Work Text:
All Taehyung ever agreed to was to attend this obnoxious house party that his boyfriend, Baekhyun, desperately wanted him to go to. He had made up all excuses, from other dudes or girls might try to hit on me! to it's time to release some pent-up stress after the harsh exam week, baby.
Taehyung doesn't at all fit in with this type of crowd. He prefers a more tranquil and calm place where he can nap and drink his warm camomile tea. Now that's how he should be releasing his stress, not by leaning against the white wall of this affluent mansion. He feels a smile tug on his lips when familiar fingers wrap around his wrist. "Let's get out of here, the party is starting to bore me." Baekhyun rolls his eyes as he states, pulling Taehyung out to the backyard of the place.
Unlike other houses, this one, owned by Jung Hoseok's parents, is similar to that of a castle. The residence stretches out and far into the huge land, standing tall up to the sky. Behind it is an extensive land with just grass, ceased by another sizeable lake. The full moon glows beautifully above them, shining it's white light down to the dark waters, giving Taehyung the illusion of the water being sparkly.
Taehyung snaps out of his gaze when he sees not just Baekhyun, but his boyfriend's friends as well quickly take off their shirts and pants, running butt naked into the water. The laugh as they splash into the lake, splashing water into each other. "Wait, what are you guys doing?" He asks, oddly confused.
"Have you ever tried skinny dipping, hon?" When Taehyung shakes his head at the question, Baekhyun's eyes widen in shock, as if it weren't a normal thing when a person hasn't tried skinny dipping. "You are missing a terrible amount of your life, hon. Take this opportunity and try it for yourself!" Baekhyun pushes, squeezing Taehyung's hands in his.
Taehyung shakes his head, no, Baekhyun had, what? Seven? Eight friends watching them. He wasn't stripping in front of them, he has some dignity inside him. "Baek, your friends are watching."
His boyfriend rolls his eyes and groans, "They're my friends, hon. They can be trusted! Come on, stop being such a bitch and get in the water with us!" Taehyung nibbles on his lip as he lowers his eyes to the ground, seriously considering it.
He hates how his boyfriend has this surprising skill to somehow (always)convince Taehyung to get through to what he wanted to do, or to what he wanted to happen. He has this pleading look in his eyes that made Taehyung feel all guilty if he ever considered not agreeing to his boyfriend's plans, though he knows how that look would immediately be swiped away from Baekhyun's eyes when he agreed.
And he did.
The pleading, sparkling look is replaced by a mischievous glint and Taehyung questions it for a moment before shrugging it off. This was his boyfriend, someone he's been together with for seven whole months now.
"Okay, but your friends have to turn around. Including you." Baekhyun groans but agrees to it anyways.
Taehyung steps to the side, taking his shirt off and slowly placing it on the laying log behind him. Slowly, he undoes the button and zipper of his pants, pushing them down along with his boxers. He was no butt naked just like everyone else in the lake, except for his boyfriend who still had his pants on. Taehyung steps on the edge of the dock before jumping into the cold lake, shivers immediately being sent up to his spine at the immediate rise of temperature.
He doesn't know for how long he stayed underwater, but he does know he stayed long enough for Baekhyun and his friends to run out the lake and back to the house, obnoxious laughs echoing throughout the night.
When Taehyung surfaces from the water, his eyes immediately start to look for the laying log where he had placed his clothes on before. Sure enough, his clothes are all gone.
He starts to feel tears slowly prickle from the corners of his eyes. His heart slowly starts to break.
Fuck you, Byun Baekhyun. I should have stayed away from you just like what Jimin said. Asshole.
"What the fuck an I supposed to do now..." He mutters under his breath and decides to stay on the side of the lake, keeping himself hidden from the busy house about fifty whole meters away from the lake. He doesn't want any students, especially his friends to see him naked in the water. That would be utterly humiliating.
Taehyung looks around him, looking for something, anything to cover him up good enough so he can escape the water. It's slowly starting to go cold and Taehyung can feel his body shiver every three seconds, his lower lip unable to stop wobbling.
About ten, fifteen minutes of sitting there, cold and ass naked, Taehyung hears noises behind him. They sound similar to those of footsteps. Fuck, someone's coming.
Taehyung pushes himself into the water and turns around, eyeing the dark forest behind the lake. He doubts his eyes for a moment when he makes up a dark, furry figure slowly making it's way towards him. It takes it's steps slowly, as if it were a predator planning to pounce on it's prey. Any minute, any second from now.
There had been rumors. Rumors of huge beasts lurking inside the big forest located behind the Jung's residence. Rumors of big bears and big wolves living, running and killing all over the forest, that's why it has become a big off-limits especially to minors and students.
Taehyubg didn't believe in the rumors, but he was slowly starting to now. The thick leaves and long branches that stretched out wide into the forest covers the bright light of the full moon from illuminating down on the big thing similarly to how it illuminates down on the sizeable lake.
After a few more moments, the thing is merely meters away from Taehyung. It's eyes a bright yellow, looking as if they were glowing balls of colour in the dark. Taehyung could see the outline of it and he can make up how it looked similar to a wolf. Slowly, the things takes a step forward, exposing it's foot under the moon's light, showing off a paw similar to that of a dog's- but much bigger. The stygian fur that wraps around it shines beautifully under the moon's light. It looked as if it were bathed in tubes of Jimin's glossier lipgloss multiple times.
Tearing his gaze off the paw, he frightfully looks up and realises just how huge this wolf really is. It can't be a normal wolf- no. If Taehyung was standing, the thing would be toppling over him by a few inches, pushing Taehyung's 5"8 to shame.
A petrified whimper comes from behind his throat and he feels the air around him start to compress. He's scared shitless. There are multiple things that the animal could do to him and all these point to his eventual death.
The wolf(Taehyung supposes it so) slowly lower's it's head and the yellow, frightened and intimidating eyes calm down to a more soft gaze. Taehyung doesn't know why, but it gives him some sort of confirmation that this animal wasn't going to hurt him. Some sort.
"Wh-what are you?" Taehyung asks, mentally hitting himself in the head, knowing full well that animals can't speak. The wolf simply whimpers and slowly inches it's huge head towards Taehyung, it's snoot reached out, as if Taehyung was supposed to touch him.
"Please don't kill me..." Taehyung says, breathless. When the animal just looks up at him, the same soft look in it's eyes, Taehyung all but lets curiosity get the best of him.
Was the fur soft? Was he going to lose his hand before he could even touch this big animal? Is Taehyung an idiot for doing this?
Yes, no, yes.
Yes, the fur was soft. Softer than any other fur Taehyung had touched- fake or legit. It was similar to that of a velvet, but much fluffier and Taehyung's hand dipped down more.
No, he didn't lose his hand at all. The animal simply closed its eyes as if he wanted Taehyung to do that.
Yes, Taehyung is a complete idiot for doing this, no doubt. But the animal's reaction to his touch made him think otherwise. It was as if the both of them had this connection. Call him weird, but he felt like this wasn't wrong at all. Like touching this wild animal that was obviously larger than him, was okay and that he did this everyday for the past twenty-two years of his life here on Earth.
Taehyung's breath hitches when he hears the animal purr to his touch, making him curl his fingers on the back of one of it's ears, scratching the spot. The purring intensifies and Taehyung feels like he could do this for the whole night if it weren't for his (ex)boyfriend and his gang of assholes yelling and catcalling, their voices echoing throughout the land.
The animal's head raises along with it's ears in alert, eyes immediately on the group of people making their way back to the lake with drunk steps. Taehyung narrows his eyes and sees his clothes are no where to be found.
"Fuck, what am I supposed to do..." Taehyung mutters to himself, almost forgetting about the wolf behind him. He feels something poke his back and he turns around to see the wolf laying on it's front, looking at Taehyung expectantly.
"I'm losing it. Yeah, definitely losing it." Taehyung shakes his head and holds onto it, wishing he was dreaming.
There's absolutely no way that a wolf is asking him ti rude on it's back, no way. When the animal rolls it's eyes, Taehyung has to do a double take to make sure he didn't imagine that.
Rolling of eyes were something only humans could do intentionally, right? Maybe the wolf did it unintentionally. But with Taehyung's comment, rolling your eyes was something the people associated Taehyung would do. They would roll his eyes at their friend's stupidity or recklessness.
"Taetae! Where are you?" He hears Baekhyun shout, his loud voice hitting Taehyung like a truck.
He was now completely and utterly afraid of the other, unsure of what will happen to him if he were to walk up to the group of friends, group of drunk friends, while he was naked.
"Come on, we have our cameras out and ready for you! Wanna show the whole uni, the whole world how pretty you and your little body is!"
It was either the friends, or sit on the wolf's back and let it carry you to wherever cave it lives in along with it's pack and have it have him for dinner. Or maybe just dessert since Taehyung's body is small and wouldn't fill big stomachs like those of a wolf's.
The voices are coming closer and before Taehyung could decide to just turn around and lose his dignity, the wolf lowers it's head down Taehyung's front, scooping him up on his back. "Woah!" Taehyung yells, gripping on the soft fur to stop himself from falling.
The wolf starts running at an incredible pace and Taehyung feels free, for the first time. He had never rode at that speed before. The cold night's air brushed against his skin, pulling his hair back as spots of the moon's light from above peak through the holes that the thick leaves of the trees fail to cover up.
For a moment, probably a minute or so, Taehyung forgets he's sitting on a dangerous animal's back, letting it lead Taehyung to his possible death place. "Where are you taking me?! Put me down!" Taehyung yells, but the animal doesn't listen.
Tsk, yeah, as if it could understand you, Taehyung.
Taehyung tries tugging on the animal's fur and his brows raise when it's speed decreases until they come to a full stop. Even though he wasn't the one running, Taehyung still felt the need to pant. The adrenaline coursing through his veins told him to do so.
The wolf looks at him through it's side, as if waiting for Taehyung to do something. When the man doesn't move, the wolf tilts it's body to the side, Taehyung slowly slipping off until his naked butt hits the ground with a thump.
"Rude." He spat and the wolf ignores him, strutting over to a cabin and a white box. Taehyung guesses it's an ice box. It digs its head inside, looking for something.
"What the..." Taehyung narrows his eyes to try and see what the animal was trying to do. When it finally pulls it's head out, it has something in it's mouth.
Is that... "A blanket?"
Before Taehyung could fully comprehend the item, it's being thrown at him by the surprisingly smart wolf. He struts his lips out into a pout and unfolds the blanket, wrapping it around his naked body.
"Who are you? And why did you help me?" Taehyung asks, hoping he wasn't living in a normal world and that the animal would just answer him. Instead, it stares at Taehyung, capturing the man in his glowing, yellow eyes.
Slowly, Taehyung's hand creeps up from below the blanket, stretching out to cup the side of the wolf's face. Before he could even touch the soft, velvet fur once again, the door of the cabin flies open, making Taehyung jump in shock.
His eyes widen and body freezes, as if he were a deer caught in headlights. "Who are you and what are you doing in front of my parent's cabin?" The man asks, his voice seem familiar.
The light from behind the man doesn't make it easy for Taehyung to see the man's face right away, so he has to narrow his eyes to get a clearer look. When he can finally recognise the man though, he opens his mouth to say something but is immediately cut off.
"Taehyung? Is that you? Why the hell are you here? And why are you covered in...just a blanket?" Seokjin asks, jogging over to Taehyung, placing an arm around his shoulders, leading him to the cabin.
Seokjin is one of Taehyung's close friends in college, they were friends ever since they were kids and Seokjin is just like an older brother to Taehyung- someone who taught him stuff his parents didn't, wouldn't or just straight up forgot to.
The cabin holds more familiar faces; Kim Namjoon and Min Yoongi. They are just as good friends to Taehyung as Seokjin is to him.
"The question is, why are the three of you in this cabin? There's a loud house party not far from here." Seokjin clicks his tongue and shakes his head at Taehyung's question, giving the younger boy a pointed look. "Don't answer my question with another question."
Taehyung bites on his lower lip, not knowing how to handle the situation or how to answer his hyung's question.
Oh, a big wolf brought me here on it's back.
