It was still morning. So Han Sooyoung tried to make no voice as possible. When She opened the room, there was Kim Dokja who read a novel with his black eyes.
"You crazy rat ! You must be don't sleep right !! Stop reading and pay attention more to your body !" Han Sooyoung then took the novel from Kim Dokja. She didn't care about his whining.
"Sooyoung-ah, I couldn't sleep last night. All of you didn't give me my smartphone too. The only things I can do were rereading your novel," said Kim Dokja easily. His answer only made Han Sooyoung wants to smack his head. "It's rare for you to come so early, where is everyone ?" asked Kim Dokja to Han Sooyoung.
Han Sooyoung watched the fragile man that tried to rub his tired eyes. "Don't rub your eyes and don't call me like that, it's so disgusting. Well, Lee Gilyoung and Shin Yoosung are going to school, Yoo Sangah must be playing against those politicians with Anna Croft. Well, maybe others haven't awakened yet ?" answered Han Sooyoung while she was placing the fruits.
"Heh, everyone must be very busy. How about you and that sunfish bastard ?" asked Kim Dokja. Han Sooyoung then snorted.
"How should I know what Yoo Joonghyuk do? Just ask him when you meet him. What do you want to eat, I will let you get a chance to eat things that I peel. " asked Han Sooyoung without answering the second question.
"Maybe apple. But you don't answer the question..." said Kim Dokja. He watched her tried to peel the apple. "You are bad at doing this," teased him.
"Shut your mouth or I will peel tomatoes for you. " Kim Dokja pouted when he heard that respond. Because Han Sooyoung refused to answer him, he decided to look across the window.
It had been a month since he awake. Starstream had already destroyed without him. Seoul has already become normal. There are almost no traces of the scenarios. All of them said there were 20 years since the scenarios finished.
There were almost 20 years and they can choose to be happy, yet they decided to find half of his soul again. What a waste... If they had chosen to spend life along 49% of him, they would have got their complete happily ending ever. Maybe everyone will have several children and...
"Kim Dokja, what do you think about the novel ?" The question from Han Sooyoung made his imagination broke.
"The novel ?" asked him again. She only gave him a soft hummed. "It's great... I enjoy your novel. Well, no one can exceed the first writer right, Han Sooyoung ?" Kim Dokja gave her a wink that made Han Sooyoung threw him the peel.
"Good for you to notice how good my writing." There was a silent moment before Han Sooyoung decided to ask, "Are you angry ?"
Kim Dokja only raised his eyebrow when he heard that. What a rare thing for Han Sooyoung to ask that. "Angry, for what ?"
"You said you hated for your story to be published. So are you angry for this novel ?" Han Sooyoung stopped to peel the apple.
"Well, If I said I was angry, This story is the only thing for you to save me right. Good things that the one who read the story are from other timelines. So, it's okay I think ?" Kim Dokja gave a small yawn while answering her.
".. do you regret reading Ways of Survivals ?" One question that made everyone silent.
For Han Sooyoung, If only her clone didn't write it, they wouldn't have gone through of this. Maybe everyone can do their activity in a normal way. Maybe they can meet through fate differently, but not the dangerous one. Maybe they can achieve a better ending.
"If I hadn't read WoS, maybe I would have died." All of the other possibilities were stopping in her mind. "What a selfish thought right ? All of this happens because of me, yet I'm grateful to still alive because of WoS." Kim Dokja only gave answered in a flat tone.
Wrong, If she doesn't write it, there won't be all of the shit scenarios happen, maybe she can write and get a lot of money like normal, maybe everyone will happy. "Then I'm happy there are WoS," said Han Sooyoung.
But without WoS, Kim Dokja won't be here. There won't be the best reader which she can find. Like always, she is selfish. It doesn't matter If the scenarios happen, so Kim Dokja will be alive.
"If I didn't read WoS, maybe Yoo Joonghyuk won't regress so many times. He only needs to achieve his happily ever ending with others and have children. Yet, I kept dreaming about his other life, forced him to forget his happy ending." Han Sooyoung began to hate this conversation.
"Without you as his sole reader, maybe Yoo Joonghyuk won't exist. Without you, maybe I can find someone to be called my sole reader. Without you, maybe we won't survive from scenarios If those dokkaebis decide to mess with Seoul. " Her knife chopped the apple with loud voices.
"You are matter to us, can you at least think that you deserve to have a happy ending ? If you can think about your happy ending, let us write a happy ending together." Han Sooyoung gave a deep breath, "you know, your happy ending version so sucks. You need to learn how to write a better version. You can learn from me. You won't have to pay, unlike other people."
Only after she finished speaking, She found Kim Dokja has already fallen asleep. "This dumb selfless rat, "cursed her. She decided to eat all of the apples. Meanwhile, she munched the apples, her brain was spinning.
They took Kim Dokja, so there won't be [The Most Ancient Dream]. Without someone to dream about their world, all of this will cease from existence. Yet, they are still here.
It there were a lot of branches, is it possible for them in other branches to...
"Sooyoung-ssi ? You are still here ?" Han Sooyoung nearly choked when she heard a voice from behind her. She found Lee Seolhwa who want to check Kim Dokja's body.
"Ah yes, Lee Seolhwa. I'm going to teach right now. Oh, Kim Dokja just sleeps, so wake him later. And I think you should tell the nurses not to leave a book during night time. He stayed up late last night. " Han Sooyoung then stretched her body.
"Thank you for the information, Sooyoung-ssi. I will remind it." Before leaving, Han Sooyoung decided to ask something to Lee Seolhwa.
"What do you think If there is a better future for you in another timeline, but because disturbance you don't get it? Do you regret it ?" Han Sooyoung didn't face Lee Seolhwa when she asked about it.
"I think this is good enough ? After all, we can be greedy right ?" answered Lee Seolhwa. Han Sooyoung didn't respond to her. She just waves her hand.
In another timeline, Lee Seolhwa married with Yoo Joonghyuk and had children. Because of them, she won't get it.
Did Han Sooyoung care ? No, she didn't. After all, she was the one who created her. If Lee Seolhwa doesn't get a happy ending with Yoo Joonghyuk, at least she is still alive.
For now, the heroine didn't need to have a protagonist. The protagonist needs to care reader first. And It was her job to write a better future for all of them.
