Chapter Text
Peter ran through his mental checklist one more time before zipping up his duffel bag.
“Peter Happy’s here, you ready?” May called.
“Coming,” The teen called back as he grabbed his bag and exited his room.
Aunt May was going on a work retreat so the teen would be staying at the tower with Tony until she got back. To say the teen was excited would be a huge understatement, but he was nervous too.
Lately the teen had been waking up to a wet bed. After a week he’d had enough and decided to do some research. The teen came across a sight explaining about age regression and what can cause it. Peter figured it was his body’s way of coping with everything that had happened to him so far. Out of pure curiosity the teen did even more research and saw it was normal and decided it couldn’t hurt to try it. So the next day Peter went and brought some dry nights, a pacifier, an Iron Man plushie and a night light. That night after patrol and May fell asleep, Peter put on one of the dry nights and let himself regress. It took a while due to nerves and being unsure, but soon he was curled up with his pacifier and fell asleep. Waking up to a wet nappy was gross to say the least, but it was better than a wet bed and Peter felt better than he had in a while.
So the teen decided to be a secret little, which had worked out well so far.
Now though he’d be staying with his mentor Tony Stark. Peter just hoped the man wouldn’t find out or see his little stuff he had tucked away in his bag.
“Peter? Hello, earth to Spider-Man,” May cooed, waving a hand in front of his face.
“Sorry what?” Peter asked coming back to reality.
“We gotta go, Happy’s waiting,” May told him with an amused smile.
“Oh right sure,” Peter said with a nervous smile and grabbed May’s suitcase, waiting until she locked up before they headed down to the car.
“Hey Happy,” Peter greeted upon seeing the man.
“Hey Kiddo,” Happy smiled, helping him load the case and bag, “hey May.”
“Hey Happy,” May smiled back at him.
Peter watched their awkward interaction before shaking his head and getting into the car.
Nope.
Not getting into that.
May climbed in the front next to Happy and they headed to the tower.
Happy pulled up and Peter excitedly got out and grabbed his bag from the trunk, bouncing on the balls of his feet as May walked over to him.
“You be good for Mr. Stark okay?” She reminded, cupping his cheeks, “and call me if you need me to come home.”
“Mom,” Peter giggled, “I’ll be fine, Mr. Stark will take care of me. Go enjoy your holiday.”
May smiled and kissed his forehead, hugging the teen tightly.
How did she get so lucky?
“I love you.”
“I love you too mom.”
The two pulled away and with a final smile May got back into the car, Peter waving until they disappeared.
Turning on his heel the teen practically ran to the elevator in the lobby, greeting the receptionist as he passed.
“Good morning Master Parker,” FRIDAY greeted as he entered.
“Morning Friday, common floor please,” Peter smiled, the elevator rising to the requested floor.
“Thanks Fri,” Peter called over his shoulder as he stepped out of the elevator.
“Of course Master Parker,” the A.I replied chirpily.
Peter smiled and ran to his room to drop his bag off before heading down to the lab.
“Hey kiddo,” Tony greeted with a smile, looking up when the teen walked in.
“Hey Dad,” Peter greeted, walking over to wrap his arms around the man.
Tony wrapped his arms back around Peter and just held him for a while, chuckling when the teen nuzzled into his shoulder.
Five minutes later the two pulled away and got work on their own projects, talking about anything and everything that came to mind.
As the morning drifted into afternoon Peter felt his eyelids get heavier and heavier from being out on patrol late the night before. The teen decided to just rest his eyes for a few minutes and then get back to work. So Peter folded his arms on the table and put his head down and closed his eyes, falling fast asleep seconds later.
“What do you think?” Tony asked, not receiving an answer, “Pete?”
The man looked up and his face immediately softened at the sight of Peter asleep at his work station.
Smiling softly Tony walked over and gently lifted Peter into his arms, the teen subconsciously hanging on to man and mumbling incoherently. Tony chuckled and kissed the side of his head as he carried him towards the elevator, Friday wordlessly taking them to the common floor.
Once he got to Peter’s room Tony pulled the covers back and lay the teen down, removing his shoes and hoodie before tucking the blankets around him. Brushing his bangs back the man placed a soft kiss on his forehead.
“Sleep tight Spiderbaby,” Tony smiled, quietly exiting the room and heading back down to the lab.
Two hours later Peter rolled over, eyes flying open when he felt wetness against his legs. The teen sat up and threw the covers off only to see his worst fear confirmed.
He’d wet the bed.
“No, no, no,” Peter mumbled as he scrambled out of bed, tears starting to well in eyes. He couldn’t let Tony see this; the man would never want to see him again.
“Master Parker, you appear to be in distress,” FRIDAY piped up, “shall I alert Mr. Stark?”
Peter didn’t hear her as his heart pounded in his ears as he tried to strip the bed, his hands shaking as tears started to fall.
“Peter, you okay?” A voice asked behind him.
Peter whirled around and was met with the worried face of the one person he didn’t want to see right now. Peter watched as the man’s eyes flick to the bed and the wetness on Peter’s pants, concerned brown eyes meeting Peter’s scared ones. That was all he took for the teen to start sobbing.
“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay,” Tony soothed as he walked over and pulled the distressed teen into a hug, kissing the top of his head, “I’m not mad just calm down, it’s okay. It’s okay.”
Tony gently rocked Peter as the teen clung to him, rubbing a hand up and down his back as he whispered soothingly.
After a few minutes Peter’s sobs died down to sniffles and the teen kept his eyes on the floor.
“Hey,” Tony said softly, tilting the teens chin up and gently wiping away his tear tracks, “It’s okay.”
Peter whimpered, and Tony felt his heart break.
“Shh, you’re alright. Let’s get you in the shower and I’ll sort the bed out alright?”
Peter nodded with a sniff and let Tony gently guide him to the bathroom. The man turned the shower on and kissed the teen on the forehead, saying he’d meet him in the living room when he was done.
Tony dropped a couple of fresh towels in the bathroom and took Peter’s soiled clothes before stripping the bed. The man put the bed sheets and Peter’s sodden clothes in the washing machine, changing into joggers and a soft shirt after washing his hands.
Tony dug out Peter’s fleece blanket and went to the living room to wait.
Peter took his time in the shower and tried not to cry; he couldn’t believe Tony had caught him like that. The teen had hoped to keep it hidden and now Tony knew. How was he going to face him now?
Peter shut the shower off and dried himself before changing into joggers and one of Tony’s old MIT hoodies, and slowly shuffled to the living room with his arms wrapped around himself. The teen felt his heart pound as the worst scenarios went through his head. His suit would be taken away and told he couldn’t be a hero anymore. Tony would be angry and never want to see him again.
Peter saw Tony waiting for him and froze, the teen wanted to run and hide or the ground to swallow him whole. Tony saw Peter and gave him a soft smile as he opened his arms.
“C’mere kiddo.”
Peter’s face crumpled and wasted no time running and jumping into the man’s arms, face hidden in the man’s neck.
Tony hugged Peter tightly and sat with the teen on his lap, wrapping the blanket around him.
“What’s going on bug?” The man asked softly, rubbing his hand up and down Peter’s back as the teen curled against his chest.
“Please don’t be mad at me,” Peter whispered, keeping his eyes down.
“I’m not mad kiddo,” Tony promised, pressing a soft kiss to the teen’s forehead, “I just wanna know what’s going on.”
Peter took a shuddering breath and told Tony everything all while the man ran his fingers through the teens curls.
“So you’re a little?” Tony asked once Peter was done explaining, feeling the teen nod, “and how old are you when in little space?”
“One and a half,” Peter answered.
The two lapsed into silence as Tony took a moment to take everything in. Peter nervously looked up at Tony.
“Dad?” He asked softly, Tony looking down at him, “I’m sorry.”
“No sweetheart don’t apologise, you have nothing to be sorry for,” Tony soothed, rubbing the teen’s arm.
“But – but,” The teen stuttered.
“Calm down kiddo, it’s okay,” the man soothed, “you regress to help you with stress right?” Peter nodded and Tony smiled at him softly, “Then that’s okay, I’m just sorry you felt like you couldn’t tell me.”
“Are – are you okay with it?” He asked nervously, biting his lip.
“I’m perfectly okay with it bug, as long as your safe and happy,” Tony smiled, holding Peter when the teen hugged him.
After a few minutes Tony heard Peter’s stomach rumble and chuckled.
“How does some dinner and a movie sound?” He asked.
“Sounds good,” Peter said, smiling into the man’s shoulder, “Can we get pizza?”
“Sure,” Tony smiled, “I’ll order the pizza, you get the movie ready.”
With that Peter got off Tony’s lap and got the film ready while Tony ordered pizza, both building a nest with pillows and blankets on the couch as they waited for the food.
Once the pizza arrived, Peter snuggled into Tony’s side while they ate and watched Shrek.
Halfway through the movie Tony noticed Peter fidgeting more than usual.
“You okay there bug?” He asked making Peter jump slightly, before he gave a jerky nod, “Pete, it’s okay if you wanna go into little space.”
“R – Really?” The teen asked, hope in his eyes.
“Sure it is bug,” Tony reassured. He’d rather have the kid go into little space than suffer in big space.
Peter smiled and held his arms out to Tony, clinging like a koala as the man lifted him and carried him to his room.
After changing into a pull up and pyjamas, Peter grabbed his plushie and pacifier and let Tony carry him back to the living room.
The two got settled on the couch and Peter snuggled into Tony’s side, nervously playing with his pacifier.
“What helps you regress bug?” Tony asked softly.
“Um, Scooby-doo,” Peter replied.
“You heard the kid Fri,” Tony told his AI, gently pulling the teen into his lap and wrapping him in his blanket.
Peter curled against Tony chest as the movie began to play, pacifier soon in his mouth as he hugged his plushie.
Tony couldn’t help but smile when he heard the teen giggle around his pacifier, gently running his fingers through the boys hair. The teen snuggled close and leaned into the touch as he felt his eyes start to close.
“Fank you,” he whispered around his pacifier.
“Anytime bug,” Tony whispered back, kissing the top of the teens head.
Peter smiled at him before tucking his head under the man’s chin and letting sleep claim him.
Once the movie was over Tony smiled down at the sleeping teen, lifting him bridal style and once again carrying him to his room. Tony tucked the teen in and plugged in the nightlight, smiling widely as a soft blue glow filled the room.
“Goodnight Spider-baby,” Tony whispered, brushing Peter’s bangs back and pecking his forehead.
With that he quietly left the room.
Tony gathered up their pizza boxes and put them in the trash before sorting the pillows and blankets.
“Hey Fri, order some extra pull-ups, pacifiers and anything else a little may need,” he said to his AI.
“Right away boss, I’ll make sure they’re Avenger and Spider-Man themed,” she replied.
“That’s my girl,” Tony smiled, checking the living room and checking on Peter once more before heading to bed himself.
Chapter 2
Notes:
I know I said I’d have this up in October, but stuff came up and I got burnt out. Anyway here is chapter 2, and I hope you like it :3
Chapter Text
The sun peeked through the gap in Peter’s curtains and spilled over his face, causing the teen to groan and roll away as his eyes fluttered open at the wetness of his nappy. With a slight grimace the teen stretched and got out of bed, making sure he grabbed some fresh clothes on his way to the bathroom.
After showering Peter put on his joggers and stolen hoodie the memories from yesterday came flooding back as he dried his hair.
Mr. Stark said he was okay with the teen being a little, but did he still the same now he’d had some time to sleep on it?
Only one way to find out.
Peter took a calming breath, prepared himself for the worst like always, and headed for the kitchen.
“Morning kiddo,” Tony greeted upon seeing the teen, smiling as he leant against the counter with his coffee, “you sleep okay?”
“Morning Dad,” Peter yawned, “yeah I slept okay. Can I – can I ask you something?”
“Sure bud, you know you can ask me anything,” Tony said, a little worried at the teens sudden nervousness.
“Um are you – are you sure you’re okay with it?” Peter asked, eyes on his hands as they played with the hem of his hoodie, “With me being little I mean. Are you – are you really okay with it?”
Tony placed his mug in the sink before walking over and wrapping his arms around the kid warmly.
“Of course I’m okay with it bug,” he promised, kissing the top of the teens head, “I swear I’m okay with it.”
Peter let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding and hugged his Dad back. “Thank you,” he whispered, feeling safe and secure in the man’s hold.
The two stood embraced for a few minutes before Peter’s stomach rumbled.
“Time for some breakfast huh buddy?” Tony asked with a soft smile.
“Yes please,” Peter answered, blush dusting his cheeks.
Tony chuckled, ruffling the kids hair before they got started on making chocolate chip pancakes.
“By the way I got you something,” Tony told Peter halfway through breakfast. “Really?” Peter asked.
“Really,” the man smiled nervously, “I just hope I’m not overstepping with it.”
"Not possible," Peter said with a smile, excitement starting to sparkle in his eyes, "what you get me?"
Tony chuckled.
"Let's go see shall we?" He asked with a smile and a twinkle in his eye, "it's in the living room."
Peter's eyes grew wide at the sight he saw. There on the coffee table sat a plain box and a large pack of pull-ups, Peter looked up at Tony with the same look as a confused puppy.
"Go ahead, open it," the man encouraged and watched with bated breath as the teen slowly and carefully opened the plain box.
Peter's eyes grew even wider and his jaw fell open at the contents inside. With his hands shaking slightly Peter pulled out onesies and normal pjs, cute daytime clothes and shoes, a couple of sippy cups, several milk bottles, a handful of pacifiers and a Scooby-Doo nightlight. The teen blushed at the realisation that everything was mostly IronMan and Spider-Man themed.
"Is this - is this all for me?" His asked in a small voice, eyes fixed on all the new items.
"It sure is kiddo, you know if you want it," Tony said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, "I hope I haven't overstepped, and I was thinking of maybe turning one of the extra rooms into a nursery for you. But I didn't buy anything because I didn't want to assume..."
Tony was cut off by the teen throwing his arms around him in a hug, face hidden in his chest.
"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong?" Tony asked when he heard Peter sobbing, his arms instantly wrapping around the boy.
"Thank you," Peter's voice was muffled but Tony heard it, “thank you so much.”
A smile formed on the man’s face.
"You’re more than welcome bug," the man soothed, pressing a soft kiss to the top of the teens head as the other hand rubbed up and down his back.
Once Peter had calmed down Tony gently wiped away his tears and kissed the teen’s forehead, before they packed away all of Peter’s new things and heading down to the lab for a while.
The music played at a low comfortable volume as the two of them worked on their own projects.
"Hey Dad?" Peter asked nervously after a few minutes of them working in silence.
"What's up kiddo?" Tony asked, looking up from his project to give the kid his full attention.
"Did you - did you mean it when you said about a nursery?" Doe brown eyes looked up at him, the man could’ve sworn he saw a flash of fear.
"Only if you want one bud," he explained, moving his chair around to sit beside Peter, "I didn't know whether you'd want a safe place for when you’re in little space. You don't have to, it was just an idea."
"Can I - can I think about it?"
"Of course you can kiddo," Tony said with a smile, kissing the side of Peter's head, "I'm not gonna force you. This whole little thing is new to me and I want to help anyway I can. That means making sure you feel comfortable and in control with what happens."
"Thanks," Peter smiled in relief, hugging the man tightly.
He liked the idea of having a nursery as a safe place for when he regressed, he just didn’t feel ready for one yet.
"Anytime kiddo," Tony smiled squeezing him slightly, "now how does McDonald's for lunch sound?"
The man couldn't help but laugh at the teens enthusiastic nod and put the order in with FRIDAY.
The two of them got a couple more hours of work done before the food arrived.
After lunch the two of them decided to wind down by watching a movie, Peter’s head resting in Tony’s lap as the man carded his fingers through his sons hair.