Taehyung shakes his head, not wanting to even try and consider that answer. He'd just sound insane.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." He says, clutching the ends of the blanket, holding them so they won't slip off his body.
"Nonsense. Even if you told me a mythical creature brought you here, I would think you're a little crazy, but won't tell you I think that." Seokjin tries and even laughs at his own joke, his shoulders bouncing as he laughs.
When he sees Taehyung's stoic expression, when he sees how Taehyung is all frozen in his place, as if he were caught stating a lie, his laughs calm down and he raises a questioning brow at Taehyung. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Seokjin asks.
"Wolf." Taehyung's voice is calm and if it weren't for the fact that it was totally unbelievable and unexpected, Jin would have believed him. "A big, black wolf. It's fur appeared shiny like silk but felt like a soft velvet carpet." Taehyung describes, looking down at his hand, imagining the wolf's fur on it.
There's a moment of silence before footsteps a heard coming from the back following a loud shutting of a door. They could tell it was a human; the sound of boots aren't questionable.
As if in slow motion, in comes Jeon Jungkook. His hair messy, a hot kind of messy, looking all fluffy. His checkered button down was unbuttoned twice, exposing much of his collar bones and chiseled chest. Taehyung has to double take if he's still breathing correctly.
Taehyung isn't going to lie. Jeon Jungkook has been in multiple of his fantasies. He can't help that the man was hot as fuck. Like, he plays basketball and football. Not only that, but he sings and dances and is one of their university's top swimmers. He's seen the sophomore multiple times without a shirt on, and he has never failed to make Taehyung drool every time.
"Wolves? I think the cold has gotten to you, buddy." Jungkook chuckles, a playful smirk curling up one side of his lip.
God, those pink lips look so beautiful, Taehyung wonders if it's considered cheating if you imagine kissing someone else that isn't your boyfriend.
It isn't cheating if you no longer have a boyfriend. Dump the asshole.
Taehyung pushes the thoughts aside.
"See? You still wouldn't believe me," Taehyung sighs, "May I borrow a shirt, hyung? And maybe some pants too. I just really wanna go home." Taehyung can hear how tired he is with the way his voice sounds too deflated.
He's tired and all he wants to do is wash up and throw himself on his bed, making a cocoon out of himself with his thick, warm blankets. (And maybe even continue to think about Jungkook and his glory abs but he would never admit that. Not yet.)
Seokjin just nods his head, motioning for Taehyung to follow him with his hand. Taehyung smiles at Namjoon and Yoongi before disappearing with Jin inside the bedroom.
"Thank you for dropping me off, hyung." Taehyung says tiredly as he pushes the door open, hopping off the tall pick up truck. "Anytime when I'm not busy, Tae! Good night!"
Taehyung carries on with his plans, washing himself clean, making sure he hasn't missed any part of himself before he lays on his bed, his eyelids slowly dropping like curtains when a show is finished.
Just before he drifts to sleep, he swears he hears the familiar padding of paws right outside his bedroom. Silence follows and a howl is heard.
+++
"We're over."
Taehyung can finally breathe. It wasn't as pressuring as he had thought. He doesn't know why he got all worked up, got his anxiety level hitting the roof when it was just this simple.
You see, when Taehyung woke up this morning, he had a plan. That plan was to finally cut things off with Baekhyun. The man was rude, selfish and an asshole. He didn't treat Taehyung right at all and didn't respect him enough.
Though it probably wasn't Taehyung's best move when he decided to do it straight away in the halls where there were many students pacing and chatting around them, where Baekhyun's friends surrounded the both of them.
The man in front of him just raises a brow and locks his jaw, crossing his arms as he leans most of his weight on one leg. "No we're not." He says, shaking his head.
Taehyung's brows knit in confusion. Who exactly did this man think he is? Taehyung had every right to cut things, everything, between them just as much as he had. This wasn't a question, it was a statement. They were over.
"You don't get to have any say in this. I saw we're over, we're over." Taehyung's words rolled off his tongue like they were the only things he wants to say right now.
Baekhyun wraps his fingers around Taehyung's wrist, pulling him closer to avoid the man from walking away.
"If I don't, then you don't too. I saw we're not over, we're not over." Baekhyun practically hisses at Taehyung, saying his words through gritted teeth.
There it is again. That energy, aura, power that radiates out of Baekhyun. He basically shits them out. Taehyung starts to feel powerless, starts to feel a whimper creeping up his throat. There is a voice at the back of his head that's telling him, yelling at him that he should just slouch it off and agree with his boyfriend. That's been the only thing he's been doing ever since they started this relationship.
Before Taehyung could react in anyway, a hand rips Baekhyun's grip off of Taehyung's wrist and the man is being pushed off, away from Taehyung, his back hitting the wall painfully. "He said back off, didn't he? Can't you understand shit?"
Taehyung's eyes whip to the man who pushed Byun away. He feels his heart quicken when he sees that it's Jungkook. His hair covering half way through his eyes, hiding the intense gaze that the younger is holding. He's wearing a black hoodie that's a size or two too big for him, giving him sweater paws. Black baggy pants that fit him well, not too baggy to look ugly but enough to show the size of his thighs. Black timber lands down below and the look was finished off with a few dangly silver earrings and a black backpack hanging over just one shoulder of his.
When the younger boy looks at him, Taehyung quickly snaps out of his trance, looking around them to see a crowd is formed. Probably from how much of a bitch Baekhyun was currently acting like; groaning and moaning, holding onto his shoulder as if it had been broken. Taehyung can only roll his eyes.
"Are you okay?" Taehyung has to stop himself from melting into a puddle at Jungkook's question. The man's voice turned soft, as if he were talking to a baby.
"Yeah, yeah I'm cool." Taehyung answers nervously and starts to fiddle with his thumbs. This scene causes Baekhyun to scoff and stop his poor acting, bouncing on his feet as he takes a step towards Jungkook, invading too much of the man's personal space.
"Why the fuck do you think you are, cutting into my boyfriend and I's conversation like that, huh? Didn't they teach you basic manners, huh, punk?" Baekhyun challenges, inching his forehead closer towards Jungkook as he gave a death glare- not that it was affecting Jungkook in any way at all, the young man is completely calm and collected in front of the practically heathing senior.
"Ex boyfriend. He just broke up with you." Jungkook points out and Baekhyun is quick to take Taehyung's wrist again, yanking him forward.
"No he didn't. I won't let him."
"Let me go you asshole." Taehyung hisses, trying to pry Baekhyun's fingers loose from his wrist.
"What did you call me?"
"He said let go." Jungkook's voice is stronger now, sounding dangerous. His breathing may be calm and the same as before, his hands may not be clenched to fists, his face not as red as Baekhyun's and his jaw not locked, but the look in his eyes were enough to loosen up the senior's grip.
Taehyung pulls his hand and immediately starts to massage the area, scrunching his face up at the insane man.
"You sound like you're ready to fight." Baekhyun chuckles humorlessly, taking another step towards Jungkook. The sophomore simply smirks, glowering at Baekhyun. "Don't bite off more than you can chew." Jungkook's voice is dark, deep and sounded similar to that of cement- it was rough.
Taehyung sees Baekhyun's fists curl up and if it weren't for Yoongi, Namjoon and Seokjin glaring at him behind Jungkook, Taehyung would have told the younger about it.
Defeated, but he doesn't show it, Baekhyun steps back and walks away with his group of friends, shoving students out of the way as he walks through the halls.
"Tch. What an asshole." Yoongi mutters.
"Taehyung, are you alright?" Jin asks worridly, slowly taking the hand that Baekhyun gripped on, inspecting the forming bruise around the wrist. "We should get you some ice, yeah?"
Taehyung smiles thankfully but shakes his head, taking his hand back. "The four of you are going to miss your classes, please, I can handle myself. Thank you though." Taehyung says, mustering up the biggest and fakest smile he could do and turns around, about to walk away.
"Can you, though?" Jungkook asks, making Taehyung stop in his feet. Slowly, he turns around, raising a questioning brow at Jungkook. "I'm sorry?"
Jungkook sighs and walks over to him, letting his arms move freely on either side of his body. "Just saying. You have a crazy ex who isn't allowing you to break up with him. Do you really think you're safe?"
No, of course not. Taehyung doesn't think he's safe one bit, especially with that insane Baekhyun strutting around campus with his friends. Shit could happen to Taehyung.
"I just... I don't what to do..." Taehyung sighs, lowering his gaze, deciding that his old, dirty black converse were now much more interesting than the star student in front of him. When he sees a hand reach over for his left hand, he looks up to ask Jungkook what he was doing.
The tip of a mark hits his palm and he has to physically contain himself. He can't just giggle uncontrollably and possibly hit Jungkook in the face just because he was ticklish at that part of his body.
"Text me when you're free, I may just have an idea for you." Jungkook tells him and then puts the cap of the marker back.
Taehyung withdraws his hand and sees numbers scribbled on his palm...phone numbers?
"I'll see you later, Taehyung." Jungkook says, running over to catch up with his friend who have already started to walk away. Taehyung waves goodbye at Jin who smiles at him.
Taehyung look down at his palm once again, not wanting to believe anything that happened today was real.
+++
"Eeeek! Tell me everything that happened!"
Taehyung flinches away from his phone and glares at it as if it had just insulted his mother's cooking.
Jimin, his best friend, was on the other line and called him cause apparently, word got out about what happened in the hallway with him, Jungkook and Baekhyun. Well, Taehyung honestly expected it to happen since there were quite a few students.
"I won't if you continue screaming in my ear like that."
Jimin whines on the other line and Taehyung giggles, his best friend being too adorable for his own good.
"Okay, okay. So it started when..."
And Taehyung begins to summarise the whole scene, not wanting to leave out any important details so his best friend wouldn't feel bad with him.
"Oh, my, god. You are living in a fiction! What the hell!"
Taehyung can practically hear Jimin pouting in the other end. He pushes the phone up to his ear with his shoulder and takes the sandwich he had been working on while he was giving Jimin that little story time.
He bites on it wand walks over to the living room, plopping his cute ass on the expensive leather as he clicked multiple times on a particular button of the remote, switching from channel to channel.
"Also, he gave me his number."
Another scream.
"I swear to god, I will not hesitate to drop this call, Park Jimin." Taehyung says through gritted teeth.
"Well? What did you do?"
"Nothing."
A dramatic sigh is heard in the other line and Taehyung rolls his eyes so hard it hurt.
"What do you mean??? Text him you moron!"
"I don't know what to talk about!"
"He gave you his number so it's his responsibility to think of a topic! Just text him!"
"Calm the fuck down! I will!"
The call ends and Taehyung gets up from the couch, running up the stairs to his bedroom. There, he throws himself on his bed, feeling his heart pound on his chest so hard, he can practically hear the beating in his ears.
He takes out his phone and opens up Jungkook's contact, clicking on the 'message' button. His two thumbs hover over the keypad, unable to think about what he's going to type in.
Do I say hey? Hiii? Yo, what's up??
Before Taehyung can think properly about the message, his thumbs start tapping from key to key, as if they had a mind of their own.

Taehyung puts his phone down on his stomach, screen facing down as he looked up at the glow in the dark stick-on stars and moons he stuck on his ceiling. They have been there ever since they moved in and they have really helped Taehyung sleep better at night.
He stares at them for three, four minutes before he feels his eyelids growing heavy. Not long after, darkness scoops him up in its arms.
+++
Taehyung walks in their university building, airpods on as he keeps his gaze down, gluing them on his phone. He scrolls past posts on Instagram before a hand is softly pulling him to a stop.
If this were any case, Taehyung would have thought it was just Baekhyun and shrugged the hand off. But this hand was covered in tattoos. The back of the palm was full of beautiful flowers that creeped up higher into his forearm, slowly disappearing underneath the long sleeve. The person's knuckles had '1997' on each of them and a small 'JK' on the side of the middle finger embedded in bold letters and a dimple font.
Taehyung brings his head up, feeling his entire day brighten at the sight of Jungkook smiling at him widely. His eyes sparkled like they held millions of universes and his smile brought light in a way that the sun couldn't compete.
