Avantasia Protag AU: Table of Contents
- Thrown Against Something
Enty and Scarecrow fear Aaron’s wrath when they break the house in their recklessness, and Enty lets his emotions get the better of him and Scarecrow is caught in the crossfire.

Scarecrow has a relapse moment and has too much to drink, taking his frustrations out on Aaron who tries to help him calm down.

Gabriel seeks some solitude while the others have a game night, and he ponders his past and misses his sister.

The child Gabriel gets curious and accidentally uses one of Aaron’s dimensional devices on himself, much to the horror of the others. But, he’s looked after where he ends up.

After “Change Pt. 1+2” (Funshots), the child Gabriel escapes the house under Elderane’s watch, and the unthinkable happens.

Set two years after “Human Shield”, Gabriel’s traumas have gone unaddressed and have been building up painfully. The guys finally take notice and get him the help he needs.

Set a few months after “Human Shield – Alternate Ending”, the group copes with the loss of their friend, though they don’t realize he’s not as far gone as they thought.

Gabriel is feeling homesick, but the others aren’t catching on and keep making things worse. Tensions keep rising until Gabriel decides he’s had enough.

As Scarecrow’s mental health keeps deteriorating more and more, old bloody habits return to him as he keeps falling farther down into the darkness of his own mind.

While traveling together, Gabriel and Scarecrow come across someone who looks...just like them. After talking, they find out he's in the same boat they are, lost between dimensions, though he begins to feel at home with these two odd doubles who found him.

An old acquaintance of Aaron's returns to give him another warning, as Aaron keeps meddling with things out of his control. Chaos ensues when the others have a say in the matter.

Aaron tries his best to work fast on the device, Elderane entertains Scarecrow, Enty is worried about Gabriel, and Acedia begins to get really annoyed with the long-haired double.

Set in the past, little Elderane is scared by a thunderstorm. Anwel comes in to ease his fears and tell him a story about Avantasia’s history.

Scarecrow takes a stupid risk while walking on frozen ice, and Aaron tries his best to get them both to safety.

An argument between the guys distracts Aaron while driving on an icy road. After enduring the crash, Enty awakens, believing all his friends dead.

Set only a few months after the events of “The Metal Opera”, both Anna and Gabriel endure nightmares about their adventure. During a bad thunderstorm, Anna goes to comfort a panicking Gabriel.

While looking for something, Aaron and Scarecrow get locked in a small backroom in the basement, and Aaron learns something new about Scarecrow and his old fears.

Early on in the timeline, Scarecrow realizes he never explained what the 4th of July was to Gabriel, and has to calm him down when the man out of time believes fireworks are hellfire falling from the sky.

After Gabriel goes missing after the events of the album, Elderane does his best to keep up the hope that his best friend will return home. But...as months go by...hope begins to dwindle...

Mephistopheles brings to clear light one of Scarecrow’s darker fears.

The protags go shopping at the grocery store. It does not end well.

Scarecrow buys something to mess with his friends. Aaron is tired, Enty is afraid, and Gabriel panics.

Aaron is tired as he’s gone several days without sleep, but when he finally crashes and falls asleep, he finds himself…not somewhere normal. But Gabriel is there to help him out and show him around.
- Elevator
The protags get stuck in an elevator. Scarecrow panics, Aaron tries to fix it, Enty has fun, and Gabriel thinks they are going to die.

Aaron works on a time-altering device but his friends get caught in the wake. Aaron now has three small problems to deal with.

After the events of “Time”, Aaron insists he should set things right himself instead of Elderane. He ends up getting caught in the crossfire and is now like how his friends were before, leaving Elderane to fix things.

During the time they traveled alone together, Scarecrow and Gabriel get caught in a thunderstorm and have to sleep at a bus stop. Things are ok, though, because they have each other.

Gabriel ponders past events, and wonders if there really is a storm on the horizon...
