Chapter Text

He wanted to meet him. He wanted to meet him so badly, but it was impossible. He lives further away than you could ever imagine. Stop entertaining the thought of meeting for christ sake! How long had it been? Over a year now? My brain can’t function…I just want to stare at him all night. He let his eyes close a little thinking back to when he first met the other man.

At first it had only started out as a small roleplay group. You roleplay a character from a video game or show with a few other people and pose as that character writing back and forth with each other. Almost like you were creating your own stories with the characters whether it be canon or an alternate universe. That was the best way he knew to describe it to people who didn’t know what he meant when he said roleplaying. They usually assumed something sexual. I mean…it can be but still.

A new guy had joined the small group and immediately jumped into the roleplays. Dabi wasn’t even sure how they winded up connecting so well. Sure, he had typed up a starter to the guy, but it never ended. They just kept going and going. He didn’t think he was a very good writer either, so he had no idea how he had stumbled upon this amazing man and why said man wanted to roleplay with him. His ideas were pretty boring but somehow, they kept them going for hours into the night. It was never ending. Dabi didn’t mind though he loved talking to him even if he wasn’t himself. And when it eventually turned into just them talking as real people and not hiding behind some fictional character, he knew he had fucked up.

“Hey, are you falling asleep?” The voice made Dabi jump and he shook his head quickly looking back at the screen staring into the computer screen at the other man.

“Well it is going on three in the morning for me.” Dabi yawned and leaned back against his pillow he had propped up behind him.

“Yeah well it’s nine in the morning for me.” He laughed a little and pushed his hood down from his jacket showing Dabi his newly dyed hair. “What do you think?”

“Is it supposed to be a pale blue…or white?” Dabi questioned and rubbed his eyes.

“Hm both?” Dabi saw his shoulders rise and fall as he shrugged.

“Then I’d say it’s perfect.” Dabi gave him a thumbs up.

“Do you think we’re going to be kicked out of the group?”

“For not posting any starters or even finishing the ones we had going on? Yeah probably.” Dabi shrugged.

In all honesty, he was tired of roleplaying. Don’t get him wrong, he enjoyed writing, but he was tired of writing this stuff. He wanted to work on his own stuff again. His own short stories and songs he was attempting to write. Hopefully he would be able to get his name out there or send something off to publish. It was a very far off dream, but a man could dream. He didn’t have anything else going for him at the moment, so he wanted to spend time on himself instead of random strangers on the internet that he would probably never meet.

“Is it weird that I really don’t care right now?” He laughed and Dabi felt his heart skip a beat. He could listen to that laugh for hours. He loved it so much, he loved everything about the man.

“Tomura…I’m tired.” Dabi groaned and moved his laptop off to the side so he could lay down in the bed but still turned on his side to stare at the computer screen.

“Then go to sleep.” Tomura suggested.

“But I still want to talk.”

“Wake up at ten and we’ll have plenty of time to talk.”

“True…it’ll be four in the afternoon for you then?”

“Mhm.”

Dabi hesitated, he didn’t want to end the video call. Was it weird that he wanted to fall asleep and just watch Tomura? Very weird you creep.

“If you want, I can stay on video I’m just going to do stuff on my computer. Probably game.” Dabi watched as he pulled on headphones plugging them into something Dabi couldn’t see.

“Isn’t that weird? You would be watching me sleep.” Dabi chuckled. “That’s creepy.”

“You say this as if you’ve never fallen asleep on me before.” Tomura raised an eyebrow at him.

“It’s not my fault you’re all the way over there and I’m here. Move closer.” Dabi groaned.

“You move closer.”

“I can’t I don’t have the money, or I would.” Dabi told him.

“Really? Who’s the creep now?” Tomura snickered.

“What? How is that me being a creep? It’s only natural I’d want to be closer to you.” Dabi wanted to slap himself for even spouting the words out of his mouth but his half sleep deprived mind couldn’t control his thought process. Hopefully Tomura would just ignore that comment.

“Oh speaking of that, it’ll be our one year anniversary in two days.” Tomura nodded.

