Chapter Text
Anna Arendelle:
Anna Arendelle woke up bright and early. It was finally her first day of sophomore year. This year for her was a chance to try and start over, after the madness of freshman year. With her parents unfortunately dying during an insane thunderstorm, the whole incident with that James Hook boy, and so much more, she was just happy to start over. She was just glad she had her big sister and her friends, to guide her.
“Anna” Elsa said, knocking on the door. “Are you awake?”
“I am!” Anna called from her room. “I’ll be out in 5”
“Okay” Elsa called back. “We need to take our breakfast on the road. Do you want to bring ham and cheese or turkey and cheese?”
“Both, please” Anna replied.
Elsa chuckled, “both it is then, snow pop” she said. Anna heard Elsa’s footsteps go down the stairs.
Anna quickly got dressed and gathered her items, placing them in her backpack. Then she went downstairs.
“Okay, I’m ready” Anna said happily.
“Good. Here you go” Elsa said as she handed the small sophomore her sandwich(s). “I know you hate rushing, and Mama and Papa always hated when we’d rush too” Elsa sighed. “But I woke up this morning and remembered that the senior student council needs to create flyers for the talent show that’s at the end of August..”
“Elsa” Anna said.
“And I just, I don’t want to disappoint my team! Or, or you, Anna. I’m the student body president. I have been for the last four years” Elsa rambled.
“Elsa” Anna said again.
“And then you know with Mama and Papa’s one year anniversary coming up, my head and heart are just in shambles. It’s so hard, Anna. I’m only 18 and it feels like-” Elsa was cut off.
“Elsa!” Anna exclaimed “Elsa, just calm down,” Anna said as she placed a hand on her sister’s shoulder. “I understand you are stressed. And I can’t imagine becoming the legal guardian to your baby sister makes it any easier. But you are not alone in this. I can help you. Rapunzel can help you. I’m on the sophomore student council this year, remember? I can talk to them about helping the senior student council create the talent show flyers”
“I’m sorry” Elsa said, tears formed in her eyes. Anna wiped them away with her thumb.
“Don’t be. Let’s just go to school. Okay?” Anna told her. Elsa squeezed Anna’s hand that was on her shoulder.
“Okay” Elsa smiled softly. Elsa and Anna left their apartment and went to the car.
The drive to school was short, they didn’t live far from it. After Agnarr and Iduna passed away. The sisters decided it was the best decision to move to a two bedroom apartment. The best price was a two bedroom apartment that had two floors and 1 bathroom. It was about 15 minutes away from the school by car, 25 to 30 minutes by biking and 35+ minutes by walking. Elsa picked up on two jobs to make sure she could help pay for the monthly cost of the apartment, and with the help of her Uncle Fred and Aunt Arianna, things worked out eventually.
Elsa pulled up to the school and parked in the reserved parking space.
“You good for today?” Elsa asked as she removed the dust off of her pants.
“I’m good. I’ll see you after school, then?” Anna asked.
“You know where to find me” Elsa winked. She then walked away.
Anna grabbed her backpack and went to find Rapunzel, Naomi and Elena. As well as the rest of her friends. She truly was closest to Rapunzel, Naomi and Elena though. Mainly because Naomi and Rapunzel are her cousins (they are fraternal twin sisters) and Elena is Naomi’s best friends. In time though, Anna and Elena grew to be best friends too.
Anna met up with Rapunzel, Elena and Naomi.
"Hey guys! I've missed you" Anna said cheerily.
"Anna, we just saw each other the other day" Rapunzel jokes. Anna rolled her eyes.
"You know what I mean Raps. Today is the first day of 10th grade! and I can feel it now. We are going to have-" Anna was cut off by Eugene's step sister.
"FITZHERBERT!" Cassandra yelled.
"Yuh oh" Rapunzel commented.
"Angry friend alert, Angry friend alert" Anna said like an artificial intelligence device.
"Better go stop Cass before she murders your boyfriend, Rapunzel" Naomi teased. Anna busted out laughing. Rapunzel shot her a glare.
"Okay yup, shutting up now, sorry" Anna whispered.
"Okay 1, he's not my boyfriend, and 2, yeah on it" Rapunzel replied as she ran to where her best friend and best guy friend were at.
Rapunzel Turner:
"Whoa guys, what's going on?" Rapunzel asked.