“Hey buckaroo, I’ve been thinking,” Tony said halfway through the movie.
“What about?” Peter asked, rolling onto his back to look up at him.
“I think we should tell May about this whole little thing.”
Peter’s face fell and Tony felt his heart break at the sight, the last he wanted was for the kid to feel embarrassed or ashamed.
“Pete?” Tony asked, his sons silence was starting to unnerve him.
“I uh I – I wanna tell her,” Peter admitted quietly, nervously playing with the hem of his hoodie, “but I don’t know how.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” the man soothed pulling Peter up so he could hug the teen to his chest, “we can figure out how to tell her, and if you want I’ll be right there with you.”
“Can you tell her for me?” The teen whispered.
“I would bug, but I think May would prefer it if it came from you,” the man said, kissing his forehead, “but I promise I’ll be right there when you tell her.”
“Can we tell her when she comes back?”
“Of course bug, but you tell her as soon as okay?”
Peter simply nodded and decided to stay curled against the warmth of his Dad’s chest.
After the movie the duo headed to the kitchen, Peter hopped up on the counter and started munching on an apple.
“So my little troublemaker,” Tony teased lightly, as he searched through the cupboards, “what do you feel like having for dinner?”
Peter was about to answer when he suddenly felt himself start slipping into little space.
“Kid?” Tony asked, turning around to look at the teen, “hey you okay?”
“I’m okay, just gonna go change,” the teen gave him a small smile.
“You need some help?” Tony asked, gently ushering Peter to his room when the teen shook his head.
Five minutes later Peter walked back into the kitchen dressed in his IronMan footsie pyjamas, Spider-Man dummy in his mouth and his plushie held to his chest. Tony turned from the stove and smiled at the sight.
“Aww, well don’t you look cute,” he cooed, Peter blushed with a shy smile, “c’mere baby.”
With that Tony lifted Peter into his arms and rest him on his hip, turning back to the stove and stirring the spaghetti.
“Want me to save some of this for you tomorrow?” The man asked softly, Peter nodded as he watched the spoon go around.
“Okay kiddo, I just gotta put you down for a bit okay?” Tony explained, not liking the look of fear that flashed in the teens eyes, “I swear its just for a couple of minutes okay?”
Peter hesitated before nodding, Tony kissing the side of his head before gently setting him on the kitchen island.
Peter watched as Tony put some food on a plate for himself, put the extra in a tub and made up a couple of bottles for later.
“Daddy,” Peter whined holding his arms out to Tony.
“Hey sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Tony cooed lifting the boy back into his arms.
Peter simply clung to Tony and yawned before resting his head on his shoulder.
Nap time.
With a smile, Tony half filled a sippy cup with water before carrying Peter to his room.
The man placed the half asleep little down and tucked him in, gently brushing the bangs off the kids face before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
“Sleep tight kiddo,” Tony whispered before turning on the baby monitor, attaching the other to his hip and gently closing the door behind him.
The man walked back to the kitchen and warmed his dinner in the microwave while putting the container for Peter in the fridge.
“Hey Fri, how’s Peter doing?” Tony asked softly.
He knew he’d only just put the kid down for a nap but sue him, he wanted to make sure his kid was okay.
“He’s fine boss, just sleeping,” the AI answered in amusement.
The man couldn’t help but smile, this kid was going to be the death of him.
Not that he’d mind.
The beeping if the microwave brought Tony back to reality and he sat down to eat, listening Peter’s soft snores over the baby monitor as background noise. After eating Tony headed down to the lab to do some tinkering on his repulsor’s.
An hour later Tony was pulled out of his creative zone when he heard Peter over the baby monitor.
“Daddy,” he whined.
Tony couldn’t help but smile fondly, warmth blooming in his chest upon hearing that word. He wiped his hands clean and headed up to his kids room.
Tony knocked before entering and grinned at the sight he saw. Peter was sat up in bed, hair was all over the place and pyjamas rumpled. He looked adorable and the fact he was rubbing sleep from his eyes made Tony’s heart melt.
“Hey baby,” the man greeted as he walked over.
Peter positively beamed around his pacifier as he reached out towards his Dad and made grabby hand motions.
“C’mere sweetheart,” Tony cooed, lifting the boy onto his hip and kissing his cheek, “you want a bottle?”
Peter nodded and rest his head on his Dad’s shoulder as they made their way to the kitchen once again.
Tony heated up one of the pre-made bottles before sitting on the couch, hungry teen in his lap. Tony lay Peter back so he could cradle him with one arm, removed the teens pacifier and proceeded to feed him.
“Hey Fri, play Treasure Planet,” Tony said, smiling when he saw Peter’s eyes light in excitement.
Treasure Planet had always been Peter’s favourite, its just a shame it was so underrated.
Peter turned his head so he could watch the movie, eyes not leaving the screen even as Tony sat him up to burp him. Once that was done Tony wrapped the kid in a blanket and held him close as they settled in to watch the rest of the movie.
Halfway through the movie Peter started to get fidgety and whined.
“What’s the matter bug?” Tony asked, worry spiking when he saw tears in his kid’s eyes, “Fri he okay?”
“My sensors detect Master Parker is in need of a change of pullups sir,” The AI answered.
“Is that it, you need to be changed?” He asked the teen, sighing in relief when Peter nodded.
With that Tony lifted the teen and headed back to his room.
“I know buddy I know, Daddy’s almost done,” Tony tried to sooth Peter.
As soon as the man had lay the teen down to change him the little had started sobbing, Tony’s heart instantly broke at the sound.
“Daddy,” Peter sobbed.
“Almost done bub,” Tony reassured, quickly putting on a fresh pullup and throwing the old one away. He washed his hands, buttoned up Peter’s pyjamas and pulled his son into his arms.
“It’s okay baby, you’re okay, we’re all done,” the man soothed rubbing a hand up and down his son’s back, bouncing him slightly as the teen clung to him.
Tony sat back on the couch and gently rocked the teen as he curled against his chest, calming down almost instantly in the man’s hold.
“Not a fan of the being changed huh bud?” Tony asked softly as he gently wiped away the boys tears, Peter shaking his head, “That’s okay, Daddy’ll make sure he’s super quick whenever he changes you okay?”
Tony smiled when Peter nodded and kissed the top of his head.
For the rest of the afternoon the duo watched movies on the couch, Tony’s heart melted whenever Peter giggled. If there was one sound he could listen to for the rest of his life, that would be it. The teen always seemed so stressed and like he had way too much on his mind. Hearing him laugh lifted Tony’s spirits and reassured him his kid was okay.
Dinner time soon rolled around and Tony decided to order Thai food for himself and warmed the other bottle up for Peter. The man fed and burped Peter before letting him watch CBeebies while he ate his own food, the teen practically glued to his side as they watched.
Halfway through the bedtime hour Peter yawned and rubbed his eyes, Tony melted into a puddle.
It should honestly be illegal to be that cute.
“Okay baby, time for bed,” the man said softly when he saw Peter’s eyes dropping. Tony gently lifted the teen up and let him hand on like a koala while Friday turned the TV off.
Tony lay Peter down and tucked the blanket around him, brushing his bangs back and smiling as the boys eyes finally slipped shut.
“Goodnight baby boy,” Tony whispered pressing a soft kiss to the kids forehead, flicking on the nightlight he’d brought.
He smiled softly before quietly leaving the room, placing the baby monitor on his nightstand. Tony changed and curled up in bed to play on his phone.
He was fast asleep after ten minutes.
Chapter Text
“May are you here?” Peter called as he walked into the living room of the apartment, freezing when he saw his Aunt standing there with an unreadable expression on her face. Seeing his pacifier in her hand made the teens blood run cold.
“What the hell is this?” May asked him, her voice dangerously low.
“That’s – that’s what I wanted to talk to you about,” the teen stuttered, his anxiety starting to spike, “at – at the tower.”
“I said, what is this?” May repeated.
“A – a pacifier,” Peter responded.
“Why do you have a pacifier?”
“May please.”
“Peter. Why do you have a pacifier at fifteen?” May repeated with a thunderous look on her face.
Peter opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He felt his hands starting to shake as terror swept through him.
He really wished Tony was here.
“Are – are you a little?” May asked, her jaw dropping when Peter’s eyes widened. Anger flashed over the woman’s face as she threw the pacifier at the teen who only just managed to catch it.
“Get out,” May whispered.
“May,” Peter tried.
“No Peter,” She told him, hurt written all over her face as tears welled in her eyes, “I can’t take anymore. First Spider-Man, now this. No. Get out.”
“But – but,” Peter tried, own tears welling as a lump formed in his throat.
“Go live with Tony, live with Happy I don’t care,” May told him softly, “Just go.”
“May please,” Peter gasped out as the image started to fade around him, “No! May!”
Peter felt himself falling.
~~
The teen bolted upright with a scream on his tongue that died in his throat.
He couldn’t breathe properly.
His breaths were coming in short, not getting enough oxygen.
Peter opened his mouth to yell but a squeak came out instead.
I’m gonna die.
I can’t breathe.
“…ter, you gotta breathe,” Tony’s voice broke through, his hands on the teen’s cheeks, “c’mon kiddo you can do it, in and out.”
Peter shook his head and looked up at his mentor, eyes wide and full of fear.
“It’s okay you can do it,” Tony tried to reassure, gently grabbing one of Peter’s hands and placing it on his own chest, “follow me.”
With that Tony started to exaggerate his breathing in hopes the teen would follow along.
“Can’t…” Peter wheezed.
“Yes you can,” Tony reassured, placing his free hand on Peter’s chest, “come on breath in and hold.”
Tony pulled a breath and watched as Peter shakily followed.
“And out,” he said after a few seconds.
The man let his breath out and was happy when the teen managed to follow.
It took longer than Tony would’ve liked but Peter’s breathing was soon back to normal.
“There you go,” Tony said softly, “you okay?”
“Chest hurts,” the teen whispered, eyes glassy.
“C’mere,” Tony said as he gently pulled Peter into his lap, the teen curled against his chest, “What got you so worked up huh?”
“Nightmare,” Peter mumbled, so quiet Tony almost didn’t hear it.
“What happened?” He asked, hand gently carding through the teens hair.
Peter shook his head with a whimper and hid his face in Tony’s neck.
“Okay, okay,” Tony soothed, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead as he began rocking gently. It didn’t take long for the motion to sooth the teen back to sleep, Tony guessed he must have only been half awake. Making a mental note to ask the teen about it in the morning Tony gently lay the teen back down and tucked him in.
“Sleep tight Spider-babe,” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead before leaving quietly.
The next morning after showering and changing Peter crawled back under his covers, last night’s ordeal finally catching up to him. Remembering what May said and did in his dream caused tears to spring to the teens eyes, a small whimper escaping.
A soft knock on the door made him jump.
“Pete you up kiddo?” Tony asked softly, opening the door and peeking in, “Pete?”
Tony walked over to the bed and crouched beside it, lifting the blanket over his head so he could see his kid.
“Hey bug what’s the matter?” He asked softly, thumb gently wiping away the stray tears that fell, “why you hiding under here?”
Peter whimpered and turned his face into his pillow, curling up into ball with his arms wrapped around himself.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Tony cooed, running a hand through the boys hair, “c’mon baby, talk to me.”
“May threw me out,” Peter mumbled, voice already muffled by the pillow.
“What do you mean?”
“She found my pacifier,” Peter told him, voice getting watery, “and she – she kicked me out.”
He broke off into a sob and Tony felt his heart break.
“Oh baby,” Tony cooed, standing so he could sit on the bed and pull the teen into his lap, “was that what happened in your nightmare?”
Peter nodded and hid his face in the man’s neck, Tony rocked him as the teen sobbed softly.
“You’re okay sweetheart, you’re okay,” Tony soothed, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead.
After a few minutes Peter’s cries died down and he curled closer to Tony’s warmth. The men held him a little tighter and hated himself for what he was about to say next, but it had to be said.
“I think we need to tell Aunt May today bug,” he told Peter softly.
The teen pulled away enough to look at the man with wide, scared eyes.
“No,” he whimpered once more, shaking his head.
“Kiddo, it’s okay. I’ll be right there while you tell her okay?” Tony soothed, gently brushing the teens bangs from his forehead.
“But – but.”
“Hey,” Tony said, his voice firm yet gentle as he pressed his forehead against Peter’s, “it’s gonna be okay. I promise.”
The teen took a deep breath and nodded. If there was one person he trusted as much as Aunt May, it was Tony.
“Okay,” Tony agreed, kissing his forehead, “want some breakfast first?”
Peter shook his so Tony simply stood, lifting the teen into his arms as he did.
The man walked into the living room and sat Peter on the couch before sitting on the coffee table opposite, handing him his mobile. The teen looked at the mobile in his shaking hands before looking up at Tony.
“It’s okay,” Tony reassured.
With a nod Peter looked back at the phone and dialled May’s number, putting it on speakerphone.
“Hello?” May answered.
“Hey May,” Peter greeted with a small smile.
“Hey sweetheart, how are you?”
“I’m okay, how’s the holiday?” Peter asked.
“It’s great baby, you and I will have to go on holiday here,” May said, sounding happy and excited about the idea.
“I’d love that,” Peter replied, hoping she wouldn’t notice the lack in enthusiasm.
“You okay kiddo? You sound a little off.”
“I’m okay, I just miss you,” Peter replied totally sidestepping what he wanted to actually tell her.
“I miss you too,” May said, talking momentarily to someone in the background, “baby I’m really sorry but I gotta go.”
“Okay, I’ll talk you later. Love you,” Peter told her, closing his eyes.
“Love you too kiddo,” May said before the call disconnected.
Peter let out a shaky breath before looking up at Tony, expecting to see disappointment on his face. But all he saw was love and reassurance.
“C’mere,” the man said softly opening his arms, wrapping Peter in them.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell her,” The teen whispered into his shoulder.
“Shh, it’s okay bug, we can try again later or tomorrow okay?” Tony soothed, running a hand through his hair.
Peter nodded and melted into Tony’s hold, feeling himself start to fall into his headspace.
“Dad. Can you help me into some little clothes?” He asked softly, blush dusting his cheeks.
Tony felt warmth bloom in his chest at that. Peter had never actually asked for help before, he either took care of it himself or was already in little space. This was a big achievement.
“Sure,” the man replied with a smile, standing with the teen in his arms, “then we need get some food inside you.”
Five minutes later Peter was in a pullup, jeans, Captain America socks and an IronMan t-shirt. Tony clipped a Hawkeye pacifier to the shirt before lifting the kid into his arms.
“There we go my little Spider-baby, you feel better now?”
Peter nodded with a smile and rest his head on Tony’s shoulder, the pacifier finding it’s way to the little one’s mouth. That’s when Tony knew the kid had fully dropped. Pressing a light kiss to his forehead the man headed for the kitchen.
“Hey Fri, can you order some rusks for me?” Tony asked as he warmed a bottle up for Peter, bouncing the little one gently.
"Of course boss," the AI replied fondly.
"You okay with that baby?" The man asked his little one as he put some bread in the toaster. Peter nodded with a smile and Tony couldn't help but smile back.
The microwave going off made the little jump slightly and whine.
"Shh it's okay baby, just the microwave letting us know your," Tony looked at the clock, "brunch is done."
This calmed Peter enough for Tony to get the bottle and test the temperature.
It was a little too hot for his liking, before Tony could really worry though the toaster went off. Once again Peter jumped but stayed calm.
"Okay baby, Daddy's got put you down for a minute okay?" The man said before setting his little on the counter.
He then made quick work of spreading butter on his toast and getting a cup of coffee, quickly taking his food to the living room.
Tony walked back into the kitchen and scooped Peter up, grabbed his bottle and headed back to the living room. The genius sat with the younger in his lap, gently moving him so he was in a laying down position to feed him.
