Summary
Infiltrate the League of Villains, at all costs - that's what he's supposed to do, even if it means letting Dabi squirm deeper under his skin than he ever anticipated. But the more Hawks learns about Dabi, and the more he tries to protect the Todoroki family Dabi seems to have set an eye on, the more secrets he uncovers.
Dabi tries not to let anyone or anything get close to him, but he still struggles to fully distance himself from the past. And then there's Hawks, who so obviously follows other motives than wanting to become a member of the League, but there's just something about him that makes Dabi keep him around longer and longer.
The more secrets they uncover, the more they're forced to confront their own beliefs of what it means to be a hero or a villain, until they have to realise they were both wrong. For Hawks, being a hero means to save people, but can he save the man who has dedicated his life to bringing heroes down? To Dabi, being a villain always meant destruction, but will he sacrifice his ultimate goal just to watch his flames burn away what he hates?
