Chapter 1: Start

Chapter Text

''JINKO! MOVE ASIDE!'' Chuuya rushed forward, his body was surrounded by a faint red. He grabbed Atsushi's collar and pulled the younger boy back as he punched one of the men who were aiming their guns at the weretiger. Dazai was with Akutagawa, dodging bullets easily while letting his former student do all the dirty work.

''Ah! Thank you Chuuya-san!'' Atsushi said as he knocked the last of the gunmen out. They were on a joint mission to retrieve an artifact that was stolen from the Port Mafia. They expected it to be an easy mission since they had a strong team but along the way, they experienced troublesome ability users who called their powers 'Quirks'. Whatever it was, they were weaker than the average gifted. It was how many they were that made it bothersome. ''Alright, now all we have to do is wait for that stupid mackerel to get the artifact and we can get out of this place,'' Chuuya growled as he leaned on a damaged wall he had broken during the fight. Atsushi nodded and went over to Akutagawa to help him get to a wall to lean on. Dazai soon appeared out of the basement of the enemy's base holding a small brown book.

''Hello~ Sorry to keep everyone waiting, I have the book. Let's go now, shall we?'' Dazai smiled cheerfully as he skipped over to the rest of his team.

''Seriously? All this trouble for a book? Honestly, what was the Port Mafia thinking?'' Chuuya grumbled as he stood up, picking up his coat and brushing the dust off it before placing it over his shoulders. Dazai hummed in response as he started walking to the pick-up point where the Port Mafia would send over a chopper to pick the four of them up. Akutagawa had his arm around Atsushi's shoulder who was helping him walk over to the other two who were already back to their bantering.

''You waste of bandages! All you did was let Akutagawa do all the work while you simply dodged all of the bullets!'' Chuuya fumed, glaring at Dazai who had a cheeky smirk on his face. ''Now, now, Chuuya. Without me, You couldn't have gotten the book! Your small brain wouldn't think twice before destroying the place with the precious artifact along with it~''

''Hah?! I could have a better job than you, bastard!'' Chuuya kicked at Dazai, aiming for his legs, for which Dazai easily dodged with a jump. ''So mean, Chibi~ But aren't you the least bit interested in this book? What secret it holds, I wonder.'' Dazai turned his attention back to the book in his hand, he inspected its cool leather cover. It didn't have a title, just a blank cover. ''You should be careful, Dazai-san. I believe there's a reason the Port Mafia sent the four of us on a private mission instead of other people.'' Atsushi and Akutagawa finally caught up with them. Dazai was about to reply when the group heard the familiar sound of the chopper.

''I want to request a leave tomorrow,'' Akutagawa grumbled as he sat down on the seats, putting on the belt. Chuuya let out a chuckle as he sat down on the seat opposite of Akutagawa. The other two followed suit and buckled in as well. Atsushi taking a seat beside Akutagawa while Dazai took his place beside Chuuya. They soon took off, leaving behind what was left of the enemy's base. They settled into comfortable silence after having a bit of small talk about the mission. Akutagawa falling asleep first then by Atsushi. Chuuya leaned back in his seat, his eyes flickering to Dazai who was looking out the window. He let out a sigh before closing his eyes and falling asleep as well.

Dazai looked over to Chuuya who was already sleeping, he smiled softly at the sight and reached his hand out to pat the chibi's head. Dazai took the hat off Chuuya, putting it on the empty seat beside himself. He then ran his hand through Chuuya's soft and silky hair. He had to admit, though he always insulted the other's style of fashion, It definitely fitted Chuuya. He finally gained some self-control and pulled his hand away, then placing the hat back on Chuuya. He let out a sigh before closing his own eyes and succumbing to the comfort of darkness. He suddenly felt a jolt as his body jerked forward. He opened his eyes only to be greeted with an unfamiliar sight.
