"Sixteen times."
"What?"
"Sixteen times, Mirio!" Nejire exclaimed. "We still can't get them together,"
Right now, Mirio and Nejire where spying on you and Amajiki. Well, more like the spot where you two used to be before you both left. The two were constantly trying to get you and Amajiki together as a couple but so far their plans A-P weren't working. 10 more letters of the alphabet to go. So far, they've tried canceling hang-outs at the mall due to 'emergencies' last minute, leaving you two in haunted houses, tricking Tamaki into walking you home, need I go more?
"Nejire, should we stop? None of our plans have worked,"
"Give up? No way! I am dedicated! I will get those two together before Christmas. Trust me!"

"(Y/N)-chan!" Nejire ran up to you.
"Nejire,"
"Sorry for not being able to go yesterday, did you, Mirio, and Amajiki at least have fun?" Nejire said as she was walking with you to the Gym Gamma.
"Well, turns out Togata-kun had an emergency as well, so he couldn't come with," You explained, "But Amajiki-kun was able to get there so there's that."
"What did you guys do?"
"Eh, nothing much. Bought some ice cream," You thought for a bit, trying to remember what happened last Sunday, "Walked around a bit. That's about it,"
"Really? Just that? Nothing interesting happened?" Nejire was hoping that this time, something would at least spark between them. Something that would make this plan different from her other plans that ended up bearing no fruit.
"No."
'Still nothing huh? I'll get you two together for sure!' Nejire thought.
"Well, sorry for not being able to come. I'll go next time for sure! Where would you like to go for next Sunday?" She asked, already planning to cancel last minute again.
"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe an arcade or something, if you guys are up to it,"
"Arcade it is then! I'll go tell Mirio and Amajiki for this Sunday." Nejire said as she began to walk towards the two, Tamaki and Mirio, who are a few meters ahead of them, talking as well, but just out of earshot.
"Nejire-chan, you're not gonna cancel last minute again, right?" You stopped her before she could walk away, hinting at something.
"What? No!"
"Are you sure? Because it seems like, to me, that you are purposely trying to leave me and Amajiki-kun alone," You questioned. "Not only you, but Togata-kun too,"
Nejire can't keep a secret. A lot of people knew that. She put a lot of effort in trying to keep this a secret but her rapid blinking and change in her voice just proved your suspicions.
At the same time Amajiki was confronting his childhood friend of the same topic.
"H-Hey Mirio, are you and Hado-san trying to get me and (L-L/N)-san alone together?"
Unfortunately for the blonde soon-to-be pro-hero (um.. sorry), he's a bad liar as well.
"W-What? No! Why would you think that?" Both Nejire and Mirio told their friends, trying to lie but clearly failing.
. (Between you and Nejire)
"Aha! So you are trying to hook me up with Amajiki-kun," You told Nejire.
. (Between Tamaki and Mirio)
"It just seems to me t-that you and Hado-san are canceling last minute so only (L/N)-san and I would hang out."

"Fine, so maybe I was!" Nejire gave in. "But can you blame me? Everyone knows you and Amajiki are just perfect for each other. Give him a chance,"

"Maybe I was, but, hey! You and (L/N)-san would make a great couple, just ask anybody!"

"Nejire-chan, I appreciate your efforts but, you leaving us alone together just makes it awkward between him and I."
.
"Mirio, Why l-leave them and I alone together? It g-gets awkward."

"But (Y/N)-chan-"
"Nejire, no."
Nejire pouts.

"Tamaki, if you don't talk to them soon, you might never have that chance again!"
"Mirio, n-no."

The hours turned to days and the days turned to weeks. Nejire and Mirio are still trying to get you two together, despite you and Amajiki telling them 'no'. It was about about a month after the conversation between you and Hado and between Amajiki and Togata and just in time for the school festival. It was around the afternoon, after the beauty pageant results were announced. The four of you, Tamaki, Mirio, Nejire, and you, were walking around where the food stalls were. Mirio suggested ordering takoyaki from a stall nearby and you all agreed to it. He dragged Tamaki with him to order while you and Nejire found an empty table to sit by.
The line was quite long, so it took quite a while for the boys to come back. You spent this time talking and laughing with Nejire. While chatting, Nejire received a a phone call so she excused herself to talk with whoever was on the other line. You were alone for a bit before Tamaki came back with two bowls of takoyaki. Alone.
"W-Where's Hado-san?" He asked as he sat down beside you.
"Taking a phone call. Where's Togata-kun?"
"I-In the bathroom," He replied.
You both now realized. They left you both again. You sighed. "They left us again."
"S-Sunshine, should we, um, tell them?"
"We probably should but, knowing them, the news will spread like wildfire once they know and you and I don't like the attention that'll bring us."
"So we should just c-continue to play along?"
"D-Do you want people to know?" You said, taking a piece of takoyaki and eating it.
"I-I mean, it would be nice to l-let people know. At least, people would s-stop hitting on you." He mumbled that last part, looking away to hide his blush, but you were able to make out what he was saying.
"Alright, we'll tell them soon then," You say and kiss his cheek, causing him to blush even more and hide his face by leaning his head on your shoulder. "S-Sunshine, why i-in public?" You just giggled. In the corner of your eye, you could see Nejire and Mirio with their mouths agape.
Let it begin.
