Enough.

Summary:

Moon Young had had enough.

Notes:

Read at your own peril as I don't intend to continue with this. I'm not a writer, have never written fiction before and I don't enjoy writing. I genuinely prefer reading but this has been in my head for days and it needed to be let out. Lols.

This takes place around episode 11.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

She sat in the one seater, both arms resting on each side of the hand rests, legs crossed, facing him. She spoke, her tone flat and emotionless, "You, my father and my mother were right. People should avoid people like me. I AM a monster that only she (my mother) could love."

He stared at her, seemingly struck dumb by her words.

She could see a mixture of shock on his face and another emotion she couldn't quite place, was it hurt? Maybe it was the realisation of what his words had meant to her and how it had affected her; she honestly didn't know and frankly right now, she didn't care. All she knew was she wanted him out of this house and away from her.

"Go Moon Young" he half whispered, sounding stricken, "That's not true. You know that's not true."

She closed her eyes, tilted her head back and took a deep breath before opening them again to look at him, her gaze cold. Sounding exasperated, she said "Really? Which part isn't true? From our last conversation, you literally told me to get lost; that I was just a 'one time event'. Not only that, you packed up and left as fast as you could from this place. From me."

Raising one immaculate eyebrow she pressed on, "Your words and actions have been pretty fucking consistent, don't you think?"

Not giving him a chance to respond, she continued, anger now evident on her face, "And now you want me to believe that everything you've said up to this point was a lie? Why? What possible reason could you have for saying the things you said to me the other day? To see whether this empty can was capable of feeling emotions? Did you get a kick out of seeing the results? Was this fun for you?!"

She paused, her hands now balled into fists, "Well, congratu-fucking-lations. I hope you were entertained."

He looked like he'd just been slapped and dammit she wished she had actually slapped that pretty face of his.

Sighing bitterly, she continued on, "Look, I got your message loud and clear, Moon Gang Tae. There's nothing left to talk about. I'm leaving you alone and I deserve to be alone. I don't know why you're here now pretending to give a shit about my feelings, and frankly I don't care. Leave. Go back to your life with Oppa. You can let yourself out and make sure to leave the keys. There's nothing left in this house which belongs to you so you won't ever need to come back here, ever again. I made sure of it when I sent those boxes to Oppa yesterday."

And with that she got up from her seat, turned around and left. The sound of her heels echoing across the hallway and up the stairs to what could only be to her bedroom, he thought as he heard the doors slam shut.

Silence filled the library. He was rooted to his seat. Stunned.

3 nights ago, on her birthday, when he'd tried to enter her room after she pulled her hand away from him on the staircase, he'd found her bedroom door locked and she had refused to respond to his requests to let him in and talk. He'd given up after a while and had gone back to his place that night, exhausted and still feverish. Since then, Moon Young been ignoring all his calls and texts asking to talk.

Yesterday, he'd come home from work to find boxes containing the rest of his and hyung's stuff which he hadn't manage to take from her house, in their living room, including Mang Tae who was now perched on his hyung's bookcase. Panic, fear and worry took over him the minute he noticed Mang Tae and now more than ever, he desperately needed to see her and talk to her. He needed to know she was OK and to apologise for the things he said.

Apparently, Moon Young had dropped the boxes off in the afternoon while he was at work and his Hyung and her had made amends. He tried but failed to pry more details from his hyung about what else had happened between them, but his hyung only said that he and Moon Young were now back to being best friends.

So he sent her a text to say that he'd be coming over the next day after work, and he'd bring dinner, hoping that his offering of food might make make her less angry. He knew she was angry and hurt by what he had said and he wanted to explain himself. He was also worried that she might not have been eating well these past few days.

But his text, as usual these days, went unread. He didn't care and went over to her house anyway.

Coming back to the present, this wasn't the outcome he had envisioned when he turned the  key in the door and entered the house. He had caught her by surprised and somehow in the midst of her confusion and before she could even think to throw something at him, he managed to convince her to sit down and hear what he'd had to say.

Except that she was done listening to him.

This had turned out so very differently than what he had expected. He sat there, not knowing what to say or do, still trying to process everything she had said.

He knew that saying sorry wasn't going to be enough. He'd fucked this up royally and it was going to take him moving heaven and earth before she would even begin to contemplate forgiving him. Fuck, he thought. Fuck.

Notes:

Thanks for reading guys. Feel free to change it or add to it to take it where you need to take it. Preferably, I'd want a grovelling begging Gang Tae. And then smut. Loads of smut.