"There we go," Tony cooed softly, smiling down at Peter as he ate.
Peter kicked his legs happily and smiled around his bottle.
“There’s my little baby’s smile.”
Once Peter was done eating Tony propped him up and used one hand to burp him while using his other to eat his food, listening as his little one laughed at the cartoon playing on TV.
“So baby,” Tony said once he’d finished his coffee, grabbing Peter’s attention, “what shall we do today?”
Peter simply smiled at him around his pacifier and Tony positively melted. Then Peter pointed towards the floor to ceiling windows, more specifically to the square of sunlight on the floor.
“You want a sunbath baby?” Tony asked, smiling as Peter nodded.
With that Tony lifted the little one as he stood and walked over to the window, gently laying Peter down in the sun and he sat by his head.
For the next half an hour the two stayed there, Tony rambling about anything to Peter which made the boy smile.
“You like the sound of Daddy’s voice bug?” Tony asked with a smile, tickling Peter’s tummy that caused him to squeal with laughter.
“Boss, you and Peter have been on the sun for thirty minutes now,” FRIDAY piped up, “I’d recommend moving him, so he doesn’t burn, also the rusks are here.”
“Thanks Fri,” Tony said, “Okay my little one, time to move.”
The genius stood and lifted Peter into his arms, the little one whining and kicking his legs lightly in protest.
“Oh I know but we don’t want you to burn do we?”
Peter sighed through his nose and let his head fall onto Tony’s shoulder as a hand came up to rub his eyes.
“You sleepy bambino?” The man asked softly, his little one nodding as he hid his face on his neck, “nap time it is.”
The man carried Peter to his room and gently lay his fast asleep cargo down on the bed, tucking him and brushing the bangs off his forehead.
“Sleep tight bambino.”
He left the room quietly.
Tony walked back into the living room and took his plate, mug and Peter's bottle to the kitchen. He put them in the dishwasher and made up some more bottles for his little one. The man then went to pick up the rusks and smiled at the boxes, of course they had the Avengers and Spider-man on the box. Opening the one with IronMan on it Tony munched on a rusk as he put all the boxes away.
"How's the Spider-Baby Fri?" He asked.
"Still sleeping boss," The AI replied.
Tony knew he was being a helicopter parent but since finding out Peter was a little, this was the first time the kid had ever regressed during the day.
He was allowed to be a little worried okay?
With that thought in mind the man started making some sandwiches in the hopes his kid would be back in normal headspace when he woke up. As much as he loved the little one, he wanted his big teen back for a little bit.
Peter rolled over, groaning at the wetness that was his pull-up. With a sigh the teen pushed himself up and out of bed, heading for the bathroom to clean up a little.
Once the teen was done with his business and wearing joggers and a hoodie, stolen from someone, he walked into the kitchen with a yawn.
"Hey kiddo," Tony smiled, "how was your nap?"
"Was okay," Peter mumbled, hugging the man and melting into his warmth.
Tony wrapped his arms around the teen and kissed the top of his head gently. The stood embraced for a few minutes before Tony spoke.
"You ready for some lunch?"
"Peanut butter and jelly?" Peter asked, looking up at the man with bright eyes.
"Peanut butter and jelly," Tony promised with a smile, pressing a kiss to the teens forehead before they sat down to eat.
Tony was halfway through telling Peter an elaborate story from his MIT days when Friday spoke up.
"Boss, May Parker is here," the AI announced, sounding as confused as a robotic voice could.
"What?" Tony asked in shock, Peter's eyes going wide.
"Says she needs to see Peter. Now."
"Okay Fri," Tony said, "send her up."
The man looked over at Peter and saw the kid on the brink of a panic attack.
"Hey, hey, hey," he said walking over, hands on Peter's cheeks, "it's okay just breath, I'm right here with you."
It took a few moments but Peter soon got his breathing back under control, and nodded just as the elevator signalled May's arrival.
"Tony?" May called.
"Go ahead to the living room May we'll be there in a second," Tony called back, turning his attention back to his teen, "hey it's gonna be okay. I'm right here with you okay?"
Peter nodded again, and Tony pressed a kiss to his forehead, leading the teen to the living room.
"Hey May," Tony greeted, "what are you doing back so early?"
"Hey Tones," she greeted, "I'm back because there's something wrong with my nephew."
"H - how?" Peter asked, half hidden behind Tony.
"Cause I know my baby and you sounded like you wanted to say something, but didn't," May replied opening her arms, wrapping them around Peter, "What's the matter baby?"
Peter shook his head and May looked at Tony for answers.
"Take a seat and we’ll explain,” Tony told her softly.
May nodded and took a seat, Peter next to her with Tony on his other side.
“Baby what’s wrong?” May asked Peter, worry in her voice.
Peter had his head down and eyes on the floor, nervously playing with his fingers.
“Peter, c’mon talk to me,” May cooed, placing her hand on his shoulder.
The teen tensed for a few seconds before relaxing, taking a deep breath before speaking.
“I – I’m a little,” he whispered, keeping his eyes on the floor, “I regress into a younger headspace to help – to help with stress.”
Tony rubbed his back hoping it would be a small comfort to the teen.
“How long has this been going on?” May asked softly.
“A – a couple weeks,” Peter answered, voice shaky, “please don’t be mad.”
May didn’t say anything for a while as she let the information sink in, Tony gently holding onto the back of Peter’s shirt so the kid wouldn’t bolt. Just when the silence got too much for Peter May spoke up again.
“Two weeks?
“I’m sorry,” Peter whimpered.
“No baby, no,” May cooed, pulling him in for a hug, “you have nothing to be sorry for, I’m just sorry you felt like you couldn’t tell me.”
“I love you Mama,” Peter said with a soft sob.
“I love you too baby,” May replied, kissing the top of his head.
After a few moments Peter felt himself starting to slip and reluctantly pulled himself out of May’s warmth.
“I uh,” he started.
“It’s okay bug,” Tony cut in, seeing the kid want to drop, “want any help getting ready?”
With a small shake of his head the genius sent the teen off to his room, explaining to May that Peter usually regressed at night so this was new to both of them. It also explained why Peter was so shy. May nodded in understanding even though she was still trying to wrap her head around the whole thing.
“Don’t worry,” Tony reassured, “I was a little overwhelmed at first too. Still am. But Peter needs this, and he needs us to be there for him.”
“You’re right, he does,” May agreed, taking a deep calming breath to compose herself, “so how old is he in this space?”
“One and a half,” Tony replied, “but don’t worry I got him some items like pacifiers and pullups, so we’re good for that.”
“What about food?” May asked, she’d known Peter since he was born. The boy could be a picky eater, and an appetite at the same time.
“Right now it’s a bottle of milk when he’s in little space. But I’ve bought some rusks to see how he gets on with those.”
May nodded and opened her mouth to speak when Peter shuffled in and plonked himself on Tony’s lap. He was wearing his Spider-Man footsie pyjamas and had his arc reactor pacifier in his mouth.
“Hey baby,” Tony greeted with a smile, “you remember who that is?”
Peter looked at May and smiled behind the pacifier.
“Mama,” he stated.
“That’s right kiddo,” Tony praised, “May you wanna cuddle?”
May was about to ask for a couple more minutes to process her nephew in footsie pyjamas, but one look at his doe eyes had her holding her arms out with a smile.
“C’mere.”
Tony passed Peter over and smiled when the little one snuggled right up to May. Peter rest his head on her shoulder and both Parkers smiled at Tony.
The genius couldn’t help but smile back.
“Who’s hungry?”
After agreeing on Thai food Tony put in the order and he and May gave Peter a rusk as a snack, May giving him a bottle and burping him just as their food arrived. Then they all settled on the couch to watch movies.
Halfway through the second one Peter shifted uncomfortably with a whine.
“You okay baby?” Tony asked, only for Peter to whine and shift again, “you need your pullup changed?”
Peter nodded and made grabby hands at the man who lifted him up onto his hip.
“Sorry May, did you wanna change him?” Tony asked.
“No, you go on ahead, I’ll clean up a little,” May smiled, kissing Peter on the cheek before Tony took him to his room.
Once changed Peter yawned and rubbed at his eyes tiredly. Tony couldn’t help but smile at how adorable the motion was.
“Hey Fri, can you ask May to come in here please,” Tony asked softly, directing his attention back to Peter, “time for this little spider to go to sleep.”
With that he tucked Peter in and turned on the nightlight just as May walked in.
“Everything okay?” She asked.
“Just putting Peter to bed, thought you might wanna say goodnight,” Tony answered softly, gently patting Peter’s back to get him to sleep.
May smiled and walked over to the bed seeing the little one already half asleep.
“Night, night baby,” she whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Peter’s head.
Peter mumbled around his pacifier and let his eyes flutter shut.
“Night, night, spider-baby,” Tony whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Peter’s cheek before turning the light off and leaving quietly.
The two adults stood in the hallway, May looking at Tony with a soft smile.
“What?” The man asked.
“Being a Dad suits you,” May told him, causing the man to flush.
“I wouldn’t say that,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
“I would, and so would that little one in there,” May countered, nodding towards Peter’s room at the end.
Tony looked at Peter’s room and felt a soft smile form on his face as warmth bloomed in his chest. Now that he thought about it, May was right. Tony had been spending so much time with Peter that the kid felt like the son he never had. He’d even been called Dad when he carried a half asleep Peter to bed.
“I wanna adopt him,” The man said, May laughed softly and shook her head.
“We’ll talk about that in the morning,” she said.
“Right,” Tony replied with a blush and showed her where the spare rooms were.
The adults then bid one another goodnight and parted ways.
Tony headed to the kitchen to grab some water before heading to bed. The man clicked on the baby monitor and smiled at the sound of the kids soft snores. Glad they’d finally told May and she was okay with it, he drifted off to sleep.

Tony leant against the counter and let out a huge yawn as he waited for his coffee.
“Good morning to you too sunshine,” May’s amused voice greeted as she walked in.
“Heh morning May,” the man greeted rubbing the sleep from his eyes, “how’d you sleep?”
“I slept okay thanks,” May smiled, “you?”
“I did, I’m just not a morning person,” Tony confessed with a smile, coffee machine beeping, “coffee?”
“Please.”
Tony poured two mugs and handed one over to her, the two drinking the warm liquid in comfortable silence.
“So,” Tony began, after a few minutes.
“So,” May countered.
“How do you feel about Peter being a little?” He asked, “I mean how do you really feel?”
May took a deep breath before replying.
“I gotta admit, it was a little strange at first,” she confessed, “no pun intended. But it’s who he is, and as long as he’s happy and safe, that’s all that matters to me.”
Tony nodded and smiled at her. He knew it was strange, trust him he did, he was just glad him and May were on the same page.
Speaking of Peter.
“Hey Fri, Spider-babe awake yet?”
“Young sir is just rousing from his sleep boss,” the A.I responded.
“You wanna get him?” Tony asked May.
“You go ahead,” May told him with a smile, “I’ll start on breakfast.”
With a smile and a nod, Tony headed to Peter’s room.
Tony knocked on Peter’s door gently before entering, smiling at the sight he saw.
The teen was sat up in bed rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with his dummy firmly in his mouth.
“Morning bug,” Tony greeted softly, heart melting when Peter looked up and made grabby hands at him.
Tony easily lifted the teen onto his hip and let Peter rest his head on his shoulder.
“Still feeling little baby?” The man cooed, kissing the top of Peter’s head when he nodded, “Okay, let’s change you real quick then we can have some breakfast with mama.”
With that the man quickly changed the little one before carrying him to the kitchen.
“One sleepy baby coming through,” Tony announced as he walked into the kitchen, May looking over and smiling.
“Good morning baby,” she greeted.
“Mama,” Peter smiled around his pacifier, reaching for her.
“You take the baby, I’ll finish the pancakes,” Tony said, handing Peter over.
“Hey sweetheart,” May cooed lifting the little into her arms, taking a seat at the table and settling Peter in her lap. The little one curled against her chest with his head on her shoulder.
“Did he wake up like this yesterday?” May asked, subconsciously rocking Peter.
“This is actually the first he’s woken up like this,” Tony told her, placing the food on plates, and bringing it over, “he usually wakes up in big space.”
After putting the plates down Tony warmed up one of Peter’s bottles.
“As long as he’s happy,” May said with a small shrug, Peter dozing lightly against her shoulder.
“Couldn’t agree more May,” The man smile, microwaved pinging behind him, “wanna feed him?”
“I’ll let you feed him, I fed him last night,” May replied with a smile.
Tony smiled and watched as May woke up the still sleepy little.
“Hey baby,” Tony cooed, “want some breakfast?”
Peter nodded and reached out for Tony, the man lifting him into his arms as he sat opposite May.
Tony pulled Peter’s pacifier out, gently shushing him when he whined as he cradled the boy in his arm and gave him his bottle.
“There we go,” he cooed, smiling down at the boy.
May smiled at the interaction between them.
All the times Tony said he’d never be a good father and look at him now.
After burping the teen Tony let Peter curl against him as he ate his breakfast and talked with May. Peter slowly came out of his little space but didn’t move from where he lay against Tony, letting his pacifier fall out of his mouth.
“Morning kiddo,” Tony greeted softly.
“Morning Dad, morning Mom,” the teen greeted with a smile.
“Morning sweetie,” May smiled at him.
“So what are we thinking of doing today?” Tony asked, running his fingers through Peter’s hair.
“Um can – can we go shopping for more little stuff?” The teen asked softly.
“Of course we can buddy,” Tony smiled.
“What kind of things did you wanna get sweetie?” May asked.
“Well, since being a little I’ve wanted a stuffie, and maybe some Lego’s to play with,” he replied.
“I think we can do that,” Tony said with a nod, “Okay why don’t you go change then we’ll head off.”
With that Peter slid off Tony’s lap and headed to his room to change, the adults washing up their plates.
Ten minutes later Peter emerged wearing his ripped jeans, converse and one of his best friends hoodies.
"You ready kiddo?" Tony asked, smiling at him.
At Peter's nod they all headed down to the garage and get in one of Tony's less flashy cars.
A half hour later they arrived at Toys R Us and headed inside, Peter staying close to the two of them as they walked to the toy aisle.
“It’s all yours kiddos,” Tony said, gesturing to the empty aisle with a sweep of his arm.
“I uh,” the teen stammered.
“It’s okay baby,” May reassured him, running her fingers through his hair, “you don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
“I want to,” Peter said, itching to run his fingers through the fur of the fluffy dog sat on the nearby shelf, “I’m just nervous.”
Tony and May shared as soft smile over the teen’s head.
They couldn’t blame Peter for being nervous about choosing a toy, considering he’d only just told them he was a little.
Heck the teen was still getting used to it himself.
“Tell you what,” Tony said to gain Peter’s attention, heart squeezing at the slight fear in the boys eyes, “how about me and May go and look for some Lego’s and you pick a toy?”
“Can – can I have more than one?” Peter whispered, nibbling the cuff of his hoodie nervously.
“Whaddya say May?” The man asked.
May watched as two sets of puppy eyes turned to look at her, heart melting at the sight.
“You can have a maximum of five,” she told him gently.
Peter smiled and hugged them both tightly.
“Have fun kiddo, we’ll meet you back here yeah?” Tony asked, smiling when Peter nodded before he and May headed off.
Peter walked down the toy aisle looking at all the toys nervously fiddling with the hem of his hoodie. The store was almost empty, making the teen feel less on edge.
Peter took a deep breath and walked over to a soft looking cat plushie and hesitantly reached out to run his fingers through it, smiling at the softness under his fingertips and letting out a small giggle.
“Hi,” a small voice said, making the teen jump a little and look down.
Standing there was a girl who couldn’t have been older than six, looking up at him with innocent green eyes and a wide smile.
