Chapter Text

Thor stood outside the classroom in Yale University he shifted uncomfortably looking at the plaque on the door which read Dr Loki odinson. He hasn't seen his brother in 15 years when loki ran away when he was a senior in high school and Thor was to busy with his team to notice he was gone. There mother let him get GED and he left it wasn't until later that Thor found out why Loki was adopted but that was all his father would tell him make Thor angry thinking Loki had overreacted but it wasn't until recently that Thor found out the whole truth the day Loki left he and Odin were having an argument and Odin said in anger that he should have never have adopted  laufey Son, laufey was a leader of the biggest gang in norway, and Odin just left Loki alone with this information took him to a dark place. According to his mother she found Loki and talked to him and he told her that he doesn't want to live anymore that it all made sense why father favored Thor over him, mother knew that father neglected Loki and she convinced him not to take his life but Leve she helped him get his GED and signed him up to Yale University in the United States and Thor knew Loki was smart enough for that school so he left and only stayed in contact with there mother.

So with what mother told him Loki got his PhD in chemistry and English and became a teacher at Yale he teached both advanced chemistry and English. So here he was standing outside his brothers classroom trying to build up the courage to go in. As Thor had this inner conflict the door to the classroom opened and students started filing out of the room he, cursed himself for not thinking that he could be teaching right now, as he looked into the room froze there he was his little brother his hair was longer now down to his shoulders, he was wearing a black suit, black tie, and black dress shoes he was talking happily with some students. Thor has never seen his brother so calm and happy before.

One of his students notice store and seemed to tell Loki about his presence. When Loki finally looked at him his eyes went wide in shook he excused himself before walking over to Thor his face loses its happens and was replaced with a more  serious one." What are you doing here Thor." Thor shifted uncomfortable refusing to look Loki in the eye. " I came here to talk to apologise for the way I acted when we where younger." Loki crossed his arms over his chest narrowing his eyes. " What is there to talk about." It was more of a statement then a question. " I know about your birth father and how I won't there for you when you needed me I just want to have my brother back."  Loki hummed in thought for a moment." I have another class to teach but you can meet me up at the schools library afterwards." Thor gave Loki a beaming smile. " Thank you I will be there."

As soon as Thor left Loki took his phone out of his pocket and called his wife. " What is it lackey I'm at practice right now this better be good." Loki smiled Brunnhilde was the captain of the Valkery fencing team and took practice seriously but since he never calls her when he is at work unless it is important. " Thor came to my classroom after my class." On the other end Loki hears Brunnhilde put down her sword and let's out a frustrated sigh. " What does he want."
Her voice was filled with bitterness. " He found out about why I really left and that his parents aren't my real ones and he wants to apologise for what he did in the past." He could practically see  Brunnhilde seething in her seat. " So he has finally See's the light after being blind for years." Loki understand her bitterness back then she was the only one who knew the truth of how miserable Loki's childhood was and left with him when her parents kicked her out when they found out she was bisexual. " I decided to hear him out after my next class I will meet him in the library." Brunnhilde hummed in response. " Ok but if he hurts you again I will make shore he regrets it." And with that Brunnhilde hung up and Loki went to teach his next class.

After the class was finally over and Loki was done talking to some students that stayed behind he was heading towards the library. He explained the building and was greated to the crisp Autumn air of Connecticut. The cold never bothered Loki as he walked his mind went back to the last time he was in norway he and Odin where yelling at each other Odin and how Loki should be more like Thor and stop with all the science and be an athlete, while Loki yelled that he was done trying to please him and he is not Thor and he will never be Thor then Odin said the words that changes his life. " I knew we should have never adopted Laufey son but your mother was vary insist." Those simple words broke Loki's reality forever he ran from Odin and went to his mother and she told him everything it was at that moment she help him get his ged and set it up for him and Brunnhilde to stay with her sister Fraya in the USA.

As Loki entered the library he heard Thor before he so him. When he found him Loki so that he was talking to his co-worker and friend Dr Jane foster the astronomy teacher Loki can tell that Thor was trying to flirt with her. Loki rolled his eyes and approach them. " Hello Jane I see you have meet my brother." Loki said with a smirk jane stammered for a moment before answering. " Um well yes I came here to get some books for my class when I so Thor and since I've never seen him before I thought I see why he was here." A blush appears on james face Loki laughed. " Well Thor dose not go into library on his own free will, and jane doesn't your class start seem." Jane eyes widened in shook quickly grabbing her stuff and running out of the room yelling." Tell Brunnhilde and the kids I say hi." And with that she disappeared from view. Loki turned to Thor and took the seat across from him." I must say I am supposed brother I thought the nerds weren't your type."  Thor blushed. " Well I learned a lot since you left." Loki gave Thor a hard stare. " Why are you here Thor leveling you perfect life to see his runt of a not brother."

