If you decided to ask Izuku and/or Ochaco if they had feelings for the other, then you'd probably get a reaction along the lines of a vehement denial from their part.
The two had portrayed the other as nothing more than the "best friend". Which, of course didn't fool a single soul.
Their classmates seemed to be aware of the feeling of awkwardness whenever the two had been put on the spot about their feelings.
Naturally, most of their classmates took pity on the pair, with the exception of Bakugou who couldn't give a damn and thought that such trivial emotions like love were a waste of time.
Now, back to their classmates. They'd all been there at some point. Actually, some of them even had their own crushes/love troubles going on right now. The only difference was that none of them had to experience the embarrassment of having their feelings be revealed to the world.
No matter how much the other denied it, their feelings for the other were very obvious and they were definitely more than "platonic".
They may have been students undergoing special training in order to hone their skills to save the world, but they were still teenagers.
These feelings of awkwardness were intensified when the boy had admitted that he thought that Ochaco looked good in the brand new costume she had requested. Though, he did believe that she'd look good in a potato sack.
The only problem was that Izuku had accidentally let his thoughts slip from his head after Kaminari cheekily decided to ask him a sly and well timed question.
The results of said question after Izuku realized the weight behind his words were two red faces and collective snickers from their classmates.
While the two were eventually able to clear the air around them and pour their feelings out to the other, Izuku was glad he had some dirt on Kaminari's own feelings towards a certain girl after he had short circuited due to going past his limit during training.
Izuku sure could be devious sometimes.