“Uh hi,” Peter replied with a small smile of his own, crouching down to her level, “are you lost?”
The little girl shook her head and looked at the toy before looking back to Peter.
“Are you gonna get it?”
“I uh, I don’t know,” Peter replied honestly.
The little girl looked thoughtful for a moment before walking over to the shelf and grabbing one of the cats, bringing it back over and gently pressing it into Peter’s hands.
“A brown one?” He asked.
“Matches your eyes,” the little one said, bright smile still in place.
Peter smiled and looked down at the toy in his hands, covered with light brown fur and had piercing blue eyes. Hesitantly the teen brought it close to his chest and hugged it tight. The softness of the toy made him feel safe and protected.
“Thank you,” Peter said, smiling up at the girl.
“Welcome,” the girl grinned and held her hand out, “I’m Taylor.”
“I’m Peter,” the teen shook her hand.
“Are you allowed more toys?” Taylor asked, watching as Peter stood.
“I’m allowed four more,” Peter said, holding up four fingers, “do you – do you wanna help me choose?”
Peter watched as Taylor’s entire face lit up as she nodded, taking his hand, and leading him through the toy aisle.
A few minutes later Peter had a brown cat, blue dog, purple lion, grey seal, and an IronMan plushie.
“One, two, three, four, five,” Taylor counted happily, “do you like them Peter?”
“I love them Taylor,” Peter told her honestly, “thank you.”
With a smile Taylor ran forward and hugged his legs.
“There you are sweetie,” A woman said as she rounded the corner.
“Mommy,” Taylor smiled, “lookit I made a friend. This is Peter.”
“Hi,” the teen answered shyly.
“Hey kiddo,” the mom smiled, “thank you for looking after my little monster.”
“No worries,” Peter smiled.
“Hey kiddo, you ready?” A voice said from behind Peter.
The teen turned to see Tony and May, a box of Lego in the trolley they had.
A small gasp brought everyone’s attention to little Taylor, still clinging to one of Peter’s legs.
“Is IronMan your Daddy?” She asked, eyes bright.
“That I am little one,” Tony smiled, crouching down to her level, “and that’s Peter Auntie.”
Taylor’s face lit up in excitement and bounced on the balls of her feet slightly, reminding the adults of Peter when he was excited.
“I helped Peter pick out some toys,” she said, pointing up at said toys in Peter’s arms, “one of them is you in your suit.”
“So it is,” Tony shared a grin with the teen, looking back at Taylor, “thank you for helping him sweetie.”
Giggling Taylor hid her face in the teen’s leg as the man grinned and stood.
“C’mon baby girl it’s time to go, Daddy will be wondering where we are,” Taylor’s mom said.
“Aww, okay mommy,” Taylor replied, “I gotta go now Peter.”
The teen knelt down to her level.
“I’ll see you around Taylor,” he smiled, “thank you for helping me choose some toys.”
“You’re welcome,” she said throwing her arms around his neck, Peter put his toys beside him to wrap his arms around her.
The two pulled back from the hug with a smile and Taylor helped put the toys back in Peter’s arms before heading over to her mom.
“Taylor wait,” Peter said, the two turning back to him, “here, a proper thank you for helping me.”
With that Peter gave Taylor a purple unicorn with a rainbow mane and tail.
“Thank you,” Taylor said, hugging him again.
“You’re welcome,” Peter smiled, hugging her back feeling his heart warm when her mom mouthed ‘thank you.’
The two pulled away once again and said their goodbye’s waving at one another until Taylor and her mom turned the corner.
Tony and May walked over to Peter with large smiles on their faces.
“Ready kiddo?” Tony asked, smiling when Peter nodded.
“Mom, Dad, can we uh can we see if they have any colouring books?”
“Of course we can sweetheart,” May replied, Tony nodding in agreement.
With a smile Peter put the plushies in the trolley before they headed off to find what they were looking for.
In the end Peter picked three colouring books, Spider-Man, IronMan and one with animals in it. They also picked up some paper, non-toxic crayons, and some washable markers.
“What’s next?” May asked, looking at Peter.
“Um, I wouldn’t mind some new pyjamas for little space,” Peter said.
“I think we can do that,” Tony smiled.
“You boys do that,” May said, “I’ll meet you there, I just want to go look at something.”
With that May headed off and Tony led Peter over to the clothes.
“So what are we thinking? IronMan, Spider-Man, Star wars ooh Doctor Who,” Tony said as he looked through the pyjamas.
“Um can I have some Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo ones?” The teen asked quietly.
Tony practically melted at that.
The fact that the teen wanted Looney Tunes was cute in itself, add Scooby-Doo to the mix and it was just downright adorable.
While Tony looked for pj’s in his size Peter let his eyes wander around and settle on something.
“You’re a size small right?” Tony asked, not receiving an answer, “Bub?”
The man turned and saw Peter looking over at some cribs and felt a soft smile grow on his face. Tony put the Pj’s in the trolley before putting a hand on the teen’s shoulder.
“Wanna take a closer look bug?” He asked softly.
“No, I’m – I’m good,” Peter replied.
“You sure?” Tony asked, Peter nodding with a smile.
The man decided not to push it and made sure he got the right size pj’s before they met May at the checkout.
After paying the three of them headed back to the tower for some lunch.
While May made sandwiches, Tony and Peter unpacked the bags and arranged the stuffies on Peter’s bed while putting his Lego with his other little stuff.
“Hey Dad,” Peter said making Tony look over from the wardrobe, the teen wrapping his arms around him, “thanks for today.”
“You’re welcome bub,” Tony smiled, wrapping his arms around the teen, and kissing the top of his head.
The two stood embraced for a few minutes just basking in one another’s warmth, Peter snuggling as close as possible for comfort.
“Boss, May would like you to know lunch is ready,” FRIDAY announced softly.
“Thanks Fri,” Tony smiled, “you ready for lunch bub?”
Peter nodded before he spoke softly.
“Can – can I change into my little stuff first?”
“Of course you can baby, want some help?” Tony asked, smiling when Peter shook his head, “okay we’ll meet you in the living room.”
“Okay,” Peter said, smiling when Tony kissed his forehead and left him to sort himself.
A few minutes later Peter walked into the living room, May and Tony looked up and immediately cooed. The teen was wearing his Scooby-doo Pyjamas over his pullup, Arc reactor pacifier clipped to his shirt, feet clad in IronMan socks and IronMan plushie held close.
“C’mere baby,” Tony cooed, holding his arms out, smiling when Peter pretty much fell into them.
The man adjusted the teen, so he was sat on his lap with his feet in May’s and gave him his sandwich to enjoy before he regressed.
“What you wanna watch kiddo?” The man asked as Peter curled against his chest.
“Peter Pan Return to Neverland please.”
“You heard the kid Fri.”
With that FRIDAY dimmed the lights and played the movie.
After finishing his food Peter sat playing with his fingers and biting his lip not paying attention to the movie.
“You okay sweetie?” May asked, noticing her nephews odd behaviour, and catching Tony’s attention.
“I was just wondering if…” the last part came out as a mumble.
“Sorry what was that?” Tony asked softly as he gently sat Peter up properly.
“Can – can I have a nursery?” He whispered, “I’ve been thinking about it and I really want one.”
“Of course you can baby,” Tony grinned, kissing Peter’s cheek and pulling him and May into a hug.
The three stayed like that for the rest of the movie, the adults noticing how Peter’s pacifier drifted to his mouth. He was fast asleep by the time the credits rolled.
“I think we better put this little bug down for a nap,” May said softly, smile on her face.
“Sounds like a plan,” Tony smiled, “when he wakes up we can get the things for the nursery sorted.”
“Sounds good, you put him down and I’ll wash up,” May said, kissing Tony on the cheek before taking the plates to the kitchen.
With a smile Tony gently stood with his little Spider babe in his arms and carried him to his room for a nap.

Chapter Text
After putting Peter down Tony helped May with the washing up and made them both a coffee before he spoke.
"So we uh, we never talked about the whole um adoption thing this morning," Tony stumbled over his words, not wanting to upset May.
"Tony," May said softly, making the male look up at her.
A soft smile grew on her face, matching the sparkle in her eyes.
“I would love for you to adopt him,” she reassured, chuckling when Tony hugged her saying thank you over and over again.
For the next few minutes the two adults talked about the legal side and how everything would work, they’d just got the papers sorted when a sleepy Peter walked in and plonked himself in Tony’s lap.
“Hey to you too kiddo?” The man chuckled, running his fingers through his hair, “you in big or little space?”
“Big,” the teen yawned as he curled into the man’s chest to sap more warmth, both
adults smiling softly at his actions.
“What we doing this afternoon?” Peter asked.
“If you want we can order some stuff for your room, then tomorrow we'll get some paint. How's that sound?"
Peter simply nodded as he cuddled further into Tony, the man gently rocking as he held the teen close.
"Peter baby," May said softly after a few blissful moments, Peter looking at her, "there was something else we wanted to talk to you about."
"What is it?" The teen asked, May looked at Tony and nodded.
The man nodded back before looking at Peter.
"How would you feel if you got adopted and May got visitation rights?" He asked.
"It would depend on who's adopting me," Peter replied looking up at him.
"What if it was me?" Tony asked.
"Are you serious?" The teen asked as he looked between them, shock on his face.
"We're serious," May said getting his attention, "we think it would be better if you lived here, that way Tony can take care of you when you fall into little space."
"But - But May -"
"You know we have extra rooms," Tony said, "so May you could live here too, and Pepper could do with an assistant."
May smiled at that.
"Tell you what, you adopt Peter as yours and I'll move in and be his Aunt May," she said, "if you’re okay with Tony adopting you?”
"Can I think about it?" he whispered, smiling as the two engulfed him in a hug.
"Of course sweetheart, now though a certain Spider-baby needs food and we can order things for your nursery," Tony said, Peter smiling back at him.
After making sure they were fed the three sat on the couch, Peter between the two adults, and started to look for furniture. They ordered the basics like a changing table and the crib Peter saw the other day. They also bought blankets, pillows and more stuffies for him, Tony wanted to make a little nest area for the teen. Tony also ordered some kid plasters cause god knows as a teen and a little Peter was prone to getting hurt easily.
Once they were done they looked at some paint options but nothing jumped out to Peter so they gave up on that pretty quickly.
"Okay so that will get here tomorrow, so I'll ask Happy to stay in for it while we get some paint. Sound good kiddo?" Tony asked.
Peter nodded wordlessly and fiddled with the hem of his hoodie.
"Baby you okay?" May asked, sharing a worried look with Tony when Peter shrugged.
"Kiddo?" Tony tried gently, moving to sit on the coffee table in front of him, "c'mon talk to us bub."
"I thought about it," the teen muttered, looking up at them, "I uh - I want Tony to adopt me."
The two adults smiled at one another.
“Is that okay May?” The teen asked, not wanting to upset her.
This was the woman who had looked after him with Ben after his parents died. When Ben died she’d balanced a job and looking after him all on her own, Peter felt like he owed her a lot for all she’d done for him.
“It’s more than okay sweetie,” May assured, pulling Peter back to the present.
“Really?” Peter asked.
“Really,” May smiled ending up with an armful of teenager as Peter hugged her, thanking her over and over.
May reassured him it was okay as she rubbed his back with a smile on her face. Tony smiled widely as he watched the interaction and thought about the prospect of having Peter as his son.
“How does snacks and movies sound?” Tony asked smiling when the two agreed with him.
“Can – can I be little?” Peter asked, biting his lip.
“Of course you can sweetie,” Tony smiled kissing the side of his head, “want some help?”
Peter shook his head and gave them a soft smile before heading to his room, the adults gathering the snacks and getting ready for the movie. May grabbed spare blankets while Tony grabbed the pillows and they set up a nest on the couch.
Peter walked into his room and grabbed a diaper, a soft t-shirt, some joggers, and his Hawkeye pacifier. After using the bathroom the teen changed into his clothes and grabbed his pacifier and Iron Man plushie before heading back the living room.
“Daddy?” He called when he saw they weren’t there.
“In the kitchen baby,” Tony called back.
Peter smiled and headed over, pacifier drifting to his mouth as he let himself drop.
“Hey sweetie,” May greeted with a smile as she poured some juice for her and Tony.
“There’s the baby,” Tony cooed and picked the blushing teen up, the microwave pinging, “you want some milk?”
Peter smiled around his pacifier and nodded hugging his plushie closer as Tony grabbed the bottle and smiled as they headed back to the living room with May carrying her and Tony’s drink.
Tony got comfy and situated Peter in his lap before gently removing his pacifier and feeding him.
“Friday play Sonic the Hedgehog movie please,” May said as she got comfortable, Peter finishing his drink before curling into Tony’s side as the man burped him.
As the movie played the three of them wrapped themselves up in blankets and Peter ended up laying with his head in Tony’s lap and feet in May’s.
“He’s never this calm in big space,” Tony whispered, hands running through Peter’s hair as the little one’s eyelids grew heavy.
“I know,” May whispered back, gently rubbing his feet, “he’s only like this when he’s tired.”
“He’s darn cute though,” Tony smiled looking down as Peter rolled over and hid his face in his stomach, the man gently cupping the back of his head.
Once the movie ended Tony gently manoeuvred Peter into his arms and carried him to his room. He made sure the little one was in a nappy, soothing him softly when he whined. Tony then tucked him into bed, kissed his forehead and gently closed the door as Friday turned on his nightlight.
"Okay the Spider-babe is down for the night," Tony smiled as he joined May in the kitchen and took over the washing up.
"Wanna watch one more movie before we call it a night ourselves?" May asked as she dried and put away.
"Sounds good to me," Tony smiled.
After they finished the washing up the two adults sat in front of the TV and started watching Jurassic World.
Tony was asleep ten minutes later.
~~
Tony came to consciousness to the sound of singing and smiled, his eyes fluttering open to see he was laying on the couch with a blanket over him. He sighed before stretching and following the singing to the kitchen.
There he saw May cooking at the stove as she sang with a still sleepy teen in her arms.
“Morning,” May greeted upon seeing him.
“Morning,” Tony smiled as he walked over and kissed Peter’s forehead, the little one reaching for him with a whine.
“Hey baby,” he cooed as he lifted his kid into his arms, “you okay?”
Peter nodded wordlessly and rest his head on Tony shoulder, the man automatically rocking the dozing teen as he waited for the coffee machine.
May smiled, watching her boys for a moment as Tony kissed Peter’s forehead and mumbled something she didn’t catch.
“May can you pass me a rusk please? They’re in the cupboard by your head,” Tony asked with a smile.
“Sure,” May said as she grabbed a box and handed it over, watching the man pull one out and offer it to Peter.
The teen mumbled a slurred thank you before taking the snack and sucking on it, Tony smiling and taking a bite of one himself.
"So plan for today," Tony began as he leant against the counter, "when this one is in big space, we'll go and get some paint and a carpet for his room while the stuff gets here. We'll paint it tonight then tomorrow we can get the carpet fitted and put all the stuff inside, and Happy can help. Is that okay Pete?”
The teen nodded as he continued to suck on his rusk.
"Sounds like a plan," May smiled, "but first breakfast."
After breakfast Peter was more awake and went to change into his big clothes, Tony grabbing the diaper bag he now dubbed as the Peter bag.
"There he is," the man smiled as Peter walked over dressed in a jeans and a hoodie, Spider-Man themed converse on his feet.
“Daaad,” Peter whined playfully with a blush making the man chuckle.
“C’mon buckaroo, let’s get some paint and carpet for your room,” Tony said looping an arm around his shoulder, taking May’s hand as they walked to the elevator.
Chapter Text
The elevator took the three of them down to the garage where Tony chose one of his less flashy cars, making sure they were all buckled up before heading to the nearest carpet store.
“Any idea what colour you want bug?” The man asked as he glanced at Peter through the rear-view mirror.