Thor's eyes want glassy he could not meet his eyes." I am ashamed to say that it took me a week to notice you left I thought you where staying at Brunnhilde house like you always did after a bad fight with father, but when I called Brunnhilde's father and he said that he kicked her out a week ago
That's is when I went to mother and father, father didn't know you where gone either so when mother told me everything." Thor sighed. " Mother and father got into a huge fight but she wouldn't tell us where you went but that you needed to find yourself, and at school my friends keeped saying how good it that you where gone, and that you should have left a long time ago, this infuriated me and I  finally so what me and father were doing to you was not right and I'm sorry."

Loki thought for a moment and sighed. " Thor you don't know what was going on but I will not forgive you yet but I am willing to let you try and change my mind." After a moment Thor spoke up. " Jane said you have a wife and kids?" A found smile grows across his face." Yes Brunnhilde his my wife and trust me is less forgiving than I am, we have three children the oldest is frigga she is ten and the youngest are the twins boys narfi and vali they are five." Thor looked shooked. " You named your daughter after mother." Loki nodded. " It was actually Brunnhilde idea she has done so much for us and she is was the only family I keeped in contact with."

After that Thor and loki talked about there lives, Thor about his hammer throwing carrier and loki talking about his kids, study's, and books he had polished, after a while Loki's phone rang he asked is and when he hung up and looked at Thor. " That was Brunnhilde she was worried something bad happen I lost track of time and I need to be home for dinner." Thor nodded. " Ok but can I see you again?" Loki gave Thor a genuine smile." Of course."

Thor was staying in the cafe for breakfast he was still in a good mood from getting to be able to talk to Loki after so many years. He was just texting his mother when a dark skinned woman sat across from him when he got a better look at her and he so that it was brunnhilde captain of the Valkrie fencing team his friend sif Is a huge fan of her and wants to be like her. A waiter comes over to them and gives Brunnhilde a bottle of some type of alcohol she opened it in one swift Motion and takes a big swig from it." I would say that it was nice to see you again but that would be a lie."

Thor looked at her with confusion she had a Norway accent like him." Do we know each other?" Brunnhilde rolled her eyes." Why am I not surprise you don't know me." She said sarcastically taking another swig of her drink." I know who you are you are brunnhilde captain of the valkyrie fencing team my friend sif is a big fan of yours but who do you know me?"  She looked right into thros eyes." I was your brothers only friend." Thor's eyes widen this was Brunnhilde Haden she had been the only person that was friends with.

" Brunnhilde how are you doing it has been a long time." Brunnhilde slammed her bottle onto the table." Look bull head I was kicked out of my house because I came out as bisexual and the only person I had left was Loki so let me make this clear i will let you see loki but the kids stay out of it and if you hurt my husband in any way you are going to wish you our never born." And with than before Thor could say anything she chugged the rest her drink and left the cafe without another word leveling a bewildered Thor behind.

Loki had a rare day off and he was being his twins Narfi and Nari to the local park while brunnhilde and frigga went on a girls day out. Narfi looked like Loki with black hair greens eyes but he had tan skin from his mother he loves books just like like was at his age. while Nari looked like brunnhilda with brown hair and brown eyes and tan skin he was protective of his brother and more outgoing than his twin but you wouldn't see one without the other.

When they entered the park Loki so Thor sitting on a bench he knew he took the twins hands and lead them over to him Loki knew brunnhilde wouldn't like his brother meeting the twins but Thor wanted to meet his niece and nephews but only Narfi and Nari wanted to meet Thor frigga was still angry at Loki's side of the family for how they treated him but the boys where so excited to meet there uncle. " hello brother." Thor turned around at Loki's voice he smiled at his brother first but then he so the two little people on either side of Loki. He gives them a soft smile." Hello there I am Thor your dads older brother i am so glad to meet you." The twins where quite for a moment before looking at each other than up at there dad how just simply nodded the boys smiled." Hi uncle Thor I am Narfi and this is my little brother Nari." Nari glared at his brother." Only by two minutes!" Loki laughs." Go and play boys me and uncle Thor need to talk." And with that the twins ran away to the play set.

