Chapter 1: I Like You a Latte- Aito Hozumi, Rental Boyfriends
Chapter Text
Characters:
Aito Hozumi
Vaishnavi Swaroop
"I like you a Latte"
Vaishnavi Swaroop was sitting in her room, holding a warm cup of coffee and surrounded by a dozen boxes of Kleenex. On the other side of the bed was her younger sister, Radha, with a very worried look in her eyes. Vaishnavi and her family had just moved to Japan from India, thanks to their father's job with a prestigious Japanese automobile firm, and Vaishnavi was enrolled at a local Japanese college.
"Come on Vaish, you can't keep crying over him! How long has it been since he dumped you? Like two weeks?" Whined Radha from her spot. Radha's question was answered by a loud sob, making the young girl flinch. "Oh Vaish, what will we do with you," She sighed as she lightly patted her sister's shoulder.
Vaishnavi had recently been dumped by her boyfriend, who she had been in a relationship with since her days in high school in India. She was deeply hurt by this development, as she had thought that they had a strong future together. But distance did not make the heart grow fonder, as Vaishnavi's ex-boyfriend decided to prioritize computer engineering over their relationship. Vaishnavi wasn't any less ambitious. She was a student of medicine, wanting to specialize in neurology. She was also an excellent dancer, having trained in the Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam, for her whole life.
Vaishnavi noisily blew her nose into yet another piece of tissue before draining the rest of her coffee and flopping backward into her pillows. Radha groaned and shook her head, as she grabbed her sister's hand and attempted to pull her out of bed. "Vaish, come on, we're going out." She said. Vaishnavi glared at Radha before puffing out her cheeks. "I'm not going anywhere Radha, let me cry into another tub of ice-cream because I don't want to deal with the outdoors," She said with a small grumble. Radha rolled her eyes. "I'll buy you a caramel macchiato from that Starbucks down the road, and I know how much you like that Starbucks down the road," She said. Vaishnavi's eyes lit up, although she didn't want to go out, free coffee sounded just as tempting. She debated the choices in her head for a while before finally getting out of bed. "Okay, but I better get that coffee," She said. Radha grinned as she cheered in victory. "Okay, come on, we need you to look, drop-dead gorgeous sis, maybe you can pick up a cute guy while we're out." She said. Vaishnavi rolled her eyes, her face breaking out into a tired grin.
About an hour later, Vaishnavi was standing in front of her mirror, surprised at how different she looked. Vaishnavi was a dark-skinned, brown-eyed beauty from the southern part of India. Her dark brown-black hair was in loose, and reached her waist. She was not very tall, but she was not very short either. She usually wore big, boxy glasses, but today she had decided to wear contact lenses instead. She was not wearing very heavy make-up all she had on was eye-liner and some lip-gloss. Today she had decided to wear a baby-blue chiffon dress that reached just below her knees and a pair of slippers with cute gold straps. Radha squealed in approval as she dragged her older sister out of the house and to the Starbucks that was indeed, down the road. Radha sat Vaishnavi down at a table and bought her her favorite Caramel Macchiato before grinning sheepishly. Vaishnavi knew that grin better than anything else. She had just about started to regret her decision to listen to Radha.
"So, Vaish," Started Radha. Vaishnavi rolled her eyes and groaned. "Just spill it as it is Radha, I know you have done something crazy." She said. Radha laughed and winked at her sister, "You know me well enough sis!" She said before continuing. "Well, I know I wouldn't have been able to drag you out of bed without bribing you with coffee, and I may or may not have set you up on a date with a rental boyfriend." She said. Vaishnavi closed her eyes as she started to speak, "Oh yes, the coff-" She paused. She repeated Radha's words in her head and her eyes went wide as she started to cough, nearly choking on her drink. "You did WHAT?!" She yelled. Radha nodded, "You were too busy being sad, so I thought a little date would do you good," She said nonchalantly. Vaishnavi groaned, a little louder this time. "And now I have to go on a date with a guy I don't even know?" She whined. Radha laughed, "He should be here any minute, I gotta go, shop!" She said, and walked right out of the cafe, ignoring her sister's cries for help.
Just as Vaishnavi was about to make a run for it, a figure descended before her and sat down on the seat opposite her. "Hello there, how do you brew?" Said a voice, that sounded like the sweetest melody one could find. Vaishnavi looked up to see a man, with silver hair and light brown eyes. He was extremely attractive, and the smile on his face was brighter than the sun at noon. Vaishnavi couldn't help but giggle at his bad coffee pun. "I've bean peachy, how about you?" She replied, hoping to out pun the stranger. The man laughed and shook his head, "I'm alright, although I like the way you espresso yourself," He said with a wink. "I'm Aito Hozumi, and you must be Vaishnavi, right?" He said. Vaishnavi felt the heat rising to her cheeks. This man is hot and smooth. "Yes, I'm Vaishnavi," She said, "So you're going to be my date today," She mumbled. Aito nodded, "I'm here to fulfill all your dreams, desires, and wishes, and for today, I am your boyfriend." He said. Vaishnavi smiled. Maybe this date wasn't such a bad idea after all. The two of them don't say anything for a little while, as they sip their drinks. A strong scent of a freshly brewed espresso came from a table nearby and soft chattering filled the space. Aito was the first to break the silence, "My coffee hasn't kicked in yet, so I can't think of anything charming to say," He said. Vaishnavi laughed and looked at him, "Are you a Barista? Because you sure are hot sweet and creamy," She said with a wink. Aito raised an eyebrow before laughing, "I am training to be a barista," He said. Vaishnavi's eyes widened as she leaned closer to him, "God? Is that you?" She asked while looking into deep brown eyes. Aito laughed as he leaned closer to Vaishnavi, "I may not be a full-fledged Barista right now, but I can feel something brewing between us," He said. Vaishnavi grinned as she came up with the perfect response, "You're such a TEAse!" She said, feigning annoyance. Aito placed his cup on the table and pointed at Vaishnavi's face, "That's a nice mug you've got there," He said. Not wanting to be out punned, Vaishnavi pointed at Aito's mug, "Do you need more sugar, or am I sweet enough?"
Aito rolled his eyes and leaned back into his seat. "It's good to see that you have relaxed. You seemed very nervous when I first got here," He said. Vaishnavi blushed slightly. So, he noticed that she was nervous. She nodded, "Actually, my sister set this entire thing up, to help me get over my breakup. I must say, she is succeeding," She said. Aito smiled softly. It wasn't the bright prince charming smile from earlier. It was a more real, more natural smile. "I'm glad. Would you like to do anything else today? We have about two more hours to ourselves," He said. Vaishnavi shrugged, "A warm cozy coffee date is ideal, could we just stay here and make more puns?" She asked. Aito laughed, "I don't mind that at all," He said.
Just like that, Aito and Vaishnavi spent their afternoon at Starbucks, dipping on coffee and talking about sweet nothings. Both Aito and Vaishnavi enjoyed the other's presence. Vaishnavi liked having someone who was there to listen to her stories, and Aito liked having someone to relax with. He had been on many dates as a rental boyfriend, and had met many women. But Vaishnavi seemed different. She wasn't just another client, she felt like a friend, a special kind of friend. Aito didn't know what to call that light throbbing of his heart.
Before they knew it, the two hours had flown by like a breeze and it was time to say goodbye. Neither Aito nor Vaishnavi wanted to leave the other. Vaishnavi looked at him and grinned, "Aito, I think I like you a latte," She said. Aito laughed and handed Vaishnavi a napkin. "Well, I know we just met and all, and it might seem a little crazy, but here's my number so caramel me maybe?" He asked, nervously scratching the back of his neck. Vaishnavi laughed and nodded, "Let's have another date, with even worse puns," She said. The two parted ways then, having no idea about the feelings brewing deep inside of them.
Chapter 2: Alone - Fairy Tail
Summary:
WARNING: THIS ONESHOT CONTAINS POSSIBLE TRIGGERS, SO DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.
Introduction to Alia Dragneel: Alia is an OC of mine who is the sister if Natsu Drageel (shout out to @_Natsu-Dragneel and y'know exactly why :D). So this one-shot takes place in a modern setting and they do not have magic.
It's kinda based on a poem I wrote a while ago when I was going through a rough patch, and I decided to add Natsu's POV, just to make it somewhat related to Fairy Tail.
