The gentle sunlight peaked through the curtain, a rare sight given it’s the middle of winter. The Jeon household despite the cold felt warm as Taehyung started making their breakfast. Jungkook and Seokie are still fast asleep in their bedroom so Taehyung has enough time for himself to enjoy his morning tea. He smiled as he looked outside.
“It would be nice to have a picnic today,” Jungkook whispered as his alpha husband hugged him from behind, voice still lace with sleep. Even on his day off, Jungkook is still an early riser which made Taehyung happy. They can enjoy this small private time for themselves before their cute cockblocker started getting fussy.
Taehyung looked at his husband who’s eyes were puffy from sleep. He nearly cooed at the sight. In the office, all of Jungkook’s employees looked at their boss as someone so intimidating yet at home he looked just like a little puppy. Taehyung was blessed that he’s the only one who could witness this side of Jungkook. He’s glad he married this goofy alpha.
“Yes, it’s not too cold so maybe we can visit the park today? We can bring our lunch and eat outside. You go freshen up and I’ll start making our lunch,” Taehyung started to pepper Jungkook with kisses, making the other pout when Taehyung intentionally avoided his mouth.
“Kiss me first,” the alpha whined and who is Taehyung to deny such a cute request? He rolled his eyes though before giving in, muttering about morning breath jokingly.
Finally when Jungkook went ahead to take a bath, Taehyung started cooking for their lunch. Luckily when Seokie finally woke up, he was done with all of the preparations.
“Aigoo, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the crib,” the omega cooed as the baby started sniffling when he felt Taehyung’s soothing pheromones.
“Tete,” Seokie hiccuped, eyes stil puffy from crying. Taehyung smiled at him and attacked his pudgy cheeks with kisses. Finally the baby giggled, blessing their household with laughter from both Taehyung and him.
“Come to daddy, Seokie,” Jungkook made grabby hands so the baby looked at him, eyes sparkling once he recognize his dad. He giggled as Taehyung gave him to his husband.
“Let’s eat and we can go to the park afterwards, okay?”

After clothing Seokie with warm clothes, making both parents cooed at his cuteness. The family started walking to the nearby park.
Seokie started running around when they arrived, smiling widely when he saw their neighbor’s golden retriever SanSan. Jungkook and Taehyung greeted SanSan’s owner, Mrs. Choi.
“Omooo, Seokie looked so cute with his red coat,” the old lady gushed making the baby smile so wide. “He certainly is a sunshine baby!”
“Thank you, Mrs. Choi,” Taehyung smiled bashfully as Mrs. Choi continued to praise how handsome Seokie will become once he grow up, chattering about how many girls and boys alike will chase after him. This made both parents laugh. In their opinion, they don’t want Seokie to grow up so fast, like any other parents want. They just want to cherish every moment with their baby as long as they can.
Looking around, Jungkook saw Seokie you plucking a wild little flower and ran off to give it to someone he doesn’t recognize. Alpha instinct kicking in, he ran off to his son and to the other boy who looked so spook, looking down as Seokie offered the flower with wide smile.
“Give!” the baby exclaimed. The boy looked like he wanted to run, eyes going wider as he saw another person,smelling like an omega, approached them. The boy looked at the three, eyes going from the baby to both parents.
Why are these people approaching him? He thought, still a little stunned when the baby suddenly ran towards him.
“Hello, I’m Taehyung, this is my husband Jungkook and this is our son, Hoseok. We’re new to this neighbourhood to I hope we can become close,” Taehyung said. He felt a little guilty because the boy looked like he’s panicking, but he kept smiling, hoping this boy can fell that they’re not bad people.
As if something clicked, the boy sprinted away from them looking terrified as ever.
“I guess he’s not friendly at all,” Jungkook shrugged. He lifted Seokie when he felt his son pouted. “Let’s go eat our lunch, okay? We’re having cake for dessert.”
“Cake!” Seokie exclaimed. At least his mood was lifted after the whole scenario. Taehyung gave Jungkook a thankful smile while his husband just winked at him.

