Chapter Text

Jeongguk woke up to the sound of hustle and bustle coming from the kitchen. He yawned and blinked slowly, letting his eyes adjust to the early morning glow. He wanted nothing more than to flop right back down into his bed until he remembered what day it was.

The moon festival.

Every year, on the last night of winter, the moon fates appeared at midnight to bless the village and it's inhabitants. It was the only night of the whole year that the moon would glow with the magic of the spirits, granting manifestations and wishes to all those who prayed to them.

It was Jeongguk's first festival since he'd presented as an alpha and now he was 18, finally a true member of the pack, with strength to contribute to the festivities.

That wasn't why he was excited though. As much as he loved the festival, something else always shone brighter than the moon that night. Jeongguk let out a wistful sigh at the mere thought of his flower adorned hair, his laugh than rang out so truly in the night, his eyes that sparkled more than any twinkling star hanging in the sky.

Park Jimin.

The omega that lived across the stream, just past the town square. He was older than Jeongguk by a year, maybe two. They were in school together but Jimin never paid him any attention, mostly due to the fact that Jeongguk had been in the lower classes. He was small, tinier than most omega's even, but his beauty had only flourished with age. The pinkest lips that pursed ever so slightly, the curves running up and down his silhouette that he couldn't hide with even the baggiest of shirts.

He was kind too, always helping with the pups or volunteering with the healers. The first time he caught Jeongguk's eye was at the moon festival of the alpha's 15th winter, when Jimin was telling all the little pups legends about the fates. He did it every year and every year, Jeongguk fell a little harder.

Despite his incomparable grace, Jimin was almost 20 and unmated. He had rejected every alpha that had made him an offer with a pitiful smile and no one understood why. It was rare to find omega's in their 20's without mates, it went against their biology. Jeongguk had been too shy to ever make an offer before, a scrawny underage pup who hadn't even presented yet. Over the past few months however, he became a tall alpha, 160 pounds of pure muscle. It was now or never.

"Jeongguk-ah!" was all he heard before a little body barreled into him, breaking his thought train. His little sister hugged him tightly, her arms barely reaching his shoulders.

He smiled and returned her affections. "Morning Jieun, how did my little princess sleep?"

He earned a giggle in response. "I didn't need bun-bun!" she replied, referencing her stuffed bunny that she had been clinging to for years. Their mother had insisted she stop sleeping with it since she would finally be starting school in the coming spring.

"Good job!" He high fived her. "Is everyone here already?"

The Jeon family's tradition was to prepare for the moon festival together; helping the pack leaders (Seokjin, Namjoon and their son, Hoseok) with the bonfire wood or collecting whatever last minute vegetables were needed for the food.

Until this year, Jeongguk's job had been to keep the pups occupied while his brother and his alpha elped the adults. After newly-presenting, it was decided that he would help deliver firewood to the kitchen for the omega's who worked hard all day to feed the pack. He was upset at first. Jeongguk wanted to prove himself as an alpha by going with his father and sister-in-law. He soon realised that arguing was getting him nowhere and accepted his role.

He had spent the rest of the day complaining about his job to his cousin, Yoongi. His parents, Mrs. Jeon's sister and her omega, has passed away when Yoongi was only a pup. They grew up closer than brothers, despite a slight age gap. Being the only person who was aware of Jeongguk's eternal crush, he told him something that hadn't even occurred in Jeongguk's mind.

"You know Jimin and his mother work in the kitchens right?"

Jeongguk wasn't as dejected about his moon festival job after that.

Jieun nodded. "Dad says Yoongi's bringing his omega here today. Do you think he'll be nice?"

"I'm sure he will be." Jeongguk stroked her hair. "Come on, let's get going before Grandma throws her shoe at me."

The little girl slipped off his lap and toddled back into the hall. Jeongguk stood up and took a deep breath. His eyes nervously darted to the box on his bedside table, engraved with the Jeon family crest.

"Now or never."