Notes:
This one-shot is dedicated to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide in his residence in Mumbai, India on the 14th of June 2020. Sushant's death feels like a personal one, he was an amazing man. Down-to-earth, talented, intelligent, and overall, someone everyone would have wanted to befriend. His death has taught us that depression does not look at one's social status, fame or talent. Sushant was alone when he died, but I want all the readers of this chapter to know that no matter what, you are not alone.
I love you, each one of you.
Reach out to your friends, family, acquaintances or even people you don't know, ask them how they are doing, listen to their story. Let them know that they are not alone.
Chapter Text
Alone-Part 1 (Alia's P.O.V)
Is anybody home?
Have my parents returned from work?
What about my brothers?
Am I alone?
Today was the day
I was to end it all
End my pain, Accept my fate.
I sit down on my desk,
Write down a small note,
"I love you guys, but I'm sorry
I just can't find a reason,
my will to live."
I get up,
look out into the
quiet street below my window.
The neighborhood was empty,
just like my life, and
the innermost compartment of my heart.
A stray tear escapes my eye,
then another, and one more!
Soon I am a crying mess
All the 16 years of my life flash before my eyes
The empty moments I call my memories.
I tie a rope to the ceiling fan,
Make sure it is stable
unlike the shaky breaths, I take
and my conscience deep down inside.
It's then that they arrive.
The angel says, "Don't do it! You have so much to live for!"
The devil scoffs, "End it now, escape your misery."
I stare ahead, my mind races, heart paces
My vision goes blurry,
As my entire being is dreary.
Weary of the fate that lies ahead.
I step onto the stool,
Grab the noose
and slip it over my head.
Tightening the knot
I finally let go
of the breath
I never knew I held onto for so long.
I feel the noose tighten around my neck
and suck my life out of the empty pit I called my soul.
A searing pain in my lungs,
My head spins as my eyes close.
And then,
Alone- part 2 (Natsu's P.O.V.)
I walk into my house after hanging out with friends.
"I'm home!" I yell as I get no answer. I hear a loud noise from upstairs and figure that one of my siblings was home.
I live with my dad, Igneel, older brother Zeref and my younger sister, Alia. I loved my sister more than my own life. I would probably die if anything were to happen to her. She was the best thing that ever happened to me. We were a really happy and close-knit family, although I was closest to Alia.
I ran upstairs and dumped my bag in my room. My cat, Happy was clawing at Alia's door. Fearing the worst, my heart starts beating at an insanely fast pace. I opened my sister's door and almost felt my heart stop. My baby sister, Alia Dragneel, hanging from the ceiling fan, dead.
I go up to my sister and bring her down. I knelt down cradling my sister's lifeless body in my arms, as I cried into her hair. "Why Alia?"
I hugged her body close hoping to transfer some of my life to her.
My baby sister was dead?
I heard movement behind me so I turned to see Zeref, tears streaming down his face. He too sat beside Alia and joined the embrace.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Alia could not be dead. Why did she do this? She used to tell me everything, what stopped her now?
Months later, I still haven't accepted Alia's death. I still cry myself to sleep. Our family hasn't been the same. Dad immersed himself in his work. Zeref and I have become distant.
Alia's best-friend, Sting, and boyfriend Rogue did not take the news of Alia's death well. I have become closer to them, as I sense my sister's spirit with them. I have been less talkative in class. I reach out to whichever student I feel is depressed. I don't want them to suffer the same fate as Alia.
I spend most of my hours in Alia's room, as I sense her spirit there But this doesn't change the fact that Alia is gone. I can't give her hugs on the spur of the moment. I can't hear her beautiful voice when she sings. But most of all, I can't be the big brother I never was. It felt as though my entire life had been sucked out of me.
Sometimes, I blame myself for this. Maybe, I could have stopped Alia from killing herself that day. Maybe, if I walked home with her that day, I would have noticed that something was wrong.
I miss my sister, I really do.
No matter how much I think, speculate, wish, I can't change the past. I definitely can't change the fact that my sister is gone and won't be coming back.
Currently, I am sitting with my family at the dining table. I am talking to them, catching up on their lives. As there is one thing for sure, Alia wouldn't have wanted this family to fall apart. And it is my job, as her big-brother to ensure that.
Chapter 3: Phone Calls and A First Love - Kenichiro Kamijo
Summary:
Hey everyone! I have used a small writing prompt to write this one-shot about our beloved boss, Kenichiro Kamijo.
Kenichiro Kamijo is a character from Okko's title, Office Lover 2. There are quite a few assumptions I have made about his character after playing his route twice, once on the standalone app, and once on Honey Magazine. These are assumptions made based on stuff said about him in his route and other routes.
I am assuming that Kenichiro is over the age of 40 in the present day, so in this story, he would be around 23-24 years old. Aya Mizuno is the same age as Kenichiro. Back in the day, in 1997, they had telephones, so we do not have the use of smartphones here. In Kenichiro's route, we get to know that he was married once, but that did not work out. That has also been referenced in this story.
Notes:
Prompt:
Write a short story beginning with the line, "The Voice was familiar but I couldn't recognise the face,"
Chapter Text
Characters:
Kenichiro Kamijo
Aya Mizuno
Phone Calls and a First Love
The voice was familiar, but he could not recognize the face. All it took was one word, to send Kenichiro Kamijo back on a trip down memory lane.
It was the year 1997, a hot, sunny day in June. 23-year-old Kenichiro Kamijo was at his house in Tokyo, Japan, sifting through some of his work papers before he was supposed to head out for a meeting.
Kenichiro was a bright, intelligent, and talented young man, who had recently been hired by Oz Magic's production department. Kenichiro was a rookie planner for commercials and had not been assigned an independent project yet. He was ready to prove his passion though, so he completed each of his assignments without any complaints. His seniors and co-workers were always impressed by his hard work and dedication to the company.
Suddenly, the telephone which was lying on the kitchen table rang, jolting Kenichiro out of his thoughts. He answered the call, "Hello, Kenichiro Kamijo speaking," He greeted. There was some shuffling on the other end of the line, and Kenichiro heard a small giggle. Could this be a prank? he wondered. Just as he was about to put the phone down, a soft voice speaks up. "I'm sorry, I think I might have the wrong number," she said. "The man I met at the club gave it to me," she added. Kenichiro sighed, his lips curling into a small smile. "I'm sorry that happened to you," he said. "But if there's anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know," He added.
The girl laughed, "Then I might just call you whenever I'm bored and lonely. I wouldn't mind having a phone pal," She said. Kenichiro could feel a slight flush of pink rising to his cheeks. "I would like that very much," He said. "Unfortunately, I have to get to an important meeting, but may I have your name before I go?" He asked. "Mizuno. Aya Mizuno," She said. "I think I will call you tomorrow. Is Saturday a good day to talk?" She asked. Kenichiro grinned slightly as he looked at his kitchen table, "Saturday is a great day to talk."
Aya Mizuno did call Kenichiro on Saturday, and they had a long conversation about little nothings. It was the first time Kenichiro felt he could be himself in a conversation and not be judged. Aya gave Kenichiro her number at the end of their conversation so that Kenichiro could initiate the calls too. That's exactly what Kenichiro did on Sunday morning after breakfast. He called Aya, and they spent yet another day talking to each other and having fun. What started as weekly conversations turned into daily conversations.
The days turned to weeks and then the weeks turned to months. Kenichiro learned that Aya was an aspiring doctor who lived in Yokohama. He learned that she was a big fan of Queen, and she idolized their guitarist, Brian May. As Kenichiro learned more and more about Aya, he could feel his own heart opening up to her. He told her about his dreams and aspirations. He dreamt that one day, his commercials will be displayed at the Shibuya Crossing, and inspire many others to join his field of work.
Kenichiro felt excited every time he talked to Aya. He could feel a small fluttering in his stomach every time he heard her voice on the phone. Kenichiro knew that he was hopelessly and madly in love with this woman, although he had only ever heard her voice. He really hoped that their daily conversations would continue for a long long time. However, fate was cruel and had other plans for Kenichiro.
