Work Text:

Every time he passed her door there was always a noise that came from the other side.

It could be a crash, bang or thud, but either way there was something his girlfriend was hiding and he’d be damned if he doesn’t find out what it is.

Marching over to the girl’s dorms, Bakugou waits around a corner, seeing when his girlfriend would exit her room. Bakugou has learned (Y/N)’s routine… because he cares and never would admit it.

In reality, after being around her so much you start to pick up on a few things, such as at around 9:00 PM, she’ll leave her room to go take a shower. When the time comes, the blond will enter the room, see what the hell is up, then leave, all before (Y/N) gets out of the shower half an hour later.

9 o'clock comes quickly and soon the door swings open, the figure of (Y/N) being revealed, holding onto a pair of pajamas and a towel.

As her form walked down the hall and away from Bakugou, the ash bond himself came out from hiding, stepping up to the now closed door. Pressing his ear against the surface, he listened carefully for any sounds.

That’s when he heard it, small scratching sounds against the door.

Immediately his hand latches onto the door knob, twisting it and swinging it open. The room was a little dark, the light from the window providing enough for the small room. Bakugou’s red eyes scan the space, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Meow…

Crimson eyes gazed down only to be met with a pair of green eyes, the black pupils slit, black hair accommodating the small animal.

It was a cat, and it didn’t look too happy with the sudden intrusion…

It hissed, swiping at Bakugou’s leg. He stumbled back but instead of air he hit something. Or rather someone…

“Curiosity often leads to trouble” the female said, a hand being placed onto his shoulder.

Bakugou jumped, when had she returned to her room? It hasn’t been that long has it? Whipping around, he shrugs her hand off, a small glare being thrown her way.

“No wonder I met you…” he muttered. It’s true, the only reason the two were even together was because (Y/N) caught Bakugou’s eye and he had became curious, wanted to know more about her the longer he was around her.

“True” she added, closing her door and walking up to the fur ball. (Y/N) crouched down, picking up the feline, petting it on the head. The small animal let out a content purr, rubbing its head against her soft hand.

“Why the hell do you even have that in here?” Katsuki questioned, red eyes never leaving the cat. (Y/N) hummed, sitting down on the edge of her bed.

“One day while I was out I heard her meowing. When I found her she was tangled up in some trash. After I helped she just kept on following me, all the way back to the dorms. I talked to Mr. Aizawa and he said that I could keep her! I just couldn’t tell anyone… So um, don’t tell anyone… please…” Bakugou nodded, going to pet the cat himself. It took a little for the fluffy creature to warm up to him but it eventually did, rubbing her head against his palm as it did with (Y/N) before.

“Name?” the blond said. (Y/N) raised an eyebrow causing Bakugou to huff, “what’s it’s name!?” His girlfriend giggled, continuing to pet the animal.

“I’m not sure, I haven’t decided yet… how about you name her!?” crimson eyes fell and connected with small green eyes, taking a moment to think.

“Missy” he answered. (Y/N) smiled though she couldn’t help the look of surprise that crossed her face as well.

“Missy? That’s actually kind of cute! I was honestly thinking you wouldn’t pick something like that for her!” Bakugou’s eyes narrowed.

“It’s short for missile launcher…” he glared.

“K-Katsuki, no!!”
