Feeling Rayne's soft lips make contact with his own slightly chapped ones, Jeffrey froze in his seat, a deep blush painting his cheeks.
"Are you gonna look like that every time I kiss you?" Rayne giggled.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Jeffrey asked.
"Every time I kiss you your eyes widen and your cheeks turn red," she replied, her fluffy cat tail swishing. "Personally, I think it's cute."
Jeffrey shook his head, "I don't look like that after you kiss me," he quipped.
"Yes, you do," she remarked. "You look like a deer caught in the headlights."
"I do not," Jeffrey stated, pushing Rayne against the couch and hovering over her.
A smirk spread across the cabbit's face when he noticed his feline girlfriend's dark eyes widened and her cheeks took on a rosy hue.
"J-Jeffrey?" she stuttered.
The man's fluffy, feline like tail swished at the mention of his name in such a way. He didn't understand why, though.
"Yes, Rae?" he asked, the star like flecks in his eyes glowing as he peered down at her.
"C-come closer," she requested.
Deciding to tease her he leaned in closer, their lips just inches away from each other.
"How's this?" he purred. "This close enough for yo--"
The cabbit's sentence was abruptly cutoff as his girlfriend planted a passionate kiss on his lips, causing his usually semi lopped rabbit ears to perk straight up for a moment.
"Aww, now you're like a deer and a tomato," she remarked, giggling at his crimson cheeks.
At this, Jeffrey recoiled back and curled up with his tail wrapped around him.
"Or... maybe you're more like a rose," Rayne commented. "You know, because of your prickly personality."
Jeffrey huffed, "I'm not prickly, Rae," he mumbled.
"You are, too," she quipped, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "My Prince of Thorns."
The cabbit's blush grew darker at this action and a warm smile graced his features as he peered through his dark bangs at his girlfriend's smiling face.
"Come closer, Rae," he hummed.
"Yes, Jeffrey?" she said, scooting closer to the man.
The cabbit smirked as he quickly but gently wrapped his arms around the woman in a warm embrace then flopped on his side, shyly intertwining their legs together.
"L-let's take a nap," he murmured, a soft yawn escaping him.
"Sure, my dear," she agreed, leaning into his embrace.
Snuggling even closer to his love, Jeffrey gently wrapped his long, soft tail around them, allowing it to act as a makeshift blanket. After making sure that she and himself would be comfortable he allowed her soft breathing to lull him to sleep.