It was a cold, December evening. Kenichiro had decided, that it was going to be the day that he would tell Aya about the feelings brewing in his heart. Kenichiro had just got home from work. He had changed out of his suit and picked up the phone. He dialed the number that he had memorized by now, and waited. The familiar click signaling that Aya had answered the call, rung through his heart. He was nervous but confident. Kenichiro's thoughts were interrupted by a sob. "Hello?" said the same soft voice, quivering slightly. "Aya? What's wrong?" asked Kenichiro. He was worried now. Had something terrible happened to Aya? Aya sniffled and took a few deep breaths before speaking again. "Kenichiro, my parents have arranged for me to get married," She said, before breaking out in sobs. Kenichiro felt like he had been stabbed in the heart a thousand times. He bit back the words of sadness and frustration and tried to comfort Aya. Their conversation was everything but cheerful. Aya told Kenichiro that the man was rich, and was the manager of a big company in Osaka. Kenichiro bit back his own feelings, wished Aya well, and said his final goodbye to her.
Kenicihro had held his own feelings of love for Aya back, knowing that he didn't have a chance at a relationship with her. He felt that she would be happier in her marriage. After that day, Kenichiro put away any feelings of love that came his way and immersed himself in his work. Over the next twenty years, Kenichiro had risen up the ranks of his company and was now the manager. He had gotten married to a famous actress, but that did not work out so they got divorced a year after they had tied the knot. Kenichiro had many commercials displayed on the screen at Shibuya Crossing, and many young kids had joined Oz Magic because of him.
One day, Kenichiro had just finished a meeting with a client and sat down at a cafe to grab a bite before heading back to his office. He was scrolling through his phone, looking at some news headlines when he heard it, her. That voice was most definitely hers. He turned around to check where the voice had come from. A woman, around the same age, as he was sitting with two teenagers beside her, presumably her kids. The woman was beautiful. She had clear, porcelain skin, deep brown eyes, and long, silky black hair tied into a neat bun.
"Aya, your coffee," announced a deeper, male voice. A man sat down on the seat opposite the woman's blocking Kenichiro's view. "Thank you Taiga," said the same soft voice that Kenichiro had fallen in love with. He turned back to look at his phone, deciding not to disturb the family on their little outing, softly smiling to himself. His heartfelt at peace knowing that Aya was happy and well settled in life. That little moment was interrupted by the vibrating of Kenichiro's phone. He noticed it was a call from Hinata Hayama, one of his brightest employees. He answered the call with his greeting, "Hello, Kenichiro Kamijo speaking."
Chapter 4: Monsoon Love- Rainy Days
Summary:
Rainy Days during the Indian Monsoon season are incredibly romantic, and what better way to spend it other than with our favorite Otome boys?
Featuring Kakeru Yamagata from Office Lover 2, Honey Magazine.
Prompt: "It was a sunny afternoon in July when suddenly black clouds..."
Chapter Text
It was a sunny afternoon in July, but suddenly black clouds started to loom. Raagini Malhotra noticed the sudden change in weather, and immediately her face lit up with a grin. The clouds only meant one thing, and that was rain. She stepped out onto the terrace and enjoyed the cool monsoon breeze as it blew through her hair.
Raagini Malhotra was an Indian beauty. She had long, curly black hair and deep brown eyes that shone like caramel in the sunlight.
"Enjoying the weather?" spoke a deep, raspy voice. Raagini didn't have to look to know who it was. She laughed a little and said, "Oh Kakeru! You know how much I love rain! Don't you think that this weather is just gorgeous?"
The man, Kakeru Yamagata, just laughed as he stood next to her. Kakeru Yamagata was the CEO of Cyber Speed, a fast-growing web-based company in Japan. Raagini was one of the employees of his company, as well as being his precious girlfriend. Kakeru and Raagini were currently enjoying an extended vacation at Raagini's childhood home in Delhi, India. Raagini shifted closer to Kakeru, wanting to feel his warmth. "Isn't this weather so romantic?" She asked, looking up into her lover's amber eyes. Kakeru just chuckled and shook his head. "I can't see anything romantic about rain, it only creates traffic jams and causes a rise in humidity. But, whatever floats your boat," he said.
Raagini rolled her eyes. She pecked his cheek before turning towards the house, "Let me get something to help the mood." She said. She gestured towards the garden swing that was under a little covered section of the terrace, "Sit there and enjoy the rain," She said. Kakeru sat down and closed his eyes. He had started to appreciate and treasure the little things about Raagini and India. Small raindrops had started to fall, as it started to drizzle. The breeze was cool and made the young CEO smile. He felt at home.
A few minutes later, Raagini emerged with two cups of tea, the Indian specialty, Masala Chai, and a plate of warm crispy samosas. Raagini squealed with glee as she watched the raindrops fall, as she held her hand out, giggling at the sensation of raindrops hitting her palm. Kakeru watched her, as he immediately picked one of the cups, and took a sip, Raagini sat down as well, as she sipped on the tea. There was a comfortable silence as they finished all the goodies on the tray.
Soon, the rain was much heavier, as it poured down onto the earth. Raagini and Kakeru lay in each other's arms on the couch as they watched the scenery outside. Thunder clapped and lightning struck, almost adding to the melodic pitter-patter of the rain. Kakeru had to admit that the weather did make him fall in love with Raagini even more than before, as well as increasing his appreciation for India and its little things.
He held Raagini close, happy to be able to forget about work and his busy life, and enjoy a quiet moment with Raagini, the person he loved the most in the world.
Chapter 5: Untitled- Motoki Seto (Rental Boyfriends
Summary:
Prompt:
None
Characters:
Motoki Seto- currently 41/24
Takeomi Shiina- 33/18
Miyako Seto- 22/14
Notes:
Using material from the cannon, as well as some assumptions based on Takeomi's route, as well as some things I have noted from blogs and fanfiction, I will be taking the following things into consideration:
The story takes place in 2020, and I am assuming that Takeomi is 33 in 2020.
Motoki is older, so he's 41.
Miyako is based on the MC and she is 22, and we know that she was 14 when Mokki took her in.
Chapter Text
It was an unusually quiet day at LiPSTiCK KiSS. Motoki Seto was sitting at the desk, looking over some of the accounting. His niece and business partner, Miyaki was sitting on the couch, talking to her fiance and LiPSTiCK KiSS veteran, Takeomi Shiina. Motoki briefly looks up from his papers and glanced in the couple's direction. He smiled to himself. Initially, he was not very happy with their relationship. Motoki had known Takeomi from his days in college, and Miyako was his niece, who he loved like a daughter. He couldn't bear the thought of either of them being hurt because of the other. He was also wary, because the Takeomi Shiina he knew was never serious about his relationships, and always prioritized his work over his girlfriends.
However, as he watched Takeomi and Miyako's relationship grow stronger, he learned to accept their relationship. He was still cautious, but he was proud of how quickly both grew up. His heart warmed as he watched their little interactions. The little moments of love, bickering, and even the way they glance at each other across the office. He was even prouder to be the lucky man to walk his beloved niece down the aisle.
That evening, Motoki was sat on his couch, flipping through a photo album. Miyako was sitting beside him, listening to some music, and scrolling through her phone. Motoki laughed as he noticed a particularly interesting picture, immediately attracting Miyako's attention. "Uncle?" She asked, leaning over to hug him. Motoki looked up from the album as he wrapped his arms around his niece, hugging her as well, "Miyako? Need anything love?" He asked. Miyako laughed and shook her head, "Did you find an interesting photograph?" She asked. Motoki nodded as he kissed the top of her head, "I did." He admitted. Miyako pulled away from the hug and yawned. "I love you uncle, I'm heading to bed. Don't stay up too late, okay?" She said as she stood up
"Look at you all grown up, telling your Uncle not to stay up too late," he teased. Miyako rolled her eyes, as she walked towards her room, "Good night uncle," She said. "Good night my dear, I love you too."
Motoki went back to looking at the photo album, a wave of nostalgia hitting him. Suddenly, his eyes landed on one particular picture. In the foreground was his raven-haired best friend Takeomi Shiina, and in the background was the Gloucester Cathedral, the building which inspired Takeomi to become an architect. He shut his eyes as a wave of nostalgia washed over him, as he was transported to the day he first met Takeomi.
It was the year 2005. a twenty-four-year-old Motoki Seto walked around the college building. He had just come back to complete his course after a two-year-long gap. He had recently taken his niece, Miyako, under his wing, after her mother and new step-father had moved to the United States. He was always very close to his niece and wanted to get a good part-time job to support them both. Now that he was somewhat stable, he was ready to finish his education.