“One year since…?” Dabi questioned.

“Our first video call. I don’t count our first time we roleplayed together since we weren’t really friends until later. I count when we went to video calling and I knew you were a real person and not some ten-year-old kid or some sixty-year-old man trying to trick me.” Tomura said matter of fact.

“How do you even keep track of the dates?” Dabi laughed.

Not that he didn’t know the dates either. He remembered the very first day they ever spoke even if it was just a roleplay. It was January fifth. Then January eighteenth was the first time they spoke as themselves and not in character. Tomura told him happy birthday that day. It had surprised Dabi and they winded up messaging back and forth the entire day and night until they both passed out realizing how much they enjoyed talking even if the only thing they seemed to have in common was the one video game they were roleplaying characters from. February eighteenth was their first video call. Took them a while to work up the courage to talk to each other face to face on a screen.

“I wrote them all down.” Tomura shrugged as if it were no big deal.

“You’re good at that….” Dabi yawned. His eyes were growing heavier by the minute.

“Good at what?” Tomura questioned and peered right at him. It felt like he was looking right through the screen into Dabi’s soul. It made him shiver.

“It’s cold.” Dabi complained and pulled the blankets up higher on himself covering the lower half of his face.

“I won’t be able to hear you if you cover your mouth Dabi.” Tomura pointed out.

“But it’s cold and I’m tired.” Dabi lowered the blanket a tad.

“Then go to sleep and turn your heat up.”

“That’s money that I don’t want to pay, and I am going to sleep but you keep talking.”

“Oh forgive me. I’ll shut up now.” Tomura hit a button on the keyboard and all Dabi could hear was silence and the strange sounds the apartment made at night. Tomura had muted his microphone so Dabi couldn’t hear him anymore.

“Wait wait now I can’t hear you.” Dabi waved his hand in front of the camera on his laptop. Tomura acted as if he couldn’t hear him either and continued doing whatever it was he was doing. “What are you doing? Hey.” Dabi huffed and sat up. “Tomura come on.” Dabi waited and Tomura finally looked at him hitting a button on the keyboard again.

“Why are you sitting up go to sleep.” Tomura rolled his eyes.

“You muted yourself.” Dabi frowned.

“I kept talking so you couldn’t go to sleep.” Tomura mocked him.

“I didn’t mean it like that.” Dabi sighed and laid back down settling under the covers. “I…like your voice.” Dabi could see Tomura’s face turn a little pink. Tomura would just blame the lighting if he pointed it out though.

“If you like it so much then stop complaining and go to sleep.”

“I am I am.” Dabi told him and closed his eyes. “Do you have to work today?”

“I work from home now I told you that.”

“Do you have to go out today?”

“Don’t have any plans to.”

“What are you going to eat for breakfast?”

“I will be here when you wake up if that’s what you’re asking.” Tomura laughed. “Shut up and go to sleep Dabi.”

“Alright.” Dabi let out a sigh and snuggled down under the blankets more. I want to tell him. I want to tell him how much I love him. It’s so stupid. I’m so stupid. He squeezed his eyes shut tighter trying to stop the tears from leaking. How embarrassing would that be to cry on someone just because you loved them? Pretty fucking embarrassing. Go to sleep idiot.

Dabi slowly opened his eyes, the sun was shining through his window annoying him. His gaze fell to his computer screen. Tomura was walking around in the background, it looked like he was folding clothes. Dabi decided not to say anything just so he could watch him for a minute. It wasn’t until Tomura took his shirt off and started to unzip his pants that Dabi coughed and sat up alerting Tomura that he was awake.

“Hm? Morning.” Tomura glanced over at the computer.

“What are you doing?” Dabi asked stretching his arms out.

“Laundry and I was about to take a shower. Figured you’d be out for another hour or two, it’s only eight in the morning for you.”

“The sun was annoying me.”

“That’s why you close your blinds?” Tomura suggested. “I’m going to take a shower. Want me to call you after?”

