Work Text:
Keigo let out a sigh as he put another vase on display in front of the flower shop he was working at. They had a small self on which there were already three vases of flowers, but given that it was close to mother’s day, they have to show what costumers could find.
He straightened up and wiped his sweat off of his forehead with the back of his hand. It was a hot day and lots of people were walking on the street, chatting with each other. It brought a smile on Keigo’s lips. He loved making others happy and seeing their smile because of the bouquets they made in the shop.
Suddenly, amongst the people, he spotted out two long and fluff white ears. He felt a smile appearing on his face. The fact that his best friend worked close to him always made his days better – even if they couldn’t go home together most of the time. Rumi worked at a restaurant, established for people with animal quirks. Given that, it was clear why his friend had chosen that place. Hawks rushed back to the shop and stopped in front of the front desk where his boss was in the middle of making a bouquet of roses.
”Rei-san!” He spoke up and the woman slowly looked up at him.
”Ah, Keigo-chan,” she said with a small smile, making Hawks blush. ”Can I help you?”
”Um…” Hawks started, rubbing the back of his neck with warmed up cheeks. ”I wanted to ask if I can have one of those?” He asked, pointing at the roses in her hands. Rei only smile at him and reached one of the flowers towards him. ”Thank you so much!” Hawks said, then literally flew out of the shop.
Hawks was flying over the crowd, searching for white ears. When he spotted them, he lowered till he levitated beside the woman. He stretched his hand with the rose in it , startling the other.
”I though you might like this,” he said with a smirk and Rumi huffed.
”As much as I appreciate your kindness, if you scare me like this once again I will kick your ass to outer space,” she warned him with slightly narrowed eyes, but Hawks stayed unfazed.
”I know you love me~” Hawks cooed and Rumi rolled her eyes.
”If you really wanted to give me the flower, then give it to me, birdie. I am in a hurry,” Rumi said and Hawks stuck the rose in the bag in her hand. It was quiet funny seeing it standing out amongst all the carrots in her bag. ”Hawks?” Rumi spoke up and Hawks levitated a bit closer. Rumi stood on her tiptoes and pecked him on his cheeks. ”Thanks!”
