Jimin and Taehyung have always been together. They were born in the same hospital, the same room. They grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school and slowly, but all at once came together. Like a crashing wave, they fell together with little to no problems. They fell in love, so young, so quickly. Soulmates.
But a binding bond like that isn’t real like they are. However perfect they seem to be, they still have issues. They have doubts, misunderstandings, fights, they cried, they screamed, they felt pain just like everyone.
They don’t always talk, sometimes they cuddle, make food, take a walk, or even just sit around their apartment. When they do talk, it’s quietly, whispered words, hands being held and tears in their eyes. It isn’t perfect, but it’s them.
And today, Taehyung is in pain, and he needs his soulmate, his boyfriend, his world.
See, Taehyung has been thinking lately, and he’s been wondering how people can fall out of love. How they can just leave, after so long. How easy it seems for them.
He’s been with Jimin for his entire life, and has never once thought of ever leaving, doesn’t think himself capable of doing it unless he wants to rip his own heart out.
So when Jimin comes home, back to their apartment, he rushes to him and pulls him tightly to his chest, he’s shaking. He’s holding him so desperately that his knuckles turn white.
“Hey baby, what’s going on?” Jimin asks once he realizes Tae’s shaking.
“Missed you, love you, need you.” Tae mumbles into Jimin’s shoulder.
“Baby? Do you wanna talk?” he whispers quietly, running his fingers up and down Tae’s back and sides soothingly.
He feels Tae shake his head, and then quietly moves them to the couch.
They get situated on the couch, Jimin on his back, and Taehyung on top of him, laying against his chest, listening to Jimin’s heartbeat. He feels his chest tightening. His eyes start to burn, but he quickly blinks them away.
Taehyung feels Jimin wiling his face and gently touching his chin to lift his face. He looks at his boyfriend, his beautiful, amazing, caring boyfriend, and sees the worry, the love, the gentleness in his eyes. He pushes himself up enough to kiss him softly. He takes his time, slowly kissing him, neither deepening it nor making a move to pull away. He just needs this, his boyfriend being close.
Jimin pulls back slightly to look at Tae, to really look. He sees sadness, he sees uncertainty, he sees fear for the future, but he also sees hope. He smiles gently and leans down to press a kiss to Taehyung’s head.
He reaches further down to lightly press kisses all over Taehyung’s face, his cheeks, his nose, his eyelids, his forehead and he moves down to his lips and waits.
“I love you more than anything in this entire world Taehyungie, you have no idea how much you amaze me. My precious, adorable, energetic baby boy.” He says gently before kissing Taehyung like his life depends on it.
He pulls Tae up towards himself and grasps the back of his neck with one hand to pull Tae closer and intertwines their fingers with his other.
Taehyung loves these kisses, loves feeling Jimin so close. He lets out a soft whine when Jimin pulls back, and starts pressing sloppy kisses to his neck and collarbones.
He hears Jimin let out a quiet moan and looks up, and is met with a gorgeous sight. Jimin is panting slightly and his eyes look slightly dazed and unfocused, his lips are a beautiful red from their kisses before. He’s beautiful like this. So incredibly beautiful.
“Jiminie, I love you so much baby, more than you know.” He smiles gently when he hears Jimin whimper.
He presses a few hard kisses to Jimin’s lips, dragging down to his chin and jaw. He sucks a few marks there.
He then kisses him gently and puts his hand over Jimin’s heartbeat to feel his heart racing. He keeps kissing him gently to calm him down, and while Tae will never complain about kissing Jimin, he pulls away after he feels Jimin’s heartbeat calm down. He nuzzles into Jimin’s neck and hears his boyfriend giggle.
“Jiminie, are you here?” he mumbles into his neck, smiling. He presses kisses there and leaves a few marks for good measure.
“Mn. Just give me a second baby.” He whispers against Tae’s hair. He brings his hand up to run through Tae’s hair and softly down his neck.
Jimin suddenly remembers that Tae was upset earlier and asks him about it quietly.
“You feeling better now baby boy?” he feels Tae smile against him and he knows, he knows.
The boy he’s loved for so many years, who loves him back is here, in his arms, and right now, they’re more than okay.
They have each other, and that’s all they need. That’s all they’ve ever needed.
