Chapter Text
It was a normal day for Izuku. He went to school, got ridiculed for not having a quirk, got beat up by Katsuki for still wanting to be a hero, Itsuka, his only other childhood friend, got frustrated that he wasn't practicing hard enough at martial arts, then bought him some katsudon for being rude, and then leaving.
Now he stands at the top of a building, getting ready to stand on the ledge. "I haven't gotten many visitors lately." Izuku turned his head to look at the person. They were wearing a hoodie that covered their head, so he couldn't see their face. "And who are you, if you dont mind me asking." Izuku asked with a little more malice than he intended. The person hopped down from the railing and turned towards Izuku, and izuku could see that he had black spikey hair similar to katsuki, but longer and his eyes had a cross in place of pupils.
"My name is Mori jin. I've been I. Japan for only a few days to find a successor to me and my friends." He said shrugging. "Anyways, why are you up here?" He asked. Izuku gave him a weird look. "I dont see why I should my personal life with you." Izuku said as he started to walk away. "Maybe it'll make you feel better if you do. Or maybe it'll change something in your life." Izuku sighed then shrugged. He turned around and started talking with the man.
After a few hours of explaining pretty much his whole life story up until that point, he sighed and closed his eyes. "Sounds like a rough life." Izuku glared at Mori. "Considering my life, that's probably one of the nicer things that's been said to me, but still, asshole." Mori laughed loudly. Izuku kept glaring at the man. Mori was about to say something when the door to the roof suddenly burst open.
"Izuku!" Itsuka barged through the door and tackled him to the ground. "I-itsuka? What's wrong?" He noticed that she was crying pretty heavily. She looked at him with teary eyes. "I-i was cleaning t-the lockers at the d-dojo and I found a piece of paper in it and found t-that I-it was a s-suicide note!" She showed him the note. "Shit. Thought I grabbed that." Izuku thought to himself.
Itsuka stood up and wiped her eyes. "I am taking you home this instant. Your mom has to be worried sick about you." She helped Izuku up and then started to drag him towards the entrance. As he was being pulled across the roof Mori gave him a slip of paper and closed the door behind them. "Who was that guy anyways? He had some weird eyes." Izuku didn't answer, he was too fascinated with the slip of paper.
"IZUKU!?!?" Kendo stepped out of the doorway and left Izuku, still fascinated with the piece of paper, standing wide open in the door frame. He looked up in time to be tackled by his mother. "Mom!" Izuku whined, while Itsuka was laughing. " I was so worried about you! Where were you?" Itsuka and izuku exchanged a quick glance at each other. A silent and quick agreement was made.
"It was my fault. I noticed that he had a rough day and made him go places with me." Inko looked at otsuka and jumped up. "Ah! Itsuka, I didn't see you there. I'm so sorry, please come inside and join us for dinner." Itsuka couldn't refuse the distressed mother,so she accepted. Izuku made sure to put the piece if paper in his pocket so that no one would ask questions.
After the dinner that the three had enjoyed izuku and otsuka offered to clean up. Inko, being the stubborn mother she is, had told them not to worry about it, but with persistence from the two teenagers and the stress the day had put on her she eventually gave in. Letting them know that she was too tired to stay up any longer she went off to bed. The two teenagers went took all the dishes into the kitchen. Talking as they worked they let time slip away. While cleaning dishes Itsuka asked a qauestion.
"So, who was that guy on the roof and why were you so fascinated with that piece of paper?" Izuku didn't answer for a moment just silently. Finishing the last dish he handed it to otsuka to dry and dried his hands. "Its getting late. I dont think it would be safe for you to go home now. You can take my bed and I'll take the couch." He grabbed the spare blankets out of his room and put them on the couch. "Izuku you need to answer the question." He stayed silent, face expressionless.
Itsuka sighed knowing that she wont get anything out of him at this point. He was a completely different person when he chose to shut down. "Whatever. I'll find out eventually. Goodnight try not to sleep in." Izuku waited for the door to his room to close. When he heard the click of the door, he pulled out his phone and the slip of paper. Text this number if you want to live your dream. Pulling out his phone he typed in the number.
