Work Text:
It was a normal day for Musutafu City. As a green haired man walked on the streets, dressed in casual clothes, he mused about the unusual good weather his hometown seemed to be having for the past few weeks. Not that he was complaining, though; Mina had been very grumbly about the humidity, mostly about how all acid she produced would get diluted as soon as she produced it.
He passed by a sushi vendor, and waved in greeting to the owner, who waved back. Mr Nakari was by now used to the sight of the green haired boy and his girlfriends stopping by to try his new dishes on their numerous dates, as well as two of them coming by.
As he passed many of the shops, he idly looked at the products through the windows. He saw a flower shop, smiled at the sign (which read ‘Shouji’s Flora’) and walked in.
‘Hey Shouji,’ he greeted his former classmate. The man in question nodded to Izuku. ‘How’s a florist’s life treating ya?’
‘Good, surprisingly. Tsu is upstairs with her mom. Being pregnant kinda hampers Hero work,’ he joked to the greennette, who laughed.
‘You have any flowers that are Mina and Ochako’s style?’ Izuku asked
‘Well, now that you mention it, yes. A new consignment just came in, just a moment,’ Shouji said, reaching out one of his many arms to a box. He picked out two bouquets, then handed them to Izuku. He paid for the flowers, told Shouji to say hi to Tsu for him, then left.
Bouquets in hand, Izuku turned into an alleyway to approach the back entrance to their shared apartment. Yes, he was sneaking into his own apartment, majorly because he didn’t want some excited fan to find out No 1 Pro Hero Deku’s home. Best to use the back entrance.
He entered his house, and was immediately assaulted by all of the four puppies he had. Chuckling and setting the bouquets down, he knelt to greet Mai, Izu, Akari and Godori.
After the four pups greeted their owner, they dispersed to the play area. Izuku picked up the bouquets, then headed to the kitchen. True to his instincts, Ochako was sitting there, having some food. He smiled, then handed her a bouquet as he kissed her. ‘I’m back, hun.’ Ochako distractedly smiled, still shuffling through the tax papers. Being a Pro Hero didn’t exempt one from paying taxes, after all. He ruffled her hair, much to her dismay, which she showed through a whine.
He moved to their shared bedroom, where Mina was lying on the bed on her belly, watching something or the other. He snickered, then bopped her head. ‘I’m back, Pinky.’
Mina looked back, and squealed, then hugged him hard. ‘Hi Izuuuu! How was patrol with Bakugou?’
‘Good, but people wouldn’t stop taking autographs from the top two heroes, Deku and Ground Zero themselves. Also took a while to extract us from the fangirls, and thankfully he and Kirishima let me in so I could escape from their backdoor.’ He shook his head, causing his hair to fluff out. Mina giggled and presses a quick kiss to his lips. Then she looked down at the bouquet, and squealed again.
‘Finally noticed, huh?’ he joked. She hugged him again. ‘These are beautiful! Where did you get them?’
‘From Shouji’s, they had just come in. And nothing but the best for my girlfriends,’ he teased. Mina’s cheeks dusted magenta as she playfully swatted his arm. ‘C’mon, help me drag Ochako away from the taxes. Its time for dinner.’
They both went out and managed to convince Ochako to put the papers down long enough for Izuku to cook and serve dinner. As usual, the three took turns feeding each other, slightly giggling at the sighs of happiness Mina gave in response to the amazing (as usual) food. FInally, the three settled for a night of cuddling and movies.
This was just one in many days for the lovable trio. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.
