sometimes, yoongi thinks in color. it sucks so far.
red. red for victory. the color of the outfit he wore during the MAMAs. red for passion. the rich swirl of motivation and confidence that surrounded him. red for love. the color of namjoon’s lips when he nibbles at them absentmindedly, swelling cherry red. red for power, for energy, for desire.
yellow. yellow for joy. for the gold woven tendrils of hair tickling his face when he buries it in namjoon’s head. yellow for the beauty he sees in the world, the smile that rewards him when he presents namjoon with a sunflower. yellow for thoughtfulness. yellow for the happiness that pursues him instead of the other way around. yellow for euphoria, for elation, for innocence.
orange. orange for compassion. orange for the support and determination joon has provided. orange for inspiration. orange for the bright bursts of joy he feels when he reads through every single comment on their songs. orange for the ballooning of energy he experiences onstage. orange for ferocity, for drive, for enthusiasm.
green. green for luck. the luck ever since they spent all that time living together ever since. green for harmony. the collaboration. the sensation of being able to lose himself in namjoon’s arms, of being willing to take a step back from reality to just, be. green for renewal. yoongi can’t help but think about the prosperity it will bring to him. yet, it seems wealth is second place when it comes to namjoon. green for hope, for naturalness, for growth.
blue. blue for intelligence. blue for the serenity of the days he spends next to namjoon. blue for responsibility. blue to take care of him, to love him, to give him what he deserves. blue for reliability and trustworthiness, the mood of dependability. blue for falling in with namjoon. blue for calmness, for soothing deep midnights with nothing but city lights in the distance.
purple. purple for royalty. purple for the color of the bed they bought together with their first ever album earnings. purple for spirituality. purple for connecting into depths with joon, further than ever with a person. purple for trusting and loving and lasting.
pink. pink for playful. the color of joon’s cheeks with yoongi. pink for the blinding lights they see on stage. pink for sophistication. pink for their first kiss. pink for tenderness, for empathy, for lust.