It was his lunch break. Motoki was sitting at a bench, sipping on some milk tea and reading his book when he heard some shuffling beside him. Motoki looked up to see a young boy, about eighteen-years-old. He had raven black hair which was neatly swept to the side. His profile was sharp and elegant. He had a cup of coffee in his hand and a big black folder set on his lap. He was wearing a red turtle neck sweater and a black formal jacket over it. Motoki could feel his heart race at the sight of this beautiful man. The man turned towards Motoki and smiled a dazzling smile, "Hello, I'm Shiina, Takeomi Shiina, Architecture Department," He greeted. Motoki fumbled over his words before greeting, "Hello, I'm Motoki Seto."
Takeomi and Motoki spent the remainder of their break talking and getting to know each other. Takeomi told Motoki about his love for architecture, while Motoki talked about his niece. At the end of their break, they promised to meet again during their break.
The days turned into months, Takeomi and Motoki's friendship grew stronger as did Motoki's feelings of love for Takeomi. They would have coffee together, party with friends, but most of all, Takeomi would help Motoki take care of his beloved niece. However, Motoki knew he couldn't say anything, he was most worried about losing Takeomi's friendship. He watched as Takeomi dated woman after woman, showing no sign of being serious. He always prioritized his dreams over his relationships, Motoki was afraid that the same would happen to him.
The years flew past them, just like grains of sand in the wind. Motoki now ran a rental boyfriends business. He was met with some opposition, however, he had the help of his closest friend, Takeomi, who was now running his architectural firm, Tree Piece. Motoki had used some old connections to help Takeomi train in England, which in turn helped Takeomi establish his business. Takeomi also worked part-time as a rental boyfriend at LiPSTiCK KiSS.
Motoki had finished looking through the album as he yawned. He checked the time, it was already 2 A.M. He rubbed his eyes as he put the album away, and headed to his bedroom to get some rest. He was at peace. His feelings of love for Takeomi had evolved, he now felt a great deal of gratitude towards Takeomi, for loving and cherishing his niece. Motoki lay down in his bed, shutting his eyes as he let the peace of the night envelop him, as he fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.

Chapter Text
It was a full moon night in the month of December. A silver-white haired man sat by his piano, playing a tune unfamiliar to nineteenth-century Paris. The window was open, letting the cool winter breeze blow through the man's soft hair as his fingers danced across the keys of the piano. He was so engrossed in the music that he failed to notice a blonde-haired man leaning against the doorframe of the room.
"Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart," called man. The pianist, also known as Mozart, looked up with a start, upset that he was interrupted while playing music. He noticed a smirking Comte de Saint-Germain. Almost immediately, the musician's face lit up, "Did you meet her? How is she? Is she happy?" He asked excitedly. The Comte laughed as he spoke, "She is doing well, I have just come back from one of her concerts. She asked me to give you this," He said, pulling a little envelope from his pocket. Mozart snatched it out of the Comte's hands as he ripped the envelope open. Inside was a letter. Mozart started to read as he moved over to the window. The moonlight highlighted his delicate features as his jewel-like eyes moistened. A faint smile graced his lips.
"Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
I had written this letter hoping to give this to you before I left the mansion. But I could never seem to muster the courage to do so. I was afraid that after giving you this letter I would never be able to leave.
Sometimes I feel like walking through the door at the Louvre was the best decision of my life. It led me to some of the greatest friends I could have ever asked for. Most importantly, it led me to you, an irreplaceable part of my life. Oh, how I shall miss Sebastian's obsession with everyone, Arthur's flirting, and Theodorus's love for extra syrup on his pancakes! Life will be so bland without all of you to brighten up each day.
When I first met you, you seemed to be a cold, lonely, and somewhat reserved man. I was a little afraid of you. But you embraced me and made me feel safe while I lived in a mansion full of vampires.
Playing music with you was the best part of my stay at the mansion. I enjoyed our lessons, where we mostly played each other our favorite songs and our long conversations about anything and everything. I learned so much from you, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
Over the one month we spent together, you became important for my heart. Every minute we spent together made my heart beat faster. Time flew by so fast, and it is now time to leave. I have to keep our promise.
If this letter reaches you, then it means that we shall never meet again.
One thing before I end this letter. Over this one month, I developed strange feelings towards you. My heart would flutter whenever I saw you, and your presence made me very happy. I have realised that over this one month, I fell in love with the way you fall asleep, slowly and then all at once. I was too afraid to tell you in person, I was so afraid that you wouldn't feel the same. But now that I will be leaving, I can confidently say this.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, I love you.
Yours,
Lakeisha Dorset.
P.S. So, I just met Monsieur le Comte at one of my concerts and he has promised to give you this letter. I am attaching a little photograph of my first concert. I hope you like it, and that I have made you just a little proud."
Mozart pulled the little photograph out of the folds of the letter and held it to his chest. He was not ready to look at it, in fear of bursting into tears. He could remember the last conversation they had ever had.
Flashback
Mozart and Lakeisha were sitting side by side at the piano bench. Lakeisha was playing him the tune he had grown to love. She softly hummed the lyrics as Mozart leaned his head on her shoulder. When she was done, neither spoke for a while. They just wanted to bask in the other's presence. "Mozart?" called Lakeisha, finally breaking the silence. "You have done so much for me this past month, what can I do to repay you?" She asked.
Mozart took in a deep breath. He could ask her to stay, forever. However, he knew that she had a dream she could only fulfill by going back to her own time. He sighed again before answering, "Go back to your own time, and fulfill your dream of becoming a successful musician."
Flashback end
Mozart finally looked at the photograph while humming the tune to Lakeisha's song. He felt his heart flutter as he studied her features. She was the woman he had fallen in love with one year ago, when she stumbled into the mansion by pure accident.
For days after receiving the letter, one could hear the melody of a piano, playing a tune unfamiliar to nineteenth-century Paris, yet binding two souls that had transcended time and space to join as one.

Movie inspiration- Bajirao Mastani (2015)This is fanfiction, based on long research into the historical events that the game Shall we Date Destiny Ninja was based on. So this can also be considered historical fiction. Remember the word fiction- so it's not entirely true!
Also this short is three chapters squeezed into one chapter, so if there seem to be any weird skips, that's why.
Chapter Text
The head of the Minamoto clan, Minamoto Yoritomo sat in the hall with his trusted vassals. A nobleman, Kajiwara Kagetoki, and three shinobi, Enya, Goyo and Kazemasa Hattori Hanzo. They were all upset with the daughter of the Fukuhara clan. She had continued to live and fight back despite all the warnings and threats. Yoritomo had to resort to the final tactic. He had already sentenced his brother, Minamoto Yoshitsune, to an honourable death. He gave out one last order, "Capture the girl and throw her into the dungeons till she dies."
*****************
It was a spring afternoon. The Sakura flowers were starting to bloom and the air felt alive. The fgrass was fresh and green. The sun was high and mighty, bathing the earth in its soft golden glow. Akira Fukuhara sat under the very sakura tree where the So-Daisho and her had first shared their love. 'Has it really been two years?' She wondered. Akira shut her eyes, dwelling on the wonderful memories she made with the So-Daisho.
There was a loud rustling in the bushes and four men surrounded her. One of the men, Kajiwara Kagetoki Kajiwara stepped forward.
Akira stood up and held her hands out towards him, "You're here to capture me, aren't you?" She asked. "Bind these wrists together and carry out your orders. Death is a welcome escape if it means having to live another day without the So-Daisho." Kajiwara smirked, "You sure are smart for a dancer girl. Who would have thought that the only daughter of Fukuhara Kaito would fall into a love trap?" He scoffed. "How does it feel to dishonour the name of the Fukuhara clan?"
Akira's eyes waver for a second before she regains her calm. "I may have dishonoured the name of my family, but I have not dishonoured the name of love," said Akira.
Kajiwara Kagetoki grunts, and says, "What is this love you speak of?"
"Love, that battles stormy seas is love, that fights the world in front of everyone is love, that binds two souls together for eternity, that is the love I speak of," said Akira, looking into the nobleman's eyes.
One of the men, Enya speaks up. "It is this love that is punishing you so." Akira smiled while calmly responding, "I lay my head before the sword of thee, if love is such a heinous crime then punish me."
*****************
"Yoshitsune sama! Yoshitsune sama!" cried a voice.
Yoshitsune Minamoto, who was sitting in a room at the Minamoto headquarters in Kamakura, snapped his head up towards the direction of the voice that had called out to him. "Sohma? What is it? Any news from Kyoto?" He asked, anticipation lacing his voice. "Yes Yoshitsune sama, and I'm afraid that it is bad news," Answered Sohma. "Lady Akira was captured and thrown into the dungeons."