After escaping a severe scolding from his mother, Jeongguk's alpha sister-in-law, Jiyoo, snuck him some breakfast and waved him off, standing on the porch while the eldest Jeon sibling, Dowoon, fed their pup.

He set on his way down the gravel road, greeting his neighbours and chatting with everyone he walked past. Coming from such a small village meant knowing everyone. Jeongguk grew up sneaking treats from Mr. Choi's bakery and working weekends doing deliveries for the seamstress couple, the Kang's. The pack was like one big family and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Juice from the apple dripped down his wrist as he munched. He tossed the core into the compost bin off the path and looked around for a well to wash his hands with. Unable to spot one, he decided to walk a bit further until he reached the stream.

Jeongguk kneeled down and cupped water, washing his hands until he was satisfied that all the stickiness had been cleaned off. He was about to get up and go to the pack kitchen when he heard a laugh.

His head shot up only to see two figures walking through the trees across the water. One, he identified as Kim Taehyung, an omega upperclassman. Next to him was someone Jeongguk would have recognised even in the dark. Jimin threw his head back as his giggles echoed over the grass. He was beaming at the joke his best friend had just made, skipping happily alongside his friend.

Jeongguk was determined to not be seen, so he crawled behind the reeds on the water bank. Once he was sure, they wouldn't see him, he stood up and made his way back to the path, stopping for just a moment to let himself take one last glance at the gleeful omega.

His heart felt so full he thought it would burst. In that moment, he was so sure. Jeongguk had never been this sure about anything. His alpha recognised Jimin's omega as their mate and in just a few hours, they would be together.

Jeongguk's afternoon was spent running between the kitchens, the dining area and the communal vegetable garden. The omega's in the kitchen sung and danced around each other as they prepared for the festival and the atmosphere of the pack was bustling. They snuck him little treats everytime he'd come back with yet another basket of potatoes and showed him how to slice the produce.

Jimin's mother was there too, seated in the corner of the room. She was quieter than the others but even Mrs. Park smiled softly at the room's ambience. She didn't sing, rather hummed along as she deftly diced herbs.

Jeongguk glanced at her more than he was willing to admit. She was older but even through the wrinkles and grey hair, he could tell she had been the pack's beauty in her day.

"Just like Jimin," he thought. Jeongguk told himself that if he could see Jimin at that age, see how his beauty would only thrive against the cruelty of time and still hear those giggles break out at the slightest joy, he would die the happiest alpha who ever lived.

He didn't even realise how much time had passed until the setting rays of the sun gleamed through the window and the smell of almost-ready stew wafted past his nose. His stomach let out a grumble and Mr. So, the kitchen's head omega, laughed heartily.

"You go home now son, and get yourself done. Everything's almost ready here."

Jeongguk smiled gratefully and greeted the rest of the working staff. After a moment of hesitance, he waved at Mrs. Park and to his surprise, recieved a small nod in response. He beamed. Surely that was a sign for the rest of the night to come.

Jeongguk's mother fussed around him, grumbling as she pinned along his trousers. "How have you grown out of these so soon? I just bought them for you when winter started and I'm already hemming them."

"He's a growing alpha," Mr. Jeon chucked. He was sitting on one of their couches, baby Sooyoung nestled between his arms. She sucked on her milk bottle softly. "He'll probably keep growing for at least another year."

"Easy for you to say," she replied. "You aren't the one mending trousers every other month because they hand above his ankles."

Jeongguk and his father shared a knowing look. Mrs. Jeon always got stressed around the festival, even more this year because Jeongguk had become of age and Jieun was starting 'big girl school', as she liked to call it.

As she stood up from fixing his robes, Jeongguk wrapped his mother in a hug, towering over her by at least a foot. He let his chin rest on the crown of her hair and she sighed into his chest. "Happy moon festival." He mumbled. "Thank you for hemming my clothes."

He felt her smile against his chest as her arms stretched around him. "You not growing would be thanks enough."

Jieun stood up from watching Sooyoung feed and sandwiched herself in between her brother and mother. "Happy moon festival Mama, Jeonggukie."

