Work Text:
He never believed in any Gods or Deities, yet he has no trouble believing that the man before him is a song written by the hands of God himself.
The man who owns the place his thoughts are hiding.
And they can be found right underneath his clothes.
"Another intensive training tomorrow?" the blue haired man asks, matching his walking pace with the brunette next to him.
"Yeah. It's going to be like that for another two weeks." the other man answers.
"Bam, are you sure you're not over-working yourself at this point?" The bluenette asks again.
"What are you talking about? Of course not," Bam turns his head a bit, looking at the bluenette, a soft smile on his lips, "I'm fine, Khun. I swear."
"Besides... If this is the only way to get stronger, then so be it."
Khun has hundreds of things to say, yet he chooses to just mutter a tiny, "...I see."
“Master Evankhell isn’t so bad at training me, you know,” the soft smile still hasn’t gone, now accompanied by a small laugh, “well, yeah, she’s really strict and all that. But she’s been a huge help.”
“…whatever you say, Bam.”
After a few minutes of strolling down the hallway, they enter Bam's room, who turns the lights on right after opening the door, Khun following right behind him. He sits at the edge of the bed, facing Bam who’s walking towards the dresser.
"I'm changing my clothes if you don't mind." Bam says.
"Sure. Go ahead."
With that, the brunette pulls the black shirt he's wearing over his shoulders, taking it off.
And just like that, Khun's eyes focuses on him immediately (not that they never were though).
It's just that now, that focus is more specific.
He stares at the brunette's bare back, eyeing those non-symetrical, messy lines and irregular shapes scattered all over his body.
Countless of them, varying from size and shape, to locations.
Some look like claw marks, some look like burn scars, and others he can't quite identify.
Some are in shades of pale white, others in warm pinkish brown hues, standing out Bam's skin
The thorn Bam possess would never allow him to have such scars, and that's how Khun knows exactly that those scars aren't new.
They're from years ago—from those dark times in FUG.
Whether it was desparation, hunger for power, or just pure self-sacrifice, it was those things that made him have those scars.
Selfish selflessness, along with greed not for himself, but for others.
The Night who is so willing to give himself up for his own selflessly selfish desire to protect others.
Perhaps they were right to call him a God afterall—
No, that's not right. He's not a God.
He's human.
A human.
Just human like the rest.
And that's what makes the Light fall for him.
Drawn to him, lighting up the Night like it's just reflex.
For the Light, falling for the Night is a need.
For the Light, lighting the Night is instinct.
For the Light, loving the Night is easier than breathing.
Bam jumps a bit when he feels a pair of arms circling his waist from behind.
"K-Khun, what are you doing...?" Bam asks, voice stuttering slightly from embarassement—which is not right. He shouldn't be embarassed for being loved—especially by him.
"Nothing." Khun answers, placing his chin on Bam's shoulder, inhaling the Night's scent.
"Khun, I-I need to change."
Every breath tickles his neck, leaving goosebumps.
"Please, just let me be like this for a while, love." The Light answers, not moving an inch.
"What's wrong with you today? You're clingy," Bam says jokingly, a tiny laugh escapes him, "Did you hit your head or something?"
The Light hums softly. Then, one of his hand moves from Bam's waist to softly cup his jaw and cheek, turning it sideways a bit to face him.
Golden eyes of the Night widens at the action, a total contrast to the sharp yet soft glint in the Light's deep-blue ones.
"If I'm messed up, it's not because I hit my head."
"The thing messing me up, and driving me mad..."
"...is you, Twenty-Fifth Bam."
"Have some self-awareness."
That's all he said, before landing his lips onto Bam's.
It's not the first time, yet it still feels like it—and probably will always.
The Light holds the Night like a desert finally catching rain. Like a cold land of snow finally catching the sun's warmth, revealing seeds of spring.
The Night has been set on fire simply by the Light's lips, softly moving against his.
A hand makes its way through his hair, carding each strand on his fingers, and the other around his waist, pulling him impossibly closer.
The cold Night has been illuminated by the Light once again. From every touch of skin, to every breath they share lights him up. Even now, it seems that it's getting too bright, because the Night has obviously been blinded by him. Yet does he seem to care?
It lasted only for a couple of seconds, yet they both know the trace will last for years.
Deep blue gazes into gold, drunk yet sober, clouded yet clear. Pupils blown wide, leaving only a thin ring of deep blues and golds with blackholes inside. The Light gazes into the Night like he's the only one existing in the world, the way an abandonned kid does when finding his home.
You know how people say you can 'get lost in someone's eyes'?. The Night is doubting those words at this moment.
The eyes before him are clear—too clear for him to get lost in them. Instead of making him lost, those eyes pulls the Night towards him—towards the Light, showing him a clear path in the middle of darkness, guiding him, leading him towards his heart.
As for the Light, he is only glad to be able to do so.
His fingers skims down the Night's body, running them over each scars. He feels every shiver the Night feels.
Unknown since when, Bam is facing him completely. Golden eyes staring right into the deep blue ones, slightly clouded. One of Khun's hand moves to cup his cheek, his thumb rubbing small circles, the other still running down the Night's body. His fingertips lightly stroking the Night's skin, making sure to brush over as many of his scars as possible—another one of the Light's many ways to light up the Night. His entire mind is focused on making every inch of the Night's body feeling the warmth of his light—of his love.
