The Annual Yuuei University Fest was right around the corner and Shouto had his DSLR ready for all the wonderful shots he had to take. Being a first year, it was his first time experiencing the legendary fest. Rumour has it that most first years find friends for a lifetime and even soulmates through this occasion. Shouto, however, had already succeeded at finding great friends in the past 4 months.
Shouto was rolling on his bed muttering loudly about how he had still not mastered editing a full-fledged one-hour movie, when his roommate, Bakugou cut through his train of thoughts.
“IT’S BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE YOU STARTED MAJORING IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND EDITING! CAN YOU STOP WHINING LIKE A BABY”, he yelled. Bakugou was Shouto’s first friend on campus, though Bakugou never let him label their relationship as ‘friendship’. Despite his constant denial, Shouto considered him his best friend.
‘That doesn’t matter. The fest is tomorrow, and I need to be able to edit the whole thing in such a way that it gets uploaded to the Yuuei website!”
“Isn’t Yaoyorozu helping you on this? You were a team, right?” Bakugou asks. He does not really have to be worried about the fest as his band had already prepared the performance of a lifetime to showcase the next day. Afterall, he was a Yuuei student majoring in music.
“Of course, she is, except that she took on the job of photography and coordinating with the cameramen. So, I need to do the rest”.
“Oh well, you know you’ll be able to do it with that genius mind of yours. So, how about shutting up and sleeping? I need to calm down my nerves for tomorrow”
“Wow! Is Bakugou Katsuki nervous? Weren’t you going to destroy those drums?”
“Yes, I am nervous, half-and-half bastard! I am human too. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to kill the performance.” Bakugou says with a smirk on his face.
“Of course, you’re going to kill it!” Shouto says as he offers his fist for a fist bump. Bakugou snickers and bumps his fist against Shouto’s.
He has two best friends already. Does he really need more? Does he need a soulmate?
Midoriya Izuku was at the verge of dozing off when Uraraka shook him violently.
“Deku-kun! Did you catch even a blink of sleep last night?” she asked Izuku with a worried look on her face.
“Umm.. not really.” Uraraka’s face turns grave “I had to finish the model on time for our display to be perfect!”
“I understand how driven you are Deku-kun, I really do. But, sometimes, you need to slack off. If you are THIS sleepy, you won’t be able to enjoy the fest in it's full force!”
“Oh come on Uraraka! Don’t mom me right now” Izuku complained “I’ll be fine”
Uraraka sighs as they get back to setting up the Political Science exhibit. Iida and Hagakure, the other two members of their group also divert their attention from the mother-son quarrel to decorating the display.
Just when they finished, Izuku saw a huge red blob running towards them. As his vision cleared through his groggy eyes, an excited, jumpy Kirishima appeared in front of him.
“Guys, you done yet? We need to get our dashing selves ready for the grand fest.” He says as he pushes Midoriya and Iida towards the boys’ dorms. Kirishima waves his hand at Uraraka and Hagakure directing them to return and get decked up.
“What’s got him so excited for today?” asks a confused Iida
“He’s just riled up because of the rumours that say that you find your soulmate at the Annual Yuuei University Fest” Izuku replies almost uninterestingly.
“Midoriya, my man, I certainly believe that I will find the one today, tonight, at the fest.” Kirishima beams “And honestly, even if I don’t, I will surely be able to make some friends, so that’s good enough”
Izuku nods with smile on his face. Kirishima is the most open, happy and genuine person he’s ever known. He feels lucky to have him by his side as his roommate, as his partner in crime and as the only person that can pull him out of his books to watch his volleyball match and cheer for him. Izuku knows that Kirishima is so kind and soft-hearted because of the sportsman spirit in him. However, don’t be mistaken, he won’t let you win against him that easily, especially not in Volleyball, his major.
Though Izuku doesn’t quite agree on that soulmate philosophy of his.
Shouto is in a dilemma about what he should wear to the fest and the only solution that pops into his mind is texting Yaoyorozu.
Shouto [14:23]
Momo, tell me what to wear today!
Yaoyorozu [14:28]
What do you mean? You haven’t picked out what to wear, yet?!
Shouto [14:28]
It took you a whole five mins to reply huh. And no, I haven’t. So, help me out, will you?
Yaoyorozu [14:29]
Oh god Shouto. Send me a picture of your closet, quick.
Shouto [14:30]

Okay, so first, pick out those leather pants and the blue satin shirt. Tuck it in slightly. Wear those jet-black shoes with it and don’t forget to wear only black socks okay? Wear the silver bracelet too because it was a gift from me duh.
Shouto [14:36]

Hot enough to snatch most of the girls and gays in town;)

Yaoyorozu [14:38]
And Shouto, I know Bakugou is not there to remind you so, I will. There is no need to hide your scar with foundation. I hope you remember that. It doesn’t embarrass you in any way. I hope you learn to embrace it soon.
Shouto [14:40]
Okay:) thanks momo. I know you and Blasty always have my back.
Yaoyorozu [14:40]
Okay, now get your ass down here. I'm near the stage. Bakugou's band is about to start rehearsing! Don't wanna miss it!
Shouto [14:41]
Be there in a flash.
Shouto is quite impressed by Yaoyorozu’s dressing sense but he didn’t know that it was so mind blowing for everybody he walked by, to stare at him like they would swallow him up.
He soon realized that he was not prepared for the day that draws forward.
