* Tanjiro would have figured out you were pregnant before you did do to how you smelled. It was different then how you usually did but it did smell similar to how pregnant women smelled. He tried to hide the fact he knew but when he makes that face, you knew something was up and he told you after you called his bluff. Despite not being able to surprise him with the news, Tanjiro was ecstatic by his upcoming role as a father! The look on his face as he places a gentle hand on your stomach is absolutely priceless.
* Tanjiro would be one of the more experienced of the bunch alongside with Sanemi and Kyojuro. Having helped taken care of his younger siblings will help him greatly in raising his own kids.
* Yes, he would want kids, plural. He would want maybe two or three, hoping for a good mix of boys and girls but no matter the number or gender, Tanjiro would love and adore his child/ children completely.
* Tanjiro would do anything you asked him to do during your pregnancy. You were craving cold soba from the food cart on the other side of town? He’s on his way there now! Your feet are swelling like a balloon? He’s giving you a foot massage. He was at your beck and call but you would never want to abuse your husband’s kind nature.
* Tanjiro would be with you during the delivery, holding your hand the entire time while you pushed. To say Tanjiro wasn’t crying when he finally met his child would be a lie, relieved that he could start his own family now with the threat of demons coming to take them away from him.
* Tanjiro would be extremely active in raising his child. He would insist on changing their diapers, taking them along on trips and visits, and teaching them all they knew. The patience Tanjiro had for his kid was immaculate, always there to help calm them down and talk to them, no matter what the problem was.
* The way you found out your kid has Tanjiro’s strong forehead was when Tanjiro and child were playing and in their excitement, his kid smacked his head against Tanjiro’s. Tanjiro freaked out at first, wondering if his child was hurt but when they laughed and tried again, Tanjiro couldn’t help but beam, proud he was able to pass that trait onto them!
* If your child gains Tanjiro’s sense of smell, he would absolutely delighted! He would help them sharpen their skills, detect different smells, and even try to surpass his skills! If they don’t, he would help his kid find their own skill and develop that! Either way, it’s great bonding for both father and child!
* Nezuko would be a supportive aunt, being an active participant when it came to the pregnancy and parenthood. She would tells stories from her time as a demon, the antics Tanjiro got into with Zenitsu and Inosuke and even earlier memories from their childhood. Your child was starstruck by these stories and always wanted more, much to Tanjiro’s embarrassment and your laughter.
* Tanjiro didn’t know what fatherhood would hold for him, wondering if his mother or father would be proud of him, proud of the family he made for himself. Nezuko and you would reassure him that his family would be proud of him, no matter what.
