The Hound from Hell

Summary:

Not everyone treats quirked children with amazed eyes and words of praise. If a child were to show a truly exceptional quirk then sure nothing but songs of praise will reach their ears. They sit on the top of thrones made of those below them. Others aren't so lucky.

Those with weak or no quirks at all are treated like servants, paper pushers, and anything else that could be considered demeaning to a human. They lay on the bottom of the hierarchy. There to hold up the thrones of the more powerful.

And finally, the lowest of the low. Those who are pushed off and abandoned. Left forgotten and alone amongst the thousands of broken souls. With powers that aren't necessarily weak or extraordinary. It's just these powers, these people, these children, possess are deemed evil, different, too outside the norm for the stereotypical good to accept the power these kids were born with.

Though for now please enjoy this new fic of mine ^^

Chapter Text

A small bar in a bad part of town was being subjected to the harsh flashing lights of police cars and the demanding yells of police officers. A fight broke out between a couple of drunks and they had used their quirks.

Though it wasn't anything new. It happened frequently enough at that bar and all the other ones around. Hardly anyone ever actually calls the police, though it happened to get bad enough to warrant their presence and a couple of sidekicks to boot.

Though no one outside the conflict paid mind to the commotion. Much like the small figure that was walking away briskly from the commotion. They weren't very large or tall. They were small with a black hoodie that swallowed their form, skinny jeans that hugged their legs and revealed pale white skin in the rips, finally they also had long pointed ears on the top of their head sticking out from under the hood, and a fluffy tail that swayed behind them. It wasn't too much of a guess to say the figure was a young teen.

It was late at night with no stars being seen in the skies. Nothing but the endless black void making up the sky. It wasn't a very comforting thing but neither was the sirens of more police cars showing up. The sound echoing off the walls of the large crumbling old buildings along with the bang of distant gunshots. A gangster fight further away?

It didn't matter, none of it mattered as it wasn't anything new. It's just how this neighborhood worked and the teen continued on their way. Not stopping to stare at police cars rushing past to deal with drunks and dumb minor villains. Not risking a peek down alleyways filled with crookes, hookers, and hobos. No, they continued with a single designation in mind.

They finally did stop. Stopped momentarily in front of a small two story building. It was just as old as the others around but a bit smaller and more worn down. A small concrete porch with broken rusted railing led up to an old moldy door. A flickering light hung above the door with moths fluttering around it. Casting an ominous lighting to the porch.

Not waiting for a second the teen walked up the concrete steps, their tail and ears shining a green sheen under the poor flicker light. The teen grabbed the door handle and slid in through the door. The handle was broken and it was pointless to replace it.

Once inside, the teen crouched down and took off the beaten up old red sneakers. Leaving the shoes at the door. They crept quietly along the filthy wooden floors. Being Careful of the floorboards that creaked and the several piles of trash and broke random things around. With the swiftness of a fox and grace like a cat. The teen made their way up the stairs and down the cramped hall to the first door on the right.

Slipping in, the teen was nearly knocked off their feet by two small kids. A boy and a girl. "Nii-san! Your back!" The two happily chimed quietly.

The boy has long silvery white hair that reached his shoulders. He also has healed ripped skin around his mouth exposing his teeth through the stretched holed skin on either side of his face. He wore a large old dark blue shirt that ended just above his knees and a pair of old patterned Gang Orca pajama pants. He was silent but you could tell he was trying to smile with his damaged face.

The girl is a couple inches taller then the other boy. She has the head of a frilled lizard and a long whip thin tail wagging happily behind her. Her scales were a pretty scarlet that matched with her spiky raven black hair that reached her mid back. A large ripped red shirt was on her shoulders as well with Ryuko printed pajama pants. Though unlike the other she had no problems smiling with her scaly snout and chattering happily up at the older teen. "Did you get us food? Did you, did you?!"

The older teen pulled his hood down to reveal curly black locks with a green sheen, freckles dusted his cheeks and nose giving some color to his pale skin. Other than the large bags under his large kind emerald green eyes, that shined with happiness at the two kids. He smiled down at them, sharp fangs revealed in the toothy smile. "Just a second. You have to let me sit down first." Neither kid was afraid of the kind fanged smile.

The two kids hung on the older and refused to let go. Though it didn't seem like the older mind, his tail was wagging lazily behind him. As he held them up in his arms securely. Both kids giggling in delight.

