She always wanted to go to U.A.
But because Recovery girl was closely related to her, they sent her to Shiketsu High school instead.
But Rosalie wouldn't let that stop her from achieving her dream of becoming who she always wanted to be.
Since Shiketsu and U.A. were the best schools in Japan, they always grant the students the opportunity do be an exchange student at U.A. It was a highly sought after spot and many students tried their best. But only one would get to achieve this dream.
Every year U. A. High School holds a sports festival. Every year, Shiketsu sends their ten best first year students to participate. Whoever ranks highest out of those ten will get to Study at U.A.
After many hardships, three Students from Shiketsu were left. Rosalie was proud to be one of them. But she wouldn't stop there. Her next match was against someone by the name of "Tenya Iida". She saw him earlier. He was extremely fast, it had to be his qurik. She knew that the match would be over within seconds so she had to act quick if she wanted to beat him.
Their fight was announced and she went up onto the battlefield. When their eyes met for the first time, it felt like time stopped for a moment. Rosalie felt her face getting hot and Iida couldn't take his eyes off of her. It felt like the moment lasted forever when suddenly...
"STAAAART"
Present Mic's voice shrieked loudly.
Rosalie composed herself and took off her Necklace while running towards Iida. He took a second to realize what was happening and ran towards her at a very high speed using his engine quirk.
Before she could do anything she picked her up, put her over his shoulder and ran to the border. Then he stopped. He didn't understand why he stopped or what was happening. But he couldn't move.
"Put me down", Rosalie said in a stern tone.
He complied. Looking at her he realized her hand was stretched out towards him and her eyes had a faint glow to them.
"Thank you. And, I'm sorry".
With these words she moved her hand towards the border and his body followed. He was struggling but he couldn't resist whatever this power was.
"Iida is out of bounds! Rosalie advances to the next round!"
The people Cheered while Present Mic talked about Rosalie's Quirk.
Iida was shook. How come he couldn't control his own body? Was it her eyes? Could she control him with a single stare?
"Her quirk allows her to heal wounds with her blood! But be careful - get on her bad side and she will control you as soon as her blood touches you!".
He touched his neck and sure enough, there was some of her blood she managed to get on there.
"I'm really sorry about that", said Rosalie.
Iida turned around and looked at her. She looked at him empathetically. "I have to get as far as I can in the sports festival. I have to! I want to go to U.A. more than anything!". He understood. He felt the same. It's all he ever wanted: To go to U.A. and Bring honor to the Iida family name.
"It's quite alright! You won fair and square, no doubt about it. I think you have a lot of potential. Keep working hard and you'll be my classmate before you know it!", he replied.
She looked at him with widened eyes, then smiled and said "Thank you! I can't wait to train with you!".
Rosalie is back in her waiting room. She refilled her Necklace vessel by poking her finger a bit and letting the blood drip into it, when it knocked on her door.
She expected Recovery Girl to come see her after her match. But when she opened a door she saw a very tall, handsome and familiar face. It was Tenya Iida.
He smiled and said "Hello again. I hope I'm not interrupting you? I understand if you'd rather prepare alone.", he said with a smile on his face.
"O-oh! Heya! No no that's fine, come in. No hard feelings right?", she stammered with a smile, allowing him to enter the room.
He chuckled a bit "Of course not! Its all a friendly competition at the end of the day. Do you know who you're fighting next?".
"A girl named Azuka Yami. I think she's in the hero course. Is she the girl with the Book?", Rosalie replied.
"Ah! Yes. Her quirk is called 'Demon Book'. She can summon powerful demons to do her bidding. A very strong qurik.", Iida explained.
"Ah, I see. Well, I'll do my best!", she said cheerfully.
Iida smiled at her. He liked the enthusiasm she showed. "So", he started, "You're from Shiketsu High school? And I presume you're competing for the exchange program?". "Yes I am! I always wanted to go to U.A. But my parents were afraid people would say I only got in because Recovery Girl is my grandmother. If I - no - when I get the spot through the sports festival everyone will know that I have earned it!", Rosalie explained with a very determined look in her eyes.
