Setting:
The setting is ancient china-esque but with modern devices. Like phones, computers, televisions, etc. It's kinda hard to explain without any visuals, I'm trying to make some visuals for the setting but it may take a while. So I hope I can explain the setting as best as I can.
You know of how Europe still have it's famous buildings like the Colosseum, Eiffel Tower, Partheon, Tower of Piza, the Sistine Chapel, and Tower of London, but people just renovate or fix some of the details of the place for others to visit? How America still have the Statue of Liberty, Colonial houses, Lincoln Memorial, Histrocial Colonial Parks? Like how China still have the Forbidden City, Great Wall of China, and Terracota Army, yet clean up the area for tourists to see? Now, these places are surrounded by modern cities, buildings, and transportation. That's what I'm basically trying to do with the setting.
"What if the ancient buildings were renovated to still have an aesthetic of being in the past but, still have modern technology to help them survive?" is what asked so I can think of a setting.
Like what if Cloud Recesses had digital books and computers to help save their ancient texts? What if MDZS had trains, bus, and steam boats to travel instead of riding horses for the common people to use? What if their world had TV News so people can be updated on facts and opinions of matters that could be deemed such as wars, scandals about their sects, and people in power? The modern world has those things so, I just decided to combine them together.
How that will work for the setting is, that important buildings like Koi Tower, Cloud Recesses, Lotus Pier, and Nightless City, would still remain their traditonal design. However, they will have technological advancements install inside so it can have some modern feel to it. Places like Caiyi Town and other towns would be renovated to look more modern-esque, having building that look like in Beijing, New York City, and Tokyo. A reference that can be used in real life would be Xi'an for a modern mixed with ancient chinese buildings, Kyoto and Japan (comparing them side by side) for a show of modern and traditional aesthetic, and Beijing and Shanghai for the modern china-esque.
Now for the Sci-fi stuff, the sci-fi will only be on the machines, artillery, and weapons. As described, the weapons and machines depend on special suits, gloves, and other sensors that check their body status and golden core. That is how the sci-fi works in this setting. An example would be, like in MMORPG games and anime where they have android/characters with special guns, rockets, eye scanners, and other special technology. A perfect example would be in Dragon ball, and how Bulma makes machines like time machines, motorbikes, capsule cars and vans, and even fixed an alien technology. such as spaceships.

Power Usage: The powers that people use in this universe is still on Golden Core. However, it’s the weapons that help make the Golden Core have attacks that are even more powerful. Weapons like swords, bows and arrows, axes, whips, saber, etc. are still used. However, there are some weapons like heavy artillery that will depend on Golden Core for a more powerful attack. Some have sensors like on gloves, suits, etc. that will check on the stats of the golden core and will vary how powerful the attack will be. Will be explained more in the story.
Timeline: This timeline is a lot different because I’m mixing all three novels into a universe where they can all co-exist. As a result, I decided that a sci-fi and ancient china mix would work well. When I think about it, it’s like what if TGCF was the beginning of the timeline (Year 0) and it set the basis for the universe, then SVSSS was the first sects to form in the new timeline (Ex. Year 508), and this set the criteria for MDZS sects which turned to kingdoms, states, empires, and started a new technology (Ex. Year 802)? It’s kind of hard to explain but the story will progress, and it will show more of how history came to be.