Their room was square in shape, it was also small and bare. Though it definitely had more space then anywhere else in the building. There was a small twin sized bunk bed that hugged the right side of the room a pink and blue blanket on the respected beds claimed by the two younger kids. An old wooden desk got the opposite wall. It was clearly well used as papers, pens, and pencils were strewn atop it. Right next to the desk is another slightly larger mattress on the floor. There were no blankets on this bed. Only a very flat pillow that could hardly be called a pillow at this point sat on it.

Avoiding the very few toys they actually had on the floor. The older boy sat down on the old floor mattress. The two kids sat on either side. Both were practically vibrating with excitement. Making the older teen chuckle quietly. "Hold on a second. I did manage to get some stuff…."

The older teen dug through the pockets of his large jacket. He finally pulled out two large slightly smashed sandwiches and a bag of small mixed candy. The two kids eyes widen at the sight of the candy. The small boy spoke softly. "You got candy? How?"

The girl, Fujun Kemono, also looked amazed. She was practically drooling at the sight of the sugary tooth rotting treats. "How did you do that Nii-san?"

Smiling, he handed them each their sandwiches. The two grabbed them quickly and chow down on the offered food. "The convent store worker gave them to me. It's candy they couldn't sell because the owners canceled selling the product."

The boy, Minato Aito, looked up from his food. He was having to chew more slowly and carefully then Fujun. After all, he did have several holes in his cheeks. Though he looked curious. He was always eager to learn more. "Why?"

The older teen, Midoryia Izuku, happily explained it to Minato. "Sometimes the people who pull the strings don't like something and therefore remove that item from the store. But the worker didn't want to throw perfectly good candy away. So she gave it to me for you two."

Minato hummed and nodded. His eyes trailing the floorboards below him. "Cool. Can I have a jaw breaker?"

Fujun was nearly half way done with her food. Her vicious eating habits reflect her fiery personality. She jumped in for the chance of sugar too."Can I have some gummies!!"

"Finish eating your sandwiches first." Izuku playfully scolded them. Popping a mint into his mouth he grinned at their distraught faces. "Then you can have a piece of candy each."

"Ok!" Both kids turned back to their food with eagerness.

Izuku looked towards their bedroom door. He frowns as he listens to the happenings in the rest of the house. His ears facing forward to catch the littlest of sounds beyond the door.

"Has Tamashi bugged you guys at all since I left?" He asked when he knew both kids were done eating their sandwiches.

Minato shifted with unease at the name of that woman. With a quiet voice he responded to the question. "She was yelling about something earlier but she didn't come in here."

"I think she's still awake…" Fujun cherped. Her face scrunched in consecration. Her forked tongue flicked out a few times and she finally gave up on her concentration. A disgusted look on her face as she rubbed her nose. "I can't really tell."

Izuku nodded and patted them both on the head ruffling their hair. With a small smile he gave them both two pieces of the candy they wanted.

He turned to Fujun, his right ear lopping to the side. "Remind me to help you with honing your senses during are free time tomorrow outside, ok?"

Nodding an excited ok in response. He gave her an encouraging smile. It has less teeth than his earlier smile. He stands up from the bed and makes his way back to the door.

"I'll be back in a moment."

He can sense that they're tense and the familiar smell linked to fear reaches his nose. He can't comfort them. It's a stab to his gut that he can't reassure them. He can't tell them he's gonna be ok cause he can't be sure physically (and he just won't go into his mental problems. That's for him to deal with on his own.)

Carefully walking through and closing the door behind him. Izuku walks back down the cramped cluttered hallway and down barely there stairs. Once in the unrecognizable kitchen. He turns to a different door on the other side of the kitchen. He makes his way over and pushes the door open slowly. Making his steps heard this time as he slipped into the dark room.

An old woman is seated on an old recliner chair in the far corner of the small rectangular room. A simple wooden cane leaned against the nearby table stand that sat next to a large bed. The room was only lit by the lamp on the side table. Though in the dim lighting you could make out other pieces of furniture, large bookcases filled with books, and random trinkets.

The old woman was dressed in a simple nightgown with an ugly pattern of flowers with equally ugly colors. Her silvery gray hair came down to her shoulders. Large thick glasses were perched on her narrow nose as she stared down at the hardback book in her lap. Her hands ran along the pages. Her nails unusually large and curved hung off the book as her fingertips glided over the page.

