Maya-sensei has always watching her students from afar. Despite her cold personality, she is quite popular among the students due to her good-looking face and brilliance. She also cares about her students deeply, which makes them falls for her more. She even has a fanclub of herself.
However, Saijo Claudine, a top student in the school, always finds herself hating the teacher, who she thinks as "annoying teacher". It was all started in a class, where Maya first transfered to Seisho. She found herself staring at blonde, who dared to interrupt her class.
"That's not the answer, sensei. "
"..... What do you mean by that, Saijo-san? "
Saijo Claudine stood up, pointing her fingers to the whiteboard and explaining her 'error'. Maya finds herself slightly amused by how sharp Claudine is despite of being ten years younger than her.
"Saijo-san, your explanation is correct, but do you realize.... "
Maya explained her point to the blonde, who immediately turned red, maybe out of frustration. Her eyes was fiery, to Maya's liking. The half French just huffed and sat down after realizing her mistakes.
After the event, Maya found herself interested in the blonde. The blonde, however, surprisingly the weakest in her subject. That made the brunette dumbfounded. She is the top in every subject, but not hers? Either she's really weak or it was intended, Maya didn't know.
All she knew was she already fall for the blonde without she herself even realize it.

It has been two year after meeting her. Now, Claudine is at her third year in Seisho. Their relationship has developed, from a cold glare to a more unnerving one. A bit relaxing, though. Maya always wishes that Kuro will keep her guard down around her, but the blonde won't.
Sometimes Maya caught her favorite student smiled warmly towards her friends, but whenever their gaze met, she automatically scowled or averting the teacher's gaze.
'I want you to smile like that at me too... ' That's what the brunette always thought, but never poured it out loud.

Something changes. Maya realised something was indeed changing. She knew, she always watched Claudine. The way she always daydreaming in her class, the way she dances, the way she wrote something and then erased it on her paper, Tendou Maya knew it. Claudine changed.
Her Claudine changed.
And the brunette knew why.
"Ah, Tendou-sensei. Good evening. "
"Good evening.... " It was all because of her. ".... Honami Hisame. " The girl who Claudine met during the exchange program from Seiran. But Maya, being professional as she always, only smiled. "Waiting for Saijo-san, I see? "
The shorter girl immediately blushed by the name. "A-ah, is it too obvious? " She scratched her cheeks shyly. Maya knew it was wrong to ask about students' private life, especially when they were not from her school, but she asked anyways.
"Why do you always hangout together? Don't worry, I'm not forcing you to answer it. "
Hisame was startled by the sudden direct question, but she was able to contain herself and answered. "Oh, Kuro-san has been teaching me French for this past day, so we ended up getting close together! "
Ah. She even referred her Claudine as "Kuro-san". How weird, her heart was hurting.
"Ah, there you are, Hisame-san! Sorry for the wait-"
Claudine's word was hung as she saw her sensei there. Her smile turned to a glare as she suddenly wrapped her hand around Hisame's arm, dragging the girl away from Maya.
"Let's go. " "Eh? But sensei -" "Just leave the annoying woman alone."
Maya watched both of them walked away from her. Her heart throbbed again in pain. But what can she do? Claudine already has someone else, why should she cares? She's happy as long as Saijo-san is, but why is she experiencing this pain? The brunette clenched her shirt, gasping. This feelings....
Maya fell on her knees, her breath become shaky. Her vision became blurry. 'This feeling.... Why am I just realising it today..? After three years.... ' the brunette thought. Her lungs felt as if it was filled with fire, so she coughed. Something spilled out from her mouth. Her vision was still blurry as she tried to recognise what it was.
A... Petal.... Red petals falling everywhere in her hand. Maya took them, rubbing it with her fingers. Then, the reality hits her.
Tendou Maya, the most popular teacher in Seisho, has Hanahaki for Saijo Claudine, the top student who hates her very being.
Thus, their story begin.
