Work Text:
The sound of an alarm shrieks through out the building. Thunderous thuds of footsteps could be heard running through the corridor. A man signals his comrade his orders. Understanding the command of their leader, a buff man stood in front of the door. As if pumping his self-up, he squared off his shoulder and lift a foot up before the door and kick the door open with brute force.
BAM!!
Only to meet with a dark and empty room. The leader pushed him to the side and slowly gestures his men to follow him inside. True enough there was nothing in the room, not a single decoration and whatnot, the only thing decorated the room is the large mahogany table in the middle of the room and a single computer on top of it.
“What the…” The leader exclaimed. As if that was a trigger, the computer lit alive. The silhouettes of three women displayed on the screen, a blonde sat on a big leather chair while the other two sat on her left and right side of the arm chair.
“Hello boys, does your mother never teaches you to never enter a woman’s room without permission. Hmm?” The woman on the center taunts the intruders. “FOX, I don’t think they even have a single mannerism instilled in their puny bones,” The red-headed woman on ‘FOX’s left side spoke up, not even bothering to look up from the book on her hand.
“THE FUCK YOU SAY?!” One of the men in the room says furiously. “Come here an—,” the man stopped as his leader raised his hand silently signaling to stop. “Hmph, PANTHER was right. They have guts but not manners. Pathetic.” This time the blue-haired woman on the right spoke, her gold eyes looked at them in distaste.
“Calm down you two, that’s no way to treat our guest now is it? RABBIT, we need to make our guests comfort-.”
“WHERE’S THE STUFF YOU PROMISED YOU FUCKING LIAR!!”
The leader interjects. At that statement the blond leaned forward, her fingers interlocked in front of her, elbow leaning on the arm rest as she looked at them behind her interlocked finger with the coldest glare from her icy blue gaze.
“My promise… that I KEPT!” Her voice laced in anger boomed from the computer, echoing as if the woman herself is there. “The promise that YOU broke.” With a flick of her wrist the screen glitches for one second before it displayed the blond again. This time, alone.
“Because of that, it’s terminated.”
The computer shuts before crackling sounds were heard from it. The computer fizzles and crackled before it exploded destroying itself completely. The room filled with silence before a creak was heard and screams filled the soundproofed room. The leader turn and saw them. One by one he watched as a blur of blue and red slash and shot his men respectively.
As a heavy thud from the body of his last protection hits the floor, he slid down the wall behind him as his leg gave out, weapon raised shakily. The click clacks of a heel boots filled the room. In front of him, RABBIT and PANTHER moved to the side giving way to FOX. FOX move in front of him, knife pointed to his neck, as she leaned down and whispers near his ear.
“You should’ve kept your promise.”
“GOOD BYE.”
“Good job ladies.” Eli looked at her two friends from her rearview mirror. “It was supposed to be our day off today!” Maki whines at the back, pouting as she fiddles with her phone. “Well it can’t be helped. It is work.” Umi on the passenger seat quipped. “We were supposed to celebrate Eli’s birthday. Not work.” Maki interjected.
Chuckling at her friend’s antics, Eli continues her drive. “It’s fine, I’m sure Nozomi and Ai-chan will celebrate with me once I went home.” Smiling to herself, she hums happily at the thought of her wife and her daughter greeting her home with a wide smile.
Or maybe Nozomi can ‘celebrate’ with me tonight.
“Oh, apparently Ai is having a date with Mako. Nozomi just texted on the group chat.” Maki quips from the back nonchalantly.
SCREEECH
“OI!”
“ELII!”
“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!”
=Meanwhile=
“Ok Makochii. Our goal t’day is to find the things in mama’s list.” The teen said to her best friend as she puts her hand on her hips. “Ai, Mako thinks this is too much even for the both of us.” Mako looked at the long lists of things. “What does Ai’s mama even need for 2 boxes of tissues for? We can’t use that for the party.”
Ai just shrugged. “Maybe we ran out at home and mama just adds them there since we are going shopping anyways.” Both of them went to walked around the store trying to find the items from the lists. “Mako still thinks this is a bad idea. Mako should’ve asked Maki-p-mama to drive us here with her car.” Cheeks tinted red as Mako nearly slipped on how she called her other mother. Lately she’s been trying to change on how she called Maki since she accidentally heard her classmate saying that it’s weird.
“Makochii seriously just say it as usual. Ya know I don’t care.” Ai rolled her eyes as she grabbed the party hats from the shelve and puts it in the shopping trolley. “Besides yer listenin’ to those meanies too much. Ah grab those tissues Makochii.” Grabbing the tissues and putting them away, Mako puffed up her cheeks. “You don’t get it Ai. You have to get in their good side to avoid trouble or else Mako wouldn’t even care about it.” Ticking off the list, Ai looks around and gestures to the next aisle.
