"I'm gonna get you!"
soft giggles cold be heard echoing around the cozy home. a little dark skinned girl, no older than 5, with hair as white as snow is seen running around the hall with a huge smile on her face, a man in his late 30's chasing her around with a smile as big as hers.
a beautiful dark skinned woman in her late 30's walks to the living room, her heart swelling with love and happiness at the sight of the two most important things in her life right in front of her.
"mommy! help me! help me!" the little girl screams as more giggles escape her.
a breathy laugh is heard from the mother, "mommy to the rescue!" she yells as she scoops the little bundle of joy into her arms.
the man nears the two girls, his smile not faltering as he says, "tsk you aren't getting away from me that easily, nori!" he traps the two females in a bone crushing yet still soft hug. they all tumble down to the floor, laughs heard all around the house.
the little girl closes her eyes as she lets out the most melodic laugh the parents have ever heard.
her eyes suddenly snap open, silence engulfs her.
in place of the 5 year old sits a 12 year old noriko. the smile on her face instantly replaced with a look of horror.
"m-mom....dad!"
everything seems to be blurry except for the two figures laying on the floor.
blood.
it's all she sees.
blood.
"MOM! DAD!" her voice cracking as tears cascade down her tan face.
*BOOM*
noriko suddenly jolts awake. loud rumble of thunder could be heard from her slightly opened window.
heavy pants escaping her mouth as she tries to control her breathing.
footsteps could be heard running towards her room, the door slams open as the thunder instantly stops.
two red irises staring back at her as she finally breaks down into a sob.