Those scars in his body are like scratches on a piece of once a clean paper. White, unblemished without a single crease. Yet now, it has been tainted. That body has dived in blood the way paper dips in ink, and has been scratched the way paper creases.
The Night was willing to do all those things to protect those he care for.
Including the Light himself.
The world will not end if the Light doesn't love him, but the Light's own world will.
The Light has not seen everything behind those scars, but he's seen enough.
And may damn be upon the Light if he fails to love the Night.
He may not be able to rewind time and prevent that paper from ever being ruined. He may not be able to snap his fingers to make those scars dissapear. He can not erase and rewrite the paper, but what he can do is overwrite.
He can write above the previous splotches of ink. He can create beautiful and magnificent caligraphy to cover what has already been there—and that's exactly what he's been trying to do up to this moment.
The Light's world has ended once, and he will give his breath away to prevent it from happening again.
"...Khun," Bam breathes out, his voice a bit shaky and a tiny blush is visible on his cheeks, yet a sort of playful smile is painted on his lips, “were you looking at my scars again?”
“I’m sorry, Bam. It was hard not to.” He places his head on Bam’s shoulder, once again inhaling his scent.
“No, no, it’s fine. I told you I don’t mind,” Bam replies, his hand rubbing circles on Khun’s back, “it feels sort of awkward though. I mean, you had to see those.” a tiny laughter escapes him.
“Why would you feel awkward?”
“Huh?”
“I’m asking, love. Why would you feel awkward?” He lifts up his head, now back to staring into the Night’s golden eyes.
“W-well… I mean they’re hideous and… you know how I thought you might freak out when you saw them the first time,” Bam’s eyes awkwardly glances away, “I-I’m glad you’re not though!”
“Love, for your information, I’m absolutely far from ‘freaked out’ or thinking they’re ‘hideous’.” Khun reaches out to grasp Bam’s hand, slowly bringing it towards his lips. He closes his eyes, placing delicate kisses all over Bam’s knuckles (Khun always wonders how the hands that can and probably will tear this whole Tower down be so smooth and delicate), “Bam, you want to know what I truly think about those scars?”
Bam opens his mouth for a second to reply, before closing them again when he realizes it’s a rethorical question.
“You’re beautiful, my love,” Khun begins, “you may think those scars look ‘hideous’. I don’t think so.”
“My love, you’ve been out of my arms for seven years. And when you return, those scars are all over you,” his kisses trails into the back of the Night’s hand, “signs and notes of your fights,” his forearm, “your sacrifices,” his shoulder blades, “they’re signs of what you've been through and what you've given up just to protect us all," his neck, "to protect me."
"Underneath all the clothes you wear, love, there's an endless story."
"And there's also the man I chose."
Finally, the Light captures the Night's lips again, his hand resting on his nape.
Bam opens his mouth, and is immediately welcomed by Khun slipping his tongue inside. He vaguely hears himself letting out some soft noises. But let alone hearing, he can't even get his brain to focus enough to process anything, not when Khun moves his tongue against his, silently inviting to dance along with him.
Time stops. The Night is once again blinded by the Light. He has lost his senses, yet he doesn't feel like it. Afterall, it’s the Light that he’s lost in. He's lost in him, surrounded by him. Or maybe the Night's just isn't afraid of getting lost, knowing the Light will always guide him. Even now, he's completely given himself up. All five of his senses have been taken over, dominated by the man in his arms. He can't see, hear, or feel anything except the Light, shining so bright that he's blinded by him, drunk on him.
The last thing he can register is the feel of soft matress of the bed against his back.
The Light takes control of his body so easily, as if it belongs to him from the start.
They part after what feels like countless hours, desparately catching their breaths.
Once they have, the Light is back to trailing kisses down the Night's jawline.
"I love you, Bam," he whispers, only to be heard by the Night, "I love you, and I will always until the stars doesn't shine..."
He finds Bam's hand again, interlacing their fingers and placing them just a bit above his head.
"...until Heaven bursts..."
His other hand sneaks downwards, firmly grasping his thigh.
"...until words doesn't rhyme."
Another short kiss lands on the Night’s lips.
“And even when they do happen, I will love you still.”
Bam stares at the Light above him, breathings labored and eyes clouded with desire.
"I'll stay right beside you, my Night," the Light whispers to him again, "I'll follow you anywhere you go."
A kiss on his cheek.
"If your wings are broken, then borrow mine so yours can open too."
His forehead.
"Even if we can't find Heaven, I'll walk through Hell with you."
The Light seals his lips with the Night's once again.
One kiss, then two, then three, then it keeps going.
"Say my name, baby."
The Light says between kisses.
Due to his short-circuited brain, it took a while for Bam to focus and realize what Khun was saying.
He takes a few deep breaths to reorganize his thoughts, before saying:
"...Aguero."
The Light is back into trailing kisses around his neck, collar bones, and shoulder blades. A gasp escapes him when the man above him moves to his sensitive spot.
"A-Aguero, please..."
The smile painted on the Light's lips is the most beautiful smile the Night has ever seen.
Their lips seals again in another passionate kiss—
That night, the Light and the Night are bare, with nothing in between them, exploring each other thoroughly as if it's the first. The Light leaving not a single bit of the Night's body untouched, worshiping every inch of him, treating him like a jewel, yet more precious than any jewel ever.
Every blotch of ink he overwrites, every crease he smoothens.
The Night has once again been claimed by the Light.