Yoshitsune felt an arrow like feeling pierce his heart. He stood up, picking up his katana and ran out of his room, towards the dais where his older brother, Minamoto Yoritomo sat. He lunged towards the leader of the Genji, only to be pinned down by one of the guards. Yoritomo smirked, as he ordered for the ceremony for Yoshitsune's seppuku to begin. The guard led Yoshitsune to the raised platform where he would slit his belly.
"Any last words?" asked Minamoto Yoritomo.
Yoshitsune, still furious, but with a calm expression says, "I have loved Akira Fukuhara, not lusted for her."
*****************
The sounds of the ceremonial drum, the chants of monks. All is calm.
One man, Minamoto Yoshitsune sat upon the platform where he would commit ritual suicide.
Hands bound together, pale skin, strong winds, the scent of sakura blossoms.
One woman, Fukuhara Akira, stood in her jail cell.
Both were asked only one question, "Any final wishes?"
"To see my beloved," They said.
"Minamoto Yoshitsune," said she.
"Fukuhara Akira," said he.
*****************
Yoshitsune's four retainers stood outside the Minamoto camp, fending off any enemies that dared come close. Three ninja fought their former comrades. Arrows flew high and mighty as each warrior fought valiantly.
Musashibou Benkei was the lone soldier standing after a long and tiring battle. Yoshitsune's trusted vassal continued to stand as arrows pierced his body. Suddenly, one of the soldiers noticed that Musashibou Benkei had stopped moving. And then, the great warrior fell to the ground, dead. Benkei had died standing, and legends would tell the story of the standing death of Musashibou Benkei.
*****************
Yoshitsune silently held the blade of his short sword to his belly and proceeded to disembowel himself.
Akira pulled at her chains that were binding her to the jail cell.
Both could see the sakura petals blowing in the wind. The setting sun glowed orange in the Western sky as the full moon illuminated the sky in the East. Monks were chanting hymns in the background. A strong wind brought soft droplets of rain. For a moment, Yoshitsune and Akira were transported to the last time they saw each other.
Flashback
Yoshitsune was holding Akira in his arms. He had just informed her of his brother's orders. Akira tearfully asked him, "Will we ever meet again, Yoshitsune sama?" Yoshitsune hugged her tightly and said, "Don't worry Akira. I promise we will meet again. When the sakura flowers blossom and their petals rain down on earth, when the cool wind brings soft rainfall, when the full moon rises in the east as the sun sets in the west, when we hear the monks chant their prayers, our souls will forever united, and our names will always be remembered as one."
Flashback end
Akira fell to her knees as her breathing shallowed. She felt a searing pain in her chest as she sensed her life force draining away.
A man leapt to his feet, ready to behead Yoshitsune.
At that moment, Yoshitsune and Akira remembered the conclusion to their conversation.
"Our hearts beat together Akira,"
"And they cease together."
Right then, the man swiftly beheads Yoshitsune, as the warrior falls forward.
Akira's eyes shut firmly as her form falls limp.
The lovers now united for all eternity.
*****************
We often make wishes when we see a shooting star. Perhaps, Yoshitsune and Akira were two stars that had fallen to teach the world about the power of love. They succeeded. The world will forever sing the praises of their love. Their names will always be called together. One will always be remembered with the other. The legends shall forever tell the tale of Yoshira.
Chapter 8: The New English Teacher
Summary:
Writing prompt: begin your short story with the sentence: "I woke up from my stupor and it finally hit me, that I was the new English teacher."
Chapter Text
I woke up from my stupor and it finally hit me, that I was the new English teacher. I started to sweat. I, the almighty Gildarts Clive, was having a mild case of what some may call, a mental breakdown.
"Wait! Master Makarov! You can't do this to me. I, am a Physics teacher, how do you expect me to teach English?" I yelled softly.
The principal, Master Makarov Dreyar simply smiled. If there's anything that I learned in the forty-eight hours I served as the guild master for Fairy Tail, it is never to trust Makarov Dreyar's smile.
"Oh come on Gildarts! You are scientifically proven to be the best and most loved teacher on campus! I think you can teach English, besides, how difficult can reading stories no student can ever relate to and writing essays you will never check be? Anyway, this is only a temporary arrangement until Mr. Ichiya arrives next term."
"AN ENTIRE TERM?" I yelled.
"Master Makarov, you have got to be kidding me!" I had started to sweat more than that pig in Shane Dawson's videos.
"Oh come on Gildarts, you are our only hope. I've laid out all the things you need to do this term." Makarov pleaded. Wait- were those puppy eyes? Not falling for them. Not falling for them. Not falling for- AH! -sigh-
Well, I guess it won't hurt.
"Alright Master Makarov, I'll do it, but only if you pay me with that private Kyle Hill meet 'n' Greet you're organizing," I said with a groan.
I walk into the empty classroom and start looking over the material. Great! We're studying the legendary masterpiece, Romeo and Wen- I mean, Romeo and Juliet.
Fun! (not)
The students start to trickle in and class starts without much difficulty, and I start to realize, teaching English wasn't so bad after all!
Fifteen minutes in a familiar pink- I mean salmon haired boy walks into the class. "Yo teach- Wait! Gildarts?!" He yells as if the classroom was his bedroom. I groan and look at him, "Natsu please go to your seat, and try not to disrupt my-"
"Why are you here old guy?" He asks, cutting me off mid-sentence.
"Long story, now shut up and sit down!" I said as he does just that, occasionally making a stupid comment. I mean, it's Natsu. What do you expect?
Suddenly, out of nowhere, he yells, "ENGLISH IS MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT NOW!"
-bonus-
As I was ending the lesson, a brunette entered the class, drinking from a pink, studded flask.
"Dad?" She asks, yelling slightly.
I look at her, "Cana dear, what are you doing here?" I ask.
"This is my class dad, third period English." She said.
I can feel the little ghost leaving my body as I yelled, "Then Why are you here, five seconds before the-" I am cut off by the bell ringing, signalling the end of the class.
Oh lord! I could get used to this!"

Writing Prompt:
Begin your short story with the sentence, "I knew it, that tingling feeling. I was not alone in the room."
Chapter Text
Gray Fullbuster's POV
I knew it, that tingling feeling. I was not alone in the room. The scent of wet earth from the fresh pitter-patter of raindrops and the sound of roaring thunder filled the air. I could also smell rotting flesh and blood in the room. Those footsteps, that perfume and a chilling anticipation for a painful death all make the hair on my skin rise and my adrenaline starts pumping. My heart raced, my palms were sweaty. That voice, only years of hearing it call my name so sweetly could make me so accustomed to the soft jingle of her words.
"Drip drip drop. I am the Rain woman. Drip drip drop."
I turn around, looking around the room, frantically for the source of the voice. I knew who it was, but where was she hiding? And then, as if she had been waiting for me this entire time, I see that flash of blue. Immediately, I get into an ice-make stance, ready to attack, or defend. Just stay alive.
"So cold, Gray sama?" Said the voice again, this time from behind me. "I thought you loved Juvia," She said. Her tone, which was usually so lively, was now menacing. Cold enough to send a shiver down my spine.
"Juvia! What are you doing here? Why are you doing this?" I frantically ask, finally facing her and looking into her eyes. The orbs which were usually a bright crystal blue, were now dead and lifeless, replaced with those of a serial killer. She just cackled.
"Oh my dear Gray sama, I've loved you so much, loved you more than anything. But how did you ever return those feelings for me?" She said. Her stance would remind one of a tigress ready to leap for her prey.
My body was frozen in fear. I was pretty much helpless. I was entering panic mode. I felt dizzy. Juvia inched closer to me, and I tried backing away.
"Juvia loved Gray sama so much, she left her home in Phantom Lord. Juvia loved Gray sama so much that she did everything for Gray sama to love her back. But Gray sama never loved Juvia, Gray sama only loved his wife, Lucy."
The fear that had set in was turning into rage. "Where's Lucy? What did you do to her?!" I yelled, surprising myself with my own tone. Juvia cackled and walked to the cupboard behind me, my eyes following her every move. "Juvia just took care of her love rival." She said.
She then proceeded to open the cupboard. A flash of blonde and red tumbled out, severed limbs, bloody mess, and lifeless. I tried making m way towards Lucy, a sob escaping my throat.
