The sun was starting to set. You had a new mission: take out the "monster" that has taken over an entire building. Of course it was not a monster really, it's probably a junkie with a transformation quirk. The bastard scared all neighbours out of their homes that afternoon and was probably still looking for money and jewelry. You encountered another hero outside, no other than Eraserhead was standing in front of the building. You knew him of course, even though people like you and him were supposed to be unnoticed by the public he had become quite the topic in the last few years. He didn't know you of course, you were better than him at keeping a low profile.
He was checking his phone and then looking at the building number while you decided to introduce yourself.
"Eraserhead I assume? I'm-" he looked at you when he heard to speak and held his open hand in front of your face.
"No fans, I'm working"
You raised an eyebrow at the assumption.
"I'm Shade, I was sent here to have your back"
He pinched the bridge of his nose while looking back at his phone.
"I'd rather work alone"
"We'll cry me a river, I'm going in"
He followed after you.
The building was pitch black, but you could see perfectly. In fact you preferred working in dark places, your eyes were very sensitive to the light. But turning the lights on was the polite thing to do for your new partner here. You flipped the light switch a couple of times but no response.
"Let me check the power"
"Don't take too long" he said while taking a tiny flashlight out of his utility belt. You found the power box. The padlock had been destroyed and a quick look inside showed that the wires had been bitten off.
"Yeah, not good, take a look at this" you said stepping back to let Eraserhead look at the damage. "You good working in the dark? I can take care of this alone"
He gave you a menacing look.
"I'll be fine, I've got a flashlight"
"Ok" you said shrugging "I'll take the left flats and you take the right flats"
"Sounds good"
"The intruder seems to have a transformation quirk, be prepared for anything"
He hummed and opened the door to your right. All doors seemed to have been taken down, this intruder was no joke. The flat had been destroyed, you started to pity the person that lived there and hoped they had insurance. Whoever did all of the damage must have been big, there were claw marks all over the walls, even on the ceiling. They must have gone up using the stairs so you opted to use the stairs outside the windows, maybe you could catch them red-handed sneaking in and out of the windows. As you were going up you heard sudden movements followed by a loud growl. You rushed into the next apartment expecting to find the intruder but you only found Aizawa under a couch.
"You know, if you wanted to take a nap you should have gotten on top of it, not under"
"Shut up" he said while you helped him getting up "where's my flashlight?"
"I'm sorry Eraserhead but I don't think it survived the encounter" you said looking at the pieces of glass and plastic it had become "did you see the intruder?"
"Kind of" he said whipping his pants "he's some kind of shape shifter as you said, before I could look at him he became very small and the next thing I know he threw the couch at me"
"Ok, I think I can deal with him"
"I'm not leaving" he said putting his glasses back on.
"You can't see in the dark!"
"This man is very dangerous, but once I take a good look at him he's just a man"
"Oh yeah? And how do you plan to see him? you can´t face him quirkless"
He kept quite for a second but you spoke before he did.
"Ok, I think we can work this out" then you started pulling up his sleeve.
"What are you doing?"
"Here" you said holding his wrist "can you see?"
Aizawa started to look around the room
"... Yes"
"Let's go then. You'll have to let me touch you if you want to see what I see"
"What kind of quirk is this?"
"I can make people see whatever I want then to see by touching them. But don't worry, I won't make you see anything that isn't there" you pulled him out the window with you to go upstairs "in fact I was sent here to prevent the hero from shitting their pants" you said expecting a reaction from him, but he kept quiet "but then I saw you and realized they shouldn't have sent me. You're not the kind of hero that can be easily perturbed" at that he hummed "ok here we are, I'm going in first" you whispered still connected to his wrist.
The room you two walked into was still intact but you could hear footsteps somewhere in the apartment. You pointed to your ear and Aizawa nodded. He took the lead and pulled you into the kitchen but no one was there.
"Let's try the bathroom" you whispered into his ear "if he's not there there's only one apartment left"
He hummed back and followed after you.
"Do you see anything?" you asked taking a look inside the bathtub. You two felt a bit tight in such a small bathroom.
"I see what you see" he said annoyed.
"Oh right" you said, suddenly stopping checking your hair out in the mirror "ok, let's go to the next flat then"
He took the lead then, suddenly walking fast to the front door.
"Don't run, you're going to make me trip!" you said as he was almost pulling you out.
"We have to catch him before he leaves the buil-" he was cut short by you suddenly pulling him back inside, right when he was leaving the apartment.
He suddenly couldn't see anything, you had let go of his wrist.
"Shade?!" He yelled but you couldn't talk back.
The intruder was waiting for you two behind the open door, pulling you off Aizawa and covering your mouth. He was big and furry, he had you tight against his chest, your feet were off the ground and your whole face was covered by his hand. This guy had two options, either catching Eraserhead and letting you try to save him or catching you and letting Eraserhead save you. Since Eraserhead couldn't see in the dark he really thought he made the right decision but boy was he wrong. You reached both of your hands to his temples and used you mind control. Years of having that quirk of yours made you a master of deception and fear. You made him believe his feet were becoming mice and that they were infesting the entire apartment, trying to eat his skin and his eyes, to witch he dropped you to the ground. All that screaming helped Eraserhead notice where he was, and he quickly became a normal human while crying on the ground.
