It was early in the day and raining. Most people might not like that weather, but you didn’t mind. You thought there was something soothing about the way the drops hit the roof and the ground.
It was a calming sound that was lulling you back to sleep…well, it would have if you hadn’t heard someone at your door.
You yawn softly and make sure you look presentable for whoever was outside. When you open the door, you see none other than your boyfriend: Jean Pierre Polnareff!
“Bonjour!” Polnareff beamed. He was holding a box with a stuffed animal in it and offered it to you. “Happy birthday, my love!”
“Thank you so much!” You smiled, taking the box.
“I also brought some anime for us to watch!” Your boyfriend said. “Look inside!”
You did, seeing some DVDs and…something else!
“What are the tickets for?” You ask.
“Ah, but of course!” Polnareff takes them out. “These are for the archery place you talked about!”
“You remembered!” You gasped.
“How could I not? Something like that is stored in the treasure trove of my heart, mon chéri.” He winked.
“This is going to be the best birthday ever!” You kiss him, glad that he was here with you on such a special day.
