Work Text:
Pure darkness hogged his eyesight, He heard muffling screams from every angle. As he opens his eyes he was met by a beam of light shooting downwards, the source of it being unknown. Giyuu stood in the middle of nowhere, he shook his head and looked around, desperately trying to figure out where he was. The next second passed and he felt a calloused hand gripping tightly onto his legs, they were trying to pull him down. Giyuu felt his heartbeat quicken, his mind was speechless and unsure of what to do. He screamed for help but to no avail. He reached out his hand and there was Sabito, he ran towards Giyuu with eyes widening.
"Giyuu!" Screamed the other male.
"S-sabito," Giyuu's voice came out hoarse, but at least he found someone.
But by the time Sabito came closer to him, he wasn't alone. Giyuu was met with a group of people he knew, their intense glares shot at Giyuu, making him feel tiny and helpless. He now had no more clue of what was going on, but everyone's harsh voices filled with odium shuddered Giyuu entirely.
"What is your purpose in this life, Giyuu?"
"My life was destroyed because of you."
"You're the biggest mistake I have made,"
"Why bother? You have no one now."
But to that statement, he refused to give in. Giyuu knew that Sanemi truly loved him, he has always reminded Giyuu how much he meant to him.
"Do you think I'm really genuine when I take care of you, Tomioka?" A familiar voice comes hoarding his head.
Giyuu's mouth was left agape, he slowly lifted his head up, trying to tell himself it wasn't Sanemi. But all he saw was his greatest fear. He rethinks again, what if that wasn't Sanemi - it couldn't be him, right? But that familiar hair and the excessive amount of scars proved Giyuu wrong. With Sanemi using his last name, it was like he had refused to call Giyuu by his real name. As if it he was filled with contempt with the thought of Giyuu already. To him, Sanemi's voice was the biggest blow of them all. There his partner stood, his eyes were narrowed, the whites in his eyes dissolved into pure black. His perilous glare was like a knife digging in Giyuu's ribs, making it way swiftly towards his heart with no provocation. He can remember that face filled with innocent emotions, but now all Giyuu could see on Sanemi's face was disgust and raw hatred. The worst thing? Giyuu was the cause of it.
He regrets everything, he wants to scream in front of Sanemi and apologize for causing such an inconvenience, he wants to beg for Sanemi's forgiveness, he curses to himself. Why am I such a mess? Sooner or later panic overwhelms his head, stretching from everywhere leaving no place unmarked. His hands crept up onto his ruffled hair and he shoves his head between his legs.
The second stage is embarrassment, how did he fail to see what Sanemi really felt? Giyuu realizes he's such a fool, bothering others for the sake of himself, who in the right mind even thought it would be a good idea to let someone get close to you? He feels repulsive, putting himself before others was such a selfish, arrogant move. Sanemi doesn't deserve this, being forced to help out such a fuck-up like him. If only Giyuu was mentally and physically well, perhaps Sanemi wouldn't feel like lending a hand to Giyuu was such a chore. Giyuu wants to rip his skin off and his remains to vanish into the atmosphere.
In addition to that, it crawls onto Giyuu. Concealing itself as an innocent embrace that Giyuu craved for, curling itself onto him and it's venom slowly becoming present. Giyuu takes no notice, his desperation of love was too high and did anything for this warm feeling. The sensation condenses into his blood, making every part of him lose its strength as it was replaced with poison. Giving up was an understatement, he had always done it ages ago. But with Sanemi's relentless efforts of persuasion that led to Giyuu clinging on that small ray of hope, well now it had faded into the darkness surrounding him. Giyuu lets himself fall into this deep oblivion with no intention of trying to regain himself.
A certain voice calls him out but still not strong enough to reach Giyuu, it acted like it was trying to grab Giyuu out of this world he was in. A muffled, defeaning voice tries to cut out this mirthless nightmare, "Giyuu, baby, p-please wake up,"
It's close to bringing Giyuu out, sooner or later a hand clasps on his pristine face, the grip was tight and remained on him for a long time.
"Yuu," after a repetitive amount of calling this particular phrase snapped Giyuu from his slumber.
His clouded eyes brought fear to Sanemi, Giyuu's cheeks were puffed cheeks were red and his hair remained even more tousled than before. It had seemed like all colours from the world had diminished from his eyes, this sight gave Sanemi the worst goosebumps. Giyuu had looked so scared, Sanemi wanted to lock him away from the world - he had been hurt way to many times.
Giyuu's head was resting in Sanemi's broad arms, Sanemi's face looking intently at Giyuu. They were so close that Giyuu could hear Sanemi's harsh gasps, the fear on his face made Giyuu want to crawl underneath the futon they were laying on.
Unfortunately, the dream escapes with Giyuu too, it doesn't allow Giyuu to have such a happy time even in reality. He can feel the wave coming but he isn't aware of what to do, Giyuu's breaths became unsteady, more sweat made it onto his forehead.
Thankfully due to Sanemi's meticulous behaviour he wastes no time. "Shh, hey I'm here alright? Remember what we always do, you're breathing make it your first priority first. Keep it stable." He reassures as Sanemi's hands slipped into Giyuu's hand and taking his time, Giyuu tightened his fingers around his hand.
Giyuu felt his eyes averting Sanemi's concerned gaze, feeling an immense amount of pressure Giyuu opens his mouth to apologize. But Sanemi having a great deft into making quick decisions he playfully gave Giyuu a peck on his lips. It was gentle and pure, giving Giyuu the proper enfold he had desired for. It teared Giyuu up slightly, a bit too surprised by this affection. Sanemi kisses the droplets rolling on Giyuu's bloated cheeks.
"Yuu, I need you to look at me." Just with those roll of syllables on Sanemi's tongue, it made Giyuu feel safe alas. "I'm here, always here and I will never leave. It is my decision to stay and I can assure you I'm being genuine - I truly love you, Tomioka Giyuu."
And with that, Giyuu nuzzles his head deeper into Sanemi's touch. At least he was going to be okay for now, Sanemi is there with him.