They welcomed her into the embrace, snuggling together.

Mrs. Jeon pulled back after a moment. "Enough, I'm not going to let anyone's robes get creased! We need to be ready soon, isn't Yoongi bringing his omega here before we leave for the square?"

Jeongguk nodded. "Yoongi really hasn't told you who it is?"

"Trust me, I've been trying to get it out of him for weeks. He won't utter a word and he always makes sure their scent isn't on him when we hang out too." He replied.

She shook her head as she braided flowers into Jieun's hair. "That boy is going to give me a heart attack one day, I swear to the fates."

"Calm down sweetheart, he's a grown alpha. I'm sure he just wanted to be sure of this omega before introducing them to the family."

She furiously braided, ignoring Jieun's yelps. "I just hope it's a proper omega, well-mannered and sweet. He needs someone like that. I raised him better than to bring some.. rude and bossy person home."

Mr. Jeon stood up, rocking Sooyoung gently before handing her to his mate. Pups had always been calming to Mrs. Jeon and Sooyoung was no different. She cradled the baby and swayed gently. "He just deserves someone really good for him." She admitted in a mumble.

"I know." He pressed a kiss to her cheek and held her from behind, hummimg in rhythm with her movement.

Jeongguk watched his parents. Almost 25 years of marriage and their spark never faded. Before his thoughts could once again drift, a knock sounded from the front door. Jieun ran to open it.

"Yoongi!" she exclaimed gleefully. He pulled her into a hug, laughter surrounding them. After a quick exchange with the little girl, he stood up and walked inside, pulling his omega in with clasped hands.

Mrs. Jeon smiled. Jeongguk would never have guessed the state of panic she'd been in only moments before had he not witnessed it himself.

"Guys, this is my omega. Kim Taehyung."

The well-dressed omega Jeongguk had seen earlier stepped into view. Dressed in robes that matched with Yoongi's black and gold ones, he bowed.

Jeongguk's made the first move. He stepped forward and shook Taehyung's hand to break the ice. "Happy moon festival, Taehyung-shi. Are you well?"

Taehyung smiled softly, appreciative of the older man's calming nature. "I am, thank fates. And you and your family?"

"I can't complain. Here Taehyung, this is my mate, Minji. The pup is Sooyoung, our granddaughter." Mrs. Jeon cupped Taehyung's face with her spare hand.

"You have a blessed face dearest, very pretty." She said. "Lovely to meet you on such a gracious occasion. I am happy you will be spending it with us. You're sure your parents don't mind?"

A blush flooded Taehyung's cheeks. "Thank you. They really don't mind, as long as I am not at all burdening you during the festival."

Minji scoffed. "Of course not! You are welcome here." Sooyoung started gurgling in her arms. "Oh, does the pup need to be burped?" She cooed.

Taehyung piped up. "I can take care of Sooyoung if you'd like, while you catch up with Yoongi."

This recieved a smile. "Thank you Taehyung-ah."

The baby was passed into to Taehyung's arms and Minji started fussing over Yoongi.

Taehyung came to stand next to Jeongguk and Jieun. "Hello, I'm Taehyung. You must Jeongguk?" He nodded. "So this gorgeous girl must be Jieun then?" Taehyung smiled.

She shyly nodded. "You're even prettier than Yoongi told me."

"Jeonggukie calls me princess." she whispered, clinging onto her brother's leg.

"He does?" Taehyung cast him a soft glance. "Well I see why. Your hair is just like a queen's."

Jieun giggled. "I like you."

"I'm very glad to hear that. I like you too Jieun-ah."

Taehyung gently patted Sooyoung's back, a light bounce to his step in attempt to soothe the child. "So, Jeonggukie, it's nice to finally meet you. Yoongi's told me all about you."

"That bastard." Jeongguk joked.

"Don't worry, all good things." he responded. "Weren't we in school together or something?"

"I think so.I think I'm younger than you though, I'm 18."

"I take it Sooyoung is not yours then?" Taehyung laughed.

