This was her fault…
There’s absolutely no doubt about it…
Every time the League would attack them, she was the reason they were there, the reason that the villains even had the knowledge of their whereabouts and abilities, making it harder to defend themselves.
On the surface, there was a happy ending.
Bakugou was saved from the League of Villains, Class 1-A moved into dorms, allowing them to be closer while still keeping them safe. It was a win-win all around the board.
Just… not for (Y/N).
While yes, she did get her friend back, her family situation is a completely different story. According to the League, (Y/N) had failed in helping them with their plans in kidnapping and converting Bakugou to join the villains.
So, with Shigaraki promising the death of her family in the next few days, push has finally come to shove.
“M-Mr. Aizawa?” her unusually somewhat shy voice called out – the anxiety creeping into her bones with what would have to be said and the potential consequences that come with it. The hands on the clock barely struck 10PM, though most, if not all, of her classmates had already retired to their rooms.
Curfew was at 10:30, so there was some logic behind the idea that her teacher would still be awake.
After what felt like hours of waiting but no answer, (Y/N) was about ready to leave, to try again first thing in the morning, before the quiet sound of muffled footsteps came from the opposite side of the door.
“(L/N)? What are you still doing up?” the tired, monotonous voice of Shota Aizawa mumbled, dark, drooping eyes staring at his student with confusion. He had the right to assume that she had already gone to bed, seeing as no one else was in the common room making a commotion, so he wondered what brought her here at such a late hour - and looking like something was bothering her too.
“Can I… can I talk to you about something?” (Y/N) whispered, afraid that if she spoke too loudly all the occupants of the dorm would hear her.
Aizawa didn’t question or ask if it could wait till the morning, he’d studied each of his students, taking note of personality and behaviour, their levels of responsibility and skill sets. (Y/N) was one of those students that acted when appropriate, came to those when need be and if she has come to him today, at this very moment, there must be a significant reason for it.
Wordlessly the raven-haired teacher nodded, moving to the side and allowing his student into his office, ready to listen to every word she says.

The next morning brought sunny skies, warm weather and the start of Class 1-A’s, as well as the rest of UA’s, two-week recovery period, a time set for everyone to sort things out with all the recent happenings. Most of the class was already sitting in the common room whispering amongst each other, wondering what was going on and why their teacher wanted them all in one place to talk. Had something happened? Was it the League again?
“What do you think this is about (Y/N)-chan?” Uraraka questioned, brown eyes locking with her own (e/c) ones. Despite knowing exactly what was going on, (Y/N) shrugged.
“I’m not sure…” Before the brunette could say another word, everyone fell completely silent, Aizawa walking back into the room with the last of the students needed trailing behind him. The lazy man gestured to the few remaining seats available, silently telling them to take a seat.
“I apologize for gathering you all on such short notice, but one of you has something important to say…” Aizawa’s dark eyes gazed at the nervous student, offering her a nod before stepping to the side, “Come on up (L/N)…” All eyes shifted from the male and onto the female, gazes laced with confusion.
Steeling her nerves, the (h/c) haired student stood from her seat, legs quaking with each step forward. Only negative thoughts clouded her mind, everyone will hate her, the other teachers are going to expel her from UA.
(Y/N) wouldn’t blame them though, after her act of treason, it’s expected.
“It’s alright (L/N)…” The abnormal gentleness of Aizawa coaxes her into taking a breath, eyes scanning her fellow classmates before her lips part, the first words stuttering out, slow and quiet, then escalating into an avalanche, unable to stop once started.
“I-I’m sorry. It’s all my fault… I was giving the L-League of Villains information on us, about w-what we were doing and where we’d b-be. I d-didn’t w-want to, I s-swear…” With each word she spoke her voice crack and broke more, unable to hold the emotions that’s been piling up inside. The regret, the fear – it’s become to must to bare.
Gasps from her classmates resound all around her and she half expected them all to start beating the hell out of her while cussing at her for betraying them.
But what did happen left her mind reeling. Warmth enveloped her torso and green locks obscured her vision.
“If you didn’t mean to, then why?” Midoriya whispered, tightening his hold on his friend. He could tell by the way that she was acting that there was more to this story – everyone could. His words lead to (Y/N) continuing to spill what her situation is with the League and what they’ve done to her parents, even going on to show them the texts and pictures of them tied, gagged and beaten.
It was truly horrifying and heart retching.
Minutes passed, some filled with silence, others filled with crying and hugs full of comfort. Finally, someone broke the trace.
“What’s going to happen now?” Todoroki questioned, referring to not only the next steps to rescue (Y/N)’s family, but what was going to happen to the girl herself.
“Right, isn’t (Y/N) considered a traitor to UA?” Mina voiced sorrowfully. While she knows that everyone in Class 1-A might think (Y/N) isn’t, it doesn’t stop people like the police or other students and staff from saying otherwise.
Everyone visibly saddens.
“Sort of,” Aizawa states clearly, lazy eyes looking over all the faces of his students (who perked up just a little), “I’ve already gone over this with (L/N) but, while she did contact the League, they threatened her and had a hand in it. And since it wasn’t completely of her own accord, the staff at UA have decided that she may stay at UA. She’s not considered a villain in any of our eyes and if legal obstacles come her way, we’d all be there for her.”
For (Y/N) the next moments were a blur, even more gasps echoed in the large common room, so many warm hands and bodies crowded around her, like a moth rushing to a flame. Tears of joy and cheers of happiness were next – even some of the more stoic students cracked a smile.
They’ve all been through so much together, losing a friend like (Y/N) just wouldn’t be right.
And as she was smothered by her friends, more of her own tears sprung free – though now happy ones this time.
From that moment on, she knew that everything was going to be okay – so long as she had the students and teacher of Class 1-A at her side.