"Good morning, hyung." Jungkook greets, handing Taehyung a plastic cup, the contents inside looking like iced caramel macchiato. He raises a questioning brow and looks at Jungkook inquisitively.
The younger one presses his lips into a warm smile and leans forward, causing Taehyung to freeze in his position. Many students stopped to stare at them, some even taking out their phones to record or take pictures of the scene, but Taehyung couldn't give a single damn. Jungkook's hot breath was fanning over the sensitive skin of his neck, prickling goosebumps all over the area. The sensation caused a shiver to run down Taehyung's spine and butterflies to erupt in his stomach, going feral.
God, the things this man could do to Taehyung just by breathing on his neck.
"I said I would figure something out." Jungkook whispers before drawing his head back, smiling innocently at Taehyung as if he had been ignorant of the effects his actions have on Taehyung.
"And what's that?" Taehyung just has to ask because the wheels in his head are absolutely not turning and it's giving Taehyung a headache just by thinking.
"I'll be courting you."
Taehyung hasn't even sipped on his coffee yet, but he already starts choking. Not with his spit, but with the air. Jungkook is quick to rub his hand up and down Taehyung's back, easing the elder. "Calm down, I wouldn't want you choking for anyone else."
Taehyung's face and body heats up so quickly at the comment that he feels light headed in a matter of seconds. What did Jeon Jungkook do that didn't affect Taehyung?
"It's only the first day and you're already trying to kill me." Taehyung mutters, standing up straight when he regains his composure. He clears his throat and narrows his eyes at Jungkook, glaring at him while the younger one simply laughs.
"Come on, I'll take you to your classes." Jungkook tilts his head to the side, motioning for Taehyung to walk with him. The elder one doesn't even hesitate and follows Jungkook, sipping on his coffee that he holds with both of his hands and his head ducked down, as if trying to make himself seem smaller than usual.
When he reaches his classroom, Jungkook tells him a quick "bye, see you later." before leaving him at the door. Taehyung enters the classroom as if nothing serious had happened in his life and all is well and composed until he reaches his seat. Jimin quickly comes flying to his side, their bodies bumping onto each other and he almost sends Taehyung flying to the desk beside theirs.
"Spill the whole fucking tea!" Jimin yells, making their classmates look at him weirdly. If it were just any group of people, they would have glared or looked badly at Jimin. But they've been classmates for months now and now each other well, meaning they're also used to Jimin being this obnoxious and loud.
"You've been breaking my eardrums since last night. Lower your damn voice or I'm not spilling anything."
Jimin crosses his arms and huffs, his lips slowly pushing out into a pout and his brows furrow in agitation. Taehyung just smiles and sets his stuff down before turning his body to the side, facing Jimin.
He looks up at the ceiling, sticking his lips out into a pout. "Hmmm... nothing really happened today? He walked up to me and gave me coffee, which is, actually, one of the best coffees I've ever had, holy fuck, I'm asking him where he got it." Jimin gives him a teasing look but motions him to continue speaking. "And then he walks me to class. Nothing really happened except for the fact that his breath caused my whole body to malfunction on the spot as a crowd of students took recordings and pictures of us. Damn, have I ever pointed out that he smells like cookie dough?"
Jimin smiles widely, a teasing smile, and shoot his brows up. "Someone seems whipped." He says, scooting back to his place as he rearranges his things.
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not!"
"Are too~!"
Taehyung just huffs and crosses his arms, twisting his body to face the front. He just doesn't want to lower his pride and admit that maybe, just a little bit, maybe he's a little whipped for Jungkook. Like, out of a hundred, he's zero point zero one percent whipped. Just a lil bit. Just a dab.

The bell rings, signalling the end of their lecture. Taehyung quickly gets up and begins to keep his things with a tired sigh. He doesn't have any other classes or plans after this, so he's planning to go back to his dorm and just sleep.
"Tae, I can't go out with you." Jimin whines, snaking his small, chubby fingers around Taehyung's forearm as he sticks out an endearing pout. "Why not?" Taehyung raises a brow.
"Hoseok hyung told me two instructors called in sick today and he would handle the classes by himself but he realised it would be hard since there are like twenty-something freshmen in each class." Taehyung finds himself nodding at his best friend's explanation. "Alright. Do you want me to bring you some food to eat when you get home?" Jimin shakes his head, a sweet smile plastered across his face.
"Thanks Tae." Jimin waves him off, jogging out the room as Taehyung buds him good bye with a half nod.
When Taehyung slings his bag over his shoulder, turning on his phone to connect his airpods in. "You're on your phone quite frequently, aren't you?" He hears a familiar voice echo throughout the room and Taehyung snaps his head up in surprise.
"Jungkook." He breathes out in relief, "What are you doing here? Don't you have classes?" Taehyung walks over to the alpha with his folder full of handouts in one arm. After taking just a few steps, Taehyung is quickly hit by the familiar scent of cookie dough. Sweet and homey, Taehyung is quick to find home in Jungkook.
You barely know the guy.
Taehyung quickly composes himself and pushes the voice to the back of his head. He smiles, demanding an answer from the elder who simply shrugged his shoulders and frowned.
"Eh, I promised I would see you later, didn't I? Plus, the class was boring, wanted to ditch." When Taehyung stands an arm away from the sophomore, Jungkook takes a small step forward and takes Taehyung's folder full of papers and backpack without asking, throwing the bag over his shoulder. Taehyung stills at the movement, feeling a good number of students look and whisper around them, probably as shocked as Taehyung.
"You up for milktea and cookies? I know the perfect place to go get some." Jungkook flashes a sweet smile at Taehyung which simply tugged at the younger's heartstrings. Who was he to say know to a smiling Jungkook?
Taehyung ignores the stares and whispers, walking by Jungkook's side. The walk to the cafe was quick and Taehyung is shocked to see an all-too familiar cafe in front of them. "I know this place." He says, staring up at the familiar sign. The younger stops in his tracks and turn around, "You do?"
"Yeah, I'm good friends with the owner. Do you know who Kim Seokjin is?" Taehyung asks, running over to not keep Jungkook waiting. Together, they push the cafe's glass door open, Jungkook still has his eyes on Taehyung.
"Yeah, he's my-"
"Jungkook? Why are you here? You're supposed to be in class!" Jin's familiar voice booms from across the room.
"-best friend."
Taehyung stares as his Jin walks around the counter to walk over to them, both hands on either of his hips and a deep scowl embedded on his face as his brows knit together and eyes form an icy glare. When his eyes shift towards Taehyung, however, all anger and irritation seem to fade away almost immediately and his features turn soft.
"Oh, Taehyung! You're here." The graduate exclaims in surprise to which Taehyung sheepishly ducks his head and scratches his nape at. "Yeah, my lecture ended quickly. Found out Jungkook ditched his class and invited me over for some milktea."
Jin says a long 'oooh' and nods his head, facing towards Jungkook this time who had his head lowered. If Jungkook were a puppy, Taehyung could see his tail tucked between his legs. He chuckles at the sight and feels his chest heat up.
"If your mother finds out you cut classes again, I'm not helping you out of it." Jin says and quickly turns around, marching back to the counter with his chest out and back arched.
Taehyubg looks over to Jungkook who just sighs, a messy blush scattered across his face, as if he was embarrassed by what just happened. "Jin seems to look out for you so much." Taehyung chuckles. "He's more of an older brother than just a best friend, to be honest." As Jungkook spoke, he walks over to an empty table and pulls out a chair for Taehyung. The younger smiles and blushes at the sweet gesture, sitting on the given seat. Jungkook sits across from Taehyung, placing the younger's bag on the space on the table beside them.
"So, Taehyung. What's your favourite flavour for your milktea?" Jungkook asks.
Before Taehyung could answer, two large paper cups are placed on their table with their names on each cup. "Vanilla bean with boba pearls for Taehyung and brown sugar milktea with coffee jelly for Jungkook. Enjoy." Seokjin says, ruffling the elder's hair as he walked away. Taehyung chuckles at how sweet their affectionate relationship is and kinda wishes he had a close-to-a-brother best friend like Jin, but he has Jimin who's somewhat like that, so he's not complaining.
"Let's get to know each other." Jungkook pierces his straw through the plastic covering of the cup, sipping on it as he looked up at Taehyung. The younger one mirrors his actions and instead of lowering his head like what Jungkook did, he brings the cup up with his hand.
"Alright. Why are people afraid of you?" Taehyung asks and Jungkook is surprised with how quickly he came off the bat.
"Well," Jungkook clears his voice, "I'm not sure if afraid is the proper word for it..." Jungkook taps on his chin and looks up at the ceiling, as if thinking really hard. "...respect may be the word you mean. Well, first of all, I'm a star athlete." Taehyung smirks at how Jungkook was lowkey flexing himself. "My family is able to give me what I need and want, apart from being a star athlete, I'm also a star student. All straight A's baby boy." Jungkook winks at him and Taehyung has to bite on his tongue to stop himself from smiling and blushing like an idiot at the nickname Jungkook just used on him.
"And I'm also like, really hot, but that's besides the point." Taehyung chokes on his drink at the last part and Jungkook is on a fit of laughter as the younger coughs and gasps on air desperately. "Tae, are you okay?" Jungkook asks in between laughs and Taehyung tries to muster every bit of strength he has in him to glare at the elder boy.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry for laughing. I have a question for you." Taehyung nods his head, regaining his composure. "Tell me more about your childhood."
Taehyung fiddles with the plastic wrapping that's used for his straw as he thinks of what to answer Jungkook. "Well, my childhood was fun. Definitely was the type of child to go running and playing outside. Had multiple wounds all over my body for playing, but I don't regret them." He takes a sip of his drink, "I really like dogs." He notices how Jungkook perks up his statement. "One time, I had a dog named Yeontan. He was a black pomeranian. He died because my father accidentally hit him with a golf ball while he was playing in our backyard, so that sucked." Jungkook snorts at him. "My second dog was a pomeranian again and I was too lazy to think of another name, so I stuck with Yeontan. He was brown and died because of old age. He died last year and even after I've gotten a new dog, my heart is still grieving." Jungkook smiles softly at Taehyung's subtle humor.
"I have a dog right now. Yeontan and a pomeranian still. He's a mix this time- of black and brown. He was..." Jungkook's smile is swept from his face at the sight of how Taehyung's soft features harden and darken. "He was Baekhyun's gift to me."
Jungkook doesn't know what to do, so he just sits there quietly, waiting for Taehyung to break the ice. When he doesn't, Jungkook takes it upon himself to speak up. "Well, anyways, what do you like to do on your free time?"
"I like to paint." Taehyung's answer lights up Jungkook's eyes and his smile appears back on his face. "Really? Let's go painting next time then!" Taehyung's eyebrows raise up at the invitation. "Where?" He asks, "At my house. My mom has her own room for painting and stuff. Told me I was welcome anytime just incase I wanted to have fun or relieve some stress."
Taehyung's breath hitches and he sucks it in. He suddenly feels nervous, his body hot and his hands clammy. Was it because of the invitation? The fact that he just hot invited to the hottest, possibly richest and most intimidating guy over to his house? No, not at all. It was the fact that he mentioned a 'next time'. Damn, Taehyung really thought this was just a one-time thing.
He thought wrong.
"Is that a no?" Jungkook asks, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts. The younger quickly shakes his head, "I mean, yeah! Sure, I'll go...when we hang out next time."

Taehyung wakes up to sounds of pebbles hitting his bedroom window. Groggily, he sits up on his bed, blinking a few times before glancing over to look at the time.
12:24 am
Who is the asshole waking him up at the middle of the night?
Taehyung walks over to his window and pushes it open, regretting to do so when a pebble hit his face lightly. "Oh shit!" a ushered voice exclaims, "I'm so sorry Tae!"
"Jeon. What are you doing in the middle of the night?" All Taehyung ever wants to do right now is slam his window right at Jungkook and jump right back on his bed. "I can't sleep."
"And you thought it would be a good idea to bother someone else?"
Jungkook grins stupidly at him and Taehyung sighs loudly, rolling his eyes as he motions for Jungkook to climb inside his room through his window. Honestly, he doesn't know what the hell he's doing and why he's doing it. All he knows is that he's tired and he wants to go to sleep as soon as possible.
