It was a cold sunday morning and Taehyung was waiting for his husband Jungkook to arrive from work. Taehyung hated sunday mornings because he would wake up to an empty bed since Jungkook's shift would start at 6am. Being the best surgeon in town isn't quite wonderful, there's a price to pay. Taehyung also has his own day off during Sundays. He often makes sunday a time for rejuvenation. A day just to think about nothing and soon be inspired to paint his new artwork. So now Taehyung waits while scrolling through his phone and looking at their old pictures.
Who would've thought that the team captain of the football team would fall head over heels for the president of the drama club. Who would've thought that the boy who would only fuck around go on one knee to beg the oh-so-not-popular student to be his boyfriend. It really is endearing. Jungkook would always tell Taehyung that he fell in love with him the first time he heard the latter sing. Or maybe it was when he saw Taehyung's boxy smile. Its between the two.
People would always talk about them. Talk about how Jungkook just wanted to taste a man. How Jungkook would eventually cheat on Taehyung. How Jungkook would just drop Taehyung after a month. But then 2 months passed, then 6, then a year, then 3 years. Now 7 years have passed and they've been married for 4 years and never did a third party get involved in their relationship. Jungkook loves Taehyung so much and takes care of him so much as well. Taehyung loves Jungkook just as much. They did have their fair share of ups and downs, but they would always come back to each other, because without the other, they simply couldn't live.
Their relationship was envied by many, truly Taehyung loved hearing questions like "how did you guys do it?", "how did you tame the bad guy?", "what makes a relationship last?". Taehyung would always answer the same thing over and over again, "well one thing's for sure, love is mutual."
"Dada what are you thinking about?", Naeun called. Naeun was their 4 year old daughter that they adopted 2 months after their wedding. She looked a lot like Taehyung. She had the softest features and the chubbiest cheeks ever. She had jet black hair which is silky and smooth that they would often tie up into a bun. "I'm just thinking about daddy bub." Taehyung smiled. "Did you sleep well?" He asked and when his little girl shook her head a frown quickly made its up way to Tae's face. "You don't like your own room? Nanny was there with you right?" Taehyung asked. "Yes but I don't want my room, even if its princess themed." The little girl whined. "I like sleeping in between you and daddy." She said with puppy eyes. "I'm sorry princess, I promise you, you'll be sleeping with me and daddy even if you don't want to anymore." Tae said. The little girl jumped up and down and giggled a lot. Taehyung just realized how lucky he is.
They had fun the entire day while waiting for Jungkook. Taehyung and Naeun both took a bath right after breakfast and they also made pasta for lunch. They both watched Naeun's favorite movie which is Princess Diaries. Soon enough both of them slept on the couch while the movie was still running.
"Baby, I'm home!" Jungkook called out. He went directly to the living room since he heard the tv was on. And when he saw the sight in front of him, he wondered what he did in his past life to deserve this beautiful scenery. He quickly went over and gave Taehyung and Naeun a kiss on their foreheads. "Daddy?" Naeun called out. Jungkook picked her up and enveloped her in an embrace. "Yes sweetheart, I'm home. Do you wanna sleep in our bed?" Jungkook asked and his heart did a little backflip when Naeun nodded and nuzzled her face on Jungkook's neck. Jungkook then proceeded to tuck Naeun in bed and went back to Taehyung.
"You're home?" Taehyung yawned and Jungkook sat down next to him and cuddled him. "Hmm, how was today?" Jungkook asked. "I should be the one asking that though." Taehyung smiled and suddenly all the exhaustion in Jungkook's body faded. "Well, bath time was quite tiring, she wouldn't want to get out of the tub." Taehyung said while hugging Jungkook tighter. Taehyung placed his head on Jungkook's chest. He loved hearing the younger's heartbeat escalate whenever he was around. Jungkook then placed a chaste kiss on the elder's forehead. "I missed you." Jungkook whispered. "You were only gone for 8 hours bub." Taehyung laughed. "Yeah but I saw this old couple today who looked so happy being together and thats when I realized, that's the only thing I want in life. To grow old with you and of course be a good father to Naeun." Jungkook said while smiling.
Taehyung looked up to him with eyes full of love and adoration. "I'd love that too." And Jungkook couldn't hold it anymore and closed the gap between them. Taehyung's lips tasted like strawberry and he loved it. The kiss was not rushed, not forced, it was always the same kiss. A kiss full of love, trust and what not.
