Chapter Text
Days pass.
During daytime, Shinobu tended to her patients, accomplished missions, and trained Kanao. When nights fell, she pored over paperwork, replenished stocks, and stole what moments she could have by Tanjirou’s bedside. Everytime she did this, a figure watched her in the shadows. Oftentimes, it followed Shinobu around the estate; Shinobu always made sure to stay out of sunlit paths and spaces.
But like the rest of the mansion’s residents, Shinobu didn’t know what to make of Nezuko’s attention.
“Maybe Nezuko-san’s restless?” suggested Sumi.
“Or she’s worried for Tanjirou-san!” cried Kiyo.
But Naho had wondered, “I think she’s lonely.”