This did not fare well with Juvia. Juvia made her way towards me and traced her finger over my now bare chest, and used water to cut through my skin. I yelled in pain, of losing my wife, but also for this sudden transformation of my best friend. I couldn't speak, I felt like I was paralyzed.
I then felt cold hard metal pressing against my skin, and suddenly a sharp pain in my abdomen, as I crumpled to the floor, in a pool of my own blood, and tears. I could feel my eyelids getting heavier and my breathing slowing.
The last thing I heard before my world went completely black was,
"Drip drip drop. I am the rain woman. Drip drip drop."

Dead lover who refused a taste of eternity
Chapter Text
"There's no time for us,
There's no place for us,
What is this thing that builds our dreams,
Yet slips away from us"
Dark clouds hung over the dimly lit streets of Paris. Thunder roared and lightning struck the earth with full gusto. There was a deathly stillness in the air as a certain pureblood vampire held his lover's bloodied corpse to his chest. "Why did you leave me cara mia? What happened to our forever?" He croaked, as salty tears poured from his eyes and mixed with cold raindrops.
"Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, oooooh,"
Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian pureblood vampire. He was born to a family of purebloods, which brought him the gift of immortality. In his youth, Leonardo made the most of his gift, as he explored the world of art, science, astronomy and earned the reputation as one of the greatest figures of the renaissance. However, the polymath was plagued by the death of all his mortal counterparts. Watching all those he cared about die, made his immortality feel more like a burden than a gift.
His parents failed to understand his emotions, instead encouraging Leonardo to stick to the path that lay before him, that is, feed on rouge, marry another pureblood vampire and have children. Leonardo refused, for he admired the strength and mortality of humans.
The only exception, however, was a fellow pureblood, named Comte de Saint Germain, a count who lived in Paris. The Count had traveled far and wide, and even through time, to offer some of the greatest individuals, "a taste of eternity" by turning them into vampires. The Count invited Leonardo to join them at the mansion as well, which he accepted after much convincing. He started to enjoy his life there, helping other residents and locals in their daily tasks. Soon, Leonardo closed his heart to the sorrows of the human world, he wanted to concentrate on their joys. He was starting to accept his eternal life as a means to make more humans smile. Leonardo vowed to never let another mortal into his heart until she walked through the doors of the Louvre and straight into his heart.
Vena Perez was a petite, sharp-witted Italian girl. She was a travel vlogger in her original time and was visiting Paris for a video. After a chance meeting with the Comte, she stumbled through the doors to the mansion.
She was terrified at first. Who wouldn't be, when told that she had been transported to nineteenth-century Paris, surrounded by famous historical figures who were now vampires? Leonardo swore to himself that he would protect her with his life, and ensure her safe return to her time on the night of the next full moon. Leonardo, the Comte and Sebastian the butler decided that their best bet was to declare Vena to be his lover, his "compagna provissoria."
Leonardo spent every day of the next month with Vena, ensuring he happiness, safety, and comfort. Somewhere along the way, he fell in love. He loved her wit, her love for her job, and her compassion for all the residents of the mansion. Above all, he fell in love with her zest for life. She reminded him why he was so fascinated by humans and their mortality.
The night Vena was supposed to go back to her own time, he felt a faint stabbing feeling in his chest. He didn't want to let her go. However, fate seemed to be in Leonardo's favor, when Vena confessed her love for Leonardo and expressed her desire to stay with him. After much discussion, Vena stayed back, with Leonardo, as his lover. They hugged and kissed, loving each other all night long, pledging to love each other forever.
All was sunny and sweet for the lovers, as they spent every moment together. The other residents too, felt a soft warmth as they watched the lovebirds together. As the months flew by, their love grew stronger. Sometimes, Leonardo would forget that Vena was human, he started to believe that no harm could come their way. That was true, until one day that changed everything.
"But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips"
Vena was out shopping for groceries. Sebastian was busy with the Comte, and Leonardo was working on some research, so Vena had decided to go alone. She had just finished her last bit of shopping and started to make her way back to the mansion. It was getting dark and cloudy, a sign of rain. Vena quickened her pace. Then, she heard footsteps behind her. Vena paused, so did the footsteps. She started to walk again as the footsteps started to follow her. Vena started to walk faster to a light jog, only to be pulled into a dark alleyway. The last thing she saw before her world was plunged into darkness, was the face of her beloved.
"And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today"
Leonardo rushed out of the mansion the minute he heard that Vena had not returned. He was beyond terrified. He could not bear the thought of something bad happening to her. After some searching, Leonardo spotted his worst nightmare. The love of his life, lying on the ground, clothes torn, blood drying on her skin.
Leonardo felt a sharp pain in his chest as he knelt beside her. Leonardo moved her hair out of her face, as Vena stirred slightly. "Leonardo?" She whispered.
Leonardo nodded, tears blurring his vision. "Yes cara mia, it's me." He said. "Let's get you back to the mansion, maybe Arthur or Comte, or I can do somethi-" He rambled before Vena cut him off. "Live on Leonardo," She said, "You promised you would let me go when the time came." Leonardo silently resigned, accepting her wishes. Vena's body went limp as all signs of life disappeared quickly. Leonardo held her close as he wept. It had started to rain heavily, almost as if the sky wept with the vampire. Leonardo was yet again reminded of his immortality. He had to watch the love of his life die. If this is what immortality brought, who wants to love forever?
"Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today
Who waits forever anyway?"

Chapter Text
It was a stormy night in Cradle. Dark clouds hung over the dimly lit streets. Rain poured from the clouds. Lightning struck the earth as thunder roared. However, most citizens of Cradle were either asleep or seeking shelter at the bar near the civic center. In one of the houses, a young boy lay awake, flinching at every loud noise. After a particularly loud clap of thunder, the boy shot out of bed and ran straight to his mother's room. His mother was awake, reading a book. She noticed the boy and smiled softly as she patted the spot on the bed beside her. The boy climbed onto the bed and clung to her as lightning struck again. The woman sighed, "Can't sleep?" She asked. The boy nodded, "The storm is too scary!" He whimpered. The woman smiled as she held the boy close to her. "Would you like me to tell you a story?"
The boy nodded eagerly, "Oh yes please mother!"
The woman laughed a little as she shut her eyes, "Then how about the story of The Magical Man of Wonderland?" She asked. The boy looked at her as she started to speak.
In a land far far away called wonderland, lived a young man named Harr Silver. He was a fugitive of sorts, always on the run from the law, and the preferred to live alone. He was nicknamed the Joker, as he possessed strong magic in his left eye. This magic would turn him into a dark beast of sorts, and if it spiraled out of control- like it often did- it would kill everything in his surroundings. Many people feared the joker, although he was often a hot topic for speculation and gossip.
Harr Silver lived in the depths of the forbidden forest, tucked away from civilization. However, he was not alone. He lived with his prized student, Loki Genetta. Loki Genetta was young, energetic, and admired the joker as his teacher and parental figure. Harr had met Loki while traveling and found out that he was cursed like himself. Loki's curse gave him feline features, including ears, a tail, enhanced agility and a strong dislike for water. This was why people nicknamed him the Cheshire cat. Loki too was a hot topic for gossip in Cradle, and people often made fun of him, making him feel isolated from society. Loki was ecstatic when he met Harr, and started to depend on him for survival.
Loki and Harr would often fish for food every few days. As fish were abundant in the lake near their home. It was on one of their fishing trips that they met the doll-like Mad Hatter, Oliver Knight. Oliver had come to Wonderland from the Land of Reason, taken by the Disciples of Magic, been experimented on and cursed to live in the body of a child. Despite his childlike appearance, he possessed a temper as short as himself and wit as sharp as a knife.
The Mad Hatter told his two new acquaintances that he was on his way to see the Magical Man of Wonderland in the Tower of Magic, to find a cure for his condition.
Loki was excited to hear about the possibility of a cure for their curses, but Harr was skeptical. With much pleading from the Cheshire Cat, the Joker agreed, as they joined the Mad Hatter on his quest. Before long, the three men had become close friends. They found comfort and joy in this newfound friendship as they traveled day and night to reach the Tower.
Upon reaching the tower, they were greeted with a sign that said, "Welcome travelers. You are permitted to meet the Magical Man of Wonderland by climbing up the invisible staircase one by one, and he shall fulfill any and all of your wishes." The three friends look at each other wondering who should go first when Harr speaks up. "Oliver, you should go up first," He said. Loki nodded in agreement, "Go ahead Oliver, fulfill your wish."
