For Star55
It started one day after quidditch practice. Albus was in the showers late, having spent too much time celebrating out on the field. After all it wasn’t often that Slytherin won the quidditch cup. By the time he made it in most of his teammates had already finished and were heading to the common room for the celebratory party. Soon it was only him and Scorpius Malfoy left in the room, and as he turned to rinse his hair he was met with what seemed to be a vision from heaven. Scorpius’ eyes were closed and his arms were raised as he rinsed the soap from his hair. Water ran in rivulets down his body and Al was stunned. How did he never realize the beauty the boy who was his best friend and slept only a few feet away from him? He quickly turned and finished what he was doing, rushing to escape before that lovely man opened his eyes and saw the evidence of his arousal. Never before had he dressed so quickly and made it back to the party.
Late that evening found Al well past his 5th drink and into his maudlin phase while he secretly stared at his new obsession. Well, maybe it was only secret in his own mind, because soon enough, Scorpius caught his stare from across the room, and looked at him quizzically. Al blushed bright red and rushed back to their room, hoping beyond hope that none of his other dorm mates had decided to retire yet. He was in luck and the room was empty as he made his way and drunkenly flopped onto his bed, groaning into his pillow. How was he ever going to face Scorp again? He was his best friend and he had just been caught ogling his fine, firm arse. The door made a soft noise as it opened and Al dug in further, wishing he had thought to cast a locking charm on his curtains at least, but it seemed that he was too tipsy to even remember to pull them shut. Sure enough he felt a dip in his bed and a hand on his back. He looked up into worried blue eyes, and couldn’t help the strangled cry that escaped his throat. Scorpius just sat and rubbed his back, patiently waiting for Al to spill, as he knew he would. Sure enough, Al looked at him and it all broke loose. He came clean about what had happened, and how he couldn’t bear to hurt their friendship, even though he knew that he could never see Scorpius the same way again. To his surprise, Scorpius looked amused, a small smile playing across his lips as he leaned down and before Al knew it there were soft, warm lips pressing against his and fireworks going off in his brain. Suddenly he knew their relationship was going to survive and it would be the best thing in the world.
