After finishing listening to the sixth Scrubb song Tine realized that he's definitely not going to sleep anytime soon. An hour ago he finished doing his night routine and lay down to sleep, but after rolling on the bed a few times he started to get restless and thought that listening to his favorite band in the world would help him to sleep, but he was definitely wrong.
Tine unlocked his phone to turn off the music and immediately saw on his lockscreen a picture of him and Sarawat. It was a selfie they took while they were on their bed, Wat's head on his shoulder and softly smiling while Tine was smiling so big and his arms were holding Sarawat. Tine smiled at the sight of the picture and then he thought that the cause of his insomnia is definitely the gorgeous boy that is his boyfriend.
Sarawat is spending the weekend at his parent's house because it's his mother birthday; he invited Tine to go with him but he couldn't because he had to study for a important exam on monday. They've been living together for almost a year and the only time they slept separated was when they had a break up because of the miscommunication involving Wat's friend, and after getting back together they never spend a single night far from each other, so Tine concludes that he can't sleep because he's definitely, without a doubt, missing his boyfriend. He's so used to sleep curled with the other boy, listening to his breathing and sometimes soft snorts that he realised he just can't sleep with the completely silence of the house.
So after thinking for a few seconds he opened his chat with the boy and decided to send him a message asking if he was awake. Tine looked at his phone for a couple of minutes waiting for a answer and when he was about to give up Sarawat answered him saying that yes, he's awake. So instantly Tine pressed the call button and in a second Sarawat answered.
"Hi." Tine said.
"Hi babe" Sarawat answered with a soft chuckle.
"Did I wake you up? You took a while to answer my message."
"No, you didn't. It's just that I wasn't at my bedroom when you send the message. I was at the kitchen stealing the rest of the birthday cake."
Tine laughed at the boy's words. "I hope you didn't ate everything because I definitely wanna a piece of the cake. It just looks delicious in the picture you send me."
"Don't worry, when we were eating before I could even save a piece for you my dad cut a huge piece and said it's for his favorite boy in the world. Phukong said he didn't need to save a piece of cake for him because he was right there and you know what my dad said? He said that his favorite boy isn't Phukong and it's actually you and the piece of the cake was for you. Phu got mad and said that he's the baby of the family so he should be my dad's favorite boy and my dad just said that isn't his fault that his son-in-law was cooler than his own sons."
After hearing this Tine started to laugh again and after realising Sarawat was also laughing he couldn't help but giggle more.
"I can't believe I only met your dad three times but he still like me that much." Tine felt a tightness on his chest with the tough of being so liked by Sarawat's family.
"Then start to believe because he definitely likes you a lot, Tine. But I mean, I completely understand him, because you're my favorite boy in the world too." Sarawat said and Tine couldn't help but smile, and he knew his boyfriend was smiling too.
"It's been almost a year since we're together and you still flirting with me like this, saraleo!"
"You know that I will always flirt with you. Even when we're old and have white hair I'll flirt with you."
And again Tine was smiling so big. The thought of being with Sarawat until they're old is something that makes him incredibly happy, even though he never said that to the other boy.
"You're so cheesy! I'm wondering why I'm dating you."
"Because you love me." Sarawat said with a hint of fun in his voice.
"Yes, I do. And I miss you already." Tine said. It took a while for him to be comfortable and confident with showing his feelings to Sarawat and expressing them out loud, but after a few months together he could finally be able to say the things he was scared to say before and now he was just as cheesy as Sarawat, even though they still tease each other all the time.
"I love you too, nuisance. And I miss you too. I wish you were here with me."
"I wish I was there, too. Promise that the next time I'll go with you. So how was the day?"
"It was nice. Mom decided she didn't wanted a party, so we just bought a cake and ate together, talked, these stuff. She said that she missed you and wish you were here because she always have fun when you're around."
"Oh my God, I'm starting to think that your parents like me better than you and Phu." Tine said giggling.
"They definitely do. But how was your day? I hope you ate well. You saw I prepared your lunch and dinner and let on the fridge, right?"
"Yes, dad." Tine said sarcastically. "I ate it all. Thank you for preparing the food for me, babe."
"I know you wouldn't prepare food because when you start studying you forget to do anything else, so yeah, you're welcome."
