Chapter Text
*Deku's POV/a bit in third person too*
If- if only I had been able to save him. My younger self.
I was so happy and full of life back then. So full of the ‘h’ word. The ‘h’ standing for hope. Ugh, what a dreadful word – why do I even regret it though? I’m so much happier here than I was before.
Forest green hair, waving in the wind of the streets. Bold green eyes stood out from all the rest. The ‘civilian’ named Izuku Midoriya strolled down the empty, abandoned street, seeing if anyone was following him. No one. Still deserted. As he entered the building, an awfully familiar scent came rushing to him; it was the scent of home, the base to the League Of Villains, his home.
Izuku went straight to the back, demanding his villain clothes. Soon enough he confidently walked back out, into a bar full of villains just like him. Red stripes ran down the long black-green cloak that trailed behind him with pockets galore inside, mostly filled to the brim with weapons - a hood resting on top of his head. A grey mask stretched across his face, with sharp teeth racing from corner to corner. The dark green, long, bunny-like ears, lay resting on the back sides of his hood. A skinny yet baggy piece of clothing relaxed across his body, a snug fit with dark green and black mixing as an army-like, camouflage pattern across the body suit-like clothes. Blood red boots sprinted up his legs, coming to a stop shortly below the knee where it met the black-grey top of the boot. Gloves coated his hands but stopped at the fingers – just after the knuckles. Hair now streaked with red and green, black as a base colour. He was no longer Izuku Midoriya a simple UA student/civilian - no no no. He was now Deku, a well-known villain – not to mention popular, especially with Toga.
A blonde-haired girl with messy buns quickly runs up to me, a psychotic look in her eyes. “Hey Izuku!”, she says warmly, hoping to get some of my blood today like usual, I think to myself. “Hey Toga, thought I told you to call me by my villain name when there’s many villains around, didn’t I?” I reply, not wanting any of these lunatics to hear her and rat me out. “Awww, but Izuku is soooo much more cuter than boring old Deku... pleeeaaassee?”, she asks in a flirtatious way. “No means no Toga, not when there’s this many people around anyway, okay?”, I reply after a long sigh. “Okay then.”, she replies sounding kind of gutted.
Suddenly, a man with purple-red scars approached us, “The boss wants you.”, he says stretching a long, bony finger out at me. “Shigaraki or All For One?”, I reply, slightly worried to know the answer. “All For One” he replies in a rough voice. “Oh, okay thanks Dabi.”, I reply after a second or two. I wonder what’ll happen this time. What does he need me for?
As I walk into the back of the bar, Kurogiri is waiting for me. A dark, void-like, empty portal suddenly appears in front of me. I cautiously step through, asking myself where I’ll end up this time. I reach the other side; my hair and cape immediately blow over to one side. “Ah, Deku. Glad you made it.”, he says in his cold, stern-as-ever voice as the portal closes behind me. “Y- yeah”, I say shivering, barely able to get sentences out of my mouth. “What are we d-doing today? And here?”, I say wishing for a reply. “You’re going to train to use your quirk in the freezing temperatures today. You’ve been progressing nicely lately, don’t want to stop that.”, he quickly replies seeing how cold I am. Upon hearing that sentence, my interest peeked; I loved using my quirk – especially if it helped fix our broken society.
I begin training, my body warms quickly in this cold temperature though. I spot some villains with similar quirks to the pro heroes and instantly know they’re who I have to train against. I begin with just the one on his own, going in with just my bare fists. As soon as I'm able to touch him I will be able to use his quirk against him. One touch. One finger. I fought harder, knowing All For One was watching me. I finally managed to lay a finger on him, his fire rapidly stopping. I quickly begin to use it knowing I only have a certain amount of time until he regains it and I lose it. After a few minutes of fighting with his quirk, I feel it begin to fade and grow weak. This could only mean one thing; time was running out. I figured I probably had about a minute or two until he got his quirk back and I needed to re-charge for a bit. Luckily, I began to increase the amount of flames I was using. I managed to beat him with just seconds to spare. The flames went down and all that remained was a single body, blood covered – but that was normal.
Just as I began heading over to the group I had to practice on, a distant swirling noise grew closer and closer. A helicopter. Portals quickly reappeared; everyone was brought back - except for the one I defeated. His straggling, unconscious body remained back there. The last thing I saw was the dream crusher, pro hero Allmight appearing on the scene before I went fully through the portal. There was no doubt he saw the portals, the same went for the camera. As I fully emerged from the portal, the portal swiftly closed, and the news flicked on. The place where I had just been training had been discovered, not to mention the guy we left there. Then, they went back over the footage and spotted the back of me. They had me, on TV now. This was a first for me; I had never been caught on camera before. Only had people draw what they saw. All eyes turned to me. “You made onto TV!”, Toga happily said congratulating me. The other villains viewed this as a good thing, an accomplishment. But I knew this wasn’t good, and it looked like Shigaraki thought the same as me. I could tell this was the beginning of my villain life though.