"Damn, Kim. Never pegged you as the fanboy type." Jungkook blows out a low whistle as he slowly walks beside Taehyung's wall full of kpop groups' posters. "You either leave Twice alone and sleep or I'm kicking you out."
"Where am I going to sleep anyways?"
Taehyung doesn't wait or think for a second and he's suddenly pulling Jungkook into the duvets with him. His bed is queen sized, so their wasn't a problem with them fitting together. Despite having a wide ass space, Taehyung still chooses to wrap his arms around Jungkook's waist and bury his face into the man's chest.
"Taehyung, what are you doing?" Taehyung hushes him quickly, muttering a sleepy 'go to sleep' with a soft slur, before drifting to sleep.
+++
Taehyung thinks he's still dreaming.
He wakes up to a beautiful angel in front of him. A sleeping Jeon Jungkook doesn't look anywhere near the way he does when he's awake. His facial features are all softened up, with his lips turned into a pout and instead of a harsh, icy glare on his eyes, his eyelashes make them look all soft and baby-like. The way his nose slopes beautifully and his cheeks are all full as soft, feather snores slip between his lips.
"You're staring." Taehyung feels his soul leave his body at Jungkook's sudden words. The boy opens his eyes, staring right into Taehyung's dark brown orbs.
"And you're on my bed." Taehyung snaps back, "You pulled me in."
When it's prominent that he's lost the mini battle, Taehyung huffs and gets up, stretching his arms out as he yawns loudly. "So what kind of breakfast is your mother making?" Jungkook's question caused Taehyung's eyes to widen as the realisation hits him. He has another boy on his bed (looking hot as fuck but that's not the point) who looks like he just slept thirty years and his parents downstairs don't know who he is, or how he even got to Taehyung's room.
"You gotta leave." Taehyung says, jumping off the bed when he hears faint footsteps climbing up the stairs of his parent's house. Jungkook pouts at him and sits up, crossing his arms together. "You can't be that cold-hearted, Tae." He mumbles and pulls out his puppy eyes, almost making Taehyung swoon.
"If my mom sees you, she's going to kill-"
A knock is heard on the door, followed by a sweet, honey-like voice that is all too familiar to Taehyung. "Honey? Wake up, breakfast is ready!" Taehyung turns around and pulls Jungkook off the bed, dragging him to the window. He looks out to see his father mowing the lawn. "Fuck." he mutters and looks around frantically.
His doorknob starts to turn and Taehyung could only think of one hiding spot: under his bed.
Taehyung pushes Jungkook down to the ground at an incredible strength (or maybe that's because Jungkook just woke up) and under his bed. By the time the door opens, he pulls his duvet down to hide Jungkook from his other.
"Honey?" Taehyung turns around with questioning eyes at the voice, smiling at his mother. "Coming, mom." She smiles warmly at him and ushers him to move faster with her hand. He walks towards the door, looking behind him to see Jungkook furrowing his brows at him.
The two of them sit on the dining table and Taehyung's mother is quickly placing some french toast on his plate. "Mom, what's dad doing on the lawn?" Taehyung asks, scooping in some toast and syrup in his mouth. "Oh, he's actually cleaning our gutters, son. I hope you don't mind if he gets your window a tad bit dirty. He'll be stepping on it."
Taehyung feels his heart drop to his stomach and his eyes widen. Before he could react even more, a loud scream is heard from his bedroom, startling both him and his mother. "Oh, dear! I hope he didn't hurt himself!" His mom says, jogging over to the stairs to Taehyung's room. Taehyung runs after her, trying his best to keep up but was too late when he sees Jungkook being dragged out his room by his father.
"Son! This crazy man was staying under your bed! We're taking him to the police!" Taehyung quickly runs over to his father and detaches his hand from Jungkook's arm, placing himself between the two taller men. "Dad, calm down. I know who he is-"
"You do?"
Taehyung nods his head. "He's my friend from school. He came over last night because he..." Think of an excuse, an excuse, an excuse.
"My parents have been fighting recently and I couldn't sleep with all their voices... I hope you don't mind, Mr. and Mrs. Kim." Jungkook lies, bowing 'apologetically' at Taehyung's parents.
Taehyung sees his parent's eyes soften and his mother is the first to break the ice. "Oh, dear! It's okay, it's okay! I hope my husband didn't hold you too harshly, come downstairs and join us for breakfast."
Taehyung's jaw hangs at his mother's words, not believing the scene at all! Jungkook could be seriously planning to hurt Taehyung and his parents went ahead and invited him for breakfast. What kind of fuckery is this?
They all head downstairs and sit on the empty chairs in the dining area. "Kid, I'm so sorry for scaring you. Why were you hiding under our son's bed, anyways?" Taehyung's father asks and Jungkook looks to Taehyung, eyes silently pleading for help. "Oh! Uh..." Taehyung's eyes look around frantically, "I was...afraid you two might get mad at me for inviting someone to the house without permission..." Taehyung says, looking down.
"Oh, honey. You know you can invite anyone here. Just ask."
They eat breakfast in silence, speaking up and discussing over small things before letting the silence cover them like a blanket once again. When they're done, Taehyung stands up and takes both his parents' plates, placing them on top of his. "I'll do the dishes." He says and Jungkook mirrors his movements after. "I'll help."
The two of them head over to the kitchen, placing the plates in the sink. "We'll start getting ready for work honey!" Taehyung's mother shouts from upstairs.
Taehyung turns the faucet on and washing the plates, giving them to Jungkook who soaps them. "By the way." Jungkook leans over to Taehyung's ear, his hot breath on the younger's earlobe causing the hair all over his body to rise up. "You have such a wide collection of toys under your bed." Taehyung freezes, "Does your mother know you still play with toys, babe?"
Fuck, those were given by Jimin. All given by Jimin. From the cockrings, to the straps, the ropes, dildos and vibrators, and everything else.
"Be quiet and do your work."

Before Taehyung goes to uni on a monday, his morning starts off a little too uneventful. First, he wakes up covered in sweat and his room feeling like a whole ass oven because his AC decided fuck it and break down in the middle of the night as he is sleeping. Second, he ran out of shampoo and couldn't go downstairs to get another bottle cause he knows his mother would beat his ass if the carpets get wet. Third, his car had to run out of gas when he was merely minutes away from being late.
So if everyone knew about how Taehyung's morning started off, they wouldn't question his pissy mood. As he enters the classroom, huffing, all his classmates give him a questioning look and seeing that their teacher was also running late just like him, he throws his classmates off with a finger and walks over to his table, slamming his books on the desk.
"Can you maybe sit down a little quieter, please?" Jisoo, the teacher's pet, asks as she gives him a smile. Taehyung mocks her smile, "Can you maybe, shut the fuck up?" Her smile is immediately wiped off her face and she glares at him, collecting her things and walking over to the other side of the room, wanting to sit away from Taehyung as possible.
"Dramatic bitch." Taehyung murmurs, opening his textbook to try and scan his notes last minute. "Woah, what got your panties in a twist?" Jimin asks, suddenly sitting beside him. He drapes an arm over Taehyung's shoulders and smile smugly at which Taehyung glares at him for. "Stop smiling or I'll make you."
"Okay, seriously. Why're you such a bitch today? It's only 8 am."
"Long morning." Taehyung groans, putting his face in his hands, "Don't ask. I think I'm starting to have 87 year old back pains."
Jimin chuckles beside him, amused and pats his shoulders comfortingly. "What class do you have after this?" He asks and Taehyung looks up, trying to remember his schedule.I'm pretty sure I have english 101? or was it history? I'm not sure, why?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to invite you to watch a movie."
Taehyung looks over to him, his attention caught immediately with the mention of 'movie'. "Oh? What are we watching?"
"Hoseok said they decided to go with maleficent." Taehyung furrows his brows at the mention of a familiar name. "Hoseok?" Jimin bites down on his lip, suddenly looking nervous. "Uh, yeah... He invited me and I asked if I could bring a friend and he told me it was okay... Will you go with me?"
Honestly, how could Taehyung say no to that face? Jimin was pulling out his puppy dog eyes and a pout pushed past his lower lip. Taehyung feels a million needles pierce through his heart at the sight of his best friend.
"Okay, fine." Jimin smiles widely but before he can react more, their professor walks in, silencing the class. Jimin scoots over closer to Taehyung who gives him a questioning look, "Oh, he also told me to bring some swimming trunks. You should do that too."
+++
Hoseok's house was as big as he remembered from back then in the party. He and Jimin walks over through the foyer and lets a maid guide them to where the cinema room was located. Yeah, Taehyung and his parent's are rich. But they weren't this rich.
Inside, the two best friends spot five other heads. The people already inside were talking animatedly and when the doors close, they all notice and turn around. Taehyung feels his heart leap from his chest to his stomach when he spots Jungkook sitting at the very last part of the seats. The elder seems equally surprised.
"Jimin! Taehyung! We were just about to start! You can sit anywhere you want." Hoseok says, smiling warmly at them.
Jimin starts pulling Taehyung through the aisle and was about to lead him to sit near Yoongi, where Jimin is planning to sit, but a hand tugs on Taehyung wrist. He looks down to see Jungkook's hand around it. "Hey, Jungkook."
The younger one still has his eyes on the screen, so after Taehyung acknowledges him, he looks up and smiles. His smile is one of those cute but also attractive smiles that pull on Taehyung's heartstrings.
"Come sit next to me." Jungkook invites, and Taehyung looks back at Jimin who has already let go of his hand. He ushers for Taehyung to go and sit next to Jungkook and without any other complaints, Taehyung plops his cute ass down on the empty seat beside Jungkook.
Since the mini cinema was a bit big and could accommodate about fifty people, the seven of them were seated away and apart from each other, seeming like the couples had their own little space. Namjoon and Jin sat at the right side in the front, Hoseok, Jimin and Yoongi sat in the middle and He and Jungkook sitting at the very back right corner.
"So. Maleficent, huh?" Taehyung trues making conversation but cringes at his weak attempt.
"Yeah, Hobi hyung's sort of a Disney freak. I hope you don't mind." Jungkook whispers, smiling sheepishly at Taehyung who smiles widely back. "Are you kidding me? Disney movies are the OG especially on dates." Taehyung says, leaning his back to the seat as he places his hand on the armrests.
A hand touches his ever so lightly and he turns to face Jungkook who's still looking at him. "This feels like a date, don't you think?" Taehyung feels his face heat up, thank god that the room is dark and the only light provided is from the projector to the screen.
Halfway into the movie, Taehyung feels a hand on his. He looks over to see Jungkook already staring at him. His eyes seemed so glisten despite the dark surroundings. "Your eyes always look like they're sparkling..." Taehyung whispers, not wanting to interrupt the others from the movie.
"Many people told me about how pretty my eyes look... Do you agree with them?" Taehyung gulps at how intense Jungkook was staring at him. He seemed like he was about to get sucked in a rabbit hole.
Yeah, I agree with them. Everything about you is pretty. Taehyung wanted to say, but was too much of a coward to speak up. Instead of answering, Taehyung smiles and turns his head to face the screen, forcing himself to focus on the movie.
Throughout the whole film, Jungkook doesn't bother him anymore. It causes Taehyung to feel slightly crest-fallen, but he shrugs off the feeling. He doesn't get to feel like that.
"Anyone up for dinner?" Hoseok asks and everyone seems to agree with the question.
They all end up swimming an hour after dinner. Warm smiles and joyful laughter echoed throughout the night. Taehyung never felt so happy ever since he started college.
+++
"You look like you're about to eat our brains." Taehyung glares at Jimin and his comment. Yeah, Taehyung may have messy hair and really bad dark circles and blood shot eyes, yeah, he may look like he's ready to consume every single person's brain in this room, yeah, he may look undead, but that's all because of that stupid night swimming.
"If you hadn't invited and persuaded me to go to that dinner I wouldn't have stayed up all night trying to memorise and study for this test that I didn't even know we were going to have." Jimin blows out a low whistle at Taehyung rude tone and sits down beside him, pulling out his notebook.