Loki sat next to Thor and they sat in silence watching the twins play it was a while before Thor Brock the silence." You know bunnhilde threatened me if I hurt you she will seat her Rathe on me." Loki laughed." Yep that sounds like her she will do anything to protect the people she cares about." " where is she anyway?" Loki sighed." She and frigga are having a girls day they don't know that the twins and I are here right now." Thor looked at him confused." Why is your daughter angry?" Loki frowned." She is ten she has heard about what happened in my past she hates what happened to us and wants protected us." Guilt filled Thor's eyes." Well she is valiant in her want to protect her family more so that I was." Loki sighed." I must admit you where brash, Ego testicle but I willing to forgive you you don't know what was going on." Before they could talk more the twins running to them." Dad uncle Thor we found a praying mantis." Nari opened his hands and showed them the green bug.

Brunnhilde and her daughter frigga where at the malls cafeteria whiting for there other person to go shopping with. Brunnhilde looked at her daughter and smiled frigga had Loki's black hair and green eyes but she had her skin tone and fierce personality but she did like books like her father. " aunt Sylvie!" Frigga yelled and waved at the short hair blonde Sylvie smiled and approach them.

Sylvie sat down with her sister In law and her niece " hello brunnhilde and Frigga I hope my twin isn't costing you any trouble?" Before she could answer Frigga answered." Uncle Thor is here and dad it talking to him." She huffed clearly upset Sylvie face fell." Really well he was never good at playing ahead I assume you already talked to him brunnhilde." She nodded." More like threatened him he says that he has so the error of his ways and wants to make amends but I just see the jerk from hight school." Sylvie nodded taking in all the information." Oh I know that face that is your therapist brain working." Brunnhilde teased Sylvie smiled." Well I am the superior twin." Frigga laughed." Don't say that infront of dad." And all three of them laughed. " ok Frigga let's stop talking about the big ohf and let's talk about how you how's school."

After all three of them eat they got up." Ok let's see what new outfits we can get." Frigga jumped out of her seat." Let's go to the sports store I want to see if they have good soccer balls." And with that the three girls went off to have fun while Sylvie started scheming.

Thor was woken up my throat front desk lady calling him." Hello?" Thor grumbled." Mr odinson a lady is here asking about you." Thor sighed thinking that this was brunnhilde again probably wanting to talk to him about meeting Narfi  and Vali. " I'll be right there." Thor hung up got dressed and went downstairs to the lobby. But instead Brunnhilde it was a woman that looks strangely familiara she was tail with short blonde hair, emerald green eyes, and pale skin she, had on a black leather jacket green shirt underneath, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. " ah so you are Thor Loki has told me a lot about you." Thor was so confused he didn't know this woman but she knows him and Loki." Who are you?" The blonde woman gave him a slight smirk." I am Sylvie Freyrdottir I'm Loki's twin sister."

Thor looked at Sylvie in shook." What?" Sylvie rolled her eyes." Yay I figured you didn't know about me Loki didn't when I found him. Well when our bio dad get busted and me and Loki where put up for adoption Frigga wanted both of us but Odin didn't want a daughter so they took Loki and I was put into foster care. Bounce around homes most of my childhood until Freyr and Gerd adopted me at 15."  Thor looked at her with sad eyes " I'm sorry." Sylvie shrug." You had nothing to do with it but The reason I'm here is because Brunnhilde told me you where in town to talk to my little brother and I just want to make shore you won't hurt him." Thor looked at her in confusion." Little brothers you said you two are twins?"

Sylvie laughed." Technically I'm two minutes older than him but that's not important right now goldilocks Loki has a good life here, he has family Friends and his children so if you hurt him there will be no where you can hide where I won't find you and your rich family wouldn't save you this time." And with that Sylvie turned around and walked out of the room.

Chapter Text

Loki was in the teachers lounge looking over some notes from his own personal experiment. He doesn't do his experiments at home having dangerous chemicals around the house with small children was a bad idea. " what experiment are you doing now?" Loki looked up from his notes and he so that it was Jane one of the few people he actually likes." Oh just a side project." Loki puts the notes away putting his full attention onto Jane smirking at her." So Jane you and my brother."Jane face turns at red as a tomato as she starts fumbling over her own words." I don't know he was your brother! I don't know you had a brother? Or a family at all besides Sylvie and your mother? You never talked about them." Loki sighed this was going to give him a headache. " well me and my adopted father didn't have the best relationship, he favored Thor for his athletic career there was goodness moment with him like when we played chess together he was the only person I couldn't beat in chess. But he always brushed me off and praised Thor. But mother made up for him and loved me with all her heart and was never afraid of showing it." A found smile appears on his face. " well I Guest she was a great mom you named your daughter after her." Loki remembers how his mother cried over video call when Frigga was born at her first grandchild but that her was named after her. " after i found out about my adoption I just had to leave lucky mother understood and helped me."

