Sasuke's eyes were like rupturing volcanoes. Flames danced, fire pounded, and innocent animals died horrible deaths within them. He clenched his hands by his sides, as though resisting the urge to punch Sakura in the face.
"Calm down, Sasuke! I told you I was sorry." Sakura whined, pouting and looking miserable. Her green, pleading eyes turned towards Naruto, silently asking for help.
"Shit, teme, relax. She didn't mean to upset you," Naruto tried, but Sasuke didn't even spare him a glance. He stalked up to the cowering girl like a predator approaching prey.
Sakura's bottom lip began to tremble, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Please forgive me, Sasuke. I didn't mean to step on your tomatoes, I promise!"
The brunet halted and regarded her with a soul-wrenching glare.
"I hate you."
Sakura let out a sob, fell to her knees, and wailed loud enough for the Village of Sound to hear. Naruto resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
He reached out and placed his hand on Sasuke's neck, gently brushing his fingers along the smooth skin.
"C'mon, teme, it's not that bad. I'll help you replant them," he said and smiled warmly towards his friend. He felt the muscles under his touch go soft almost immediately. The anger faded until only a weak frown was left, directed at Sakura's wrecked form by his feet.
"… it’s fine."
Sakura abruptly closed her mouth and gazed up at Sasuke in disbelief, as if he had just sprouted a second head.
"What?" she asked, puzzled.
Sasuke's frown deepened, but he murmured nonetheless, "It's okay."
Sakura let out a laugh in surprise and rushed to embrace the black-haired boy, who tensed uncomfortably.
"I promise I won't sneak into your garden again. I love you, Sasuke-kun!"
Sasuke grunted in displeasure and weakly shrugged her off. Naruto watched the scene with a delighted grin.

"Hey Kiba, you've got something on your face."
"Huh? Where?" Kiba asked and put down his chopsticks. He began to scratch at his face franticly.
"By your lips. Yeah, right there!" Kiba brushed at the spot, eyes crossing while attempting to see it.
"Here, let me." Naruto leaned over the table to rub at the stain by Kiba's lips. As the stain slowly disappeared, the sound of a low growl caught Naruto's attention.
"Uh, hello there... Uchiha," Kiba stuttered nervously, his gaze over Naruto's shoulder. Naruto turned around to see Sasuke's thundering expression.
"Erm... what's up teme? Why so grumpy?" Naruto asked, trying to ease the tension.
Sasuke diverted his dark eyes to the ground. "It's nothing."
"Aaw, come on. Did Ino jump into your bed again?" Naruto teased, earning a flinch from Sasuke at the memory. But then he shook his head in a way that clearly said 'No, idiot.'
"Well, unless you're up to something, why don't you join us?" Naruto asked hesitantly, offering a smile. Sasuke glared hatefully in Kiba's direction before begrudgingly settling down. His chair scraped loudly against the floor as he shuffled towards Naruto.
The room was filled with an awkward silence that could make a pin drop sound deafening. Kiba's face turned paler and paler as the seconds ticked by until Naruto broke the tension.
"Erm … so … where were we?" He smiled sheepishly, trying to shift the conversation.
"We were talking about … uhm, who were hotter, Sakura or Ino."
Naruto was about to answer but Sasuke was not having it. He suddenly went rigid in his seat, his eyes narrowing across the table. His hands clenched the wooden edge of the table until it shook, making Naruto's miso ramen slosh dangerously in its bowl.
"Teme!" Naruto yelled, reaching out to try to unclench Sasuke's iron grip. He managed to grab hold of his fingers and tried to bend them backwards, but Sasuke eventually relaxed and Naruto ended up holding his entire hand, his fingers brushing against the backside. Naruto saw confusion slip into Sasuke's dark eyes, and he let go of Naruto's hand as if it had burned him. He then placed his hands in his lap and muttered,
“m' sorry."
Naruto widened his eyes, mouth agape. He turned towards Kiba and noticed that he was regarding Sasuke in the same fashion. Naruto cleared his throat,
"Uh … No worries."

Naruto's words slurred as he begged, "Please, just one tiny, wonderful kiss?" His eyes were glazed over from being heavily intoxicated. Sakura shook her head, her hair swaying slightly, and her sweet perfume wafted over him.
"You smell really good, Sakura," Naruto said, his eyes becoming even glassier as he inhaled deeply. He stumbled towards her, his hands stroking down her body as he pressed against her. "N-Naruto, you're drunk. You don't want this," Sakura protested, trying to push him away.
But Naruto was persistent, and his grasp on her tightened until she pushed him off with more force than intended. He tumbled backwards, but instead of hitting the ground, he felt strong arms catch him. A more musky, masculine scent reached his nose, and he looked up to see Sasuke's face.
"Sasuke?" Naruto mumbled, staring up at the dark-haired man's starry eyes.
"You need some water," Sasuke's deep voice boomed from above. For some reason, Naruto felt an inexplicable urge to comply with Sasuke's wishes. He followed Sasuke into the kitchen, where he received a glass of water that he gulped down in one go.
Leaning against the sink, Naruto grinned as the world tilted from side to side. Suddenly, he felt the urge to dance.
"Ey teme, let's dance!" he said, turning towards Sasuke.
Sasuke glared at him. "No."
"Please?" Naruto tried to give him a puppy-eyed look, but it had no effect on Sasuke. "You're so boring, Sasuke."
Sasuke frowned. "No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are! I can't even remember the last time you did something unexpected," Naruto said, refilling his glass with water. He quickly downed the water, then licked the remaining droplets from his lips.
Their bodies collided in the next moment, and Naruto felt strong arms wind around his waist. He gasped as a wet, warm tongue swept across his lips. Sasuke leaned down, pressing small kisses into the crook of Naruto's neck while he spoke against his flushed skin.
"Don't kiss her… kiss me,"
Naruto's whole body tingled, and he felt something shimmering inside his chest like gold. Slowly, he extended his arms and wrapped them around Sasuke's warm body, finding comfort in their proximity.
A low groan escaped Naruto as Sasuke pulled back to stare into his eyes, and then he leaned forward, sealing their lips together.

Ino, while applying a generous amount of mascara to her already-overdone eyes, questioned the two boys sitting across the table. "What happened with you two last night? You just disappeared." Naruto fidgeted nervously while Sasuke sported a small smirk.
"We-...we were...in the woods," Naruto stuttered, glancing back and forth between Sasuke and Ino.
"In the woods, huh? What happened there, Naruto?" Ino asked with a smirk, enjoying his evident discomfort.
"We were...hunting...for, uh-"
"We fucked," Sasuke interrupted suddenly, causing Naruto to jump in shock. Ino's eyes widened in surprise before she started to cough loudly, choking on her saliva.
"What the hell, teme? I told you to stop saying things like that," Naruto hissed, looking completely devastated. Sasuke, on the other hand, just smiled down at him, tightening his grip on his hand under the table.
"I feel invincible when we touch," he whispered in a husky voice, making Naruto blush. He glanced over at Ino, who was struggling, unsuccessfully, to hold back a nosebleed.