"Well, I, someone who actually checks my emails, know that Mr. Choi is sick and our test next meeting. Which is like- two days from now." Taehyung almost sings out to the gods after hearing this. He bangs his forehead down on his desk, closing his eyes. "Thank God!" He exclaims, catching a few of his classmates' attention.
Soon after, he's standing up to collect his things, Jimin giving him a questioning look. "Where are you going?" He asks, "I don't have classes after this until at three pm today. So I'mma dip and see ya later." Taehyung flashes Jimin a peace sign before dashing out of the room, already imaging how comfortable he would be on his soft bed and warm duvets. The fact that he only had about two hours to give for his bed before he went to his classes is beyond him.
Just when he steps out the building, just when he feels at peace, just when everything around him is quiet and tranquil, he hears the sounds of pained groans and fists hitting on something.
Taehyung, being someone who cares very much about his well-being and wants nothing to do with street fights, especially those that occur near or even at the university he attends to, sticks it's nose to it's place and not try to look whoever was getting their shit beat up.
But something about this one...something's definitely up. Taehyung has this feeling in his gut that tells him to go and look, find out who's getting hurt. With a soft sigh, he turns on his heels, slowly jogging his way to a wall which he uses to hide himself with. He peeks his head slightly to the side.
He sees that there are five, six college guys in the abandoned parking lot of their uni. "Mind your own business and stop hanging around him. He's mine. I'll do whatever it takes for him to be mine again! Even if I have to hurt him-" a punch silences the man and Taehyung winces, the punch looked like it hurt so much that Taehyung can practically feel it on his stomach.
Taehyung sees the man crouch over, coughing up blood. "You talk about him like he's an object- he's not. Taehyung is his own person and if he wants you to stay away from him, stay away from him." Taehyung narrows his eyes at the man standing, crouching over to speak at the hurt man kneeling on the ground, the one he punched.
"He's all but a bitch! He couldn't even strip for my friends, how useless could he be to me?" The man on the ground chuckles, making the man in front of him punch him square on the face. The man's body roughly hits the ground. He opens his eyes and they meet with Taehyung's. "Woah! Speak of the devil and he shall appear!" Baehyun yells.
Then Taehyung pieces it all together. The Taehyung they were talking about, was him! All that shit Baekhyun spat was all about him. His eyes pan to the man in front of his ex boyfriend and they widen at the sight of Jungkook, who looks just as shocked as Taehyung is.
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook demands, but before Taehyung could answer, Baekhyun is getting up, sending a punch straight at Jungkook's gut. The younger man stutters back and Taehyung loses control of his body, he runs over to the two men, ignoring the calls of the other guys around them.
"Don't fucking hurt him!" Taehyung yells, pulling at Barkhyun's fist. Now, Taehyung really wishes he went to the gym and tried to develop his muscles. It would have been very good help.
Baekhyun sneers at him and turns around, about to punch Taehyung instead but the staff door that leads to their gymnasium opens, revealing coach Khol. "Why are students fighting?!" He yells and Taehyung takes this opportunity to hit Barkhyun's stomach as hard as he can, sending the elder one stepping a few steps back. Taehyung hurries over to Jungkook, helping him up, getting away from the coach as quickly as possible.
They soon reach Taehyung's house and since Taehyung's parents weren't at home, they didn't have to go through the trouble of explaining why Jungkook looks like complete and utter shit right now.
"Sit on the couch, I'll go grab the medicine kit." Taehyung says, striding over to his mother's office. He comes back with a red and white colored box in hand and Jungkook readjusts his seating to give Taehyung enough space to treat him.
"What the hell were you thinking, picking a fight with Baekhyun like that?" Taehyung asks, his eyes low on Jungkook's wounded and bloody knuckles. "You heard what he said about you. I couldn't just stand there and let him talk about you like that." Jungkook explains, watching Taehyung every move as the man covers his hands with alcohol before taking out a cotton ball, drenching it with alcohol.
"Yes, you could. Let him talk about me all he wants, just don't get yourself hurt-"
"Bullshit! I could never!" Jungkook is fuming with anger, not because of Taehyung, but because of what he's saying. Jungkook couldn't and wouldn't let anyone talk shit about his boyfriend Taehyung like that.
Taehyung looks up at him with a warning look before sighing heavily, softly pressing the wet cotton ball on the wounds. Jungkook hisses at the slight pain, "Don't start acting like a pussy now. You did this to yourself." Taehyung continues cleaning up the wound, after which he carefully places an ointment and then finishing off by wrapping it with bandage.
"You know, my mother always did something after patching up my wound. It helped with the healing process very much." Jungkook speaks up and Taehyung's eyebrows raise at this, "Really? What did she do?" Taehyung asks.
Jungkook leans forward with a soft smile, looking into Taehyung's galaxy eyes. "She kissed it better." Taehyung breath hitches as he takes a deep breath, forgetting how to breathe for a moment.
"Wha-"
"Will you kiss it better for me, Taehyung?" Jungkook's voice is soft and low, causing a shiver to run up Taehyung's spine. He looks back into Jungkook's eyes before his gaze slowly lowers itself to the man's lips, unconsciously running his wet tongue between his lips. "Wh-what are you? Twelve? Why do you need me to kiss your wound?" Taehyung asks, looking away with furrowed brows so Jungkook wouldn't be able to see the furious blush that ran across his face.
"Cause. I need it to heal better and faster." Jungkook's slightly pouting at this point and Taehyung doesn't know why he couldn't say no. He looks at Jungkook before sighing. "A peck. A quick peck, that's it." Taehyung says and a smile breaks out Jungkook's face, making Taehyung's insides go into frenzy.
Jungkook brings his bandaged hand up, looking at it then looking back at Taehyung, signalling him to do it. Taehyung grumbles, looking to the side as he slowly dips his lips down, kissing the bandage softly before pulling away, not looking at Jungkook.
"Hmm, my lips hurt because of talking to an idiot like him. Kiss it better?" Jungkook asks, jutting his lower lip out as he gives Taehyung his best puppy dog eyes. Taehyung simply looks at him ridiculously, lifting an eyebrow. "Are you crazy? I'm not doing that."
"Aw, come on Tae! Arguing with idiots is really tiring and can hurt!" Taehyung knows Jungkook's not being logical at the moment, but also is he when he starts to consider actually kissing the jutted out lips of the said boy. His eyes pan on the pink lips, his gaze hovering over them before sighing.
You've got to be insane, actually considering kissing this boy.
Taehyung scolds himself, pushing the voice back. "Just a peck." Taehyung says, still not looking over at Jungkook. In his peripheral vision, however, Taehyung sees Jungkook's pout break out into a grin and Taehyung has to physically restrain himself from mirroring the man's contagious smile.
After a few moments, he finally looks at Jungkook. Giving himself a pep talk, Taehyung slowly leans in, their lips inches away. Before the two of them could finally feel the soft, sweet lips of the other, two voices are heard from outside the door, making the two men freeze with their actions.
The door opens and Jungkook stands up too quickly, he feels his head go light, making him stumble. Taehyung jumps off his seat, placing his hands in front of him as he looks at his parents like he wasn't almost caught about to kiss a boy.
"Oh! Taehyung, you're home early." His mother points out, bringing in two grocery bags from outside. Jungkook quickly walks over to take the bags from the woman's hands, slightly catching the woman off guard. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Kim." Jungkook says, bowing politely. Mrs. Kim smiles widely, "Ah, Jungkook! You're here too?" Jungkook can only nod before turning around, walking over to the kitchen to place the grocery bags on the counter.
Taehyung's father follows not long after, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Jungkook walking out of the kitchen. The bandaged boy smiles and bows politely at him. "Good afternoon, Mr. Kim."
"Good afternoon, Jungkook. Taehyung, why are you letting your guest bring the grocery bags? Where are your manners?" Taehyung could only open his mouth in shock and to protest, and Jungkook chuckles softly, covering his mouth with his bandaged hand.
"Oh, sweetie. What happened to your hand? Did you get into a fight?" Taehyung mother asks, gently taking Jungkook's hand in hers. Taehyung expects Jungkook to lie but, "Yeah, some kids were saying something bad about Taehyung and I got angry. I had to punch the daylights out of them to teach them a lesson. It's my friend they're talking about, you know?" Mrs. Kim smiles warmly at Jungkook.
"Thank you for sticking up for our son. Please, stay over for dinner." Jungkook quickly shakes his head in protest, "Oh, please, this will be the second time I'll be eating dinner with you. I wouldn't want to get in the way of some family time." Jungkook says.
"Nonsense! Who told you that? Taehyung?" Mr. Kim exclaims, looking at Taehyung who furrows his brows, "I'm just standing here! I didn't even do anything!" Taehyung protests.
"We're having grilled meat for dinner, my husband put too much meat in the basket. Please, stay and eat. We also bought too many bottles of beer." Mrs. Kim chuckles and Jungkook caves in, nodding. "Okay, but I get to help with cooking and washing the dishes, though."
"I can't believe they let you eat every time you're here." Taehyung grumbles, washing the vegetables and Jungkook laughs beside him, peeling the cabbage. "They love me already." He chuckles.
Taehyung stays quiet for a moment, letting the water flow freely over the vegetables without rubbing them. "About what happened a while ago..." Taehyung starts and he sees Jungkook also freeze beside him.
"Jungkook-"
"Sorry, if I made you uncomfortable, Taehyung. I shouldn't have asked you to do something so...weird."
Yes, it was weird. But Taehyung wasn't uncomfortable at all. He was shocked and flustered, but not uncomfortable.
Taehyung opens his mouth to say something but Jungkook only cuts him off for the second time again, "I won't ask you to kiss me again, I promise." Then Jungkook goes back to peeling his cabbage, leaving Taehyung speechless.
The thing is, Taehyung actually wanted Jungkook to kiss him. He wanted Jungkook to ask him to kiss him again, cause Taehyung knows he's too much of a pussy to do it himself. He wants to kiss Jungkook, a hundred percent sure that Jungkook also wants to kiss him.
+++
"Jimin, is it weird if you wanna kiss a person you only ever met in like...two weeks?" Taehyung asks, pouting his lower lip as he rests his chin on his palm, his hand supported by his forearm and his elbow on the table.
It has been a week since the 'almost kiss incident' happened and after it, Jungkook's been distant with Taehyung. Yeah, he was still there with him when they walked around campus, was there to wait for Taehyung and take him to his classes. But despite being so close (like a foot away) Taehyung felt like Jungkook was a thousand miles away. Like he couldn't reach him.
Jimin looks up from his phone with furrowed brows. They were two currently in Jin's cafe once again, sipping on their boba infused milktea. "Why are you asking?"
Taehyung looks up at him and sighs defeatedly to which Jimin gasps at. "This is about Jungkook, isn't it?"
When Taehyung nods softly, Jimin starts jumping up and down in glee, squealing loudly. Although it's only the two of them in the cafe, Jin still shushes them both to which Taehyung smiles apologetically at him.
"Can you please calm down? Sit or I won't tell you anything." Jimin quickly sits his phat ass on the chair, leaning over to maybe hear Taehyung better.
"Long story short, he got into a fight with Baekhyun and I patched him up and he told me to kiss his wound better. He also told me his lips hurt too so I should kiss it better too and-" Taehyung cuts himself off, feeling the need to sigh loudly and dramatically. "My parents interrupted us and we didn't get to kiss and he told me he wouldn't ask to kiss me again and he's sorry for making me uncomfortable." Taehyung says, pouting right after.
"Awee, I'm sorry, Taehyung." Jimin coos, patting on Taehyung's hair. "But that's the problem, Jiminie. I wasn't at all uncomfortable. Just- flustered. I was flustered. I wanted to kiss him and now he's distancing himself from me cause maybe he thinks I'll do better off without him- which is entirely wrong. I'm doing horrible. What do I do, Jimin?" His best friend only chuckles at him before retreating his hand.
"Well, there are two things that you should do." Taehyung perks up at this, "What?"
"First, you should admit that you've fallen for him." Jimin isn't surprised when Taehyung furrows his brows, about to deny his feelings, but the taller man closes his mouth back and stays silent for a moment, probably thinking.