"No no, she's Dowoon's, he's the eldest." Jeongguk said. "He and his alpha, Jiyoo, are gone to help set up. We're going to meet them at the square in a bit."

Taehyung nodded in acknowledgement. "So how old are you Taehyung?"

"Ah, I'm 20, and just Tae is fine." Jeongguk raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I know, I know, 20 and unmated. My mother never lets me forget it."

"No, no, I don't think it's such a big deal." Jeongguk glanced over to where Yoongi was gazing at his omega with the softest eyes. "Looks like that might be changing soon though."

Taehyung followed his gaze. When his eyes landed on his alpha, they both shyly turned their heads. "I don't know, we haven't been courting for very long as it is."

Jeongguk laughed. "I've never seen anyone look so smitten. Yoongi's a goner for you, trust me. I know him better than anyone."

Taehyung was about to respond when Sooyoung finally gurgled and let out a tiny burp, eliciting a laugh from everyone in the room. "There you go." Taehyung cooed.

Mr. Jeon glanced outside. "Come, the sun has set. Let's be on our way."

The family trooped out of the house, robes glittering in the night. The entire village was out on the streets. Everyone was in their finest, newly ordered from the local seamstress. Jieun ran along with the rest of the pups, twirling with her friends as they compared flower crowns.

Taehyung and Yoongi walked in each others arms, as did Mr and Mrs. Jeon. Jeongguk's heart ached at the sight. He consoled himself with the promise of the little box tucked away in the pocket of his flowing silk trousers.

Upon entering the square, Mr. Jeon took baby Sooyoung from his mate's arms and walked off to find Dowoon. Yoongi and Taehyung had long disappeared and Minji shooed Jieun off to play with her friends until midnight. She set off towards the temple to pray to the fates on behalf of the family and for the first time, Jeongguk went with her.

They entered, leaving their shoes outside. As usual, Minji headed straight for Rhea, goddess of family to pay her respects and wish well for the upcoming season. Jeongguk, after careful consideration, walked over and sat down in front of Eros. He closed his eyes and clasped his hands together.

"Eros. Fate of love. Destiny. Mates." he began. "I kneel before you on this blessed night, my heart at your mercy. I have worked hard and bettered myself to be worthy. I ask that you grace me and grant me the favor of uniting me with my omega. I plead of you to bless us and let me care for him until the end of our days. I wish for nothing but him to return my affections."

He whispered it over and over like a mantra. When he opened his eyes again, his vision was blurry and he had to blink a couple of times to get rid of the black spots clouding his eyes. He stood up with shaky legs. "Please."

Minji stood at the temple exit, smiling at him. He walked up to her and as they were headed out of the door, she pulled his sleeve. He turned to her in surprise. "I knew there was someone." she whispered. "I hope they're good for you, Jeonggukie."

He smiled gratefully and offered her his arm outside. They stepped into the fresh air of the night and Jeongguk's mother breathed in deeply. "Do you know when your father asked me to court him?"

He shook his head. "It was a night just like this. Moon festival. I was dancing with my friends and he watched me, all night long. Just as midnight struck and the moon lit up, he dropped to his knees and pleaded me to accept him as a courter."

"Sounds like those fairytales you read to Jieun." Jeongguk said with a soft smile.

She sighed. "It was."

The evening went by as usual; singing, dancing and feasting to their heart's content. Jeongguk spun Jieun and all her little friends around and it eventually became a contest to see how many of them could hang from the alpha's arms at once. After 3 dances, he bowed to his little sister and walked over to where Yoongi stood.

"Where's Tae?" He asked breathlessly. Yoongi raised an eyebrow in the direction of his omega and Jeongguk's jaw dropped.

Next to Taehyung stood Jimin, looking more beautiful than Jeongguk had ever seen him. His robes were the purest white, reflecting the moonlight and creating beams of light through the darkness. Flowy breeches clung to his legs, decorated with silver trimmings. His shirt was loose and hung past his hips, a slit cut through the side so the embroidery on his trousers was visible. A silver belt hung on his waist, accentuating the curves of his waist and the arch of his hips.