Oliver thanked his friends before going up to the tower and about twenty minutes later, he walked back down to where Harr and Loki were waiting, except, he was still a child. Loki's eyes widened as he asked, "What happened? Why are you still a child?" Oliver shrugged and said, "The Magical Man said to wait for nightfall."
Harr was about to question Oliver but bit his tongue. He was curious who the Magical Man was. Almost as if he read his mind, Loki asked, "What did the Man look like? Was he scary?" He asked. Oliver scoffed and said, "He wasn't as much a man as he was a small ball of fire."
"Now I really want to go up there to meet the Man," Whined Loki. Harr smiled softly for a moment before returning to his usual stoic expression. He nodded, "Alright Loki, you may go to see the Magical Man next. Remember, if anything feels wrong, send me a signal." He said. Loki winked at Harr, "Of course I will Harr, you know I will!" Loki then scampered up the invisible staircase to the top of the tower.
After what seemed like an eternity, Loki returned, with a big grin on his face. He skipped over to his friends and twirled, "Look! I have no tail or ears anymore!" He said. In a moment of carelessness, Loki's eyes glowed red, sending Harr and Oliver flying back. Harr managed to bring Loki's power under control. He frowned since Loki's power was now stronger than before. "Loki, what did you see in the tower?" asked Harr. "Just a giant magic crystal," He said, tilting his head to one side.
Without any further words, Harr used his magic to teleport himself to the tower, furious. "Amon! Show yourself you coward!" He bellowed.
"Well well, if it isn't the joker," Said the man, Amon. "Harr Silver, what is your wish?"
Harr gritted his teeth at the man's voice as he looked around the large room, only to spot the familiar robed man. His long white hair and sharp features only added to the fearful nature of his menacing grin. "What have you done to Loki and Oliver?" Harr asked. Amon laughed, "Well, I granted their wishes, each with their own consequences. Oliver will be a child by day and adult by night, while the cat will have magic power even stronger than yours." He cackled as Harr watched on.
It turned out that Harr was an old student of Amon, and left the tower after learning about Amon's plans for destruction. Amon looked at Harr as he pulled out a magic crystal, "How about I grant your wish now, you wanted an end to the magic in your left eye didn't you?" He asked as he crushed the crystal. Harr cried out in pain as his left eye burned, tears streaming down his face. His eyes were glowing red. Unable to bear the pain any longer, Harr fell unconscious.
When he awoke, he was outside, Loki and Oliver on either side. "Amon? Where's the Magical Man of the Tower?" He asked frantically. "And my eye, why can't I see out of it?"
Loki looked at Harr as he placed a hand on his shoulder. "Harr, you just appeared here, the man is probably still in his tower. And Your left eye, Oliver says the injury was too severe, you won't be able to see out of it."
Harr shut his eyes and sighed heavily. He decided not to tell Loki and Oliver about the tower, instead, he said that his wish was granted. Oliver returns to the central quarter afterward, as Loki and Harr return to their house near the Lake of Tears.
The boy looked up at his mother as she finished her story, "And what happened next mother? Where did the Man in the Tower go?"
She shrugged as she smiled. "I don't know about that my son. But we don't need to worry about that yet. Now. Go to bed, it's getting late."

Chapter Text
The world was dark, everything was hazy. One could hear the distant sounds of swords clashing and the thumping of hooves. Men were shouting war cries. The air reeked of blood and death.
Sasuke Mikumo's eyes fluttered open as he was greeted by a bright orange sky and the sights one could only associate with war. From the corner of his eye, Sasuke spotted a man crouched on the ground. He sensed some movement, and before he knew it, Sasuke's feet were moving on their own as he pushed the man out of the way of an arrow. The rest of the events were a blur as the next thing Sasuke remembers is sitting in a large hall, surrounded by men who seemed to belong to a historical movie.
"You don't seem to be from around here," Said one of the men. Sasuke whipped his head towards a man with stunning blonde hair and a piercing gaze of different coloured eyes. Sasuke fumbled, but shook his head, "No, I am not from here." He said.
"What's your name?" asked the man. Sasuke paused for a moment, before introducing himself, "Sarutobi. My name is Sasuke Sarutobi."
****
A peaceful fullmoon night had fallen over Kasugayama castle. Sasuke had discovered that he had saved the Sengoku warlord, Kenshin Uesugi's life, and now Kenshin would train Sasuke in the art of the ninja, and provide him with a place to stay. However, what puzzled Sasuke the most was the events that led to this moment. Just a few hours ago, he was standing at the Honno-ji monument with his girlfriend, Rukmini.
Flashback:
Sasuke Mikumo had met up with his girlfriend Rukmini Chakrabarty at the cafeteria at Kyoto University. They were both working on their joint post graduation thesis on astrophysics specializing in wormholes and time travel. While researching, Sasuke had made an interesting finding. "Rukmini?" He started, as they ate their spaghetti. The girl looked up from her plate, gesturing for Sasuke to speak.
"According to my calculations, a wormhole is supposed to open near the Honno-ji monument, and it should take us 500 years into the past. I want to test it out, would you join me?" He asked. Sasuke was nervous that she would refuse, or call his calculations stupid.
"Sure." Said Rukmini, catching Sasuke off-guard. Rukmini looked at her boyfriend of two years closely as she continued, "We'll be together, right?"
Sasuke nodded as he smiled a rare smile, "Of course we'll be together!" He exclaimed.
Flashback end
They had gone to the monument together when the wormhole appeared, yet Rukmini was nowhere to be seen. Endless possibilities ran through Sasuke's head. Could Rukmini be stuck in another dimension? Did he actually travel through time? Could Rukmini have stayed back in their original time? Sasuke could feel hiss heart clench as he thought about the worst possibilities.
He had been dating Rukmini for two years now. They had met at university as they had been studying in the same department. Sasuke had fallen in love with her goofy personality and her dedication to academics. Sasuke winced as he felt the pangs of separation. He loved Rukmini, more than anything in this world. Sasuke dedicated the next four years of his life to calculations, and the study of ninjutsu. Sasuke met some friends along the way, including Shingen Takeda and his faithful vassal Yukimura Sanada. Over time, Yukimura became Sasuke's closest friend and support system in the Sengoku era.
Sasuke's calculations predicted that Rukmini would arrive four years after him at Honno-ji.
One day, Sasuke was on a scouting mission away from Eichigo, when he was ambushed. He fought valiantly, but the enemy overpowered him, beating him down. It was only when Yukimura arrived with reinforcements that the attackers fled.
Injured and frightened, Sasuke cried himself to sleep that night. What would happen if he had died? Who would tell Rukmini? Who would comfort her when she arrived? All Sasuke wanted was to feel her warmth, and to reassure her, and himself that he was still alive. Sasuke missed Rukmini, he really did.
****
Four years had passed since Sasuke had first arrived in the Sengoku era. He was with Kenshin, Shingen, Yoshimoto and Yukimura, as they travelled through the forests near Honno-ji for scouting. They had heard about Oda activity near the territory. Sasuke was glad, as he expected Rukmini to arrive in the Sengoku on that day. The party observed activity near the temple as they lay in wait. Yukimura had gone ahead while Sasuke waited in the shadows.
Suddenly, Sasuke heard Yukimura arguing with someone. He rushed towards the voices and spotted Yukimura talking to a woman. The woman seemed familiar. Sasuke's breath hitched in his throat as he caught a clearer glimpse of her face. Sasuke moved closer to listen in on their conversation. The others join Yukimura and start questioning her. Sasuke knew that the girl was getting nervous. He emerged from his spot as the girl's eyes lit up as she noticed him. Sasuke looked at her, tears pricking at his eyes. He felt that he was alive again.
"I'll escort her back to the city," Sasuke offered. The men were reluctant, but agreed, considering Sasuke was the safest option.
Once Sasuke was sure that they were alone, he pulled the woman into his arms and let the tears fall. "Rukmini," He whispered, "I've been waiting for you."

Chapter Text
It was just an average night at the Azuchi Castle. Rukmini Chakrabarty has finished her chores for the day and was now reading through a book Mitsunari had lent her as she waited for a certain ninja to arrive. Soon enough, there was a light knock on her ceiling as the board moved to reveal the said ninja. He dropped to the floor as Rukmini wrapped her arms around him. "Hey.." whispered the man as he wrapped his arms around the girl. She giggled as she felt his breath tickle her ears. "Hello my love." She says as she quickly pecks his cheeks.