“We can just stay connected. I have to piss and shower myself anyway.” Dabi shrugged.

“Wouldn’t it be easier for you to call me back when you’re done?” Tomura asked and walked over to the computer sitting down in the chair. He still didn’t have a shirt on and Dabi was trying hard to keep his gaze on his face he didn’t want Tomura to see his eyes moving around trying to study his half naked body.

“True.” Dabi could feel his body betray him and now there was no way he could stand up without Tomura noticing since he was only wearing boxers. “Talk to you soon.” Dabi quickly hit the end call button and moved his laptop to the dresser as he got out of bed. “Thanks so much body for your betrayal. You do realize he lives so far away you’ll never get any action, right?” Dabi rolled his eyes and headed to the bathroom.

His entire apartment was freezing since he refused to turn the heat up even though it was still cold outside. Winter hadn’t ended yet, but it was close. Dabi couldn’t wait. He was tired of being cold and miserable every night just to save money. His job didn’t pay half the bills since he hardly ever worked, he mainly relied on that check from his father every month. “I should get a better job that way…maybe…I could go see him.”

Dabi stayed in the shower longer than he usually did hoping his body would absorb the warmth from the water and last him the rest of the morning till it warmed up outside. When he got back to his computer, he typed out a quick message to Tomura asking if he was ready to call again. The response he got was the screen saying incoming call. He quickly hit the accept button.

“Yo.” Tomura was a little fuzzy. He was on his phone now instead of the computer. “Welcome to my kitchen. I am fixing something to eat for a late lunch.”

“I still haven’t eaten now that you mention food.”

“Go eat then idiot.”

“I’m good for now.”

“Do you work today?” Tomura questioned.

“No but I do work tomorrow morning.”

“Oooh fun.”

“Yes so much fun.” Dabi sighed. “I need a new job.”

“Then apply for one.”

“I don’t know what I want to do. I have so much free time right now with the job I have but I kind of want more cash.”

“Your dad’s check not cutting it?” Tomura laughed a little.

“No, it’s enough but…it’s not like I have extra to do other stuff with.”

“Why does your dad send you a check again?” Tomura questioned.

“Honestly? I’m not sure anymore but who am I to refuse money for bills.”

“It was because of what happened when you were a kid and how you moved out when you were sixteen right? He feels guilty so now he tries to support you or something?”

“You hit the nail on the head.” Dabi gave him a thumbs up.

“If you’re a parent and you feel that guilty why not try and make peace with your son instead of sending them money once a month? Money doesn’t change anything. Does he even talk to you?”

“That’s just the type of parent he is.” Dabi shrugged. “And no, we don’t speak. He just sends a card with a check each month. He even stamps his name instead of signing it.”

“What an asshole.” Tomura shook his head.

“What are you making?”

“Grilled cheese.”

“Send me some.” Dabi groaned. I want grilled cheese…I want to be able to eat a meal with him.

“Come get it yourself.”

“If only I could.” Dabi sighed.

“Maybe one day.” Tomura flashed him an apologetic smile. “So, what do you want extra money for?”

“None of your concern.”

“Alright dick.”

“Maybe I want to meet you in person one day.” Dabi shrugged. “I need money for that.”

“Yeah that would be nice. To finally meet you in person.” Tomura agreed.

“What would you do if we met in person?” Dabi asked curiously.

“What do you mean what would I do?” Tomura set the phone down so Dabi was looking at his ceiling he could hear the frying on the pan.

“How would you react if you saw me in the flesh?”

“How would you react?” Tomura questioned.

“Hey asshole it’s called answer the question you were asked before asking another.” Dabi shook his head. “Nice ceiling.”

“I can’t cook and hold a phone.” The reply came back. Tomura sounded further away now.

He still didn’t answer the question. “Tomura. What would you say if I wanted to be…more than friends?” Why are you asking this? He’s not interested in you like that!

“More than friends how so?” Tomura’s face was back on the screen and he was staring intently at Dabi. He almost looked angry.

“Like maybe I want to take you on a date or some shit like that.”