Taehyung takes a deep breath, "I like Jungkook. I've fallen for Jungkook." He says, smiling when he feels how correct it feels, how correct the statements feel when they roll off Taehyung's tongue.
"That's good. Second, go and ask him out on a date." Taehyung begins to furiously shake his head 'no'. Jimin clicks on his tongue and crosses his arms, "Ask him out, Taehyung." Jimin may look like the sweetest, cutest and smallest person alive, but he can be very scary, dark and intimidating when he wants to be.
Taehyung pulls his phone out of his pocket and his fingers hover over the keyboard. Before he starts typing, a message bubble appears, telling him that Jungkook is typing something. He sucks in a breath and waits patiently, wanting to know what Jungkook's about to tell him.
A million of negative thoughts run through his head but they are all blocked out the moment Taehyung receives the message.
From: Spawn of Satan >:(
Wanna go out on an ice cream date with me?
Taehyung smiles stupidly as he quickly types out his response.
To: Spawn of Satan >:(
Sure. But why though?
From: Spawn of Satan >:(
Wanna tell you something
Although Taehyung head may be coming up with the dumbest and most ridiculous ideas right now, Taehyung still manages to get it together and actually type a response. Jungkook tells him that he'll meet Taehyung at Jin's cafe and when Taehyung tells him he's already here, Jungkook tells him to just wait there for a few minutes.
"Welp. I guess I'm of no help now. Have fun on your date, or whatever it is." Jimin says, clapping his small hands together before getting up. When Taehyung opens his mouth to protest, Jimin shushes him, "I'm not third wheeling on your first date. Plus, I have like, two quizzes tomorrow. Bye!"
Just as Jimin leaves the cafe, the door opens once again and Taehyung turns around, smiling when he sees a panting Jungkook. "Did you run all the way here?" Taehyung asks, "Yeah, didn't want to keep you waiting." Taehyung blushes at this and doesn't even try to hide it.
"Where are we getting our ice cream?" Taehyung asks, standing up as he collects his belongings. Jungkook only stretches out his hand, "Trust me?" He asks. Taehyung looks at the hand before taking a deep breath, holding onto it. "I trust you."
"Why did I trust you again?" Taehyung asks, whining at the situation they're currently in. "Oh, stop being dramatic! This is fun!" Jungkook exclaims, laughing at Taehyung horrified face.
"Hanging upside down from a roller coaster is not fun Jeon!" Taehyung yells at the top of his lungs, his hands squeezing his seat tightly in an attempt to avoid himself from falling off the ride.
The two men rode a bus thirty minutes away from where they agreed to meet up. The story behind the fact that they're both hanging off the earth like a bat is that Jungkook thought it would be a good idea to ride a rollercoaster in where they get a free cone of ice cream after the ride.
The cart slowly begins to accelerate but Taehyung still doesn't trust the seatbelts, so he continues to grip on them tightly. "It's not that scary." Jungkook points out, rolling his eyes. He looks at Taehyung who's giving him a scary glare to which Jungkook gulps nervously at. "Uhh- do you wanna...hold my hand?" He asks and Taehyung doesn't give it a second thought, he takes Jungkook's soft hand and squeezes it, bringing it to his chest as he squeeze his eyes shut.
The ride ends in a few more twists and turns and when they are told to get off the cart, Taehyung feels the whole world begin to turn. He stumbles a few steps to the side, bumping into Jungkook who catches him quickly.
"Woah, you okay? Do you wanna sit down?" Jungkook asks worriedly to which Taehyung nods his head at. They find a near bench and Taehyung practically lays down, occupying the whole seat. Jungkook chuckles at him, "I'll go get our ice creams."
When Jungkook comes back, Taehyung has collected himself already and is currently scrolling through his phone. "Sorry it took so long, it was pretty crowded." Taehyung's head snaps up at Jungkook's voice, looking at the man before his gaze jumps at the two black ice creams in white cones.
"That's cool! What's the flavor?" Taehyung chirps, a wide grin spreading across his face. He takes his ice cream and immediately licks the side, the flavor of sweet coconuts erupting in his mouth.
"Mmmmm," Taehyung moans, "Definitely didn't expect it to taste like this..." Jungkook is nodding beside him, licking on his own ice cream. "They told me the flavor is because of the coconut milk, and the color is from the activated charcoal."
They finish eating their ice creams but not after laughing at each other's black stained teeth and lips.
"Do you wanna go for pasta or burgers?" Taehyung pouts his lower lip and looks up, having a silent debate with himself since both options sound so delicious. "Hmmmmm burgers."
So they end up walking over to a food truck, Jungkook telling Taehyung to find them both an empty bench to sit on while he orders their food. Taehyung obediently walks over to an empty bench, looking up at the light blue sky with orange and yellow streaks of sunlight. He didn't notice how fast time went by with just spending time with Jungkook- he doesn't regret anything.
He smiles to himself as he thinks about the events that occurred in just a few hours.
I wish it could be like this all the time.
"What are you doing sitting all alone, pretty?" A deep voice asks, snapping Taehyung out of his daze. He's met with four men towering over him, smiling at him with mischievous glints in their eyes.
Taehyung stands up and carefully moves to get out of the situation, feeling his heartbeat increase when one of them wraps a hand around Taehyung's wrist, pulling him back. "We were talking to you respectfully. Wouldn't it be impolite if you didn't reply to us in the same manner?" The grip around his wrist was tight and Taehyung is too weak to loosen it. He may be tall, but he's a weak boy, sometimes even frail.
"Didn't he tell you to let go?" Jungkook's voice comes booming from behind the four men, surprising them all- even Taehyung.
Jungkook is angry, no, cross that, he's livid. Taehyung could see their orders sitting on the counter of the food truck, but he pays them no mind. He's too focused on how scary Jungkook looks when he's mad. But he's also really really hot when he's mad for Taehyung.
"Who are you supposed to be, kid? His boyfriend?" The man gripping on Taehyung wrist asks, smirking. Jungkook grabs Taehyung's forearm softly and grips tightly on the other man's wrist, ripping his hand off of Taehyung. "Yes, I'm his boyfriend. Now go fuck off before I do something not so kid-friendly." Jungkook growls at the man and Taehyung could see how his gaze darkens while looking at the man. The four of them click their tongues before turning around to walk away.
Jungkook breathes out a deep sigh, turning to cup either side of Taehyung's face. He looks at Taehyung, searching for something in his face, and then down his body. "Are you alright? Did they hurt you in any way?" Jungkook asks, sounding like he's almost in panic.
"You were so hot." Taehyung breathes out obliviously, causing Jungkook to blush a deep red. "I- what?" Taehyung snaps out of his daze and it's his turn to blush in embarrassment. How could he say that in front of the boy? Fucking idiot!
"I'm- I'm sorry! I didn't know why I said that- I'm so sorry-" Taehyung stammers but is quickly cut off by Jungkook's loud laughter. "Kim Taehyung," he says, "You think I'm hot?"
It's that lazy grin and cocky look in his eyes that pull the trigger- shooting butterflies inside Taehyung's stomach. His blush deepens even more and if he tries, he could cook an egg on his face.
"Sh-shut up! You just misheard it!" Taehyung denies, looking down to hide his red face. Jungkook laughs loudly again, capturing a number of people's attention as they walk by the two men. Jungkook wraps an arm around Taehyung's shoulders, looking at him with a tight-lipped smile.
"Let's go, our food might get cold."
+++
It's the next day later that Taehyung realises Jungkook's never told him what he wanted to tell him, and he really wants to know now. So he pulls out his cellphone and texts the guy.
To: Spawn of Satan >:(
Didn't you say you wanted to tell me something, that's why you invited me for ice cream?

From: Spawn of Satan >:(
only for you ;))
Taehyung smiles stupidly at his phone before pocketing it, now too excited as he practically jogs to where the cafeteria is.
He sits down on an empty seat, smiling at the guys who are already busy talking. They are all arguing over which Mean Girls movie was better, the first or the second one. Taehyung prefers the first one.
"So our festival days begin next week on Monday..." Jungkook starts, looking down at his food as he plays with his ketchup and mayo, mixing them together with one french fry. "Do you...maybe wanna be my festival days buddy?" He finally looks up to Taehyung, innocent, wide doe eyes looking like they carry the whole universe inside them.
Taehyung smiles shyly and before he can answer, Hoseok cuts in. "Ohoho! Shooting your shot, ey Jungkook?" He teases, hitting Jungkook's back hardly, making the younger one grunt. "Shut up." Jungkook says, shooing his hyung away with a hand. He looks back at Taehyung with hopeful eyes. "Well?"
And with the look he's giving him, who is Taehyung to say no, actually? He nods silently, watching a smile break on Jungkook's face. "Really? I mean- I'm not forcing you or anything-"
"Jungkook. Yes. Now stop rambling before I change my mind." Taehyung snaps jokingly, chuckling as Jungkook 'zips' his mouth.
"Awwee, the two of you look like a real couple." Jin coos, taking a scoop of yogurt in his mouth.
It's the elder's statement that reminds Taehyung that, oh yeah, right. This is all pretend. He looks back at Jungkook who's furrowing his eyebrows in protest. Taehyung has fallen for Jungkook, but did he fall for Taehyung back? What if Taehyung's just reading too much into this? What if Jungkook's not actually interested in him? What if-
"If you were given a choice to be born blind, slowly lose your eyesight or be in an accident that results to you being blind, which one would you chose?" Yoongi asks, making the whole group go silent. "Yoongi what the fuck?" Namjoon asks in confusion.
"What? It's a sincere question. Well?" Yoongi demands an answer. Jin is quick to give him one, "I'd choose to not be blind cause I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity in having to stare at this beautiful face for hours in the mirror." He says, caressing his own cheeks softly.
"Yah. You're not even a student anymore. Go back to your cafe." Hoseok says, earning a smack on the head by Jin with his spoon.
++
The days come by in a flash and soon enough, Taehyung is waking up to the sound of fireworks blowing off outside his house. He groans and pulls his duvet up his head, a weak attempt to block out the noise.
"Honey!" Taehyung groans at his mother's voice. "Honey, wake up! Your friend is here to pick you up." His mother says, opening his door and Taehyung groans for the second time that morning, "Which friend?" Taehyung asks, his voice muffled by the thick cloth. "Jungkook."
Taehyung sits up quickly, he gets lightheaded for a moment. "What? Why? What time is it?" Taehyung asks, looking around to find his alarm clock.
9:28 am.
"Shit!" Taehyung yells, jumping off his bed. He remembers that Jungkook texted him last night, telling him he'll be picking him up at 9:30.
"Mom, let him in! Tell him I'll quickly take a shower and then we can leave!" Taehyung yells, running over to his bathroom. He's quick to rub on some soap and mix shampoo and conditioner in one hand, lathering the substance on his hair. As the soap on his body rinses off and the conditioner(mixed with shampoo) sets on his hair, he does his skincare. Which only consists of washing his face with three facial soaps. He rinses his hair and face off of any soap and quickly reaches for a towel, drying his body with it.
He opens the door, regretting it for a moment mainly because the cold air from his AC makes him feel like he's going to get frostbite, but also because he just walked out of the shower, still dripping wet, with only a towel covering half of his body, as Jungkook sits on his bed. The man is frozen, probably shocked at the sight he's seeing right now.
"I'm- sorry." Taehyung quickly takes a random blouse, some slacks and some underwear before heading back inside his comfort room.
He walks out wearing a white button up flowy blouse tucked in his black slacks. "I'm so sorry, Jungkook. I overslept." Taehyung apologises, walking over to his desk. "What are you doing?" Jungkook asks, walking over to his side. He bends over to look at Taehyung through the mirror. "Putting on make up."
"May I do it for you?"
"But we're already late, Jungkook. Didn't you say you had a whole day planned for the both of us? I wouldn't wanna waste all your planning." Taehyung pouts and Jungkook quickly shakes his head, smiling sweetly at him. "Nonsense. Now come on, let me put make up on you." Jungkook says, turning Taehyung to face him.
