Work Text:
Eijun wakes up in the middle of the night, his thin tank-top doing nothing to offer comfort against the chilly weather. After sensing warmness at his right he scoots closer, this way he also avoids the glaring street light streaming in through the curtains.
He yawns and reaches a hand over Koushuu’s chest to grab the clock that’s resting atop the bedside table and check the time, thinking that maybe he can go out for a run.
“What are you doing?” Koushuu grumbles, his tone low and his eyes still closed.
Eijun is startled by the sudden question and pulls his arm back. In his hurry to hide he snatches all the blankets to cover his body. He hears Koushuu take a deep breath, like he’s trying to remain collected.
Eijun doesn’t move at all for a good while, so the first one to yield is Koushuu.
He’s shirtless and only wearing his pajama pants. Koushuu glances at the clock and after registering the fact that it’s 3am he understand why it’s so cold. He could go and get a blanket for himself, but the thought of getting out of bed doesn’t appeal to him in the slightest, so he makes up his mind.
Koushuu says, “I might freeze to death here, you know?”
Eijun doesn’t reply, but turns around towards the sound of his voice. It’s like he’s waiting for Koushuu to continue and elaborate further.
Koushuu runs a hand through his disheveled hair out of habit and sits up. He pokes gently at the lump of blankets that is Eijun. Eijun giggles despite his best efforts. How can he not? Koushuu aimed right for his neck, where he knows he’s ticklish.
Koushuu speaks up again, “Were you planning to go out at this hour?”
Only Eijun’s head emerges from within the mountain of blankets, and it does so in a hesitant manner. Eijun offers him a gaze that asks for mercy, however Koushuu shakes his head and is quick to take advantage of the situation.
He hovers over Eijun, his hands supporting his weight. Eijun is still tightly wrapped in the blankets and can’t do much else except protest weakly.
He only manages to mutter the first half of Koushuu’s name before breaking out into giggles once more. This time it has nothing to do with pokes, it’s rather the featherlight kisses that Koushuu leaves on his skin as he pushes aside his “shield”.
A kiss on his chin, his adam apple, then his collarbone. Eijun shivers when Koushuu buries his face on his neck and breathes out his name.
The blanket is tangled on his legs now and it’s messy. With his upper half uncovered now, he feels sympathy for Koushuu.
“You did this on purpose,” Eijun accuses.
Koushuu chuckles and nods without showing any remorse at all.
Eijun circles his arms around his waist and starts drawing mindless patterns on Koushuu’s back with his index fingers. Eventually those patterns evolve into hearts and suns. When Koushuu shivers in his embrace Eijun smiles, feeling smug, and hugs him closer.
“Aren’t i too heavy?” Koushuu asks. It’s sudden and Eijun can’t believe he’s worrying about that now.
Eijun teases, “Don’t ruin the mood.”
Koushuu lifts his head and stares at him, “Isn’t it you wh-”
Eijun cuts him off, “Won’t you keep kissing me already?”
Meet with these blunt words Koushuu blushes, but doesn’t look away like usual. Eijun thinks that’s adorable and so cute, affection makes his chest feel warm. His heartbeat picks up its pace.
Koushuu complies to his request. Eijun forgets all about running, it can surely wait for another night.