"You can let go of him, I've got him" said Aizawa using his weird scarf to tie him up.
"You sure?" you said finally letting go of the intruder.
"I wouldn't mind a bit of sight thought"
"Sure thing" you said holding his wrist again.
Aizawa kept tying him up while you played the part of his eyes. The poor guy was still crying his eyes out, he seemed almost grateful that Aizawa intervened. As soon as he was done you called the local authorities to take care of the intruder.
Now that he was a regular man Aizawa carried him out on his shoulder and put him down outside the building. Aizawa took a look around before locking eyes with you.
"Did you call the authorities?"
"Yeah, don't worry about it" He sighed like he was suddenly exhausted.
The authorities didn't take long to arrive and assured you two that you could fill the paperwork the following day since it was really late. Aizawa sat there, in the middle of the street making sounds and putting his fingers together. You noticed he was trying to catch a stray cat's attention but it just walked away.
Well, that's your cue to break the ice.
"I'm starving"
"There must be a convenience store around that corner" he said as he stood up to guide you there.
You two came inside. The cashier was startled to be receiving customers. It was very late. You started to eye the precooked meals. There were so many options you just went with a trail of sushi. Good and simple. As for a drink... You decided to pick a six pack. You hoped Aizawa was willing to drink with you tonight, you two deserved it after all. When you finally went to check out Aizawa was already exiting. When you got out you couldn't find him anywhere. It was kind of implied that you two would eat together but well, it didn't surprise you he left without saying goodbye. You walked for a bit and out of the blue a bandage appeared in front of your eyes.
"Eraserhead, is that you?" you said testing the fabric with two fingers.
"Grab it, I'll help you up" he said from the rooftop of the building you two were before.
You tried to climb but he pulled you up so fast you didn't really get the chance.
You noticed he'd put his groceries out of the bag but hadn't opened any of them; a yakipan and a couple of onigiri. Had he been waiting for you to arrive? You also caught a glimpse of the six pack that was still inside of his bag.
"Oh no! we had the same idea" you said pointing at the bee in your own bag.
"More for me then" he said taking one can out of the pack.
You sat in front of him, opening a can of beer as well. You really were hungry after using your quirk on Aizawa for so long, and then projecting such a nightmare on the intruder really drained your energy.
Aizawa was eating silently, ignoring how fast you were devouring your sushi. Even if he was ignoring your presence he could see you, how was that possible in the middle of the night?
"Huh" you said with a smile looking at the sky.
"What is it?"
"There's a full moon tonight" you laughed "the guy was actually impersonating a werewolf!"
"A thief with a sense of humor"
"I bet you love those" you teased shoving the rest of your sushi into your mouth. Aizawa was done too, he must have been just as hungry as you.
He ignored your teasing and opened a new can of beer.
"Is there anything you like Eraserhead? You know you're quite the topic around the underground heroes"
"Gossip and press screw with my work" he said pointing at you "people like you and I should keep our quirks secret to the public so we have an advantage against villains"
"I know but I'm not a reporter" you said finishing your first beer "and that's not what I asked"
"Hmm"
"You probably can't see it because it's very dark" you said putting away your empty can, creating some dramatic expectation "but a little cat just walked right behind you, be careful"
You've never seen a man spin in his seat as fast as he just did in front of you. His expression also changed from boredom to excitement, you were so glad you got that reaction out of him. You laughed so much your eyes started watering. You heard Aizawa approaching but you just laid down on your back laughing your ass off.
"So, no cat?" he said standing in front of you.
"I'm sorry, it was too good not to try it" you said whipping your eyes "I wasn't sure you would buy it"
For a second you saw two little dots and then everything went dark.
"Eraserhead??" you said looking around you "Aizawa, are you there?"
Then you heard Aizawa laughing in front of you "I'm here" he said.
"Oh come on, I can't see anything" you said sitting up and reaching for him.
"So? neither can I"
"Come on!! I was just playing!" you suddenly touched skin. You traced your hand up to his cheekbone and down to his chin. "This is you right?" you asked innocently.
At that he did laugh, blinking and freeing you for a second, but you went immediately back to pitch black.
"You're no fun" you pouted laying back down. At least you could see the moon.
Then you couldn't- was he on top of you?
The two golden eyes in front of you confirmed it.
You reached to cup both sides of his face with your hands to pull him down.
You closed your eyes first letting him ease into a short and chaste kiss before giving you another one, and then another. You started to taste the beer in his breath while you played with his short beard with your fingers, then you trailed your hands from the sides of his face to his back. He started to sink into you, to which you didn't complain. You kept tracing your hand around his back feeling his muscles flex. Then he stopped for a second to take a look at you, pulling a couple of hairs that had gotten on your face. The look he was giving you was priceless.
"I can see you now, you know" you said smiling at him.
And back to pitch black again.
But now it didn't take long for him to close his eyes as you pulled him down for another kiss.
