“They’re delicious, John.”
“And?”
“And it’s definitely shortbread.”
“Go on, Sherlock.”
“John, this can’t be purely Anderson’s recipe. Surely you must have altered something.”
“I did not. I made them exactly like he told me to make them, even if Mrs. Hudson’s tip about when to take them out of the oven saved the day.”
“Aha! So Mrs. Hudson-”
“Still Anderson’s recipe, Sherlock.”
“Oh god, must I say it?”
“Please.”
“Anderson’s recipe for shortbread is delicious. There. I’ve said it. But you made them so I refuse to give him full credit.”
