Summary
At the end of the Mask, hot outlaw Dorian Tyrell is unaccounted for-- we know he is flushed beneath the Coco Bongo by The Mask, but we are never shown what this Underworld looks like. At the end of the Austin Powers trilogy, he is fully cemented as a mere figment of popular culture: transitive, liminal, purposeless. And though Jim Carrey does get his own "mojo" by the end of the Mask, I don't buy it. How can a loser like that, who can't even talk to Cameron Diaz like a human being, get mojo from turning into the Horny Wolf of old cartoons?