"I missed you." She said.
"I missed you too," said the ninja, as he pulled away from the hug to bring his mask down. The ninja was handsome with sharp features and light brown eyes. His hair was messy and framed his perfectly chiseled jawline. He adjusted the pair of glasses perched on his nose before wrapping his arms around Rukmini again.
Both of them shut their eyes as they basked in each other's warmth, listening to the sound of each other's heartbeat.
Although she had been dating Sasuke for two years, Rukmini still felt giddy whenever she saw Sasuke. She was so madly in love with him. She felt a sense of comfort whenever he was near.
They pulled away after a short while and lay down on Rukmini's futon, cuddling each other. They were talking about their day, and sure enough, the conversation shifted to astrophysics.
Somewhere in the middle of Sasuke's explanation about wormholes, Rukmini yawned. Sasuke was worried that he may have talked for too long, so he asked, "I'm not boring you am I? Should I shut up?" He asked.
Rukmini rolled her eyes as she looked up at his face, and said, "No. Never Shut up. Keep talking. I love hearing your voice."
Sasuke just chuckled before pressing a soft kiss on her forehead and then her lips, as he continued to talk. Slowly, but surely, Rukmini fell into a deep and peaceful sleep.

Chapter Text
Cradle was eerily quiet that night. The red and black armies were marching towards the central quarter. Tonight, the 500 year old tension between the two sides would finally be settled.
All the red army officers led their squadrons, solemn expressions on their faces. All officers but two. The Queen of Hearts, Jonah Clemrnce, was to ensure Alice the Second's safe return to the Land of Reason.
However, no one knew what the King was up to. No one but her. Niamh Clemence rode out of the Red Army Headquarters, into the forbidden forest. She met with the Wizard, Harr Silver and his apprentice, Loki Genetta, begging them for help. Harr finally gave in, giving Niamh some magic crystals. She immediately used one to teleport to the base of the Magic Tower.
She noticed a heavily guarded spot. Assuming it was the way to the top, she charged, magic crystals in hand. Dodging the disciples, and using magic to fend off attacks, she made it to the leader's hall. Lancelot was already facing off against Amon, the leader of the tower. She noticed Anon charging up a crystal, ready to shoot a huge beam of magic at Lancelot. Niamh's feet started to move on their own, pushing Lancelot out of the way of the blast, only to be hit herself.
"NIAMH!" yelled Lancelot as he watched the ginger haired girl fell to the ground with a soft thump. Filled with rage and fear, Lancelot charged at Amon, with his most powerful spell. Amon scrambled to defend himself, but in vain, as Lancelot overpowered him. A few long seconds later, Amon lay on the ground, defeated. Lancelot made his way to Niamh and kneeled beside her. He scooped her up in his arms, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Why?" He croaked, trying his best not to cry. "Why did you do this?"
Niamh smiled weakly, reaching up to wipe Lamcelot's tears. Her fingers felt cold against his warm skin. "I knew what you were planning Lance. I couldn't let you die. Cradle needs you, the army needs you, I need you." She whispered.
"And what about you? How do you think we would feel if you died? How would I feel?" He cried. "Nothing matters as long as you're here Lance. Please be happy for me," she said, wincing in pain. "I love you. I love you so much Lancelot." She whispered, starting to feel weaker. Slowly but suddenly, her eyes closed as she lost consciousness.
Words can't describe the sound of anguish that escaped Lamcelot's throat at that moment. He held Niamh close to his chest.
"What happened here?" Called a voice from the entrance. Lancelot looked up to see the Queen of Hearts and Niamh's older brother, Jonah, worry etched across his porcelain features.
Jonah rushed to their side as he checked both Lancelot and aniamh for injuries. Tears rolled down his cheeks . "What happened to her King Lancelot?" He yelled.
Lancelot looked up into Jonah's eyes, a mixture of fear, regret and grief swimming in the crystal blue ocean of his own eyes. Lancelot pulled Jonah close, with Niamh held tight in his other arm. "We need Kyle. I'll explain everything when we get home.", He said. Lancelot teleported all three of them to Niamh's room in the Red Army Headquarters, and immediately sent for Kyle, the doctor. Lancelot explained everything to Jonah, from his pact with Amon to the fight that had just happened. Lancelot sent Jonah to the Central Quarter to call off the battle.
Meanwhile at he Headquarters, Kyle and Lancelot were talking about Niamh's condition. They both knew that Niamh could not be cured by regular medicine since she was hit by magic.
Lancelot looked at Niamh's sleeping form, and immediately knew what he had to do. His azure eyes turned into crimson rubies. Before Kyle could stop Lancelot, the spell was cast and Lancelot fell to the ground, unconscious.
Niamh was not aware of what was happening as she had been transported to the land of her dreams. She was surrounded by all the people she cared about. Edgar and Jonah were bickering while Zero watched them in amusement, and Kyle was already drinking his fifth pint of beer. Niamh's eyes searched the area for Lancelot, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around, and saw Alice. "Alice?" She said.
"Niamh, your love for Lancelot is powerful. I'm sorry I never noticed it. I have returned to the Land of Reason. Go, your King is waiting for you." She said. Niamh was left speechles as Alice's form started to far away. "Wake up Niamh, and live." Whispered Alice as she faded into the abyss, jolting Niamh up from her slumber.
"Niamh? Niamh!" Called Kyle, the red army doctor and Niamh's best friend. Niamh blinked a couple of times, her eyes adjusting to the light in he room. She looked around and spotted Kyle sitting beside her.
"Kyle?" She called. "How long was I out?"
Kyle smiled bitterly, "Three days. Lance used his magic to save your life." He said. Niamh could feel her stomach drop. Thoughts swirled around her head. Kyle spoke again, "He's alive. And waiting for you. But he did end up using whatever last power he had. He's been waiting for you to wake up. Go find him." He said.
Niamh shot out of bed and hugged Kyle quickly, "Thank you Kyle. I'll make it up to with drinks later." She said before running out of the room. Kyle shook his head, laughing a little. "You don't have to make anything up to me idiot." He sat down at the edge of the bed, sighing softly to himself. "I would do anything to see you smile." He mumbled, feeling a strange ache in his heart. "Lance better treat you right."
Niamh ran down the halls, looking for Lancelot, or someone who knew where he was, when she bumped into something, rather, someone.
"Niamh!" Yelled the person as he lifted Niamh off her feet, spinning her in a circle. "You dummy! You could have died!"
Niamh looked up to find her brother, Jonah's amber eyes, red with exhaustion and unshed tears. "Big brother.." she whispered, feeling tears well up in her eyes. Jonah kissed her forehead and hugged her tight. "At least you're safe now. That's all that matters to me. Let me take you to the King." He said.
Niamh nodded as she hugged back, "Thank you Jonah. I love you."
"I love you too little sister." He said. Jonah led Niamh out of the headquarters and to a carriage which transported them to the civic center. As soon as the carriage stopped outside the building, Niamh hopped out, running to the rooftop garden.
When she reached, she was immediately mesmerised by the sight of Lancelot standing tall and proud. "Lance?" She called out to him. Lancelot turned around, a soft smile on his face. All traces of pain and sadness were gone from his eyes. "Niamh."
Niamh threw her arms around Lancelot. He wrapped his strong arms around her, holding her close to his chest. "Before you say anything, let me speak." He said, pulling away from the embrace. He took away a few steps away from Niamh. "I know I have not been very good to you these past few months. Firstly, I would like to apologize for hurting you so much." He said. "You are very important to me Niamh. You are the reason I am still here, alive. You've taught me how to love and appreciate the little things in life. You've taught me the true meaning of love and I could never thank you enough." Lancelot paused for a moment as he looked into Niamh's eyes. Niamh was now crying tears of joy. Lancelot too shed a few tears.
"I want to open this new chapter of life with you by my side." Lancelot got down on one knee as he took Niamh's hands in his. "I'm in love with you Niamh Clemrnce. Would you do me the honour of allowing me to grow old with you and spend the rest of time together?"
Niamh nodded, smiling brightly through her tears. "Yes Lance, yes! I would love that! I love you so so much!"
Lancelot grinned as he stood up, pulling Niamh close to him. He kissed the back of her hands before kissing her lips softly, but passionately. As their lips connected, so did their souls, forming a bond that would stay strong for all eternity.