“I was thinking maybe a pale blue, or a silvery grey,” Peter answered softly, smiling, “oh but it’s gotta super soft.”
“You got it kiddo,” Tony chuckled as they pulled into the parking lot.
The three exited the car and Tony wrapped his arm around the kids shoulders as they headed inside and started to look around all the different carpets.
“So I was thinking,” Tony started to May as Peter walked a little in front of them, “we could set up a permanent blanket fort in the nursery, whaddya think?”
“I think that’s a perfect idea,” May smiled, “at least then there’ll be a comfy place for him to escape too when he needs it.”
“Glad you agree,” the man smiled before it dropped, “But I am worried about when he goes back to school. I mean right now his drops are all over the place and I just don’t want him to drop in the middle of the school day.”
“I’m worried about that too,” May agreed, watching her boy run his hands over some carpet, “we’ll talk more about it when we get there though.”
“Okay,” Tony agreed, smiling at the grin on his kid’s face as he came over to them, “hey kiddo, you found some?”
“Yeah, c’mon it’s over here,” Peter grinned as he took the man’s hand, leading him over to where he’d found the perfect carpet.
It was a pale blue colour with light silver specks, looking almost like stars. Tony ran his hand over it and loved how soft it felt, the look on May’s face showed that she did too. After getting another confirmation from Peter they ordered the carpet and took a small sample with them to get some paint to match.
Tony drove to the nearest paint store and saw his kids eyes light up when he recognised the place.
“Harry works here,” May told Tony, noticing the look on the man’s face.
“Ah.”
He knew that Harry was Peter’s best friend, they had been since they were babies, he just never knew he worked at the paint store. He guessed it was a way for the teen to make his own money to get away from his father, a man Tony didn’t like from the moment they had met.
“Hey Pete.”
Speak of the devil.
“Harry,” Peter said, hugging the slightly taller teen.
“Hey May, Mr. Stark,” the teen greeted upon seeing them.
“Hey Harry,” May greeted, pulling her half adopted son into a hug.
“Dad this is Harry, Harry this is my Dad,” Peter introduced the two.
“Nice to finally meet you Harry,” Tony greeted, holding his hand out.
“You too,” Harry shook his hand with a smile, “so, how can I help you guys?”
“We wanna find some paint that goes with this,” Peter said, handing over the carpet sample.
“I think we can find something,” Harry said, “you redecorating?”
“Yeah,” Peter answered with a small blush.
Harry let out a soft chuckle before leading them over to the paint aisles, his and Peter’s pinkie’s linking automatically. It had started as a comfort thing when they were younger and they’d just never grown out of it. Peter liked it though, it let him know that Harry was there for him and he was there for Harry.
“Okay so there’s a solid powder blue,” Harry said, pulling Peter’s thoughts back to the present, “or there’s powder blue with very fine glitter in it. Makes the walls look sparkly. But with the carpet like this I’d personally recommend the solid one.”
“Whaddya think Peter?” Tony asked.
It was the teens room after all and Tony wanted him to have full creative reign over it.
“The solid blue,” Peter answered with a smile, he and Harry grabbing a couple of tins each.
“Anything else?” Harry asked.
“I think that’s it,” Tony replied.
“Awesome, follow me and I’ll ring these up.”
Harry rung the items up and threw in a couple packs of multi-coloured glow in the dark stars, promising to see Peter on Monday before giving him a hug and saying goodbye.
Peter fell asleep on the ride home.
Tony pulled into the garage and smiled at the sight of Peter asleep, little kitchen snores escaping his slightly open mouth. May took a picture and sent a copy to Tony before the two smiled at one another.
“I’ll get him,” Tony says, “then we can have some lunch and start painting the room.”
“Sounds like a plan,” May smiled.
With that the two got out of the car and Tony opened Peter’s door, unbuckling the teen, and gently lifted him into his arms.
“It’s okay bubba,” Tony soothed when the boy whined.
Peter snuggled back down and let Tony carry him to the lift, sticking to him as the elevator carried them up.
Just as they arrived upstairs May’s phone went off asking her to cover a shift, the woman reluctantly agreeing before kissing Peter’s head and Tony’s cheek. The three said goodbye, sleepily on Peter’s part, and waved as May was taken back down in the elevator.
“You want some lunch bug?” Tony asked Peter as he walked into the common area, smiling when he saw everything else had arrived.
“Please,” Peter yawned as he rubbed his eyes, making Tony smile and kiss his forehead before he lay Peter on the couch, the teen curling up as Tony went to the kitchen and got started on making them both some Mac and cheese.
Once it was made Tony shared the meal out on plates and made them drinks before putting them on a tray and carrying it to the living room, Peter looking up and smiling from where he was wrapped in a blanket.
“You comfy there kiddo? You look like a blanket burrito,” Tony said in amusement, sitting next to his kid and giving him his plate.
Peter nodded and thanked his Dad for the food before eating. With a smile Tony turned on the Tv and dug into his own food.
After a while the two finished and decided it was time to paint the nursery, so while Tony went to get the paint Peter chose a room. The teen chose the room opposite his and smiled when Tony found him.
“This the one kiddo?” The man asked.
“This is the one Dad,” The teen grinned, his Dad grinning back.
Half hour later found the two of them still in the room with plastic on the floor, a paintbrush each with the room almost done and music playing softly over the speakers. The two males were barefoot with the cuffs of their jeans rolled up.
“So the glow in dark stars are gonna go on the ceiling right?” Tony asked, “any particular way you want them squirt?”
As Tony turned towards his son the man felt something wet hit his t-shirt, making him look down at the blue splatter.
Paint.
The man looked over to Peter who had his paintbrush in hand and a shit eating grin on his face. Tony felt a smirk pull at his lips as he lifted his own brush.
“Run,” he said playfully, flicking some paint at the teen just as he dodged out of the way.
The next few minutes were spent with Tony chasing his teen around the room, both flicking paint at one another and laughing.
“Gotcha,” Tony laughed as he grabbed Peter around the waist and tickled him.
“No!” Peter squealed, dissolving into laughs as he tried to squirm away from the man. Tony laughed along with his kid and blew a raspberry on his neck before stopping his assault and letting the teen catch his breath, stray giggles escaping.
“C’mon bug let’s get this room finished then we can shower and snuggle with a movie,” Tony said with a smile.
“Can we watch the Sonic movie?” Peter asked, puppy eyes in full effect.
“Of course we can kiddo,” the man smiled, kissing the teens cheek before letting him go so they could finish painting.
Once they were finished Tony told Peter to go shower and cleaned everything up before going to his own shower and getting all the paint off of him. Once done Tony put on a hoodie and some joggers and headed to the living room to see Peter already there in one of his old MIT hoodies and joggers, complete with fluffy socks.
With a smile Tony walked over and sat next to him, letting his kid cuddle into his side as he ran his fingers through his curls.
“You excited about your nursery?” Tony asked a few minutes into the film.
“Really excited,” Peter grinned, then remembered Happy, “Dad does Happy have to help us put the furniture together?”
“Not if you don’t want him to kiddo, I can always give him the day off so he can have some time to relax.”
“Can you do that please?” Peter asked as he looked up at his Dad unknowingly giving him puppy eyes, making Tony simultaneously melt and feel all warm and fuzzy.
“Of course I can kiddo,” he smiled, kissing the top of his son’s head.
With a smile the teen snuggled closer and rest his head on his Dad’s chest finding immense comfort in the sound of his heartbeat.
“So what’s gonna happen with the whole adoption thing?”
“Me and May will sort the papers and May can be Pepper’s assistant if she wants,” Tony explained, “and she can live on the floor below if she wants to as well, that way it’ll be much easier.”
“I like that idea,” Peter smiled, somehow curling up even closer, “what about school?”
“Whaddya mean bug?” Tony asked, rubbing his kids back. He was wandering when this question would come up.
“What if – what if I feel myself wanting to go into little space, or I get really overwhelmed and fall into it,” the teen asked, sitting up to face his Dad, Tony felt his heart squeeze at the fear he saw in his kids eyes.
“Hey, hey, hey,” the man cooed softly, cupping his kids cheeks to make their eyes lock, “it’s okay bubba. We can set up something with the school so you can leave class to call me or May and we can help you, heck if you want you can finish this year online and go back next year. We’ll talk about more when it comes to it okay?”
“Really?” Peter asked, eyes slightly glassy with tears.
“Really baby,” Tony promised, “but you think about it okay?”
Peter nodded and sniffed nuzzling into his Dad’s chest when the man pulled him back into a warm hug.
“I love you Dad,” the teen whispered, smiling at the soft kiss pressed to his forehead.
“I love you too bubba,” the man replied as he gently ran his fingers through Peter’s hair once more, smiling widely when his kid purred softly.
The movie hadn’t long finished when May and Pepper walked out of the elevator laughing about something, making the man smile.
“Hey Peter, time to wake up kiddo,” the man cooed to the lightly dozing teen.
Peter opened his eyes with a yawn and smiled sleepily at the women who walked over.
“Hey sweetie,” May greeted, pressed a soft kiss to the teens forehead as he sat up.
“Hey Mom,” Peter smiled, “Hey Pepper.”
“Hey bug,” Pepper greeted with a smile, running her fingers through his hair, and pressing a soft kiss to Tony’s lips, “we ordered takeaway and Peter gets to pick the movie.”
“Fine with me,” Tony smiled, giving his wife another soft kiss before she went to change into comfier clothes.
“How have you been today baby?” May asked Peter, the teen cuddling into her side.
“I’ve been good, we painted the nursery,” Peter smiled.
“Oh baby that’s great,” May smiled, giving him a little squeeze, “you excited?”
Peter nodded with a wide grin, May smiled back, and hugged him closer.
She and Tony shared a smile over Peter’s head when the teen started purring.
“Boss food is here,” Friday spoke up.
“Thanks Fri, be right there,” Tony smiled, Pepper walking in just as he stood up.
Tony felt himself fall in love with her all over again. She was dressed in her soft lounge around jeans, one of her husband’s t-shirts, fluffy socks, her hair was up in a messy bun and she had no makeup on.
She looked beautiful.
“Where you off too?” She asked.
“Food is here,” he smiled, kissing her cheek, “I’ll be right back.”
With that Tony headed down to grab the food.
The man came back a few minutes later to find the two loves of his life in the kitchen getting plates and drinks while chatting.
“Hey, you two,” he smiled, “where’s May?”
“Bathroom,” Peter answered, cuddling into his Dad’s side.
“Ah,” the man smiled, wrapping as arm around his kid and kissing the top of his head, “so what movie we watching?”
“How to train your Dragon,” Peter told him as he started loading up his plate.
“Ooh I like that movie,” May said as she walked in and started loading her own plate.
“Me too,” Pepper smiled as she followed suit.
Tony smiled as his heart filled with warmth and got his own plate and a drink before they all headed to the living room and settled in for the movie.
Halfway through the movie Tony noticed Peter fidgeting and knew he was close to dropping.
“Baby, you should let yourself drop if you need to,” he whispered to the teen.
“But I don’t want to,” Peter whispered back.
“Why not?”
“Pepper.”
“Baby I swear Pepper won’t mind,” the man promised.
“But-”
“Hey, it’ll be okay I promise, she’s caught me in worse situations,” Tony told him with a playful wink.
“I didn’t need to know that,” Peter said with a soft giggle before excusing himself.
“He okay?” Pepper asked.
“Yeah he just needed a little time,” Tony said catching May’s eyes, the woman giving a single nod to show she understood what he meant.
In his room Peter felt his anxiety start to rise as he changed into a diaper and his Hawkeye Pj’s, grabbing his Captain America pacifier and blue dog. Grabbing the door handle he paused and bit his lip.
“Peter?” Friday’s soft voice asked, “your heart rate had elevated, would you like me to alert Mr. Stark?”
“No thanks Fri, I – I can do this,” Peter replied, taking a couple of deep breaths before he opened his door and walked back to the living room, hoping his Dad was right and that Pepper really would be okay with it.
“Hey baby,” May greeted upon seeing the teen, making him smile before he looked nervously over at Pepper.
All he saw on her face was a soft smile, her eyes warm and comforting. The teen felt himself relax and a full smile grow on his face.
“There’s my baby,” Tony said happily, scooping the teen up as he re-entered the room, making the teen yelp and giggle when he blew a raspberry on his neck, “you feeling better now kiddo?”
“Yeah,” Peter giggled with a nod, Tony kissing his cheek before setting him on the couch.
“Peter you wanna pick another movie?” Pepper asked softly.
“Can we watch Detective Pikachu please?”
“You heard him Fri,” Pepper said with a smile, Peter smiling back before he cuddled up between Tony and May.
Halfway through the movie Peter drifted off to sleep with his head in Tony’s lap, pacifier in his mouth and plushie hugged to his chest. May smiled and tucked his fleece blanket around him before anyone spoke.
“So Pepper,” Tony began, “where do I start?
“First of all, how old is Peter in little space?”
“One and a half and how-?”
“I had an old friend in college who experimented with being a little, not as young as Peter though.”
“So you’re okay with it?” May asked.
“Of course,” Pepper smiled, “I want Peter to feel comfortable and safe and if it’s being a little, them who am I to stop him?”
“You’re amazing you know that?” Tony smiled at her.
Pepper blushed and smiled when Tony pressed a kiss to her cheek.
“So what’s this I hear about Peter getting adopted?” She asked.
For the next half an hour the adults discussed the adoption and Pepper agreed to take May on as her assistant, saying she’d sort it out with her work in the morning and that it would be nice to have both Parker’s around more. After they were all sorted the three of them decided to watch another movie, Tony taking Peter to bed first.
Tony gently lay Peter down and plugged in his night light before tucking the kid in and gently brushing some loose curls from his forehead.
“Night, night Roo,” the man whispered, pressing a soft kiss to the teens forehead, and smiling before quietly leaving.
He joined May and Pepper for the movie only to fall asleep ten minutes later.

Chapter Text
Tony woke up the next morning and groaned at the pain in his back.
That’s what he got for sleeping on the couch.
With a sigh the man slowly pulled himself into a sitting position before standing, stretching, and sighing happily when his back popped.
“Sir Peter is asking for you,” Friday announced softly.
“Tell him I’ll be right there Fri,” the man said as he headed to the bathroom.
“I recommend you hurry Sir; Peter appears to be in little space.”
“You got it,” Tony replied.
After using the bathroom and washing his hands the man headed to his kids room, knocking gently before opening the door.
“Daddy,” Peter smiled upon seeing the man, making grabby hands towards him.
“Hey bambino,” Tony cooed with a smile, lifting his little one into his arms and kissing the side of his head, “how’s my little man huh?”
Peter simply giggled in response before shifting with a whine.
“You need changing?” He asked receiving a nod, “okay let’s change you quick and get some breakfast with Mama and Pep.”
With that Tony made quick work of changing Peter, putting him in a fresh pullup, soft jeans, socks, and an IronMan t-shirt.
“There you go cutie,” the man cooed, throwing away the soiled diaper and washing his hands before lifting Peter onto his hip and carrying him to the kitchen.
“Morning all,” the man greeted as he walked in, May putting some ready made bottles in the fridge while Pepper cooked breakfast.
“Good morning,” May greeted with a smile.
“Morning,” Pepper smiled as she put the food on plates, “there’s coffee waiting for you.”
“Pep you’re a star,” Tony smiled, kissing her softly and making Peter giggle.
“Hey cutie,” she cooed at Peter making him giggle again and hide his face in Tony’s shoulder.
“Hey Pete, wanna go to Mama while Daddy gets you breakfast?” Tony asked, gently handing the boy over to May when he nodded.
“Hey sweetie,” May cooed, kissing her little one’s forehead, “what’s your plan for the day Tony?”