His blonde hair was loose, hanging just below his ears. It swayed in the breeze of the cool night and sparkling ornamental flowers hung from the locks. He looked practically godsent, better than any of Jeongguk's dreams.

"There's your omega," Yoongi teased.

"Not my omega," Jeongguk whined.

"Not yet," he emphasised. "Go on, go seduce him."

Jeongguk glared at his friend. "I'm about as seductive as a cabbage."

"Jeon Jeongguk!" Yoongi hissed. "Just talk to him."

"Or what?"

Yoongi crossed his arms. "Or I tell Tae to tell Jimin about your undying love for him."

Jeongguk gasped. "You wouldn't."

"Try me."

"Fine," he grumbled, dragging his feet as he trudged over to the pair of omegas. Taehyung heard his footsteps approaching and turned around.

"Jeongguk!" He smiled and pulled the alpha into a hug. "Jeongukkie, this is Jimin my soulmate and best friend."

Jeongguk resisted the urge to say "I know" and settled for a polite handshake. ("Oh my god his hands are so soft.")

"You look familiar Jeongguk, do we know each other?" Jimin asked.

Yeah, I'm in love with you. He gulped. "Same school?"

Jimin exclaimed. "That's right! You were younger, right?" When Jeongguk nodded, he continued. "Mr. Nam's golden boy! He always boasted about your test marks in class."

Jeongguk suddenly found himself blushing and at a loss for words. He managed to mumble a quick thanks. Taehyung seemed to notice his predicament and smirked.

"I'm going to get a drink and find Yoongi, but you two have fun! Come find us before midnight." He skipped off, ignoring the alpha's glares of protest.

Jimin turned to him. "So, Jeongguk, you're an alpha?"

"Huh? Oh- yeah." He mumbled. "Presented last year."

The omega let out a giggle. "You're younger than me but so tall!" His arms reached up to ruffle Jeongguk's overgrown brown hair. "Like a baby alpha."

Jeongguk swore his heart dropped to the soles of his feet. He had no idea where the burst of courage came from, maybe it was a primal thing, but his hands flew to Jimin's waist. He gripped and spun the omega through the air. He set Jimin back down onto the ground; the older's cheeks were flushed and his hair was windswept.

He leaned in, close enough to Jimin's ear for only him to hear. "Baby alpha, huh?"

For a split-second, it looked like Jimin's omega had taken over and his eyes flashed blue. Jeongguk blinked and they were back to their usual brown.

"That was fun Jeonggukie." Jimin whispered shyly. "But you're still my baby alpha."

He wasn't sure what happened after that but Jeongguk spent the rest of the evening trailing after Jimin, much to the omega's amusement. He didn't mind the teasing though, he'd do anything if it meant hearing that laugh.

After an hour or so, it was nearing midnight and Jimin excused himself to use the restroom. Jeongguk took a moment to collect himself; he could barely process the turn of events.

"Well you look lovestruck." A giggling Taehyung sauntered up to him, Yoongi trailing behind him with a smirking glint in his eye.

He rolled his eyes and denied it. "I am not lovestruck, Hyung."

"Sure, kid." Yoongi laughed.

"So," Taehyung cosied up to him. "How's the date going?"

"Date?" Jeongguk spluttered. "Hyung! You told him?"

Yoongi gaped at the accusation. Taehyung chuckled at the alphas. "Yoongi didn't tell me anything Jeonggukie, you're just a little obvious. But thank you for confirming my suspicions."

Jeongguk mentally slapped himself. "You- You didn't tell Jimin, did you?" He winced.

Taehyung scoffed. "God no, what do you take me for?"

Just as Jeongguk let out a breathe of relief, Taehyung continued. "Any other omega would have figured it out by now but Jimin is just as clueless as you, unfortunately."

He frowned. "I'm clueless? About what?"

Taehyung smirked and took a long sip of his drink. "Don't worry about it."