"Rapunzel, I love you, but HOW can my dingus of a step brother be your boyfriend?" Cass asked.
"He's not my boyfriend" Rapunzel replied.
"Yeah, Cassandra, I'm not her boyfriend" Eugene argued, "wait, I'm not?"
"No? I mean you're a boy who's my friend so technically you're my boyfriend" Rapunzel rambled, Cass raised an eyebrow, "But NOT my boyfriend in a romantic way and WAIT why am I talking about this? What is going on? why are you two fighting? it is literally the start of the school year?"
"Look at what your boyfriend not romantic boyfriend did to my backpack!" Cass whined as she opened her locker and showed Rapunzel a backpack drenched with water.
"Eugene, what did you do to Cass' backpack?" Rapunzel asked.
"It was an accident!" Eugene argued, "Look, blondie" he placed a hand on her shoulder, "I was taking it to the car when the Stabbington twins saw me. I was in a panic because back in the days I was the schools punk, I pulled some pretty rude pranks on them, so I dropped whatever I had and ran"
"So it was an accident" Rapunzel said. Eugene nodded.
"I'm really sorry Cass. Honest. I'll buy you lunch" Eugene offered.
"Make it lunch for the next 2 weeks and I'll pretend you didn't just ruin my new backpack" Cass offered.
"Fine" Eugene grumbled.
"Good, now that this whole argument is settled. Who do you have for first class?" Rapunzel asked.
"I have Mr. Frollo" Eugene shuddered.
"And I have Mr. Jafar" Cassandra shuddered as well.
"oooh ouch" Rapunzel said.
"Who do you have Blondie?" Eugene asked.
"I have Mr. Lightyear for space and science" Rapunzel smirked.
"What? no fair! everyone knows Lightyear is the chillest teacher ever" Eugene whined.
"Yeah, he's really cool" Cass commented.
"Well, maybe if you two spent less time arguing and more time getting along . Mr. Lightyear would've accepted you into his class" Rapunzel told them.
"You know" Eugene said as he placed an arm around her, "I hate when you're right"
Rapunzel pushed his face away and laughed, "then you must hate me all the time"
"Rapunzel! Come on" Anna called.
"I gotta run, but just try to get along please" Rapunzel begged.
"Fine" Cass muttered.
"Anything for you blondie" Eugene shrugged.
"Thank you, gotta run, bye! love you" Rapunzel said as she jogged away.
"Love you!" Cass and Eugene said in sync.
'if only you actually knew' Eugene said in his thoughts.
"alright Cass. I am off. See you later" Eugene said with a sigh as he walked away.
Rapunzel caught up to her sister, cousin and friend.
"He likes you, you know" Anna told her.
"You're being ridiculous" Rapunzel told her.
"I am not. I know when a guy likes my cousin, and Eugene just so happens to be a guy who likes my cousin" Anna argued.
"How can you be so sure?" Rapunzel asked.
"I just know, what matters now is if you're going to come to terms with how you feel" Anna told her.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Rapunzel said as she fiddled with her fingers.
"Seriously? you're fidgeting and you only fidget when you're trying to hide something" Anna commented.
"I don't fidget" Rapunzel tried to argue. They got to Mr. Lightyear's class. Where they were greeted by Belle, Aurora and Ariel.
"Hey girls" Ariel said with a smile, "Oooh, Rapunzel, why are you fidgeting? Something going on with Eugene?"
"I don't fidget!" Rapunzel tried to argue again.
"Alright, alright" Anna said as she put her hands up. "I won't push you to talk about it"
"Thank you" Rapunzel smiled.
"We'll just talk about it at Belle's house this Friday" Anna told her.
"I should've seen this coming" Rapunzel said. She couldn't help but smile. "If I give in and give you some soppy, overly dramatic, girly talk about how I feel for Eugene, will you leave me alone with this?
"And you don't enjoy those types of talks?" Anna laughed.
"No, I do" Rapunzel told her, she smirked evilly, "I just enjoy them when it's about you and Kristoff"
"Oh, we can always have those types of talks about me and Kristoff, it- hey! you tricked me!" Anna whined.
"Ah hah!" Rapunzel said with a cheer, "So you do like him"
"No! wait, why are we talking about Me and Bjorgman? this is about you and Fitzherbert" Anna tried to argue.
"We can talk more about this at Belle's house on Friday" Rapunzel smirked, "like you said"
Anna groaned, "Fine"
