Work Text:

Ochaco was a very strong-willed girl.

She stood her ground against Bakugou, did the same against Toga, and even saved her best friend Izuku on many different occasions.

So, it was no secret that she was a very capable young lady.

However, that didn't mean she was immune to some of the many nuisances in life.

Right now, Ochaco had a pretty bad fever. It wasn't anything too severe, Recovery Girl said herself that she should be back in top shape in no time if she took the right amount of medicine and indulged herself in plenty of well deserved rest.

Her classmates all wished her a speedy recovery and she was thankful for that.

Izuku was worried about his best friend, but he knew it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. He knew since long ago to not underestimate Ochaco Uraraka.

He had always felt indebted to her, he recalled countless times in which she was involved in helping him in some sort of way.

He wanted to thank her.

He decided on making her some rice porridge as a way to show his appreciation for her.

Besides Bakugou, there was no one better than Izuku when it came to cooking among the students of class 1-A.

Before he got his quirk, Izuku wanted to find at least one thing he was competent at. Cooking just so happened to be that thing.

He also knew better than to ask Bakugou for any favors. Besides, a gift is supposed to come from the heart. Izuku would make sure to put his all into making this porridge the best it can possibly be.

As he finished the porridge, Izuku poured some of the contents into some Tupperware and made his way towards Ochaco's floor.

Normally, boys wouldn't be allowed into a girl's room but after conversing with Aizawa, the teacher gave him exclusive permission into Ochaco's room.

As he approached, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. After all, this would be the first time he'd ever been inside a girl's room.

With three knocks, Izuku eagerly awaited for Ochaco to allow him entry. When she spotted him, she was surprised as to why he was there, but she wasn't going to complain. Any time spent with him was good time in her opinion.

She spotted the Tupperware in his hands and drooled over the thought of eating some of his food. He explained his reasoning and she thanked him as soon as those words left his mouth.

She would have hugged him if it wasn't for the fact that she was sick at the moment.

With that thought in mind, Ochaco politely asked Izuku to leave. Not that she didn't want him there, quite the opposite really, but she didn't want to get him sick aswell.

Izuku begrudgingly complied and wished her another speedy recovery before closing the door to her room.

After he left, Ochaco stared at her ceiling as the fluttering in her heart picked up its intensity.
