Day Six: Hell of Mirrors

Summary:

This one takes place after Day 3&5: Cooking Idol.
In this one its Tsukasa's turn to try and get his friends together. And in true Tsukasa fashion it's not going to be in a normal way.

I would also like to thank my great friend Baronesscmd for creating the tag Tsukasa is bitey. I hope I did the bitey boy justice.

Work Text:

Morons.

Kou and Mitsuba are both morons who can’t just admit how they feel for one another, so Tsukasa and Nene have decided to take it into their own hands.

After Nene’s attempt to get them together failed at the karaoke club, Tsukasa has now put together, as he calls it, a foolproof plan to get them together. Because as Tsukasa knows, (from first hand experience) fear brings two people closer together.

It also just happens to be Halloween time, which makes it the perfect time to scare people without anyone getting upset. Given he has had many people yell at him for scaring them solely for the fact that it was easy and fun.

Tonight, as Nene had worded it, he was going to put his skills of scaring people to good use in getting their friends together.

Given, Tsukasa had to pretend to be his brother because of the incident at last year's Halloween carnival. Getting into the Hell of Mirrors ride is going to be easy, and not just because his friend Lemon is working there.

The blond is usually so engrossed into his phone most of the time he won’t notice anything other than maybe someone dying. Since Lemon was eighteen, he has been working at the Halloween carnival and has roped in one or more of his friends to work with him every year, which is convenient for the plan.

Aside from Lemon, Nene and Mei are the only ones who know about ‘Amane’ working there this year, Mei knows because she is making sure Teru is busy so he doesn’t ruin it again.

Which works perfectly; If too many people knew those two probably wouldn’t have agreed to meet with Nene and Amane.

Sitting in the control room with Lemon wasn’t very fun solely for the fact that he wasn’t watching the body cam footage from all of the guests in the mirror maze. Every so often he took over the microphone to either make a spooky noise to scare people or to redirect the scarers for maximum screams.

That is until he receives a text message informing him of Kou and Mitsuba’s arrivals with Amane and Nene not too far behind.

Once Nene and Amane arrive moving toward the front gates to get their tickets someone questions how Amane is there when he should be working. Panicked Nene mumbles a response about how they are mistaken and it’s the wrong person.

Tsukasa and Nene may have “forgotten” to rope Amane in on the plan which worries him slightly but he is going to give the two the benefit of the doubt. Besides, if it involved his brother and Nene it couldn’t be too bad, or at least not life threatening.

At least Amane hoped it wasn’t life threatening.

Once they met up with Mitsuba and Kou they made their way to the Hell of Mirrors maze. They were all talking about which route they were going to take when Nene started to tease them.

Given, her and Mitsuba always teased one another but this time was different; she had nudged Amane to help. That was the exact moment he realized what the two had been up too and a sense of pity coursed through him.

Knowing even if he didn’t help Tsukasa and Nene, they would still end up getting Kou and Mitsuba to do what they wanted, which made Amane pity them even more. To be honest, he can’t say no to his adorable girlfriend, so he began teasing the two boys about not being brave enough to go into the Nine Circles route for the maze.

And just like that the two boys turn to each other to share a quick look and a nod.

Nene was so happy that they agreed to go into the Nine Circles route whereas Amane only felt pity and a touch of shame.

Just as Kou and Mitsuba enter the maze, Nene shoots Tsukasa a message signaling the start of the plan.

Having effectively shoved Lemon out of the control room, Tsukasa now had no obstacles in his way; moving all of the scarers with the skill and efficiency as well as a trained military general that would either wow or terrify someone.

With all his pawns at the ready and the footage from Mistuba and Kous’ cameras’ running, everything was a go.

Nene and Amane were enjoying the maze, getting a little scared every so often, given they did take the easier route. Amane wasn’t going to complain, he was hoping to take the easier route especially after reading the note from Tsukasa.

The elder twin was worried that his brother was taking this too far, but he knows there is no way to get out of it now.

Just as Nene and Amane exited the maze, they heard two blood curdling screams coming from behind them. Nene had a look of worry whereas Amane just sighs, dragging his girlfriend off to the side.

Yes, Amane was going to try and ignore the screams of terror coming from the maze that he knows his brother is responsible for.

Tsukasa admired his work seeing that Mistuba was now being cradled in Kous’ arms as he dashes through the rest of the maze setting off all of the well placed scarers to continue their assault.

Just when he was going to give another command, a hand snatched his collar to pull him back; the hand belonged to a rather bored Lemon, glancing at the monitors to see what poor souls he had tormented this time around.

With a sigh he states, “Tsukasa you should probably get out of here before someone comes to see what’s going on.”

Not entirely shocked that Lemon knew it was Tsukasa instead of Amane, he merely gives him an innocent smile but gathering up four copies of the footage before dashing out the door.

Nene and Amane have been waiting on a bench near the exit of the maze looking for their friends. Nene was beginning to worry that Tsukasa had gone too far, but Amane didn’t have to think his brother went too far; he knew he had.

As they sat there waiting, a blur of blonde and pink went zooming past them with voices shouting for them to come back.

Without looking to Nene, Amane stands, holding his hand out for her to grab so that the two can go and gather their petrified friends from the corner they were cowering in.

After finally getting the two to release the other from the death grip they had, Amane and Nene return the body cams to the Hell of Mirror workers. Kou and Mitsuba continued to grip onto each other long after they left the maze.

The four of them were just walking around chatting about their night and what else they were planning to do, when the devil himself came into view.

Tsukasa, just skipping along still in his work outfit, sees the four people he had been searching for. Glancing over to Mitsuba and Kou, noticing that they are both still huddled together with arms linked, smiling wider.

Draping himself over his brother and future sister-in-law, pride radiating off of him for a job well done.

At the same time, something clicked in Kou and Mistubas’ heads, almost like they were sharing a brain cell, that all of this was Tsukasa’s doing. Without missing a beat, Tsukasa holds out two flash drives smirking, “You guys want to see my new favorite home videos?”

Mitsuba launches himself at the little devil trying to rip the drives from his grasp, failing at each attempt. Kou being dragged along solely for the fact that Mitsuba refused to let go of his hand.

As the group make their way toward the exit there are whispered rumors of what happened in the Hell of Mirrors maze, all of them include two men dying from sheer fright. Lemon had to explain that he had no idea who it was directing the scarers because he had been locked out of the control room for the event in question.

Now not only was Tsukasa banned from working at the carnival, but Amane was as well which was not surprising after all of the night's events. Tsukasa also figured that he shouldn’t mention he hadn’t paid for those videos in the typical sense.

Nene was scolding him slightly, while fighting back a smile, at the method he went about doing it saying that it wasn’t a success and they needed a new plan.

Tsukasa glances over noticing that the two were still gripping onto each other. Everyone else might be saying tonight was a failure, but to Tsukasa it was a total success.