"Oi, I'm not like that, ok! I just stay focused. But today all I did was study and eat, so I don't have anything to tell you, actually. But I'm sooo tired, seriously, this subject is so difficult and I'm scared I'll fail on the test."
"You won't, nuisance. You're smart and work hard, everything will be fine. And even if you fail, you'll retrieve the exam grade. But hey, since you tired why aren't you sleeping yet? You should be resting, love."
Tine sighed before answering. "I, uh, couldn't sleep. That's why a called you." He paused for a second. "It's so silent here and I... I can't sleep without hearing your breath."
"Oh." Sarawat said. "Oh God, Tine, I love you so fucking much."
"So do I."
"Just for you to know, before I went to rob the kitchen I was trying to sleep but just couldn't too. Sleeping without you is horrible."
"And sleeping without you is horrible too. Even though you snort sometimes."
"C'mon, Tine. We were having such a romantic moment and you just say this!" Sarawat said forcing a angry voice but Tine knew he was just kidding.
"Sorry babe, it's bigger than me."
"But returning to what matters, I think you should try to sleep now. You really must be exhausted. Do you want me to sing you a song while you try to sleep?"
"I would love."
"What do you want me to play?"
"You know the answer."
"Ok, which Scrubb song?"
"Good boy." Tine said giggling. "But you can play anyone. Or better, play the one you think about me when you listen to."
"I think about you when I listen any Scrubb song."
"So play the one you think about me the most when you listen."
"Okay then." And then Sarawat started to play Together. And when he sang Tine's favorite part of the song he felt so, so in peace, and so, so desperately in love with Sarawat.
Days, months, and years used to be just a passing wind

"This is the song I think of you the most when I listen, Tine. There isn't one single time I listen to this song I don't think about you because it really seems like this song was written based on what I feel for you. Before you my life passed and it only felt like I was alive but not really living. Days were the same, nothing really made me excited about what future held for me. I used to think that my life was passing fast like wind and it was so fast that I wasn't really living. But then you came and changed everything. With you I feel alive. With you I enjoy every single second of my life, with you I don't really mind about what future hold for me as long as you're with me because you're all that matters. You make me so, so happy everyday, Tine. When I wake up in the morning and feel discouraged about facing my day I think that in the end of the day I'll be back home and I'll be with you and holding you and kissing you and that give me strength to get up and face my responsibilities. It's you, Tine. You're the person that changed everything. You're the person that made my life stop passing like wind because with you I enjoy every damn second and feel like living. You're the person that can make me smile no matter how sad I'm and you changed my love. You're my love."
When Sarawat finished saying that Tine realized he was crying and the other boy realized too.
"Nuisance, are you crying?"
"Of course I'm! You can't just say those things, you know that in the deep I'm a desperate romantic and you just go and say that." He take a breath and continued. "Damn, Sarawat, I love you so much, so freaking much that it's insane."
"And I love you a lot, too."
"I called you because I wanted to hear your fucking breath while trying to sleep and I thought it was cheesy but then it turned you were a double cheesy and said those things and I was a triple cheesy because I started to freaking cry. We're pathetic, Wat."
"Yes, we are. And I love it."
"Me too." Tine said. "I think I'm starting to get sleepy."
"So do I. I think we should go sleep."
"Yeah, we should."
"Good night, Tine. I hope you sleep well."
"Good night, Wat. Hope you sleep well, too."
"Can't wait for tomorrow, I really wanna go home and hug you. Just wait for me."
"Me too, Wat. I'll be waiting for you." I'll always wait for you, Tine thought.
"So good night, Tine."
"You already said good night."
"Twice is better than just once."
"Ugh, such a saraleo. But good night." And after a second Tine just said "Wat, you won't hang up, right?"
"I won't, babe. I'm here with you."
"Ok. See you tomorrow then. Have good dreams."
"I hope I'll dream with you naked then." Sarawat said with a hint of tease in his voice.
"Sarawat!"
"Ok, I'll stop. But I'm not lying anyways. Go to sleep Tine, tomorrow I'll be there. Love you."
"Love you too, saraleo. Good night."
After that Tine locked his phone and put beside his pillow, then took Sarawat's pillow and hugged it. And while feeling the smell of his boyfriend on his pillow and listening to his breath trough the phone Tine finally managed to sleep.