“I’d say that would be nice.” Tomura replied. “One sec almost done.” He set the phone back down and Dabi felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest. “But warning I feel like I would be really picky if we went on a date. Also, you snore so we can’t share the same bed if you were to ever spend the night.”

“What? I don’t snore you snore asshole!”

“You snore. I’ve recorded it so I have proof.”

“What the hell did you record me snoring?!”

“To have proof just for this moment.” Tomura laughed and picked the phone back up. “Done. Ta da.” He showed Dabi the grilled cheese.

“You’re making me hungry.”

“Then eat.”

“Don’t feel like it.” Dabi shrugged.

“You make no sense.” Tomura shook his head. “What if we met in person and we hated each other’s guts?”

“Wouldn’t we hate each other now if that were the case?” Dabi raised an eyebrow at him.

“I guess that’s true.” Tomura shrugged. “So you want to be more than friends with me? Does that mean you want to kiss me too?”

“Possibly.” Dabi gave him a small shrug. Dabi wasn’t expecting Tomura to be so straight forward. Maybe he should have brought this up before. Stop getting ahead of yourself Dabi. Play it cool. “You’re blushing.”

“That’s the lighting.” Tomura shook his head at Dabi.

“What about you? Would you want to kiss me?” Dabi wanted to know, more like he needed to know.

“That depends.” A grin started to form on Tomura’s face. “Would you taste like cigarettes? Because that’s disgusting.”

“I’d make sure that I wouldn’t. Just for you.”

“Alright then yes. Very much so.”

Dabi’s heart felt like it exploded, and a rush of adrenaline soared through his body at the thought of kissing Tomura. He liked the rush the thought gave him. He could only imagine what the real thing would make him feel. “That…makes me happy.” Dabi’s voice grew quiet as he spoke. It was hard to talk now. He was overjoyed and his brain felt like it was fried.

“Ew you’re going to make me puke. Don’t get all mushy on me while I’m eating please.” Tomura chuckled.

“Tomura do you really have feelings for me?” Dabi found it hard to believe, what if Tomura was just amusing him since they lived so far away from each other and would probably never meet.

“Don’t ask me that.” Tomura looked away from the screen. “It’s embarrassing. I don’t like talking about feelings.”

“Come on Tomura I just…I want to know.” I don’t want you to be joking, please don’t be joking around.

“Dabi why the hell would I stay up all night to talk to you and even fall asleep on a video call with you if I didn’t have some type of feelings for you?” Tomura sighed. “I literally watch you sleep every morning just so I can see you since our time zones suck so much. Obviously, I have feelings for you.”

“Thank god.” Dabi let out a sigh of relief.

“What did you seriously think I would joke around about something like that? I kind of thought we were already online dating. You mean to tell me that you thought we were just friends this whole time? God you’re an idiot.” Tomura shook his head at him.

“Why would I think we were more than friends? You never said anything!” Dabi exclaimed.

“I thought it was obvious and we even talked about this. Forgive me for forgetting that you’re a dumb ass.” Tomura laughed. “God, I love you. Why are you so dumb?”

“Woah now you love me?” Dabi leaned away from the computer putting his hands up.

“It’s called an expression Dabi chill.” Tomura frowned at him.

“It’s called a joke Tomura. I know what you meant.”

“Oh? You did huh? Then please tell me, what did I mean? Because honestly I don’t believe you know how I feel in the slightest.” Tomura crossed his arms over his chest.

“Why do you look pissed off?” Dabi was confused. What was going on?

“Because you’re pissing me off.” Tomura shrugged and looked away. “I’ve been talking to you for a year Dabi. I have more feelings than I like you. God you’re making me feel like a fucking idiot. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Tomura wait a minute—” But it was too late, he had hit the end call button before Dabi could finish his sentence. “What the hell? What did I do?” He quickly hit the call button again and waited for Tomura to answer. When he didn’t Dabi groaned and started typing a message to him.

Tomura come on. Talk to me! I’m sorry I’m an idiot. I’m sorry please talk to me. Please.