"Hyung," he whined. "What?"

Taehyung opened his mouth to tease the alpha further when Yoongi piped up. "Isn't that Jimin? Who's that alpha with him?"

Yoongi's words had Jeongguk's head spinning in search of the omega. His gaze fell upon him standing across the square, the towering gaze of an alpha looming over him. He smiled uncomfortably as words slurred out of the man's voice, his drunken stance obvious even far away. Something feral took over Jeongguk's alpha; danger was all he registered. Someone was getting too close to their omega and frightening him.

Before Taehyung and Yoongi could stop him, Jeongguk barged through the crowds of people. He pushed his way past and stormed over to where Jimin's scent was becoming increasingly smokey with every passing second.

He snarled and reached for the alpha's shoulder, flinging him aside and onto the floor. Jimin's eyes widened. "Jeonggukie-"

"Stay away from him!" Jeongguk growled, defensively standing in front of the omega. "Do you hear me? Stay away!"

"What the fuck? He's not your omega!" The alpha had barely gotten up before Jeongguk had him back on the ground with a kick to his ribs.

Jimin's hands roamed over his scent spots in an attempt to calm him down. "Shhh, look at me Gguk, I'm fine, see?"

Jeongguk immediately turned his attention to Jimin, eyes flashing silver as his alpha tried desperately to check if their omega was hurt. He noticed the change in his eyes and realised that his alpha must be at the forefront. Jimin whispered to Jeongguk. "Alpha, you want to take me away? Come on, you can take me away from here."

Jeongguk swung him up bridal style and ran out of the square, ignoring the commotion they left behind. He carried Jimin to a quiet spot in the woods, setting the omega down on a rock before scenting him all over. It took all of his willpower

"Alpah- Jeonggukie." He said. "Look at me."

The scenting had grounded him and now Jeongguk looked up with his regular brown eyes. "Jimin. Fuck I- Jimin, I'm so sorry. I caused such a scene and.. fuck did I scent you without asking? Oh my god." He backed away from the omega with a regretful expression.

Jimin hopped of the rock and walked over to him, placing a hand on his chest. "Thank you Gguk. Thank you for defending me."

He bowed his head sorrowfully. "I still scented you."

In that moment, it felt like Jimin's eyes were searing through his soul. "Alpha. I would have stopped you if I didn't want it."

The words puzzled Jeongguk. "What do you- I don't understand."

"You can be so oblivious." Jimin smiled softly.

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Jeongguk asked.

Jimin chucked. "Do you really think I didn't know who you were before today? Gguk, I-"

He took a breath. "Jeonggukie, I've liked you for years."

Jeongguk's heart dropped. "What?"

"Don't make me say it again." Jimin whined.

"Hyung, are you serious?"

Jimin nodded. "I always saw you in school but you hadn't even presented so I had no idea if you'd even be an alpha. Besides, you were younger and I thought I'd creep you out. I know this probably isn't the best time and you don't even like me back but I just thought I had to tell you before spring starts. Why do you think I never accepted any of those alpha's offers? I've been pining after you for years, baby alpha."

Jeongguk's eyes welled up. "Fuck, hyung, I like you too."

Jimin's head shot up from where he was twiddling his fingers. "Gguk?"

"I like you, so much. For years now, god. Hyung, you were basically my sexual awakening." He confessed. "Am I dreaming? I feel like I'm dreaming."

Jimin's eyes burst into crescents. "You're not dreaming."

"I'm sorry, this evening wasn't supposed to be like this." Jeongguk sighed. "I was going to confess to you when the moon lit up, and I have a gift for you and everything-"

"You have a courting gift? For me?" Jimin stuttered.

"Well, it's not much but- yeah, I do." Jeongguk nervously pulled the box from his pocket and handed it to the omega, who gasped at the delicate woodwork.

"Come on Hyung, open it." he nudged.

His shoulder was hit by Jimin's tiny first. "Don't rush me, I need to process this. No one has ever given me something like this before."