“Well the men are gonna come and fit the carpet today,” Tony started, sipping his coffee as Peter’s bottle warmed up, “so I was gonna build all the stuff, with Peter’s help if he’s in big space, and then we can just move it all in there and have it ready sooner.”
“Sounds like a plan,” May smiled, taking her plate from Pepper with a small thank you and placing it in front of her.
The microwave pinging made Peter whine and reach for his Dad, the man pulling him into his arms and rubbing his back.
“Hey Fri, remind me to modify the microwave so it’s not as loud,” Tony told his AI, testing the temperature of the milk on his wrist.
“You got it boss,” Friday replied, making Peter look up to try and find the voice.
With a smile Tony sat with the other two as they ate, situating Peter in his arms to give him the bottle.
“What’s the plan for you two then?”
“Me and May are gonna go to her work to sort out her leaving and coming to work here, and I’m going to try and finalise the adoption papers today,” Pepper replied with a smile.
“Sounds like a plan,” Tony nodded.
“You gonna be okay with him?” May asked, nodding towards Peter, “it doesn’t look like he’s coming out of little space anytime soon.”
“We’ll be fine, right bubba?” Tony asked as he gently sat Peter up, the little one not seeming to be very hungry, getting a burp and giggle in response before looking back at the two, “see?”
“You call if you need us,” May smiled as she stood, walking over, and dropping a soft kiss on both their foreheads.
“We’ll be back later,” Pepper said as she put the plates in the sink before pressing a soft kiss to Tony’s lips and one to Peter’s cheek.
“Have fun ladies,” the man smiled, watching them go as Peter leant against his chest, “you okay there kiddo?”
“Tired,” the little one whined.
With a smile the man lifted the little one into his arms and carried him to his bedroom.
“Boss Peter has woken up and is asking for you,” Friday piped up an hour later.
“Be right there Fri,” the man smiled as he stood and stretched before making his way to Peter’s room.
He was getting tired of reading and answering emails anyway.
He knocked on the door before going inside, his heart melting at the sight.
Peter was sat up in bed still blinking sleepily, his hair was a mess and his clothes were a little rumpled. He looked adorable and Tony couldn’t help snapping a picture before walking over to his little one.
“Hey baby,” he cooed.
“Daddy,” Peter smiled making grabby hands, Tony grinning as he lifted him into his arms.
“Aw hey sweetheart,” Tony cooed as his little one instantly cuddled him, “you need to be changed?”
Peter yawned and shook his head before resting it on Tony’s shoulder, the man kissing his head with a smile before heading to the kitchen. Humming softly Tony opened the cupboard and gave his little one a rusk before Friday spoke up.
“Boss the carpet men are here.”
“Send them up Fri,” the man said before turning his attention to Peter, “Okay Petey, the men are here to put your nursery carpet in okay? You wanna chill on the couch while Daddy shows them the room?”
“Daddy,” Peter said, gripping the mans shirt in one hand as an answer.
Well that answers that, Tony thought as he walked over to the elevator just as it pinged.
Tony walked over and smiled as three men walked out, two carrying the rolled up carpet between them.
“Hey Mr, Stark,” the third man greeted, “where would you like this?”
“Hey,” Tony greeted, gently rocking Peter, “down the hall, second door on your right.”
“You got it, okay this way guys.”
Tony watched as they went to the right room before taking Peter over to the large windows and letting the sun warm them.
“When the men are done we can move everything into your nursery and then we can have some lunch, sound good?” Tony asked Peter who nodded, the little one smiling around his pacifier, “then we can chill out in the nursery if you want.”
“Pwease,” Peter lisped around the object still in his mouth, Tony smiling and melting at the sheer adorableness of his kid.
He pressed a kiss to the little one’s forehead and rocked him gently as they watched the clouds.
“It done yet?” Peter mumbled a few moments later.
“Hey kiddo,” Tony greeted, “you in big space right now?”
Peter nodded and purred slightly when Tony ran his fingers through the teens hair.
“It’s not ready yet bambino, but you think you can stay in big space for a while to help me move the furniture in there?”
“I can do that,” the teen smiled, “can we put the stars up too?”
“Of course we can kiddo,” Tony smiled, kissing his cheek, “you wanna go change?”
Peter nodded and smiled as Tony gently put him on his feet and went to his room to change.
Peter walked back into the living room, dressed in his comfy jeans and a hoodie, and tucked himself into his Dad’s side on the couch.
“Hey kiddo,” the man smiled, holding the teen close, “you okay?”
“I just want the room to be ready,” Peter told him with a slight whine.
“I know bubba,” Tony cooed, kissing the top of his kids head, “it will be soon I promise.”
The teen sighed dramatically and let his head fall on his Dad’s chest only to giggle and squirm when the man tickled his side. Peter moved so he was laying his head on his Dad’s lap, looking up at him with a smile.
Tony smiled back and could see the urge to regress in his kids eyes. He really hoped the men would be done soon so he and Peter could hang out in the room.
“Dad,” Peter said, gaining the man’s attention, “can we have some lunch please, before we move the furniture?”
“Course we can kiddo,” The man smiled, Peter sitting up to let the man stand.
With a smile Tony scooped Peter up into his arms and carried him to the kitchen.
After making some sandwiches the two of them ate happily while the men finished in the room, once they were done Tony thanked them and showed them out. He and Peter then moved all the furniture inside, making sure it was to Peter’s liking, before setting up the blanket and pillow nest in the middle of the room.
“You ready to put these up?” Tony asked, handing his kid the stars.
“Yep,” Peter smiled, yelping slightly when Tony lifted him onto his shoulders.
Peter then stuck the stars up to match his favourite constellations, Tony helping him back to his feet.
Peter turned in a slow circle and felt tears well in his eyes. The room was perfect and the carpet was soft and fluffy beneath his feet making him feel safe and protected. He looked at his Dad with a wide smile before jumping into his arms.
“Thank you,” he said, voice slightly muffled by the man’s shirt, “I love it.”
“Aw buckaroo,” Tony cooed, holding him close, “you don’t need to thank me baby, I’m glad you love it though.”
“Can I go back into little space now?” Peter asked, his voice almost a whine.
“Of course you can sweetheart,” Tony said as he set the teen on his feet, “you need help?”
“I got it.”
With that Peter headed to his room.
After using the bathroom and changing into a pullup and his Hawkeye footsie Pyjama’s with the matching pacifier clipped to it. Peter then headed back to the nursery where his Dad still was.
“There he is,” the man smiled, lifting the teen into his arms, “you like your Hawkeye paci huh?”
Peter nodded as Tony gently placed it in his mouth before laying them on the nest of pillows and blankets. Tony noted it was like lying on a cloud.
“I can’t wait to see these glow later,” Tony smiled as he looked up at the stars.
Peter nodded before yawning and turning to cuddle into his Dad’s side, Tony wrapping his arm around the little one as his fingers ran through his curls.
The teen purred at the action as he snuggled even closer.
“Did I ever tell you about the time me and Rhodey tried to make a rocket?” Tony asked after a few moments of silence.
Peter shook his head which had Tony launching into story after story making the little one giggle, Tony’s heart melting at the sheer adorableness and innocence of the sound.
It didn’t take long for Peter to drift off to the sound of his Dad’s voice and soft rumble of his chest. The man smiled and kissed his kids forehead before drifting off himself.
Tony woke up an hour later and smiled as he looked down at the weight on his chest. Peter was curled up with his pacifier firmly in his mouth, one hand loosely gripping his Dad’s shirt and his hair sticking up at all angles. The man chuckled softly before gently running his fingers through his kids chocolate locks, brushing some loose ones from his forehead.
After a few minutes Peter started to stir before his eyes fluttered open and he looked up at his Dad.
“Hey baby,” the man cooed, “you enjoy your nap?”
Peter giggled and nodded as he rubbed his eyes before snuggling closer to listen to his Dad’s heartbeat, the man smiling as he continued running his fingers through his little one’s hair. The two lay there as they woke properly, Peter moving to tuck his head under his Dad’s chin.
“Hey to you too kiddo,” Tony chuckled, cuddling his little one even closer.
“Here you two are,” a voice said making them both look over to the door.
Leant against the frame with a soft smile on her face was Pepper, dressed in a hoodie and pair of Tony’s joggers.
“Hey Pep,” Tony greeted with a smile, Peter giving a smile and a wave.
“Hey,” she chuckled, “I made some fruit snacks if you two are hungry.”
“I could eat,” the man smiled, looking down at his kid, “what about you bubba, want some food, you didn’t eat many breakfast?”
Peter nodded and sat up, reaching his arms up to Tony as soon as the man was on his feet, making him chuckle as he rest the boy on his hip before following Pepper to the kitchen.
Upon entering the man saw plates of fruit laid out on the kitchen island, Peter’s eyes lit up at the sight of all the colours.
“Looks great Pep,” Tony smiled, kissing her cheek before turning his attention to Peter who was pointing at some banana slices, “you want one?”
At Peter’s nod Tony reached over and passed a slice to his little one, Peter happily munching on it once Tony took his pacifier out.
“Want me to warm a bottle up for you sweetie?” Pepper cooed, smiling when Peter nodded.
With that Pepper grabbed a bottle and put it in the microwave, asking Friday to stop it just before the beep.
“So me and May sorted out the whole thing with her job,” Pepper started, “and we went to the landlord to discuss them moving out of the apartment, Happy is just helping her get some clothes now. Tomorrow we can go and help move everything else if Peter’s in big space.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Tony smiled.
“Boss Peter’s bottle is ready,” Friday announced as she stopped the microwave from beeping.
“Thanks Fri,” Tony smiled, “you wanna feed him Pep?”
“I mean if Peter’s okay with it I’d love too,” she smiled, Peter nodding and making grabby hands at her.
With a soft laugh Pepper sat at the island before Tony placed the little one in her lap, giving her the bottle and smiling as Peter started drinking.
“How’d it go with the adoption papers?” Tony asked as he sat beside her, picking at the fruit.
“Just going through the final stages,” Pepper told him, “I’m trying to get them processed as quick as possible. I know how impatient you can get.”
“That’s true,” Tony chuckled, melting when Peter curled against Pepper.
Pepper smiled and gave Peter a little squeeze, rocking him gently as she and Tony talked softly.
Half an hour later May walked in with a smile, Peter sitting up and making grabby hands for the umpteenth time. Something Tony found adorable each time the little did it.
“Mama,” the little one grinned.
“Hey baby,” she grinned, gently taking him from Pepper and hugging him tightly.
“Hey May,” Tony smiled at the interaction.
“Hey,” she finally greeted the adults, “sorry that took so long, I decided to sort my clothes while packing them. I left Peter’s for tomorrow though.”
“We’ll be happy to help you,” Tony said, “oh by the way we finished the nursery, would you ladies like to see?”
The two women nodded and with a grin Tony took them to the room, sweeping his arms out in a ta-da gesture.
“Oh Tony,” Pepper breathed as she turned in a slow circle.
“It’s beautiful,” May smiled, looking around in awe.
“Look up,” Tony said softly, making the two of them look up and smile.
“Oh Tony it’s wonderful,” May smiled, looking at the man.
Tony flushed and rubbed the back of his neck.”
“It was mostly Peter, not me.”
“Oh stop, it was both of you,” Pepper smiled, kissing his cheek, and causing his blush to darken, “c’mon how about a film night?”
“Sounds good,” May smiled, Peter’s whine drawing all their attention, “what’s wrong baby?”
Peter wiggled in her hold and looked uncomfortable and that’s when it dawned on them all.
He was wet.
“Here, why don’t I give him a bath and change him,” Tony said as he walked over, “while you two get the food and movie ready.”
“Sounds like a plan,” May smiled, kissing Peter’s cheek before handing him over to Tony.
With that her and Pepper headed to the living room while Tony grabbed Peter’s Scooby-Doo pyjamas, fluffy socks, a diaper, and set them on the changing matt. He then grabbed the fluffiest towel they had before carrying Peter to the bathroom.
A warm bath with bubbles was already waiting for them when they entered.
“Thanks Fri,” Tony smiled, placing the towel on the closed toilet lid before he looked at Peter, “you ready for a bath?”
At Peter’s nod, Tony helped the kid undress before lowering him into the tub. He threw away the pull up and put his other clothes in the hamper before going back over to his little one.
“The water warm enough?” He asked grinning when Peter nodded, gasping as the little one splashed him, “Hey.”
Peter laughed and it was most adorable and infectious thing Tony had ever heard and he couldn’t help but laugh along.
“Okay bubba let’s get you bathed so we can watch a movie,” Tony cooed as he grabbed the small jug on the side of the bath, covered Peter’s eyes and wet his hair, “okay apples or strawberries?”
The man held up two bottle of two in one shampoo and conditioner, Peter giggling as he chose the green before going back to playing with the bubbles.
With a smile Tony poured some into his hand before rubbing it into his little one’s hair and making sure to scratch Peter’s scalp to calm him. The man chuckled before telling Peter to keep his eyes closed as he washed the shampoo from his hair, wiping his eyes with the dry face cloth.
“Boo,” Tony said, making Peter laugh and splash him again, “hey careful.”
The man then used some marshmallow smelling body wash on the facecloth before using it to wash the boys upper body and legs.
He paused after that.
Tony really didn’t want to do anything around his kids private area but knew he’d have to do something. So he took a breath and gently lifted the kid with one arm, quickly yet efficiently washing his kid down there. Once that was done Tony got Peter out and wrapped him up in the towel, making sure he gave him a little hood.
“There’s my little cutie,” he cooed, making his little smile and hide his face in his neck.
With a soft chuckle Tony carried Peter back to his nursery.
The man lay his little one on the changing matt and changed his own shirt before he started to dry Peter, blowing a raspberry on his stomach, and tickling his sides.
Peter squealed with laughter and squirmed.
“No Daddy, no,” he laughed as he tired and failed to push the mans hands away.
“But you’re so cute when you laugh kiddo,” Tony cooed blowing a raspberry on his neck, laughing as his little one squealed with laughter once again.
The man then stopped his assault and began dressing his kid, melting at the way Peter yawned and sleepily rubbed his eyes.
Once he was dressed the man gave Peter his arc reactor pacifier before wrapping him in his fleece blanket, giving him his dog plushie which Peter cuddled close as they went to the living room.
May and Pepper both looked up with smiles which Tony returned as he sat between them. Peter crawled over and curled up in his mama’s lap as Pepper cuddled into Tony’s side, the man kissing her on the head before tugging May and his baby a little closer.
“Play the movie Fri,” Tony said as he leant forward to grab a handful of popcorn from the coffee table.
Halfway through the movie Peter’s eyes started fluttering, making the three adults melt and smile. After May gently kissed the little one’s head Tony gently lifted him and carried him to his room, changed his diaper and rocked the little one until he fell asleep on his shoulder.
Friday dimmed the lights and closed the blinds.
With a soft smile the man gently lay Peter in his crib, turned on the nightlight and leant over to press a soft kid to the boys forehead.
“Night, night bambino, sweet dreams,” he whispered as he gently stroked the little ones cheek.
He watched Peter’s chest rise and fall for a few moments before looking up to see the stars glowing softly. Feeling happy the man looked at his kid one last time before heading back to the living room.
“He okay?” May asked, as he sat back down.
“He’s fine,” the man smiled, “fast asleep.”
This made the two woman smile before they finished the movie.
Once it was over the three bid one another goodnight before heading to their rooms.
It was three in the morning when Tony was woken up by a scream.

Chapter Text
Peter cursed silently as he almost ran to the library, already late for Decathlon practice.
“Sorry I’m late guys, Dad called and,” Peter trailed off as he walked over to the group, “why are you all staring at me like that?”
“We know what you are,” Ned said.
“What are you talking about?” Peter asked, a look of confusion on his face.