He stayed by the door, keeping his ears pressed against his head and forced his tail to remain still and out of sight behind him. "Miss Tamashi did you need something?" His voice was quiet and soft. It might have been a bit cold and void but it was better he talked the way she wanted him to.

The lady didn't immediately look up from her book. Though she finally did mark her page and looked up to meet around where his gaze was. Her eyes are a milky violet color. They were unsettling to look at so he just looked at her weirdly shaped star nose.

It seemed like it took her a while to recognize who stood before her, but it wasn't questioned. Pushing up her glasses, she smiled overly sweetly at him. Her crooked teeth did nothing to help with her overall appearance. "Yes. I was hoping you could go shopping tomorrow. My back and knees are acting up again…"

Izuku hums and nods his head, never taking his eyes off the older woman. "Sure thing. You want anything to eat?"

She looked thoughtful for a moment. One of her hands gliding to her side table. Nails catching the wood making small gashes in the wood, something that the table has seen a lot of. Her nails lightly bumped a pill bottle near the middle of the table. The few pills in it moved and clicked against the plastic.

"I could use some food with my pills… if it isn't too much of a bother."

"None at all." Izuku says still quiet and cold. His tail itched to move and wag to get rid of his unease. Though he kept the urge buried. He really didn't wanna deal with spooking the blind woman and potentially having a broken tail again. (Though that's not really what happens. No he's attacked for his mutations)

"What have the pests been up to?" She asked suddenly and rather cruelly. She was now looking up, glaring at the roof. The wood is faintly heard creaking. It's from all the junk that's in this building. Too much trash and junk, it's gonna collapse in on itself some day.

He shakes his head to get free from his troubled wandering thoughts. "Minato and Fujun haven't been bothering me. There good kids." He easily defends his siblings. No they were never a bother to him and would never ever be to him.

She swears that the names mentioned. Though ultimately moves her head in a way that says she's done with him. "Whatever."

He'd bows his head in submission. Finally taking his eyes off her for the first time and is instead looking to the trash and paper covered floor. "Do you need anything else?"

"No."

"Ok."

He takes his leave after that. When the door closes behind him he can't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Miss Tamashi was in a passive mood tonight. He wouldn't have to deal with injuries from her tonight. He wouldn't have to rush Fujun and Minato out the window to their back up home.

No tonight it was gonna be a calm night. A much needed and long over do night in his opinion. But it's gonna be calm regardless.

He gets to work on making her a small bowl of ramen with the only burner that's kept clean and cleared off.

He can't wait tell he's a hero and can leave this place with his siblings. They all and everyone else like them deserves a better life. Deserves an opportunity to find their true family.

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Quirk: Hellhound

Quirk type: mutation transformation

Description: User shares similarities with both foxes and wolves. When fully transformed User is about 6ft 10inchs tall and about 8ft long excluding the tail. Their fur is black with a green under coat and an even darker green sheen, under the eyes are bright green lines that line the bottom of the eyes. User has the slick build of a fox but the muscle and audited of a wolf with a large narrow but powerful snout, large ears, long thin legs, large wide paws, and a long fluffy fox like tail.

User is also typically on fire when transformed. The top of the mane of fur going to the shoulders, the elbows joints on all legs and paws, and last but not least from the tip of Users tail up to their hunches are all burning with green tinted fire. The few cases where user wouldn't be on fire would be if the user willed for their form to not be in flames or if there is enough water around to douse the flames, though that would require a lot of water. With both cases User would still be burning hot to the touch.

The user's base form has long fox-like ears, claws, and a tail similar to a wolf. Users also have a higher body temp than others, though it doesn't risk burns to others. In this form it is harder for the user to light their hair on fire but it can happen with enough negative or strong emotions. Though in this form the user does have small pyrokinetic abilities. They are able to bend nearby sources of fire. When under User's control the flames will get a green tint to them.

Drawbacks: if User were to get sick instead of getting feverish, User will experience the opposite and get severely cold. With Users' higher body temp, a cold flash can be potentially lethal to User. User may have mostly a fox's looks but they certainly have the audited and instincts of a wolf. The instincts can get violent and hard to control but, User also shares the more motherly-side of a wolf as well.