Thor meats with Loki for lunch." I don't know you had a twin." Loki continued tell it wasn't a question but a statement. Loki sighed." I see you meet sylvie." Thor nodded." She somehow found out where the I've been staying and threatened me." Thor smirked at him." Looks like you are still the little brother." Loki sighed irritated." She is just older by 2 minutes." Thor frowned." Why did father not take Sylvie we had plenty of room and money." Loki shook his head." Father is stuck in his old ways." Thor sighed." I know but he is getting better at being more opened minded." Loki nodded." I'd like to see that with my own eyes."  Thor's head shot up." Really?" Loki nodded." Yes it's been a long time since I've seen my family. But I need to bring it up with brunnhilde." Thor frowns." Well that will most likely not happen she hates me." " just give her time she will come around."

After there lunch the both of them went back to Yale so Loki can get back to his classes. Thor was happy for Loki he can see a spark in his eyes whenever Loki talks about his wife, children, or his students that Thor had never seen before. Thor is happy Loki is happy but he also felt ashamed that Loki was happy during there childhood. When Loki went back to his classroom Thor was just about to leave when he bumped into the girl he meet in the library knocking her papers out of her hands." I'm so sorry malady. " Thor went back to help pick up her papers" you're Loki's brother right?" Thor nodded." Yes and you are Jane." James faces went as red as a tomato." You know me name?" Thor chuckles." Yes my brother told me it." They talked for a while." I was wondering Jane if you would like to go on a date?" Jane got redder." I get out of work at 5." Janes phone went off." Fuck! I'm going to be late see you after my shift Thor!" And with that Jane ran away.

Chapter Text

When Loki got out of his classroom, Thor pulled him aside." Ah! What are you doing, you ofe!" But before Loki could continue, Thor interrupted him." I have a date with Jane after she gets off of work." Loki looks at his brother in confession." Why are you nervous, Thor? You have been on plenty of dates before." Thor sighed, running his hand through his hair." I know, but they where All athletes, and many were not the brightest. I've never been with someone smarter than me." Loki couldn't hold back his laughter." Hey! This is no laughing matter, brother; you know Jane, you must help me." It took Loki a while to finally stop laughing, but he was finally able to compose himself." Ok, Thor, I'll help you, but only because Jane usually puts her work above herself, and it would be good for her to get out for once."

When Jane finally finished her work, she left the building where she found Thor. She has to say that Thor was not usually the type she would go for, but he is Loki's brother, and Loki was her best friend, so that he couldn't be just a dime jock." Jane! I hope your case went well. I have to say I don't know where the best places are here, so you can pick where we can go." Jane smiled; it impressed her that he could admit he didn't know something and wanted her to choose." That's OK. I know this great cafe near here." The two of them went to the restaurant.
Jane ordered her usual, and Thor ordered a simple burger and fries." So Thor, what is your life like up in Norway? Loki doesn't talk much about his time there or his family. I don't even know he had a brother." Thor shifted uncomfortably." Well, it was good for me. My father runs a successful company, I am a professional hammer thrower, and I have two loveing partners and great friends. I thought at first that Loki had the same thing I did, but it wasn't till after he left that I saw the correct façade that my father had created. I had to learn some tough lessons that I'm glad I did because it made me a better person. But enough about me. I am interested in the stuff that you are researching."

Thor just sat there and listened to Jane talking about her research. He usually doesn't like listening to stuff like this, but the way Jane explains it makes it sound interesting.” I’m sorry you probably don’t want to hear about it.” Thor jumped in.” No no! Well, usually I’m not, but the way you explain it is interesting.” Jane smiled; maybe Thor was not just a dumb athlete.

Chapter Text

Loki and Brunnhilde were getting ready for the monthly DnD game with their friends Mobies, O.B., Casey, Sylvie, and Bea." Kids, we are leaving. Get down here now." Brunnhilde yells upstairs to their kids." Coming!" Frigga, Nari, and Váli run down the stairs, excited to play with Mobies kid Keven and Sean while the adults play their game. It was a short drive to Mobies house, and as soon as they pulled in, Keven and Sean ran out of the house, and Frigga, Nari, and Váli  runs out of the car." Keven Sean! I can't wait to continue our game!" The twins yell in unison. Loki and Brunnhilde got out of the vehicle and approached the kids." Hello Sean, has your dad let you have a snake yet?" Sean shook his head." No, he doesn't like feeding them mice, but when I come to your house, can I hold your snake?" Loki smiles. Sean and Keven remind him so much of him and Thor as children he did miss those times." Of course, I know how to hold Jörmungandr correctly, and he does love you."

