"Ow! Hey, this is supposed to be a massage, not you beating me up!" Chuuya shouted as he lay on his stomach, head turned to the side and resting on his folded arms to more effectively yell at Dazai. "If you're gonna insist on doing this, then don't hurt me, dammit!"
"Sorry, Chibi! You're just so cute like this, I accidentally used more force than necessary. Please forgive me!" Dazai sang while he pressed his hands into Chuuya's back, attempting to work-out any knots and soreness in it.
"Oh, shut it!" Chuuya yelled once more as he turned his head away, a faint dusting of red showing on his face.
Dazai merely hummed in response as he continued to work his hands into Chuuya's back, neck, and shoulders. Chuuya had originally strongly opposed the idea of a massage, saying 'I don't want your filthy hands all over me! And I doubt you could even give a half-decent massage, anyways.' but after some convincing of the skill and cleanliness of his hands, Dazai was able to get Chuuya to accept the offer. If he was being honest, he did have some ulterior motives, but when didn't he?
Dazai knows that no matter how much they trust each other, there will be a lingering uncertainty between them for a while longer. That's why Dazai wants to do this; He wants to prove to Chuuya that he can be gentle and kind with his hands, even if they were stained with blood. He wanted Chuuya to know that he can trust him with his body in a vulnerable state, whether that meant a massage like this or something more intimate. This was the first step into a more trusting relationship. He also really liked touching Chuuya, and of course, he wanted to relieve his body of all the stress and fighting of the day. He deserved that, at the very least.
After a few more minutes of gentle yet firm pressing and rubbing, Chuuya seemed to relax. His body wasn't so tense anymore, and that ultimately was the goal of this session. Seeing Chuuya so calm and trusting of him made Dazai's heart flutter a bit, he wouldn't deny that. After a moment of hesitation, Dazai pressed a few feather-light kisses to Chuuya's back and neck. He couldn't help himself.
Though his face probably heated up a bit, Chuuya showed no signs of discomfort from the kisses. It seemed that he relaxed even more, and he let out a soft sigh at the feelings. Dazai could swear that he saw the tiniest smile appear on his face.
"Do you feel better, Chuuya?" Dazai asked, not entirely expecting an answer.
Chuuya turned his head back to the side to face Dazai. "Mm...I guess. You're a lot better at this than I expected if that means anything."
It did mean something. It meant that Chuuya trusted him enough to let his guard fully down and give an honest answer about how he feels. Dazai would be lying if he said that didn't make him happy. "Good to hear." came Dazai's response, kept short as to hide how much Chuuya's honesty sent him soaring.
Five more minutes passed and Dazai could hear soft snoring coming from Chuuya. The final show of vulnerability: Sleep. Dazai stopped his movements and laid down next to Chuuya, pulling the blanket up to cover both of them. He wrapped his arms around him best he could before Chuuya shifted in his sleep, turning around and hugging him. Dazai felt his heart burst in his chest and he could feel the love-sick smile on his face. He whispered, "Goodnight, Chuuya." and placed another kiss to the top of his head before properly curling his arms around the smaller man and falling asleep alongside him.