Dabi sat there waiting for some type of response and when he didn’t get one for ten minutes, he felt like his entire being was going to split in two. “I fucking hate being so far away! Damn it!” He slammed his hand on the desk he was sitting at glaring at his computer screen. The tears were starting to burn his eyes and he pressed his fingers to his temples.

Tomura please. Talk to me. Tell me what I did wrong. Dabi quickly typed out the new message and hit send. When he still didn’t get a reply, he hit the call button again and waited. On the last ring the screen opened as Tomura answered the call. Tomura was sitting at his desk now and his face looked red, his eyes were puffy.

“Tomura I’m sorry.” Dabi spoke quietly.

“You’re such an asshole Dabi.”

“I know I’m sorry.”

“As long as you know.” Tomura rubbed his face. “You made me fucking cry.”

“Don’t cry I’m sorry. I don’t want you to cry because of me.” Dabi wished so badly he could reach out and wipe away the stray tears on Tomura’s cheeks. It was unfair. Why was this entire situation unfair?

“Then don’t be such an idiot Dabi.” Tomura frowned. “We’ve been talking every day and night for an entire year. I really thought it was obvious you knew how I felt. Am I that hard to read?”

“No I just…I’ve never done this before. Long distance. I just thought we were really close friends or some shit even though I’ve been having these feelings for so damn long. And if I were to say what I felt would it even matter? It’s not like we’ll ever be near each other you know? But…as the days go by it gets harder...almost unbearable.”

“I don’t want you to hide your damn feelings. So what if we’re far away? Damn it Dabi I want you to know how I feel and I want to know how you feel.” Tomura exclaimed. “I even asked you one night if were dating and you said yes!”

“What? When did you ask me that?” What? How did I miss this? How did I forget this?!

“Oh my god.” Tomura groaned. “I’m never asking you anything late at night again.”

“I was asleep?”

“I thought you were awake.” Tomura frowned. “You were talking up a storm…it was last month. A Sunday night. Uh…you were complaining about how your dad’s check got there late, and you almost missed your rent payment.”

“Oh…oh shit. I was drunk that night because I was pissed off.”

“You were so drunk that you don’t remember me asking.” Tomura sighed. “It’s fine…it’s my fault for asking you at two in the morning anyway.” Tomura looked away from the computer screen. He looked deep in thought and Dabi wanted to know what he was thinking. He knew he needed to say something, but he wasn’t sure what. He didn’t want to piss Tomura off again and him hang up. “Look let’s just start over. Dabi can we date? Even if we live super far away from each other?”

“Yes! Yes, I would like that.” Dab quickly nodded his head. Keep talking! Don’t stop now apologize! “I’m sorry I don’t remember you asking me that last month.” He felt a crushing guilty and wanted to shove his head under water. It felt like a crime to forget anything Tomura said to him.

“It’s fine. It’s my fault.” Tomura shook his head.

“It’s not. It’s mine.” Dabi assured him. “Hey so what are you doing for you birthday? It’s coming up soon.”

“That’s like almost two months away. Why are you changing the subject?”

“I’m not. I’m just curious.” Dabi defended himself. “I got to spend my birthday talking to you all day just like how I spent my birthday before that. Last year on your birthday you never got online so I didn’t really get to talk to you.”

“I don’t like birthdays. They’re pointless.” Tomura told him. “But I’ll be here doing what I normally do.”

“What if I came to see you for your birthday?” Why are you saying that? With what money?! Don’t get his hopes up! Don’t get yours up! Idiot! Fucking idiot!

“Ha yeah with what money?” Tomura looked like he was about to start crying again. “Don’t bring up something that’s just going to make me sad please?”

“I’m not trying to I’m just...” Dabi frowned. “What if I’m able to somehow get enough money to come see you? Would you let me?”

“How are you going to get money for it?”

“I just need a plane ticket. You would be my ride to and from the airport and I’d be staying with you, so I don’t have to pay for a hotel. It would only cost…” Dabi stated typing into google ticket prices. “Around a thousand.” He could feel his heart sink. Yeah exactly how are you going to get enough money for it Dabi?