“I can report them to Ayumu-sensei for ya. It wouldn’t be baseless accusation since they have been a problem for the StuCo too.” Ai raises her eyebrow as she grabs the paper plates. “And don’t even think that I forgot about that time they ‘accidentally’ pushed you. If I wasn’t there you would’ve broken a bone.” At the memory, her emerald eyes darken as she remembers those mean people almost hurt her precious friend.
“I-I… Fine. If something happened, we’ll go to Ayumu-sensei. Geez, you worry to much I-I can take care of myself.” Mako pouts silently as she grabbed the paper cups for the party and they both continue to the next aisle.
“I know but I can’t just let someone precious to me get hurt under my watch. Your special.” Ai says nonchalantly as she hefted up two 1-liter bottle in the cart. Not realizing behind her, her auburn-haired friend froze and her face lit red.
‘MOU! That side of you Ai!’
“*huff* Besides, as the disciplinary committee president of Nijigasaki High, I can’t let anyone get hurt unless I can’t help it. Ah! Let’s go to the next one. I think the next aisle should have the coco’s.”
“MOU!”
BAM!
“YAZAWA NICO!”
“IT’S NISHIKINO!”
“WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?! SHORTY!”
“WHO ARE YOU CALLING SHORT YOU GIGANTIC RUSSIAN!”
TWACK TWACK
“Oww!!” Both Eli and Nico cried out while holding their throbbing head. They both turned and saw Nozomi smiling at them while holding a spatula menacingly. “Both of you calm down. You’re going to wake Kotori-chan’s baby up and we JUST got her to calm down and sleep.”
Sitting in seiza style, both of them bowed their head and apologizes. “Now I sent Ai-chan and Mako-chan to the store to buy some party stuff. Elichii and Maki-chan will now go and get them from there.”
“Eeeh? Why me?” Maki protested but a glance from Nozomi she just nods without question and drags Eli out to the car.
“MY BABYYYYYYYYYYYY!!”
“Oh shush! You have more things to worry about. If we didn’t get our children Nozomi will have our heads.”
“MY BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!”
“How are you Kotori?” Umi went to her wife’s side ignoring all the ruckus behind her. Kotori smiled brightly back slightly tired. “I’m fine Umi-chan. How was work?” Giving a peck on her wife’s cheek, she shrugs. “Same old, same old. You know how Ohara-san is.”
“Ah Umi-chan is here nya!”
“Oh, where’s Maki-chan and Eli-chan?”
“They went to get Ai and Mako.”
“Umi-chan! Umi-chan! Help me bring the manjuu boxes in.”
“Are you sure ya can carry those? We can switch if you want.” Ai sweat drops as she watched Mako struggled to carry the two plastic bags filled with 1-liter bottles. “I-I’m f-fine! I can ca-carry it! I! WILL! NOT BE! BEATEN! BYTHIS!! *grunts*,” Mako pants and wheezes as she tries to lift them up.
‘Ya broke your character though Makochii.’
*sigh* “You’re always so stubborn.” Without saying anything she switched out her plastic bag with Mako’s. “Ah! Wait-,” Mako just watches as the turquoise-haired girl just lifts the two bag she was struggling to lift as if it was nothing.
“You can carry those Makochii. Ya goin to break yer bone’s if ya kept tryin’.”
“Ok bu-,”
HONK HONK
Both of them turn and saw a familiar car parked near them. The door on the driver side opens and a blond-haired woman appears waving at them. “Papa!” Going to the car, the passenger side opens to reveal Maki going out to help the children put the stuffs on the back of the car.
“What are you guys doing here?”
“You mother told us to grab you.”
“Did you get everything?”
“Yea! We got most of em’.”
“One! Two!”
POP POP
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY Eli/Elichii/Papa!”
Colour strings and confetti rains on the living room as cheers and music filled the room. The celebration continues as candles are blown, cakes are cut and distributed to everyone.
Eli sat back as she watches the living room is bustling and filled with cheerful energy. Sure, the party string would be a pain to clean in the morning with the glitters from the confetti and she was sure she just saw Honoka and Rin tried to start a cake fight with the duped cake.
“Elichii?”
She glanced as her wife sat beside her. “How was the birthday party?” Nozomi asks as she interlaced their finger together. “It’s perfect.” Eli give her a peck on the lips. “Every birthday everyone gave me is always perfect. Even more that Nozomi is by my side for every single one of them.”
“Mou, ya charmer~” Nozomi shyly nudges her. “Ya’ sly fox.” Eli just chuckles and nuzzled to her wife, a smell of lavender wafting from her that always calm her down.
“One day, I might not be able to be beside you though.” Humming in acknowledgement, Eli hugs her wife. “I know… None of us can live forever, our friend might be gone along the way, our children will grow, one of us will probably leave first.” She looks at the scene in front of her, Alisa, Yukiho, Honoka and Rin playing around with the string can. Tsubasa, Erena, Nico and Maki are supervising the party while keeping an eye on Mako and Ai. Anju, Umi, Kotori and Hanayo are fawning over Kotori’s baby.
“But you know what, this life I have. With everyone, with our kids, I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
“Because all of you have been my greatest presents that I have in life.”
