The first person to find out about Taegi week was Jin (HE REALLY THOUGHT). He was scrolling through twitter after posting his picture when he saw the hastag. Taegi week. Now everyone knew there were shippers in the fandom, everyone knew about fan fiction and fan arts with the said ship, everyone even knew the 18+ community. And frankly, they didn’t care too much about it until and unless nobody was hurt.
But taegiweek. Now that intrigued jin. A week? Dedicated Taehyung and Yoongi? Dedicated to the two most amazing people in the universe? Dedicated to his fishing buddy and his flirting buddy? Count Jin in.
Extremely cautious but also extremely curious, Jin clicked on the hastag and started scrolling. An abundance of fanarts, fanfiction and …. whats a MB? Or an AU?
So forgoing google/naver search, he went to his own personal dictionary. Namjoon. Namjoon was sitting in the couch going through his phone, sipping some coffee.
“Joon-ah, what’s an au?”
And poor joon spit out his coffee, eyes wide and borderline choking
“What?” A wheeze at most.
“An AU. What does that mean?” Jin asked again kinda concerned but also kinda really used to it.
“An Au is… an alternative universe… You know. Like where things happen that don’t usually happen or happen in real life.” Joon concluded, finally getting his composure back.
And oh! Jin understood that. Some thing like Werewolf and Vampires. Those fan-fictions were fun to read. “Joon-ah, one more thing. Whats an MB?”
“Megabyte.”
“Megabyte? That doesnt sound right…” Thats computer terms… why would there be computer term in a week dedicated to two people who don’t really know how to use computer except for producing and playing games. One of them doesnt even play any game.
“Money boy?”
Now that sounds right. They are rich…
“Whats a money boy?”
“Um… An Austrian rap-singer?” Joon says more of a question then anything.
Whats that got to do with anything? It wasn’t even related to gucci or rolex.
“i don’t think that right either” Jin concludes.
“Well if you’re texting, it means my bad.”
“No…”
“Hyung… in what context are you even asking me?” Namjoon finally asks, giving up on an answer that would satisfy Jin. And for a moment Jin hesitates. But then again, whats there to hesitate? Hoseok, seemingly the most innocent one reads fan fictions like its his oxygen and food so he decides to just come clean with it.
“So there’s this Taegi week.” and Namjoon’s eyes sparkle. Like the actual meaning of stars in the eyes sparkle, the classic way too many sparkle in anime eyes, sparkle.
Jin knows he has no explanation to do. “So you know huh..”
“I didn’t know /you/ knew about it hyung. I have been dying to talk to someone about this. I was actually just reading an AU and you came in talking about Au and then yeah… Anyways, what were you asking about them?”
Namjoon rarely talks this much in one breath, he must have really been holding it in.
“So… whats an MB?”
“Its a mood board.” An answer. NOT from Namjoon but rather Hoseok. “and Joon-ah, you could have come to me if you wanted to talk about Taegi week you know, I have been half dying holding everything in.” Hoseok says wiping fake tears while entering the room.
“i didn’t know if you liked that ship.” Namjoon complains and Hoseok deadpans “I don’t get sleep if I don’t read Taegi. What do you mean?”
Jin is enjoying this but also he really needs to knows what a mood board means. “So… what does a mood board mean?”
“The thing that Jimin had been trying to make for over two hours.” Jungkook, their maknae.
“Well at least I don’t stay up all night writing.” Jimin, the eldest of the maknae line.
And then the bickering continues over something that goes along the line of “sleep is for the weak.” and “time is a social construct.” Jin doesn't pay much attention. He is searching what mood board means.
So, its a noun, of course.

And oh… it fits.
Also he can totally see why Jimin was absorbed in it for more than two hours. The examples are immersive but These very aesthetically pleasing pictures take time, patience and a good grasp of vision to create. Jin is impressed.
And it seems Namjoon is too because he is separating the two people bickering with a smile and question in the tip of his tongue. “You create mood boards? And you write fiction?”
And silence.
“NO!”
“Ahh.. That’s sad.” Hoseok says with his lips turned down. Jin knows he is faking it. Everyone knows he is faking it.
“You would like if I created mood board?” Apparently not Jimin.
“Of course. They are one the major ways I find fanfictions. To me, its very important. And its a way to convey a message in one picture while making it so pleasing on the eyes. They tell a story but the revealing of that story is left up to the creator, you know.” Hoseok says , a small smile.
And while Jin has never thought about it that way, it makes sense. A group of picture kept together to tell a story. A group of picture that would otherwise never be seen in the same page, searched and edited to tell a story while also making it beautiful.
“I also make edits you know..” Jimin quietly confesses and Hoseok is smiling as bright as the sun. Someone give Jin his shades.
“They are really good too.” Jungkook says, the bickering way past them.
“What about you kook? You write fictions?” Namjoon says in a soft voice. And if Jin was not in the sidelines, he totally wouldn't see the glint in joon’s eyes. Just like Jungkook doesn't “Sometimes.”
“what kind of fiction?” Its Namjoon again.
Jin realizes that he is living with people who are wolf in sheep’s clothing. Namjoon and Hoseok totally know they look up to them and they also totally know they would do anything for their approval. Jin, with a heavy heart (not really, he does the same with Yoongi) approves of this method in this context.
“.…Fanfictions.” a whisper.
“Please show me!” Its Hoseok. Its totally Hoseok. There’s no one other than Hoseok.
“I don’t know…” Jungkook whines. And Jimin intervenes “Its really good. I am pretty sure You have read it Hobi hyung. Namjoon hyung, its the one that you read yesterday.” and ends with a wink.
“How do you even know Hyung?” Jungkook whines, again.
“Cause I saw him reading it. He was really into it too.” Jimin says with a laugh and Namjoon, who wold usually be bright red by now, for some reason is really really excited.
“Wait! You wrote that? You’re stanning_taegi_ever_since_I_was_lump_of_cells?”
Jin is having a little problem keeping up but also, AMAZING NAME, 10/10, WOULD TOTALLY STEAL IT. He is gonna bribe Jungkook later to let him use that.
Jungkook replies in confirmation and now Hoseok and Namjoon look like they have seen God. Jimin is looking smug and Jin is just a little confused.
“Anyway, Jin Hyung have /you/ started any AU?” Jimin finally says turning his attention towards Jin. And jin shakes his head. He’s just been going through the hastag. He hasn’t actually read anything.
“Hyung, you're missing out! Taegi is literally the cutest ship ever. And each and every artist, Writer and content creator is so so good!” Hoseok says, a heart smile, plastered in his face.
“Wait… I just realized something.” Jungkook says looking like he had an epiphany. He did have an epiphany. Stream epiphany. “We all like Taegi. And not to be rude, but like half the things they write, already happen in real life. Its canon af. They just aren't boyfriends… yet.”
“Are you suggesting what I am thinking?” Jimin says wiggling his eyebrows.
And Jungkook wiggles his eyebrows back which when did they gain that skill? Also Jin has absolutely no idea whats going on.
“So..” He finally interrupts. He doesn't like to be out of loop. “What are you actually talking about?”
“First we need you to read some works and then I will explain.” Hoseok says, pulling Jin inside Hobi’s room. “I will even give you some recommendation.”