“Moving on.” Tomura sighed. “My head is killing me...I need medicine. Be right back.”

Dabi stared at the computer screen. He wanted this, he wanted this more than anything. Was there any way he could get the money? He had a passport, so he didn’t have to worry about that. It’s just the plane ticket. He picked up his cellphone and muted the call he was on with Tomura before hitting the button on his phone to call the one person he didn’t ever want to see in person again.

“Dabi? Is everything okay? You never call me.”

“Yeah I’m doing just fine. I just had a quick question. I know you send me a check once a month for my rent, but I was wondering…if I want you to stop doing that and buy me a plane ticket instead…could you?”

“A plane ticket? For what?”

“To see someone, it’s not really your business. I just wanted to know if you could help me out or not.” Come on do this one thing for me. I’ve never asked you for anything…maybe I should have never accepted the checks you send me. Fuck. “Sorry I know I shouldn’t be asking you for anything I’ll let you go.” Hang up and get off the phone.

“Dabi wait!” His father’s booming voice made him hesitant and he kept the phone pressed to his ear. “I want to help you out especially since…you’re directly asking me for something. You even called me so it must be important to you.” Obviously, it’s important I would never call you if it wasn’t.

Dabi looked at the computer screen waiting for his dad to continue talking. Tomura was back and he was glaring at Dabi waving his hand around in front of the screen. What are you doing? Who are you talking to? Hello? The messages popped up on his computer and he held his finger up telling Tomura one minute.

“Who is this person you want to go visit if you don’t mind me asking?”

“It’s my boyfriend and I want to see him.” Dabi swallowed. It was a weird thing to say especially to someone who didn’t even know what your favorite thing to eat was. “I don’t make enough money to get enough for a ticket for his birthday. I haven’t been saving up very well recently.” You haven’t been saving at all because of these checks he sends you. You’re spoiled as hell.

“I…see.” His father sounded disappointed and Dabi let out a sigh.

“Look it’s fine if you don’t want to help me. Just stop sending me money altogether and making me think I have someone on my side that could help if I ever needed it.” Your damn money spoils me and I hate it. I hate you.

“Dabi you do have me you always have me to help it’s just…how long have you known this person?”

“Long enough that he knows what I like to eat unlike you.” Dabi couldn’t help the anger that was in his voice. He wished he could forget what his father looked like but that was impossible when he saw him all over the newspaper running for some stupid election or how his company is doing so well. All that boring shit Dabi didn’t care about. Why couldn’t his father just disappear from his life if he wasn’t going to help him with this one single thing? He had never once in his life asked for anything. He took the beatings he did everything his father ever asked and when he was tossed to the side for a younger sibling, he left without ever looking back. His father was the one that ran forward trying to find him. Lucky me. Dabi shook his head. Tomura looked at him concerned but still sat there waiting for him to come back to the call.

“Let me…just let me think it over for a few days alright?” His father finally spoke again.

“Sure, you do that. But don’t you dare send me another check I’ll shred it to pieces.” Dabi pulled the phone away from his ear and hit the end call button tossing his cellphone down. Why did you even waste your breath? Man up and get your money the normal way. Go work your ass off for it.

He clicked the mute button on his computer so Tomura could finally hear him. “Sorry phone call.”

“Obviously.” Tomura rolled his eyes. “You don’t normally mute yourself for phone calls though. Who was it?” He looked slightly concerned. It must be the expression Dabi was now wearing.

“No one important. Don’t worry about it.” Dabi waved him off looking around his room.

“You have five seconds to tell me the truth. Or I’m hanging up for good today.” Tomura crossed his arms over his chest.

“Seriously?” Dabi shook his head. “You really don’t want to talk to me today do you? It was…my dad.”

“I do want to talk to you but you’re being an asshole.” Tomura shrugged and gave him a small smile.

“You’re the one being an ass…” Dabi sighed and rubbed his face.