After encountering with the boy, Taehyung can’t help but feel a little bit concerned for him. He’s curious why the boy looked like somebody kicked his puppy when they approached him. Jungkook said not to bother so much about it but Taehyung felt the need to know the boy. After all, they’re gonna be neighbors for a while so being friends with the people around them will help his family for settling in better.
So the next day, after Jungkook went to work, Taehyung decided to visit the park with Seokie in hopes to meet the boy again. Luckily they found him on the swings alone.
“Tete,” Seokie exclaimed at Taehyung, as he recognize the boy from yesterday right away. Taehyung ruffled his hair, kissing his crown as they walked towards the swings. Hopefully today the can gain a new friend.
“Hello,” Taehyung said gently, praying the boy won’t be spook like the last time. Noticing a faint smell, Taehyung deduced the boy must be a beta. He smiled and offered a box of cupcakes to the other. “Seokie and I baked them yesterday night. These are apology cookies for scaring you yesterday.”
“Cookie, give!” Seokie clapped as the boy took the box, face a little flustered but thankfully he did not ran away this time.
“Ah, no-I mean thank you but you don’t have to do this. I-It’s my fault for running yesterday,” the boy bowed down profusely, Taehyung can’t help but chuckled. He was reminded when Jungkook looked like this after asking him for their first date. God, it’s been a while since they go out, just the two of them. Maybe he can ask for another date this time.
“Tete?” Seokie looked up to both of the adults, clearly forgotten. Taehyung lifted him in front of the boy. “His name is Seokie, right baby? Say nice to meet you to hyungie.”
“Uh, my name’s Jihoon. I mean Park Jihoon. Nice to meet you, too Seokie.”
Unexpectedly both Seokie and Jihoon bowed at one another making their heads bumped a little. Jihoon started panicking, what if the baby cried? His alpha dad looked intimidating. What if he will go to their house and beat Jihoon to pulp? What will his mother do? She’ll probably pinch his ears for making a baby cry.
But before Jihoon’s thought spiralled down a dark hole, the baby smiled, making grabby hands at the other. “He wants to be your friend, Jihoonie.” Taehyung said as he give his son to Jihoon’s clumsy hands.
“Wha-what? Oh my God hyung, take him! I might drop him!” Jihoon frantically give the baby back to his omega dad but Taehyung just laughed at the beta’s cuteness.
“Hoonie!” the baby exclaimed.
“We’ll I guess being friends with you is not bad,” the beta muttered which Taehyung heard,making him smile.
He was proud with Seokie today. He made his very first friend.

Today, as Jungkook, Taehyung and their baby took a warm bath, all Seokie blabbered was about Jihoon.
“Who is this Jihoon kid anyway? I’m starting to feel a little bit jealouse of him,” the alpha expressed his sadness by pouting and fake crying in front of his son. Taehyung just rolled his eyes amusingly. Intimidating alpha, my ass.
“He was the kid we met when we had our picnic at the park. He’s sweet and he helped around taking care of Seokie when he has time,” Taehyung explained as he started lathering Seokie with baby soap.
“Love Hoonie!” The baby giggled.
Jungkook fake cried again, asking what about him but the baby just laughed and exclaiming Jihoon’s name once again.
“He’s a little bit lonely I supposed since he doesn’t have a lot of friends from school. I guess I can’t help but relate to him. I was like that in the past. But this time, I don’t want the kid to experience what I experienced, being alone and felt out of place. I want him to know that Seokie is a great friend to him. I want him to know that we are here for him, too.” Taehyung’s voice felt nostalgic when he talked about his past. Jungkook is so proud of his mate for maturing this far and he expressed it to Taehyung, making the omega blushed as the alpha kissed his forehead affectionately.

It didn’t took long for Jihoon to become close with Seokie, given he spend most of his time in the Jeon household these days.
Even if it’s a little bit complicated to be friends with a baby, Jihoon was happy because he made a new friend. Seokie is a very cute baby he supposed.
Later that evening when Jungkook arrived, he looked at the living room where his cute son and Jihoon lied, sleeping soundly.
“Now we have a big kid, too.” Jungkook sighed affectionately, looking at the boys. “I’m worried this is going to develop like one of those soap operas you love to watch. Maybe this is Jihoon’s scheme to take Seokie away from us.”
“Idiot,” Taehyung muttered amusingly as he back-hugged his husband. Jungkook really felt like a human furnace and it feels really nice especially on winter days. “Do you know how scared Jihoonie looked like when you stared at him after meeting you in our house?”
“Of course, I’m the alpha and head of the family.”
Taehyung imagined Jihoon’s panicked face, whispering how he’s so not welcome to the Jeon household after Jungkook stared him down for a full five minutes.
“But I expected that much from you. Kinda reminded me of my old self, Jihoonie is.” Being mate with Taehyung and close friend of his for so long, Jungkook knew what that tone of voice sounds like. Pity and self-hatred.
He took Taehyung’s face, kissing him straight on the lips. “But I’m so proud of you, Taehyungie. Because you are not your old self anymore. You now know how to be able to think about other’s feelings. For that I am so grateful and very proud. I love you, baby.”
Everyday, Taehyung always thank God for giving him such a loving and supportive husband. Everyday he’s thankful for giving them a ray of sunshine, their baby boy Hoseokie.
“I’m proud of myself, too. Thank you for not giving up on me Jungkookie. I love you, too. So much.”
They kissed, full of love and passion. Both grateful they always found their way to one another.
“Ah, right. I got a week long vacation so let’s plan something, somewhere!”
“For real? I thought you were just joking about that leave.”
“Perks of being a boss, darling. Now give your dear husband a kiss.”