Sean smiles and runs off to play with the other kids." Do not set anything on fire!" Don Mobies came out of the house to greet them. Loki turns to his closest friend." You now don't have to feed snakes live mice." Mobies glare at Loki." Trying to get me to change my mind about letting Sean have a snake." Loki gives him a mischievous smile." He is excellent with Jörmungandr, and I've been teaching him all he needs to know about taking care of a snake, and you wouldn't have to feed them. Sean is fine with feeding Jörmungandr, and I can pick out the snake that will be perfect for your house. It didn't have to be a green tree python like Jörmungandr." Mobies sighed." I'll think about it now lest I get inside. O.B. Says that he has a great sense for us today."

In the dining room, everything was all set up. Sylvie, Bea, O.B., and Casey sat around the dining room table. Sylvie looked up when she heard the door open and smiled at them as they walked in.” Glad you could make it. Let’s get this dungeon finished.” Loki stepped forward.” Before we begin, I bet you have all heard Thor is in town and wants to get to know me again. I genuinely think he has changed and wants to rebuild our relationship, but I’m hesitant. I’ve only interacted with him at work and the park. I want to have him over at the house for dinner, and Brunnhilde, as well as Sylvie, already threatened him, so what do you guys think.” The room was silent for a moment.” If he has changed, then I think it would be a good idea as long as Sylvie is there so he knows to be on his best behavior.” Brunnhilde answered, and Sylvie nodded in agreement.” Can I bring Bea with me?” Brunnhilde smiled.” Of course.” Mobies spoke up.” If you want the kind to stay here when Thor is at your place, I’ll be happy to let them have a sleepover.” Loki shook his head.” No, but thank you for the offer.” Casey interrupted.” I agree as well, but can we get the game started? I want to try out some new inventions on the enemies.”

Chapter Text

Thor has never been this nervous in his entire life, not even when he competed in the Olympics for hammer throwing. In the Olympics, he knew what he was doing and what to expect, but he hadn't known Loki in years, so he didn't know what to expect, and he was scared of upsetting Brunnhilde. He has seen what she can do with a sword. She was the reason the Valkyries won gold at the Olympics. He remembers her threat the day at the café. At least he has already met his twin nephews Nari and Váli, and they like him at least.

When Uber finally stops at Loki's address, Thor is floored. It was a modest two-story house with a big yard and a fantastic garden that could rival his mother's. He couldn't see too much of the backyard, but they had an ingrown pool with a waterfall and hot tub. The house was a dark green, and the roof was black. Thor stands in front of the door, and it takes him a few minutes to work up the courage to knock. Thor expected either Loki or Brunnhilde to answer the door, but he was surprised that Sylvie opened it." Well, if it isn't thunder pants, my brother told me you were coming over, so I went for the drama. Hey, smart-ass, Thor is here!" " I'm coming, dumbass!" When Loki appeared, he was not wearing his suit; he was wearing a green dress shirt and black pants. Even when he is relaxing, he is still dressed to impress." I'm glad you could make it, Thor. I've made Mother Rakfisk recipe." Thor's eyes lighten up. Rakfisk was one of their favorite things their mother made.

Eating all together was weird. Nari and Váli were chatting about their day at school while Loki's daughter Frigga barely acknowledged him. She was a spitting image of Brunnhilde but had Loki's eyes." Frigga, why are you being so mean to Uncle Thor?" Nari asked innocently. Frigga rolled her eyes." You two might have forgotten how bad of a brother he was to father." " Frigga!" Loki yelled, but she just got up and left, going to the backyard. Thor got up and followed his niece. When he got to the backyard, he saw Frigga sitting in one of the lawn chairs next to the pool, where he sits next to her." You are right. I was terrible when we were children. I constantly picked on him for being different, and when he left, I didn’t even notice till a week later, and I failed to notice our father's favoritism. But I think the world of your father, I still do. He is so intelligent and charming. And cunning, I’ve realized my failures and am true to fix my mistakes. You can be mad at me all you want. God knows I deserve it, but please let me have this Second chance to prove that I am worthy to be in your and your family’s lives.” Frigga finally looks at him.” You know you're not as muscular as you are on TV.” Thor laughs, and Frigga laughs as well.

Chapter Text

Thor eventually decided to stay in the USA with his brother so he could make up for the times he missed. He also married Jane and adopted a little girl named Love. It took a while, but he was able to convince Loki to talk to their father again, and even Sylvie was able to make a relationship with him. They even took a trip to Norway, where Frigga, Nari, and Vali finally got to have grandparents, and everything has finally been set right.