His trembling fingers reached for the latch and flipped it. He prised the lid off the box and placed it gently on the rock before gasping at what he found inside.

A simple silver band with an opal delicately resting on it. It seemed purple at first glance but as Jimin picked it up and rotated it, the little stone glowed in every tone of the rainbow. He let out a gasp as it reflected hues of pink and blue, sparkling through the entire colour spectrum.

"Jeonggukie-" he sobbed.

"Look, I know it's not much but see-" Jeongguk stood behid Jimin and reached over his shoulders to let the omega see the inner band of the ring.

He whipped around. "Jeongguk. Is this-"

Jeongguk nodded. "Alpha, you can't just give me your family ring! I don't deserve something like this, it's so.."

"Hyung. I want you to have it. There's no one else I can imagine giving it too. I'm not trying to propose mating or anything, not yet, but if it doesn't care you off, I want you to have it."

Jimin choked back a sob. "You're such a dumb alpha, you know that?"

But as soon as Jeongguk opened his arms, Jimin clung to him like there was no tomorrow. Their scents mingled and the air was filled with clouds of vanilla and pine.

They closed their eyes and let their foreheads rested together as their hands clased each others. Jimin could hear Jeongguk's steady breathing and he whispered, almost too soft for the alpha to hear. "I'm dreaming."

A small smile crept onto Jeongguk's face. "I'm real, Hyung. This, us- it's all real."

Jimin let his joy overtake his face, beaming as he hid in the alpha's shirt. Jeongguk stroked his hair and held out his hand. Jimin placed his palm in the alpha's and the ring slid onto his finger.

He could feel it's weight. The promise it held.

He knew that while Jeongguk wasn't proposing mating, this alpha was going to last. His omega practically howled in affection, needing- wanting to be close to their alpha.

"Jeongguk." Jimin said. "Kiss me."

"Hyung-"

He repeated himself. "Please. Kiss me."

"The problem is-" he replied as he leaned in, thumb tracing the oemga's lips that he loved so. "If I kissed you, I don't think I would ever stop."

Their breathing was hot, heavy. Unspoken words hung between them. Jimin was acutely aware of the weight of Jeongguk's hands on his hips and the dark trail his gaze left over the omega's face.

Jimin's eyes drifted up to Jeongguk's and it was over.

The alpha caught his lips in a hard kiss, the pure force driving them apart. There was nothing gentle about it; they had both waited too long for this, craved the friction for too many years. Jimin felt the rock against his back as Jeongguk took the omega's face between his hands. Every thought in his head exploded into pure, pounding white and they felt curls of desire twist in the deepest part's of them, snapping their last restraints.

Jimin's kisses, Jeongguk thought, felt like home; a place you always longed for but never knew. They warmed his heart like a big bowl of soup on the coldest winter night and yet froze him like an icy pole.

He let his hands roam, gripping Jimin's waist and thighs and hair as the omega arched against the rock. The omega nipped at his lip and he let out a groan that sent the omega's gut twisting. He let out little moans of the alpha's name, murmuring nothing but "Jeongguk" between breaths.

His body curved up into his alpha's hold, fingertips raking over his back. Desperation practically seeped from both of them. It was only when Jeongguk's hand roamed over the slit of his robe that Jimin gasped and they broke apart for air.

Neither could open their eyes for a moment, Jeongguk holding his weight over his omega. Jimin giggled hoarsely when Jeongguk's hair tickled his neck, breaking the silence.

"Baby?" Jeongguk whispered.

Jimin hummed.

"Happy moon festival."

Jimin looked up past Jeongguk, gazing at the sky and let out an exclamation.

The moon hung directly above the pair, glowing brighter that Jimin had ever seen it glow. "Did we- oh my god, Ggukie, did we make out through midnight?"

The alpha laughed. "I think we might have."

Jimin gazed into Jeongguk's eyes, biting his swollen lips.

"I'm so happy." he confessed.

Jeongguk nuzzled him gently, gently pressing his lips onto the omega's forehead. "Me too, baby. Me too."