Wordlessly Mj pulled out something in a small case and slid it down the table to him. It came to a stop in front of Peter and the teens face fell.
It was one of his pacifiers in one of the cases Tony brought so they could take them on their travels.
“Wh – where, how?” Peter asked, looking up at them.
“Are you a little Peter?” Mr Harrington asked, “because you know we can’t have a - someone like that on the team.”
“What why?” Peter asked.
“It makes us and the school look bad loser,” Mj said in a harsh tone, lacking the usual playfulness behind the last word.
“But – but,” Peter stuttered, eyes beginning to burn with tears.
“Peter you’re off the team,” Mr. Harrington told him firmly, “we can’t have you turning into a child.”
“But sir I –“
“No Peter,” the man cut him off.
Peter felt his breath start to come in short as tears welled in his eyes. The teen looked to Ned who promptly looked away from him, the others doing the same when Peter tried to catch someone’s eye.
“Ned,” the teen whimpered, the ground falling from underneath him.
Peter screamed as he fell.
~~
Tony shot up in bed and was running to the nursery before his brain could catch up. The man burst into the room and instantly lifted a screaming Peter into his arms.
“Shh, shh, shh, it’s okay baby Daddy’s got you,” Tony soothed as he held the little one close and rocked him, gently rubbing, and patting his back to calm him, “shh, you’re okay baby you’re okay.”
Peter simply clung to him and cried into his shoulder, Tony continuing to coo and soothe him as the remnants of Peter’s nightmare faded away.
It took longer than Tony would’ve liked but Peter’s cries soon died down to sniffles and the occasional hiccup, the teen whining at the feeling of a wet diaper.
With a kiss to the teens forehead Tony carried him to the bathroom.
Friday already had the bath running and Tony internally thanked her, sitting Peter on the counter by the sink and hugging him.
“M’sorry,” Peter mumbled into his Dad’s shoulder.
“You have nothing to be sorry for bambino,” Tony soothed, gently running his fingers through his kids hair.
After a few more minutes the bath was filled and Tony got to work helping his kid out of his pyjamas, he then let Peter get into the bath while he threw away the diaper and put the pyjamas in the hamper. With a soft sigh Tony grabbed a fluffy towel before going back to the bathroom.
Peter was in the bath with his knees pulled up to his chest and arms wrapped around them. The sight broke Tony’s heart as he walked over and knelt beside the tub.
“Hey bambino,” he greeted softly with a small smile, running his hand through his kids hair.
“Hey Dad,” Peter whispered back, giving his own small smile in return.
“You wanna talk about it?” Tony asked softly, Peter shaking his head quickly, “okay, we don’t have to talk about it yet.”
With that the man poured some soap on facecloth and gently helped his kid wash while telling him stories of his youth to make the teen laugh.
After being washed and gently washing his face Peter let Tony wrap him in a towel before he went to his room to change.
The teen pulled on a fresh pair of boxers, joggers, and a t-shirt he was sure was either Harry’s or Ned’s.
“You okay kiddo?” Tony asked, lightly knocking in his door.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” Peter called back as he opened the door, his Dad wasting no time in scooping him up into his arms.
Peter simply cuddled into the warmth.
Tony carried Peter to the kitchen and pulled out a juice box before sitting the teen on the counter.
“Here you go bubba,” the man said softly, automatically putting the straw in.
“Thanks Dad,” Peter said, smiling slightly at the action.
He put it down to the fact that he’d been a little for most of the day yesterday. Now that he thought about though the teen had really enjoyed yesterday, being little and taken care of without having to worry about anything?
The teen had never felt so at ease before.
Now though the stress of the nightmare was sitting heavy in his mind.
Peter just hoped it wouldn’t drop while at school.
“Shh, you’re thinking too hard kiddo,” Tony soothed, gently stroking Peter’s cheeks and bringing him back to reality.
Peter smiled sheepishly and closed his eyes in comfort at the soft kiss pressed to his forehead. The teen put his juice box aside and nuzzled into his Dad’s chest, the man’s arms wrapping around him instinctively.
“You wanna talk about it?” The man mumbled into his teens hair.
“No,” Peter’s voice was muffled by the fabric of his Dad’s shirt.
“You sure? I don’t want you up the rest of the night worrying,” Tony said, feeling his son sigh in defeat.
“My – my decathlon team,” Peter began, taking a shaky breath.
Tony said nothing as he simply held his kid and let him find the right words.
“Somehow they found one of my pacifiers and told me they didn’t,” the teen took another shaky breath as tears welled in his eyes, “didn’t want someone like that on the team.”
“Oh bambino,” Tony said, heart breaking for his kid.
“They didn’t even look at me afterwards,” Peter voice cracked on the last word as a sob bubbled up and out.
Tony held him a little tighter while rubbing his back and whispering reassurances in his ear.
After a few minutes Peter’s tears died down and Tony gently pulled back to dry his kids cheeks.
“You feeling a little better now?” He asked, Peter shrugging miserably, “Tell you what, how about we accept that it was a bad dream that is never gonna happen and go to bed? If you want we can talk about it more in the morning, but right now a certain Spider-babe needs some sleep. Sound good?”
“Yeah,” Peter nodded, “can I sleep in your bed though?”
“Of course you can bambino,” Tony said with a soft smile, lifting the sleepy teen into his arms.
He put the empty juice box in the bin, smiling as Peter became a sleeping dead weight on his shoulder before they even reached the bedroom.
Tony was jolted awake the next morning to a kick in backside, followed by Peter mumbling incoherently. The man smiled and fondly rolled his eyes before sitting up and stretching. He looked over at Peter and smiled at the fact that all his could see was his kids messy hair sticking out from beneath the blanket. Leaning over he pressed a soft kiss to his head before climbing out of bed. The man grabbed a pair of fresh jeans and a t-shirt, taking a quick shower before changing and heading to the kitchen.
With a yawn Tony poured himself a mug of coffee and sat at the kitchen island smiling at May when she walked in.
“Morning,” he greeted.
“Morning sunshine,” she smiled, pouring herself a bowl of cereal, “did you sleep okay?”
“Not really,” he answered truthfully.
“What happened?” May asked as she sat opposite him.
“Peter woke up from a nightmare,” Tony said, “it’s not my place to tell the details, but we woke up at three and didn’t go back to the bed until at least four.”
“Oh Tony,” May cooed as she stood, walking around the table, and hugging him and rubbing his back.
“Everything okay?” Pepper asked softly upon entering.
“Peter had a nightmare,” May answered.
Pepper nodded wordlessly and walked over to hug her husband. He’d had his fair share of nightmares and sleepless nights through the year, heck he’d stayed up with her during her own anxiety ridden sleeplessness. She’d just hoped Peter would be spared the nightmares and sleepless nights.
The three adults were still in there little group hug when Peter shuffled in, slightly bleary eyed and sporting an amazing bed-head. Without a word the teen made his way over and wriggled into the middle of the group hug to sit on his Dad’s lap.
“Hey Bambino,” Tony chuckled as he hugged the teen close.
After a few more blissful moments May and Pepper pulled away, May kissing her kid on the cheek, saying they needed to get to work.
“What are you two gonna do today?” Pepper asked.
“I was thinking me and Peter would go somewhere,” Tony replied, rocking his teen subconsciously.
“Do we have too?” Peter asked softly with a small whine, making the women smile.
“I thought it’d be nice to go to the museum,” Tony said, kissing his kids head, “if you want too.”
“Can I get a shirt from the gift shop?” The teen asked, looking up at his Dad with his puppy eyes.
“You can get whatever you want from the gift shop baby,” Tony smiled, giving his kid a squeeze at his small cheer.
“You two have fun,” May said walking over and kissing them both on the forehead, Pepper doing the same before the two headed off to work.
“You wanna have breakfast now, or get a maccies one on the way?” Tony asked after the elevator doors closed.
“Can we get one on the way please?” Peter asked, puppy eyes shining as he looked up at Tony.
“Of course buckaroo,” his Dad said kissing his head, “you go get ready and we’ll head out.”
With that Peter slid off his lap and headed to his bedroom.
Half an hour later the two were on their way to the museum, Peter finishing his orange juice from his breakfast.
Tony pulled into a parking space and the exited the car, making sure to grab the ‘diaper bag’ from the trunk.
“Really Dad?” Peter asked, face scrunching up a little.
“Better safe than sorry kiddo,” Tony reassured, wrapping an arm around him, “plus no-one is gonna know. As far as they’re concerned all this backpack has in it is snacks.”
“You have snacks in there?” Peter asked, eyes bright.
With a chuckle Tony took out a small bag of gummy bears and handed them over.
“Thank you,” the teen grinned, popping one in his mouth.
“Anytime bug,” the man grinned as they walked up to the entrance.
After paying and using the bathroom, Tony let Peter lead the way.
He couldn’t help but smile at the way his sons eyes lit up and the way he babbled a mile a minute in excitement. Tony couldn’t keep up even if he tried.
“Remember to breathe kiddo,” the man reminded gently with a smile.
“Sorry,” the teen flushed.
“It’s okay kiddo,” Tony said, hugging his teen into his side and kissing his head.
It was when they we halfway through when Peter paused.
He felt himself wanting to drop. While it was normal the past few days this wanting felt stronger than before. It was almost like the teen didn’t have a choice but to give in to his urges.
“Hey,” Tony’s soft voice said, making him jump “you okay?”
Peter opened his mouth but quickly closed it again to swallow down the whine that threatened to escape.
“Bambino?” Tony asked as he dropped his voice to a whisper, “are you dropping?”
Peter nodded as tears welled in his eyes.
The one place Peter never wanted to drop was in public and here he was trying to resist the strongest urge he’d ever had.
“C’mon this way,” Tony whispered, hand on his kids back as he led him to the bathrooms.
Tony checked they were alone before taking out the pullup and letting Peter change in the stall, putting the teen boxers on the bag before sitting his kid on the counter by the sinks.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Tony soothed, gently wiping away the tears that escaped Peter’s eyes.
“But we’re in public,” the teen whined.
“I know baby,” his Dad reassured, “but I promise it’s gonna be okay.”
With that the man pulled his teen into a hug, Peter finally relaxing and deciding to let himself drop halfway.
The teen didn’t want to totally drop but realised he didn’t want to totally be in big space either.
“You feeling okay now?” Tony asked softly, feeling his kid relax and breath easier.
“Yeah,” Peter replied in a childlike voice before they pulled away to smile at one another.
“How old are you right now?” Tony asked, Peter giggling and holding up a hand to show he was five.
“Awesome,” Tony smiled, “okay my little one, if you don’t need the toilet let’s go look at the rest of the cool things.”
“Yay,” Peter cheered, making his Dad laugh as he set him back on his feet.
As they walked around Peter held his Dad’s hand and walked a little closer to him, the little one’s eyes lighting up impossibly brighter.
The little one’s excitement was infectious and Tony found himself chuckling along with his son’s giggles.
The two soon stopped for lunch when Peter’s stomach rumbled.
Tony took a picture of Peter smiling while he drank from the juice box that had been bought for him.
“Daddy?” Peter asked after they’d used the bathroom and started walking around again.
“Yeah baby?” The man asked.
“Where Mama and Pep?”
“They’re at work right now,” Tony replied with a smile, “but we’ll see them when we get home okay?”
“Okay,” the teen grinned widely.
It was another half an hour before Peter started to get sleepy, rubbing at his eyes and whining a little.
“You ready to go home?” Tony asked, getting a nod in response.
“Wanna go to the giftshop first?” He asked, “get some t-shirts or something?”
“Yes pwease,” Peter answered, starting to slip further into little space.
Tony kissed his forehead and wrapped his arm around his kids shoulders as he led him to the shop, Peter choosing two t-shirts and a crystal growing kit.
After one last trip to the bathroom the two of them started to head back to the car, Tony carrying a tired Peter on his hip when the little one started whining halfway.
The teen was asleep before they even got to the car.
Once they got back Tony lifted Peter into his arms, gently shushing him when he whined. The man took the little one to his nursery and changed his jeans to pyjama bottoms before putting him down for a nap.
“Sleep tight baby,” he whispered, stroking his little one’s cheek before heading to his own room and changing into a fresh t-shirt and some joggers.
Tony then headed to the kitchen to make a start on dinner.
Ten minutes into making the food May and Pepper walked in.
“Hey,” Tony greeted them with a smile.
“Hey,” the women greeted back, Pepper kissing his cheek.
“Where’s Peter?” May asked.
“He’s just taking a nap,” the man smiled, “he dropped halfway through the day to five, then fully dropped on the way home.”
May and Pepper cooed at that and Tony felt his cheeks flush on Peter’s behalf.
“So what’s for dinner?” Pepper asked as she started to set the table and May got everyone drinks.
“Spaghetti and meatballs,” Tony answered as he stirred them in the pan, “hey Fri how’s Peter doing?”
“Peter is showing signs of waking up boss,” The AI replied.
“Thanks Fri.”
“Here, I’ll finish this you go get Peter,” May said as she walked over to the stove.
“You sure May?” Tony asked.
“Of course,” she smiled, gently shooing him, “now go get your son.”
With a smile and kiss pressed to her cheek Tony headed towards the nursery.
Tony walked and saw Peter was just sitting up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“Hey baby,” Tony greeted softly, the teen smiling and reaching out for him.
With a smile Tony walked over and lifted his little one into his arms and hugged him close, “you ready for some food?”
“Yeah,” Peter mumbled sleepily resting his head on his Dad’s shoulder.
“How’s your pull-up kiddo?” Tony asked with a soft chuckle.
“Dry,” Peter yawned as he snuggled closer.
Tony smiled and kissed the side of his head before carrying his kid to the kitchen.
“One sleepy teen coming through,” the man announced, making Peter smile.
“Hey baby,” May greeted when Tony placed Peter in the chair beside her, the man sitting on the other side of his teens.
“Hey Mama,” the teen greeted, smiling when she kissed his cheek, “hey Pepper.”
“Hey sweetie,” she greeted, kissing his head as she passed to sit on May’s other side.
With that they all started eating, Pepper and May smiling at one another.
“What are you two smiling at?” Tony asked them in amusement.
“We have some good news and some bad news,” May answered.
“Okay, what’s the bad news?” Tony asked.
“The bad news is you’re stuck with Peter,” Pepper explained with a smile.
“Because,” May said with a smile of her own, pausing for effect, “the adoption papers went through.”
Tony’s eyes and mouth opened wider in realisation, Peter’s still sleep addled brain taking a moment to catch up.
“Are you serious?” The man asked, looking at the women as they nodded.
With a laugh the man caught Peter who happily jumped into his arms, hiding his face in his kids shoulder as tears threatened to spill over. Peter’s shoulders shook as he sobbed happily into his Dad’s shoulder.
May and Pepper smiled at one another.
After a few moments Tony and Peter pulled back to look at one another, the man smiling as he gently dried his kids face.
“Hey Dad,” Peter smiled with a watery giggle.
“Hey Bambino,” the man chuckled, hugging his teen close and kissing his head.
“We should celebrate,” May said, mostly to Pepper to give their boys some privacy.
“Sounds like a great idea,” Pepper agreed, “maybe we could finish packing up the apartment while Peter and Tony set up for a movie night?”
With that the two women looked over at the boys.
“Sounds like a plan to me,” Tony said.
“Wait, wait, wait, finish packing up the apartment?” Peter questioned, looking at May.
“That’s right baby,” May grinned, “we’ve officially moved in to the tower.”
Peter’s face split into a wide grin as he all but fell into her arms for a hug.
They’d been trying to move into a bigger place for years, but with May’s hours and the fact she had a teen to look after, it was hard and they never made it. But now here they were. Peter was adopted by Tony, accepted as a little, he and May were moved into the tower to live with them and May had a well paying job as Pepper’s assistant. The thought of it all brought Peter to tears.