Jungkook softly and carefully puts on a thin layer of foundation on Taehyung face with a cushion, covering up the man's acne marks, dark circles and uneven skin tone. "I don't know why you put these stuff on. If you ask me, I'd say you look better without any make up on. Call me cheesy, but it is what it is." Jungkook says, shrugging his shoulders.
He puts the cushion foundation on the table, waiting for Taehyung to hand him the next product which was an eyeshadow palette. Jungkook knows how to do this- you place a dark shade on the outer corner of the eye then take a lighter color, dabbing it on the inner part. Then take a shiny shade and apply it over the lighter color. And that's exactly what Jungkook does.
"By better, you mean...?" Taehyung asks, "You look...softer. More adorable. I don't know, I like to see the moles you have on your face, especially this one on the tip of your nose. They're adorable..." Taehyung holds his breath in, waiting for Jungkook to finish his sentence, maybe add in another phrase or whatever to continue whatever he's saying. But Jungkook doesn't do so. He finishes Taehyung's eye look and puts the palette down, smiling at his work.
Taehyung doesn't give him the blush immediately, pausing like he's some sort of computer that has caught a virus.
"I heard this blush smells exactly like peaches." Jungkook says after Taehyung hands him a peach colored single blush. He brings it up to his nose, scrunching it up. "Hmm, it does. Smile for me." Jungkook says after dabbing Taehyung fluffy blush on the product softly, making sure he doesn't break it. Taehyung follows as told, smiling.
As Jungkook applies the powder on Taehyung's cheeks, the other man can't help but feel all warm inside. Staring at Jungkook who looks so focused- Taehyung finds him absolutely adorable. The way his eyebrows scrunch and his lips part slightly.
When Jungkook finishes, Taehyung hands him three lippies. "Choose." Taehyung says, holding up the three almost similar shades of red. Instead of choosing either of the three, Jungkook takes a flat balm from the table, holding it up. "This one."
"Want me looking like I haven't ate the whole day?" Jungkook simply chuckles at him before pushing the three lippies down. "I like your natural lip color better."
Jungkook sprays on some alcohol on his hands found on Taehyung desk before dabbing a finger on the product. "Come closer." Jungkook ushers Taehyung.
Holy fuck, he's going to touch my lips.
Taehyung feels his stomach twist and turn and do multiple somersaults at the thought of Jungkook touching his lips. God, he really hopes they aren't chapped right now. He gulps nervously before slowly leaning in, pouting his lips for Jungkook to apply some lip balm on them.
Jungkook stops for a moment, his gaze and finger hovering over Taehyung already red lips. They look so tempting, so...kissable. He wonders if they're as soft as he imagine them to be. Jungkook presses his finger on Taehyung's lower lip, having to physically stop himself from breathing too hard.
Get yourself together, Jungkook. Are you seriously freaking out over applying balm over Taehyung's lips?
Yes, yes he is.
He quickly finishes applying the product, feeling like this whole thing continued for a whole hour. He stands up from where he was kneeling and pretends to stretches his arms, trying to hide the soft blush that spreads across his face.
"Umm, ready to go?" Jungkook asks nervously. Taehyung stands up, spraying on some perfume before nodding. The two head out the house together, hopping on Jungkook's car, driving off to their uni.
When they get there, the university is packed as hell. People who aren't even students of the school are walking all over the place, visiting booth after booth.
"Umm, do you wanna hold my hand?" Jungkook asks and Taehyung gives him a questioning look, "So we wouldn't get separated, of course! You can always so no if you don't want to-" Taehyung cuts Jungkook's rambling off by holding onto his hand. He smiles at the partly shocked male and begins to drag him towards the crowd, "Come on! I wanna visit that stuffed toy booth Jimin told me about."
They visit many booths, eat many different kinds of food and win each other many, many prizes that include stuffed toys, pocket books and cellphone cases.
"Jungkook! Taehyung!" A feminine voice calls the two men over to one booth painted in pink. "Hey Sana! What's your booth?" Taehyung asks, leaning over to the counter.
"Handcuffs! You get handcuffed to someone of your choice and you have to go through multiple obstacles together! You then get a prize at the end if you cross the finish line first!" Taehyung smiles nervously at her, unsure if he should participate or not. Before he can turn down the offer, Jungkook sets a bill on the counter. "We'll play."
"Amazing! You're the last couple we need!" Sana chirps, taking handcuffs from the (Taehyung presumes) drawer of the booth. She locks them on Taehyung and Jungkook's wrists.
"You sure you wanna do this? I don't wanna force you into anything." Taehyung says, letting Jungkook lead the way. "You're not forcing anyone. Let's play, yeah?" Jungkook's smile is sweet until he glances over to the other couples, "And show these losers who they're competing with against."
Taehyung laughs loudly at Jungkook but nods nonetheless.
The obstacles were not at all difficult to do. One where you have to feed your partner, another one where you have to find a certain toy in a ball pit, and many others. The two of the surprisingly crosses the finish line minutes before the other couples do.
"Congrats! You two won! The prizes are two free meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Only could be claimed during the festival days, though! Thank you for joining and come again! Don't forget to tell your friends about us!" Sana exclaims happily, waving goodbye to Jungkook and Taehyung's retreating figures.
"That was fun." Jungkook points out, looking over to Taehyung who's busy caressing his wrist. Jungkook stops walking, taking Taehyung hands in his, "What's wrong? Was it the handcuff?" Jungkook asks, inspecting Taehyung's wrist which is red and covered in blisters.
"She put it on too tightly." Taehyung chuckles awkwardly. Jungkook has this frown on his face that doesn't sit well with Taehyung. "Hey, what's wrong?" Taehyung asks.
"We're going to Jin's. He has a medical kit and-"
"Woah, calm down. This is for away from my kidneys. I'll live, don't worry too much."
Jungkook looks absolutely distraught, as if this small wound is bothering him so much. "Seriously. What's wrong? It's just a wound." Taehyung says, "I just...Don't want you getting hurt."
Something inside Taehyung tells him that this isn't just a 'concern friend' but he's quick to brush the thought away, not wanting to lead himself on. "You're being really weird right now. You sure you're okay?" Jungkook shakes his head, "No, not when you have a wound and we're not doing anything about it."
"Oh come on, Guk! It's just a wound!" Taehyung laughs at how dumb this whole argument is. "We're still going to Jin's. Come on." Taehyung gives in and lets Jungkook pull him to wherever Jin's booth is located. He looks down at their interlocked fingers, blushing at how 'couple' they look together. How he wishes 'they' were a legit thing.
"And he was freaking out about the irritated skin! Like, Jimin, mind you my skin was red because it was irritated and it wasn't wounded at all!" Taehyung exclaims as he throws himself on his bed. He's been on the phone with Jimin for almost an hour now, talking to him about what happened early in the day.
"Tae, see? He's concerned for you, you should just shoot your shot! And don't give me pussy excuses like 'oh I didn't get the chance to tell him' or 'I was busy doing something' cause I know damn well you don't have anything exciting going on in your life except Jungkook."
Taehyung ends the call cause he's petty and doesn't like the fact that Jimin can read him like an open book. He knows he should tell Jungkook how he feels, there's this eighty something chance that it will cause something beautiful to bloom between the two men. But it's the twenty-something chance that he might get turned down that pulls him back.
His phone rings again and he answers the call on the first ring.
"So when are you actually gonna tell him?"
Taehyung pauses for a moment, thinking of when, the perfect time in the perfect place. He doesn't want to spill the beans on Jungkook in the middle of their 'booth hopping', nor does he want to be too late when telling Jungkook.
Suddenly, there's a lightbulb that lights up right above Taehyung's head.
"So you know how the uni does a firework show at the end of every festival?" Taehyung chuckles when he hears Jimin sigh loudly in the other line.
"Yeah and it gets crowded as fuck. People act like they haven't seen firework before! Please don't tell me you're planning to confess to him on the last day."
"That's exactly what I'm planning. And I need your help."
"My help? I mean, sure? What can I do for you?"
"I need you to keep the door leading to the rooftop unlocked."
There's silence at the other end before Jimin snickers.
"Kim Taehyung you cheesy bitch."
+++
It's the second day of the university's festival days and Taehyung is pretty excited, knowing about Jungkook's plans for the two of them.
He got them escape room tickets, wall climbing tickets and two gift certificates for the temporary dog cafe installed in one of the classrooms exclusively for the festival days.
Taehyung's heart races and his cheeks flush at the thought- getting all those must have been such a hassle for Jungkook's part. And to think that this is all just...pretend. To make sure Taehyung has someone with him at all times, to make sure Baekhyun doesn't touch him again. His heart races, and breaks a little.
"You're zoning out. Am I that boring of a festival days buddy?" Jungkook nudges him by his elbow, pouting his lips against the straw for his milktea. Taehyung smiles warmly at him and chuckles, "I was just thinking of something."
Jungkook's pout slowly dissipates into a light frown, his eyebrows adorably knitting together softly. "If it's bothering you that much, you can always tell me. You know that, right?"
Taehyung just looks at Jungkook for a moment, stopping in his tracks.
Yes, of course Taehyung knows that. He wants to tell Jungkook. Want's to tell him how much Taehyung likes him, that he's fallen so hard for him that he can't get up.
"I know," Taehyung smiles and Jungkook's frown softens into a smile just like Taehyung's. "Anyways, what time does the escape room start? I'm really excited to go!" Taehyung practically jumps as he walks, making Jungkook giggle beside him.
Damn, that giggle sends a million of heart-shaped arrows to shoot right at Taehyung's heart.
"It starts in-" Jungkook checks his watch and Taehyung feels his stomach drop at the sight of Jungkook's smile drop. "-ten minutes! Start running!" Jungkook ushers him and Taehyung quickly picks up on his legs, following wherever Jungkook is going.
In a few minutes, they reach the venue for the escape room. Chills run down Taehyung's spine as he looks up at the old building. "They really just had to hold it in the science building, huh?" Jungkook shivers beside him.
"Don't worry." Jungkook says, his hand slowly creeping on Taehyung's. The man looks down at their now entwined hands with a questioning look. "I'll get us out of there."
A spark of competitiveness flickers inside Taehyung as he smirks. "Not if I can get us out of there first!"
After the escape room, Taehyung is all sorts of hungry. So Jungkook takes them to the temporary dog cafe.
"Hi baby!" Taehyung chirps, his voice high-pitched as he kneels down to play with the small pomeranian. Jungkook watches in awe at how adorable and soft Taehyung can be, especially with a dog in his arms. Jungkook can only imagine Taehyung holding an infant.
Slowly, Taehyung begins to get surrounded with more and more puppies and dogs, making him laugh. "They're so adorable! Jungkook, let's ditch on the wall climbing and stay here until we're forced to go out." Jungkook laughs at Taehyung and walks over to the counter, ordering for them.
"I want a strawberry cake please!" Taehyung sing-songs and Jungkook nods, ordering an original black coffee for him and vanilla milkshake and a slice of strawberry cake for Taehyung. He takes the tray full of their orders to an empty table and calls Taehyung over.
"Ah-ah. Go wash your hands first." Jungkook points at the restrooms, making Taehyung pout. "Oh come on! They are clean dogs! The owner wouldn't let them in the cafe if they weren't clean!" Taehyung starts to reason out, but Jungkook just shakes his head.
"They're still dogs, Taehyung. Go wash your hands or I'll eat this piece of strawberry on your cake." Taehyung dramatically gasps and narrows his eyes at Jungkook, "You wouldn't." He hisses.
"Try me." Jungkook smirks and Taehyung only gives him a 'hmph' followed by a sassy turn before walking over to the restroom.
He comes out a few minutes later smelling sweet, like vanillas and flowers. Jungkook looks up and sniffs on the air, wanting to know which omega smelled like that. "So...sweet..." Jungkook breathes out.
He and Taehyung are the only people in the cafe, even the staff were at the back room. There could only be one person, and Jungkook doesn't want to believe-
"Do you like it?" Taehyung chuckles at him, "Jiminie gave me this vanilla perfume. It smells super good, ugh. I'm in love."
Jungkook watches in shock as Taehyung sits down, taking his fork and digging into the pink cake.
He forgot. He completely forgot he wasn't human- that he wasn't like Taehyung.