“Sorry…so what did he want?” Dabi felt his heart quicken at how Tomura’s voice softened a little.

“He didn’t want anything.” Dabi shook his head. “I was the one that called him.”

“You did?” Tomura looked shocked.

“Yeah…I did.” Dabi wanted to bury himself alive right now. He felt miserable and like a complete fool for crawling to his dad for help. “I told him to stop sending me checks. I’m tired of his money…I should have never accepted it to begin with.”

“I…” Tomura started chewing on his lip thinking. He always does that when he’s lost in deep thought. “I can understand the anger of it all, I think? Like you liked having the money because it meant you had to do less but at the same time, all it does is give you a hopeless feeling because money isn’t love. And he can’t buy love with money. No one can. So, you want him to stop. And you want to prove you can handle yourself. Good job Dabi for speaking your mind and telling him that. Maybe it will get your point across to him and if he cares enough to do right by you, he’ll actually come see you in person and try and fix your relationship instead of relying on snail mail.”

“Snail mail?” Dabi chuckled a little.

“Yes, I mean if he really wanted you to have the money, I’m sure he could just wire you the one to your account or use that app thing they have now. Mail takes too long to get anywhere and then you have to worry if it’ll get sent to the wrong address as well.”

“Ugh I’m such an idiot.” Dabi groaned. “Now I have to fill out job applications.” Dabi started clicking around on his laptop seeing the job listings around his area.

“Hey maybe you’ll find something you enjoy. You never know.” Tomura gave him a smile.

“Maybe.” Dabi gave a quick nod as he read through some listings. “I should just be a stripper.”

“A stripper?” Tomura busted into laughter. “Sure yeah great idea. You do that. I would love to see it.”

“I’d make a damn good stripper.” Dabi gave him a grin before going back to look at the jobs.

“Hm…I don’t really like the idea of other people seeing you when…” Tomura went quiet and Dabi minimized the browser to see if he was still there.

“What?” Dabi questioned seeing him sitting there staring at the keyboard intensely.

“Nevermind.”

“No now I’m curious.” Dabi leaned back in his chair watching Tomura.

“It doesn’t matter, did you find anything yet?”

“Changing the subject I see.” Dabi scoffed. “We’re dating now correct?”

“Well I thought we were dating before but yeah.”

“Then tell me. Isn’t that the point of relationships? To tell the other how you feel about stuff?” Tomura just shrugged. “Well I did apply for the strip club.” Dabi teased. It was a lie of course but he kind of wanted to see Tomura riled up. He liked seeing him angry when he wasn’t threatening to end their conversations.

“Liar I’m not going to fall for that cheap trick.”

“Aw come on just say it.” Dabi pouted.

“What’s the point?” Tomura mumbled and rested his chin on his hand. “You’re all the way over there and I’m all the way over here.”

“Fine I’ll finish your sentence.” Dabi announced as he opened the browser again. “You don’t like the idea of other people seeing my awesome body when you haven’t seen it yourself.”

“Shut up.”

“Hey you said it not me.” Dabi laughed.

“Hm…so would you really come see me if you got the money? You’re not just joking around?”

“Why would I joke around about something like that Tomura?” Dabi gave him a look.

“I’m just…the idea makes me excited even though I know it’s not going to happen.” Tomura frowned.

“What about you? Would you ever come see me if you had the money?”

“Of course, even though I’d prefer it if you came here. Maybe if I got the money, I’d send you to me instead.”

“What do you have against my country?” Dabi laughed.

“I like mine…it’s nice here and yours sounds like shit.” Tomura shrugged.

“Then it’s a promise.” Dabi gave him a nod. “When either of us gets the money. I’m coming to see you.”

Tomura’s face turned pink again and Dabi just smiled watching the small trail of tears leaking from Tomura’s eyes.

“Yeah. It’s a promise Dabi. And yes, I’ll admit it I am blushing now.” Tomura smiled at him and Dabi felt his entire body melt.

You have every part of me Tomura whether you know it or not. I love you even if we’ve never met. You’ve stolen my heart.