Iida smiled.
- Rosalie Shuuzenji, please come to the stadium -
"Welp, sounds like my fight is about to begin!", she said as she got up and walked to the door. "Maybe you can tell me how your quirk works sometime in class? Or maybe over dinner?", she said with a wink. Iida blushed and stammered "I-I uhm, y-yes that sounds lovely. G-good luck out there!". Rosalie blushed as well and smiled, as she headed for the stadium.
Her plan was to wait for a demon to be summoned and throw the blood vile on them, to attack her opponent with them.
She walked up onto the battle field and stood across a girl with turquoise-green hair and a very stern expression. Rosalie took of her necklace and readied herself.
She had to beat her. She had to fulfill her dream. She had to.
"STAAAART"
Azuka raised her hand an muttered "liber", when a dark book appeared in her hand. Just seconds later a black cloud formed and took shape of a big, black wolf and a white, lamb-like creature with a mask holding a bow. After they formed she noticed that Azuka was now wearing a mask, half resembling the wolf, half the lamb.
Rosalie was stunned in awe but regained her composure quickly and started running towards the wolf creature with the vile in her hand. The shadow started running towards her and when she got close enough she threw her vial at it. She got excited when she saw it had blood on its face but realized that it wasn't stopping. It hit her in the chest with its large head and sent her flying. She got back up and tried again to control it, without luck. If she wanted to win this, she needed to get close to Azuka, which would be near impossible with the two shadow creatures to guard her. But Rosalie wasn't ready to give up. She started running towards Azuka again and tried to get past the wolf but to no avail. The shadow creature rammed into her again and she flew back. Again and again. Rosalie got back up, hurting all over. But she couldn't stop. She couldn't give up her dream. She got up again and again and again. And then.. She fell. Her body was out of energy, her legs couldn't support her anymore and she couldn't move.
Miss Midnight walked over to her, as the demons went back to Azuka.
"Rosalie is K.O.'d. Azuka advances to the next round!"
"N-no..", stammered Rosalie, defeated.
"Please.. I can still fight. I have to win this."
But her determination wasn't enough. She couldn't move an inch.
They took her off the battlefield as Present Mic's Voice reverberated through the Stadium: "Rosalie had a good strategy, but her Quirk only works on humans and objects! Azuka's Demons are shadow creatures, so her quirk didn't affect them! Crrrreeepy!"
Rosalie regained consciousness in Recovery Girl's office. One kiss from her and she was tired but mobile again.
"I can't believe I lost. I was so close!"
"Don't be so hard on yourself darling. Azuka's quirk is very hard to get past. I wouldn't be surprised if she wins today", Recovery Girl assured her.
Before Rosalie could respond the door swung opened and Tenya Iida came through, looking worried.
"Rosalie! Are you alright? You really gave it your all and fought admirably!"
"If by that you mean got thrown around like a volleyball, then yeah I did great."
"I don't see why you're being so negative Rosalie, you've achieved your goal!", Iida said.
She looked up at him with widened eyes.
"What? What do you mean?"
"Well", he started, "there was only one other student that got as far as you did today. But they were K.O.'d before you were. Meaning that out of all the Shiketsu Students, you're at the top!".
She stared at him in shock: "Are... You serious?"
Iida nodded happily and pointed to the TV screen in Recovery Girls Room where the Shiketsu Students Ranking was displayed. And there she was. At the number one spot. She did it!
Rosalie jumped up in joy and hugged Iida tightly, squealing with Joy.
"I did it! I did it!"
After realizing what she's doing, she backed off and they both blushed a bit.
"U-um.. I guess this means we can talk in class instead of over Dinner. But i-if you'd like. I'd still like to take you out some time and get to know you better... Classmate?", Iida said flustered.
Rosalie giggled and very happily agreed when another person entered the Room.
"Hi. I wanted to make sure you're okay. My demons can get a bit rough", Azuka said.
"Oh hey! Yeah Im alright. Good fight! I will be rooting for you! You better not lose and make me look bad", Rosalie said jokingly.
Azuka smiled softly "I'll do my best", and left.