Taehyung tilts his head to the side, "What's wrong Gukkie?" Jungkook snaps out of his gaze, palms sweating as he thinks of an excuse, a lie, anything. "I-I wanted to eat the strawberry!" Jungkook mentally face palms himself. Okay, at least Taehyung seems like he's buying it.
That is, until the other smirks and picks up the strawberry with his index finger and thumb, slowly bringing it up to his mouth. Then he bites on it, the whole fruit now inside his mouth.
"Okay, wow, you could have bit it in half and gave the other half to me." Jungkook says, watching Taehyung's face scrunch up. Then he moans. "Mmmmm, Gukkie~ It's so sweet!" He exclaims, his eyes opening up.
"Wanna try?"
"How? You ate the whole thing you-"
Jungkook immediately stops talking when Taehyung leans over to him, pulling him by his nape. Taehyung brings his face closer to Jungkook's in a matter of seconds and for a few minutes, their lips stay apart from each others in an inch or two, before Taehyung closes the gap between them.
Jungkook feels his whole chest exploding, the butterflies in his stomach making a tornado, the exploding sweetness of the strawberry being rubbed onto his tongue by Taehyung- it's all too much for him.
He feels his head go light and his eyes roll to the back of his head. Just when his hand reaches to comb through Taehyung soft hair, the other pulls away. The two of them gasp for wanted air, staring deeply into each other's eyes.
"What..." Jungkook breathes out, feeling like he's just ran a marathon. "What was that?" He asks.
Taehyung sits back down on his seat and smiles sweetly at him, as if nothing just happened. "Oh, you said you wanted to eat the strawberry but since I already ate it, I thought why not share and let you taste?"
The kiss definitely triggered something inside Jungkook, and he isn't sure if it's something good or bad.

Taehyung waited. The whole day. For Jungkook. The other just didn't show up.
That's how Taehyung found himself a sobbing mess, cheeks tear-stained and red, snot running down his nose as his hands shook to dial Jimin's number.
"Sup whore?"
"Wh-what-what d-did I do wr-wrong? I sh-shou-ouldn't have k-kissed hi-im!" Taehyung sobs into the phone, feeling his heart clench in pain.
"You're crying??? Why are you crying??? Who made you cry? And who the fuck did you kiss?"
"J-Jungk-kook! I k-kissed him a-and h-he didn't come t-to the fes-stival today! H-he hates m-me!"
"Oh god, Taehyung... Shit, I don't know how to tell you this...."
"T-tell me wh-what?"
"Just- stay put right there. And don't do anything reckless. I'll come over...and bring Jin and Namjoon.."
"Wh-why? Just bring yourself.."
"No, they have to tell you something important, Taehyung."
Taehyung mutters a soft 'okay' before three beeps are heard, signalling the end of the call. He curls himself up on his bed, holding his phone to his chest as if it were the most important thing to him right now.
Ten minutes later, Jimin is banging on the front door, making Taehyung groan. He doesn't wanna get up, he doesn't wanna do anything at all. He feels numb.
The front door opens and a small voice follows. "Taehyung? It's me, Jimin."
"Come in." Taehyung cringes at his rough voice, but it's better than leaving his friend by the door where the night is cold outside.
Multiple footsteps are heard climbing up the second floor of their house. His parents weren't home, it was a good chance for him to cry as hard and as loud as he wants to.
"Taehyung? We're coming in, okay?"
His door slowly moves open and in comes Jimin, Jin and Namjoon. They all softly frown at how miserable Taehyung looks. Eyes red and swollen from all the crying, nose and cheeks flushed and his whole body just looks...completely worn out, despite not doing anything for the whole day.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Jin asks, sitting on the space of Taehyung's bed. Jimin crawls over to his back, spooning him and Namjoon sits on the floor facing the three other men.
"I kissed Jungkook." Jin's eyes widen in surprise, including Namjoon's. "W-wow, okay. Well, that's good-"
"And he hates me for it." Jin frowns. "No, he doesn't. What makes you say that?"
"Well because!" Taehyung exclaims, sitting up immediately making Jimin fall off the bed with a loud thud. "After I kissed him yesterday, he acted all weird and seemed like he was trying to get away from me! And today he didn't call, nor text, nor send anyone to tell me he isn't going to see me today. And yeah, he didn't. He hates me."
Jin starts laughing, making Taehyung furrow his brows at him. Does Jin really think it's funny how Taehyung made a fool out of himself, waiting for Jungkook for five whole hours?
"Taehyung!" Jin laughs, "He doesn't hate you, God!"
"Explain why?"
Jin finally composes himself, smiling at Taehyung. "Remember what happened during Hoseok's party? Where we met by the cabin in the woods? You said you were carried by a wolf, right?" Taehyung slowly nods his head, still confused as hell.
"The Earth is one big place, Taehyung. It holds about seven billion something people. We haven't even explored all of the oceans yet, so-"
"What are you trying to say, hyung? Just tell me."
Jin holds onto Taehyung's hands, "I'm trying to say that there are many many beings and creatures out there that may seem like they only exist in fiction, but they also exist among us."
Taehyung laughs at this. "What are you trying to say, hyung? Goblins? Vampires? Werewolves? Please, I'm 22. I'm way passed my teen years to know that whatever you're saying aren't true." Taehyung chuckles with a raised brow, "And old enough to guess that you've been smoking weed?"
Jin furrows his eyebrows at Taehyung and slaps his hand, making the younger of the two laugh. "What? Did you really expect me to believe that? Or are you just trying to cheer me up?"
"Maybe a little bit of both. But Taehyung, believe me when I tell you that lycans are real. The one that carried you to the cabin on it's back was one."
Taehyung scoffs and rolls his eyes, really not wanting to fall into a prank. "Jungkook told me 'the cold has probably gotten to me' when I told you guys that. You really think I'll believe you all now?"
It's Jin's turn to roll his eyes at Taehyung, "It's because Jungkook is a lycan and he's the one who brought you to the cabin." Taehyung still doesn't believe this and shakes his head.
"And what does Jungkook being a 'lycan' have to do with him avoiding me?"
"You said you kissed him yesterday, right?" Taehyung nods. "He's been pining over you ever since the two of you met. Tae, he likes you. I might even say he's in love. He's been talking about you constantly and dreaming about you and shit. That kiss you gave him probably triggered his rut. And-"
"His what?" Taehyung asks, obviously new to this whole topic.
"His rut, Tae. Have you read ABO fics? They're-"
"Yeah, I've read ABO fics." Maybe he isn't that new to this topic at all. "You mean to tell me, that the guy I like is a lycan and is going through his rut right now because of a kiss I gave?"
Jin shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly. "He probably really likes you for that to happen."
This whole thing has Taehyung thinking. Thinking too hard until his head hurt. Jungkook is a lycan and Jin and the others know about it...meaning-
"Are you guys lycans?" Taehyung's voice sounds small and weak, as if he's afraid of the answer. The whole room goes quiet until Jin decides to break the ice.
"We're...a pack. You're the only human among us, Taehyung."
Taehyung can feel his surroundings turn. Everything is too much, he needs time to let this all sink in. Time and space. He can't breathe properly, something's blocking his airway.
He blacks out.

"God, I hope he didn't hurt himself too much. Do you think he'll be okay?"
"Hyung, calm down. He's probably just overwhelmed."
Taehyung slowly flutters his eyes open, the blinding lights making his head pound like crazy. "Where am I?" He asks, turning his head to the left to see he's no longer in his room. No, he's in somewhere much more expensive. He looks to his right to see all the five guys looking at him in concern.
"Oh would you look at that," Taehyung's voice is hoarse. "The whole pack all together."
"Taehyung, I'm so sorry for dropping the bomb on you. I should have been more careful. I-"
"Hyung, calm down. It's okay, I overreacted." Taehyung smiles faintly and moves to sit up, Jin and Jimin quickly by his side to help him sit. "You're at my place, by the way." Hoseok smiles at him.
Taehyubg looks around, realising that someone's missing.
"Where's Jungkook?" Everyone goes quiet and looks at each other. Not the 'confused' type of look but the 'how do we tell him?' type of look. Namjoon takes the initiative and speaks up, "He's...on his heat."
"Oh...did I really cause it?" When Taehyung gets silent nods, he sighs and tries to stand up, leaning on Jimin for support. "How long until I can see him again?" Taehyung asks.
"Not long. Can you wait for about three days? He usually finishes by then." Taehyung nods and stares at the ground, thinking of what could happen and what he wants to happen when they see each other again.

Three days pass by in a flash and Taehyung is giddy all over, excited to finally see Jungkook again. His knees are jumpy and his fingers are tappy. He can't sit still in the train for more than a minute. A few minutes of constant tapping and humming, the train comes into a stop and he dashes out of the transportation, wanting to get to their university as fast as he could.
The five other guys told him that they were going to lock Jungkook on the rooftop by seven pm, thirty minutes before the fireworks will be set off.
It's 7:16 pm. Taehyung has been preparing and working on himself, making sure his make up is good, his clothes aren't wrinkled and that he smells like a whole field of flowers.
"You're sixteen minutes late." Jimin says, his arms crossed as he walks over towards Taehyung from the door he's 'guarding' and gives the taller man a hug.
"Blame it all on the train." Taehyung mumbles into Jimin's shoulder as they hug.
"Get in there." Jimin smack on Taehyung's ass, unlocking the door for him. Taehyung takes easy breaths before stepping out, hearing the door softly close and lock beside him.
He takes a deep breath before he starts walking again, nervousness coursing through his veins as he looks for Jungkook. "Guk? Gukkie!" He calls out, turning to his right. He smiles when he sees a figure standing by the edge, looking down at the many booths and people.
The figure turns around and sure enough, there stands Jungkook, in all his black shirt and black pants, smiling at Taehyung. He welcomes the man with open arms, enveloping him into a hug when they were close enough.
"Missed you." Jungkook mumbles into Taehyung's shoulders, strong arms gripping Taehyung closer to him. "Missed you too." Taehyung mumbles back. "Sorry."
Jungkook pulls away with a frown, confused. "Sorry for what?" He asks. Taehyung fiddles with his thumbs, avoiding Jungkook's intense gaze.
"Jin hyung told me that..." Taehyung can only blush at the thought. He has done more research about this topic and it left him blushing all night. "My kiss caused your rut to...happen? I think?" Taehyung looks up at Jungkook who's now completely flushed. Not just his cheeks, but also his nape and ears were a burning red.
"He told you? Shit, Taehyung I'm so sorry. I promise, I'm not a pervert. It's normal for us, please don't get me wrong. I would never disrespect you like that. It's just that I like you so so much and you kissed me and it happened-"
"I like you too."
Jungkook stops talking and looks at Taehyung with a questioning look. "I-I'm sorry?"
Taehyung takes a deep breath and rocks in his heels, "I said. I really really like you too, Jungkook."
Jungkook just stands there in front of him, not knowing what to do. "Don't just stand there. I kissed you five days ago. You never kissed me back." Taehyung says, wondering where this sudden push of bravery came from. "Pay up." He says.
Jungkook is slowly taking one step, two steps towards him, now so close to Taehyung that their noses are inches apart.
"What are you waiting for?" Taehyung asks, leaning his forehead onto Jungkook's. "Kiss me." He whispers.
"I've been waiting so long to do just that." Jungkook whispers back before pressing their lips together. Jungkook snakes a hand around Taehyung's waist, pulling the man closer.
Taehyung sucks on Jungkook's lower lip, causing the other to gasp in surprise. Taehyung takes this chance to slip his tongue inside, studying every corner and every inch of Jungkook's wet cavern.
He tastes sweet, so, so sweet.
Taehyung moans into the kiss, curling his fingers into Jungkook's soft locks, tugging on them softly making the man's grip on his waist tighten.
Their tongues danced with each other in sync, as if they were made for each other. Hands roamed all over two of the men's bodies, their tongues clashing and lips rubbing onto each other.
When they pull away, the both of them are a panting mess. Lips wet and swollen, and eyes glassy and watery.
"I think I like you." Jungkook whispers, making Taehyung giggle.
"I think I like you too."
