Chapter Text

Izuku use to dread being quirkless. He went all through elementary school brutally bullied by someone who he used to call a childhood friend and that broke something inside of him, Made his emotions a little bit duller that when he was a child. Suddenly he couldn’t find the same comfort in the dreams of becoming a hero. Especialy when in his last year of junior high school, he discovered that his childhood bully was on the road to become a pro-hero and a very successful one at that.

Izuku soon after gave up on the dream of becoming a hero. As he grew up, he discovered that even though he was quirkless there were jobs that suited his personality much better than the childhood dreram of becoming a hero. He found that these dreams of becoming a hero held him back from choosing classes that supported a differnt job that he could do very well, and this fact allowed him to start to pick up the pieces of his emotions and dreams that were destroyed when he realised that a pro-hero only focuses on power and not always on personality and doing what was right. He soon found people that supported him in life rather than casting him aside due to the fact he had no quirk. This by no means ment he hate heros, Izuku understood that even if they were doing what they did for fame and power at least they did good things, but then Izuku also understood what the villans were talking about. He understood that heros and villans often wanted the same thing and just went about differnt ways to achive it and no matter how much he tried to forget about that side of the world he still wanted to be part of it, still wanted to watch the strugel between villans and heros and watch one side dominate the other.

Even when following that dream, one that had drasticaly changed from when he was in elementary school but a dream he was willing to work for, a more realistic dream in his eyes, life continued to move on. He soon found himself in university and quickly gained a part time job with a news agency, a job that was closly linked with heros work. This agency soon saw that he had skills in memorising heroes names, powers, weaknesses and put him to good use, This quick acess to a weath of inforamtion would allow the agency to produce accurate reports and news bulletins in a even shorter amount of time, but this job did not sute him, Izuku found himself to much in the eyes of the public and often would stutter infront of the camera, unable to display what the agency wanted him to. Even once graduated university and left his part time job he kept in contact with those from the news, who apreciated his work ethic and understanding of the hero world. leading to him growing a larger system of contacts that were willing to give him information, some of which was public knowledge and some of which was a bit more secretive than what a normal person would hear.

This is where Izuku is now, in a backroom of an average bar that one of his old university friends owns and runs, computer screens shed blue light around the room as information runs across the screens. A light knock on the door of said room alerted Izuku to hastly place a mask that was half white and half black on his face.

“you have another one” the voice from the other side of the door clearly said, ensuring to give away no familiarity or name to the customer that was standing outside the door.

“send them in” Izuku replied in a monotone voice that was quiet but clear.

The customer walked in, body tense with worry as he faced one of the most dangerous people that he could have met.

He lightly stutters as he attempted to speak his request, coughs to clear his throat and with a fake air of confidence asks:

“I am here for information”

Izuku leans forward with elbows leaning on the table and a smirk hidden behind the mask.

“aren’t you all”