“Sweetheart what’s wrong?” May asked, rubbing his back.
“I’m just,” Peter hiccupped, “I’m just really happy.”
That alone brought tears to May’s own eyes as she felt herself melt at her kids words. Pepper and Tony smiled as they stood and hugged their newest family members tightly.
After a few minutes the four broke away and had some ice cream before May and Pepper headed to the apartment, Tony and Peter setting up a nest of blankets on the couch before putting snacks and drinks on the coffee table.
Once they were done Peter yawned and rubbed his eyes.
“You okay kiddo?” Tony asked.
“Wanna drop,” Peter mumbled.
“Want help changing?” Tony asked, Peter nodding and holding his arms up.
With a smile Tony lifted Peter onto his hip and carried him to the nursery.
May and Pepper came back just as Tony walked into the room with Peter on his hip in a fresh diaper, his Wombles footsie pyjamas, Captain America Pacifier in his mouth and dog plushie hugged to his chest. The women couldn’t help but coo over him, making the little one smile and hide his face in Tony’s neck.
The four of them then located to the couch and wrapped themselves in blankets.
Tony wrapped Peter up and sat the little one on his lap before wrapping a blanket around his own shoulders. They settled in and Friday dimmed the lights before playing Who framed Roger Rabbit.
“Daddy?” Peter softly asked ten minutes in.
“Yeah baby?” The man asked.
Peter grinned and curled against his chest.
“I wuv you,” the little one whispered.
“I love you too baby,” Tony whispered as he beamed, kissing the top of his kids head and holding him close.
The two were asleep a few minutes later with smiles on their faces.

Chapter Text
Tony came to consciousness the next morning laying on his back with a warm weight on top of him. Blinking his eyes open Tony looked down and smiled at seeing Peter curled up on top of him, pacifier hanging out his mouth and hair all mussed up.
“Petey baby,” Tony cooed softly, chuckling when the little one whined and scrunched up more, “baby we gotta get up.”
“Noo, warm,” Peter mumbled into his shirt, making Tony chuckle and rub his back.
Tony decided to lay there for a while just basking in the warmth and comfort before deciding it was time to get up.
“C’mon buckaroo, it’s time to get up so you can change and we can decide what to do today.”
“M’kay,” Peter mumbled not moving.
“Okay,” Tony smiled, wrapping his arms around Peter to keep him steady before sitting up.
Peter snuggled closer to the man making him chuckle before he stood and placed the teen on his feet. Peter looked up at his Dad with puppy eyes that made the man melt, the teen purring when his Dad ran his fingers through his hair.
“Go get dressed kiddo,” Tony told him softly, gently pushing him towards his room before going to change himself.
Once Tony was done he headed to the kitchen and started making pancakes for him and Peter, adding some chocolate chips for his teen.
“Morning,” May greeted walking in, dressed and ready for work.
“Morning,” Tony smiled, “pancakes?”
“I’m good thanks,” she smiled.
Just then Peter came in wearing Tony’s softest hoodie, some jeans, and odd socks. His hair was still a little messy but he looked more awake.
“Hey mama,” he greeted May, falling into a hug.
“Hey sweetheart,” May smiled, holding him close and kissing the top of his head.
“Morning all,” Pepper chirped when she walked in, kissing Tony on the cheek.
“Hey Pep,” Tony smiled, putting the pancakes on plates, and giving Peter one.
Then teen smiled in thanks and sat next to May before eating, tuning out the adults as they started talking about something to do with the company.
Since telling them all he was a little Peter had never felt safer and more like himself than he had in a long time, not to mention he was adopted by his father figure.
Now though he felt like he had a problem.
The teen wanted to change his middle and last name to be a true Stark, he was just too scared to ask in fear of hurting Aunt May. They were all each other had left and he didn’t want to take that from her.
“…ter? Earth to Peter Parker,” A voice said.
Peter blinked and locked his with his Dad who was smiling softly.
“You okay there buckaroo? You’ve been awfully quiet.”
“Yeah,” Peter said, clearing his throat and putting on a smile, “yeah I’m fine.”
Tony didn’t believe him for a second and gestured the teen to come over to him. Peter internally sighed before getting up and walking around the table to stand next to his Dad.
“What’s up bambino?” Tony cooed softly as he wrapped his arm around Peter’s waist, the name and gesture making his inner little feel warm and happy, “c’mon, talk to me.”
Peter looked up at them all through his lashes and saw the looks of quiet concern on their faces.
He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and told them.
“I wanna change my name to Peter Anthony Stark.”
The room was silent for a moment and Peter could feel himself shaking slightly.
He’d screwed up.
Of course they didn’t want him as an official Stark, heck they’d not long accepted that he was a little.
The teen wanted to bolt or for the ground to swallow him whole.
“Hey,” Tony’s voice said softly, “hey look at me.”
Peter shook his head and kept his eyes closed as he felt a sob rising in his chest.
“Peter baby, please look at us,” May cooed.
“We just wanna talk,” Pepper soothed.
Suddenly overwhelmed with it all Peter turned into Tony and hid his face in the man’s neck, the man’s arms wrapping around his securely.
“Hey, it’s okay baby,” he cooed as he rubbed the teen’s back, Peter sobbing softly, “it’s alright bubba. It’s okay.”
May stood and came around the table and stroked his back.
“Baby it’s okay,” she soothed gently.
Peter sniffed and peeked up at her.
“Really?” He hiccupped, “cause I don’t wanna hurt you?”
“Of course baby,” May smiled, “ and you won’t be hurting me, I just want you to be happy.”
Peter gave a watery smile before sobbing happily, May hugging both of her boys.
Tony kissed the side of his kids head and told him they’d change his name after they were done with breakfast and he felt calmer. Peter nodded and let his Dad hold him as he started to calm down.
Once they were done, May and Pepper having gone to work, Tony packed Peter up in the car and the two of them headed off to get Peter’s name changed. The teen felt nerves and excitement creep up on him as they got closer and closer.
“You okay there bug?” Tony asked, noticing how quiet his kid was.
“Yeah, just a little nervous but mostly excited,” Peter smiled.
“Don’t worry kiddo, I’ll be there through the whole thing then after we can get some ice-cream to celebrate.”
“Sounds like a plan,” the teen grinned, fiddling with the hem of his hoodie, “can – can I regress for a bit when we get home?”
“Of course you can sweetheart,” Tony promised, smiling softly at him.
He knew it was a lot of stress on the teen, you could see it on his face. Not to mention he was changing his name.
That was a huge thing for a teen to do.
Tony would be lying if he said he wasn’t proud of him though, Peter was embracing his little side more and now here he was on his way to change his name.
Tony couldn’t be prouder if he tried.
“Dad, you okay?” Peter asked, “you got a big smile on your face, and it’s kina scary.”
“Sorry kiddo,” the man said, softening his grin, “I’m just really proud of you.”
Glancing over he saw Peter duck his head and flush with a soft smile of his own.
Tony smiled as he pulled into a parking space.
“You ready?” He asked, looking at his son.
“I’m ready,” Peter smiled.
With that the two exited the car and headed into the building before them.
Half an hour later the two were headed back to the car.
“So,” Tony asked, “how’s it feel to officially be a Stark now?”
“It feels really good,” Peter replied with a smile, tears in his eyes.
“C’mere baby,” Tony said, lifting his teen into his arms and holding him close.
Peter wrapped himself around his Dad and hugged him tightly, feeling his heart about to burst from sheer happiness and excitement.
He was now officially a Stark and it was the most amazing feeling in the world, even better knowing that Aunt May wasn’t hurt with his decision.
“It’s okay buckaroo,” Tony cooed, rubbing his teens back when he felt him shaking, “it’s okay sweetheart.”
Peter nodded and sniffed before pulling his face away to smile at him, Tony gently wiped the tears off his face then pressed a kiss to the teens cheek before opening the car door.
“So wanna go home for ice-cream or maccies ice cream?” The man asked, watching his son’s doe eyes light up.
“Can we get maccies and take it home?” Peter asked, feeling himself teetering on the edge of little space.
“Of course we can baby, you feeling like dropping?”
Peter nodded and Tony nodded back before leaning down and placing Peter in the car and strapping him in before closing the door. Once in the car himself Tony reached into the backpack he kept in the back seat, fishing out a pacifier and fidget cube and giving them both to Peter.
The teen took them gratefully and played with the cube as Tony drove to McDonalds.
After ordering the ice-creams Tony headed back to the tower and noticed Peter slipping the pacifier in his mouth and smiled.
Once back at the tower Tony lifted Peter into his arms and shifted him onto his hip, grabbing the ice-creams with the other hand before getting in the elevator and heading up to their floor. The man placed the ice-creams in the freezer for later before carrying Peter to his nursey, quickly changing the boy into a pullup and Tigger footsie pyjamas.
“There’s my little baby,” Tony smiled, gently tickling Peter and making him giggle.
With that he lifted the little one into his arms and carried him to the living room where he made a nest on the couch. Tony then grabbed the ice-cream and put on a Disney movie, sitting Peter on his lap, and wrapping them in blankets. Using his pinkie he pulled Peter’s pacifier out before feeding his little one his frozen treat.
“That nice?” Tony asked, chuckling when Peter nodded and opened his mouth for more.
Once he was finished Peter curled against his Dad’s chest with his pacifier securely in his mouth. Smiling Tony wrapped him up tighter and rocked him gently, felling his little one slowly become a deadweight against him.
“Boss,” Friday spoke up softly, “Pepper has sent an email that requires urgent attention.”
“Thanks Fri,” the man replied, pressing a soft kiss to Peter’s forehead before carrying him to the nursery.
After tucking the little one in Tony attached the baby monitor to his hip and headed to the kitchen to answer the email.
An hour, his McFlurry and many emails later, Tony was pulled from his zone hearing the voice of Peter whining for him. The man smiled and stretched before heading to the room.
“Hey baby,” he cooed as he entered, a soft chuckle leaving his lips.
Peter was sat up with his footsies rumpled from sleep and eyes still a little bleary. But what made Tony chuckle was the bedhead his son now had.
Upon seeing the man Peter lifted his arms and made grabby hands.
“Up we go,” Tony cooed lifting the little one into his arms, Peter resting his head on his Dad’s shoulder as he woke up more, “how’s his pullup Fri?”
“Mini boss is wet sir,” FRIDAY announced.
With a nod Tony lay Peter on his changing mat and made quick work of changing him before lifting his kid back into his arms, washing his hands and heading to the living room again.
“Hey, check it out baby, it’s raining for a change,” Tony said softly kissing Peter’s head, turning slightly so the little one could see.
Tony walked closer to the widow and rocked ever so gently as the two watched the rain fall down to the streets below. Listening as it tapped out a soft rhythm on the window and Tony took a deep breath, calmness washing over him as his mind stopped and stayed within the moment.
As they stood there Peter felt himself slowly come back into his big headspace, Tony seeing him take his pacifier out from the corner of his eye.
“Hey baby,” Tony greeted softly, “you in big space now?”
“Yeah,” Peter replied just as soft, head never leaving his Dad’s shoulder, “this is nice.”
Tony hummed in agreement and kissed the top of his kids head.
“Hey Dad?” Peter softly asked a few moments later.
“Yeah roo?”
“Can um, can we go to Disney Land? Please?”
“Of course we can sweetheart,” Tony smiled, “wanna go to Avengers campus?”
Peter gasped as his head shot up with his eyes bright.
“Are you serious?”
“Dead serious baby,” Tony smiled, “wanna go tomorrow? We can pack, have food with May and Pepper tonight, then leave first thing in the morning.”
“Yes please,” Peter grinned.
With that Tony set Peter down and watched as he ran to go pack, calling after him to remember to pack some little stuff and change.
Half an hour later, Tony checking there was enough little stuff for ten days and Peter changing into joggers and a hoodie, the two headed to the kitchen just as May and Pepper exited the elevator.
“Hey,” Pepper greeted with a smile, cuddling into Tony’s arms.
“Hey beautiful,” the man smiled, kissing the top of her head, and hugging her close.
“May, guess what, guess what, guess what,” Peter exclaimed in excitement, jumping on the balls of his feet in front of her.
“What, what, what?” She asked with a smile.
“I’m officially a Stark.” The teen grinned.
“Oh baby that’s amazing,” May exclaimed happily, pulling him into a hug.
Peter melted into her with a giggle, Tony and Pepper joining in and gently squishing Peter between the three of them. They all stayed that way for a few moments before Peter started squirming and they all pulled back.
“Hey Peter, didn’t you wanna tell them where we’re going tomorrow?”
“Oh yeah,” Peter said getting excited again, “tomorrow we’re going to Disney Land. Is that okay?”
“Of course it is sweetie,” May smiled kissing his forehead.
“Are you all packed?” Pepper asked, hugging Peter when he nodded.
Tony watched them all with a smile as the woman went into Mom mode with Peter, the teen jumping into his arms with a smile to get away from it.
His family was the best.
Tony woke up to his alarm and turned to device off, sighing as he lay back for a while. Last night after food, showers and putting Peter to bed, Tony had made sure everything was packed and ready before going to sleep himself.
Now it was four in the morning and time to head to the airport.
Stretching Tony got up, used the bathroom, and changed into jeans and a t-shirt. He then headed to the nursey and opened the door before leaning against the door frame with a soft smile.
There in the crib was Peter fast asleep, pacifier gently hanging from his mouth and hair a mess. Tony couldn’t help but think he looked absolutely adorable. He almost didn’t want to wake him up.
Almost.
They had a holiday to get too.
After snapping a quick photo Tony padded over and reached over to stroke Peter’s cheek.
“Peter,” he cooed softly, “Peter, wakey, wakey, baby.”
At the sound of his voice the little one stirred and his eyes fluttered open, looking up at the man sleepily.
“Hey kiddo, ready to go Disney Land?”
Peter nodded as he sat up and rubbed his eyes while Tony scooped him up into his arms. The man checked his little one was dry before grabbing his blanket and wrapping it around him, Peter already asleep again with his face hidden in the warmth of his Dad’s neck.
With a chuckle Tony carried Peter down to the car and strapped the little one in before driving them to the airport.
Peter slept until they were in the air before he slowly woke up on his Dad’s lap.
“Hey baby,” Tony smiled, gently brushing some hair from his kids forehead.
“Hey,” Peter said, voice a little rough from sleep, “where we going?”
“We’re on our way to Disney.”
“Yay,” Peter cheered lightly, making Tony laugh.
“You wanna get changed bubba?”
With a nod Peter stood and walked to the back of the plane, blanket dragged behind him as he held it around himself.
Fifteen minutes later Peter, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, plonked himself on his Dad’s lap looking more awake then before.
“There he is,” Tony grinned, “you excited?”
“Super excited,” Peter grinned, “are we gonna land soon?”
“In a few more minutes,” Tony promised, “then we can check in, go to the park and get to seeing some characters.”
“Donald duck too?” Peter asked him, eyes alight with sheer excitement.
“Donald duck too.”
The next few minutes passed by in a bit of a blur.
After getting off the plane the two took the shuttle bus to their hotel and checked in before unpacking, using the bathroom and getting ready to head back out. Tony managing to cover his kid in sun cream first.
On the way down to the park gates Tony saw Peter let himself drop halfway, making sure to grab the little one around the waist as soon as they were through the gates. He didn’t need him running off and getting lost.
“Easy buckaroo, I promise we’ll get to it,” Tony promised as he let Peter go, smiling at the sheer childlike wonder lighting up his eyes.
“Can we get Mickey hats Daddy?” Peter asked quietly.
“Of course we can roo, let’s go.”
With that the two headed into the nearest shop and bought caps with Mickey ears, Tony’s with an arc reactor and Peter’s a Spidey one, an autograph book and pen.
They took one last trip to the bathroom, grabbed a map, and headed off to the campus.