“Hobi, that's 28K words… If I wanted to read a book, I would have read a book.”
“Trust me, Its way better than a book.”
No way in hell is Jin reading THAT.

Jin read that. All of it.
Jin read two of that. But its okay, the second one was just 15K . He didn’t get any sleep though. But that's okay too cause at least Idol taehyung had his happily ever after with his soulmate Yoongi.
He gets up from his bed at around noon and the first thing he sees in the living room is taehyung and Yoongi huddled together, sharing a blanket and a milkshake.
And oh my god! Didn’t this happen in the second AU?
Yoongi slowly takes the glass from taehyung’s hand puts the straw in his mouth, the same straw that had been in Taehyung’s mouth. INDIRECT KISS! Jin is feeling all the butterflies he felt while reading the au.
NO! This is better. He is living the AU.
He suppresses the squeal down his throats and continues his way to the washroom, trying his best not to stare at his two band mates who are apparently really close.
The next time Jin notices anything with taegi is when he has finished some 15 AUs or was it 50? Anyways three days later. They are holding hands, whispering something to each other, in their own world.
And this happened in… every single AU. This is CANON.
And suddenly he understands Jungkook. Euphoria.
He is going to make Taegi canon.

“So we make Taegi canon and live the AU as side characters ?”
A meeting was being held in Jimin’s room. The meeting that was being lead by Jungkook cause “I am literally the person who writes and the person who had this realization.”
“How do we even make them canon?” Namjoon whispered.
“That’s what you’re here for! You’re the brain here. Think joon, think !” Hoseok whispered-shout.
“Yeah hyung! Come on! Use your 148 IQ” Jimin whispered.
“Really agree with both of them but why are we whispering?” Jin, ironically whispered.
Everyone let out the breath they were holding for some unknown reason and started talking again.
“So what is our game plan exactly?” Jungkook asks, a note in his hand.
Crickets.
“We don’t have one huh…” Hoseok says, his lip turned down. For real this time.
“i will think about it, you will think about it. Everyone think about it and we will meet again, three days , same time, same place. We are going to make sure we live every AU by the time Taegiweek comes on 2021.” Jin says, fire and determination in his eyes.
Everyone agrees.
Only if they had been out on the hallways rather than being cooped up on jimin’s room..

“They all are acting weird.”
“So you noticed too huh..”
“At the beginning, it was just Seokie and Kook but the something happened and Minie joined them. Starting this week Joonie and then Jin Hyung all started weird…They look at me weird. ” Yoongi pouts, tangled up all in Taehyung arms.
“Don’t worry about them. I am sure its nothing. Tell me about what you have been doing .” Taehyung says, a small peck to Yoongi’s forehead.
“Nothing really… stanning_taegi_ever_since_I_was_lump_of_cells updated a new AU though. Its really good. And they have Taegi week going on so… you know…”
“Mhm… I haven't read it yet.”
“You should take some pointers when you read it. That Taehyung really gives a lot of attention to Yoonie, I almost got jealous of my Au self.” Yoongi says, a small giggle adorning his lips.
And taehyung was so in love. “Hmmm.. we cant have that now can we baby?”
“Then give your baby some attention here.” Yoongi whines.
“Out of everything they write, they really get that You’re hungry for my attention part on point.” Taehyung laughs.
“As if you’re the one to talk. Stop being so obvious when we are out. You almost gave us out..”
“Hmmm… You don’t want to come out to people?” Taehyung asks, pulling Yoongi close.
“I do. But before that I want to live all the AUs of secret relationship and then do the idols very much in love arc.” Yoongi teases.
“You really like driving m crazy, don’t you?” Taehyung asks a little breathless. And Yoongi finally connects their mouth together on mutual agreement, they both drive each other crazy.
A small peck and then a small kiss. The small kiss leading to long, deep ones with breathy moans and alot of “Taehyungie” and “baby.”
At 3 in the afternoon, Yoongi and Taehyung were a tangled mess at Taehyung’s room. The said room filled with sounds that are too sweet and too intimate for anyone to hear.
It was a good thing that Taehyung’s room was soundproof.
No one was gonna know about them until they decided they had enough of this Arc in their life, way better than an AU.
