Six months later
I love it when we're at a party in a down-town crowd
Namjoon and Seokjin were surrounded by all their friends, congratulating them on the new home.
It took them awhile but they had finally found the perfect house in an even perfect neighborhood.
The house was beautiful, big and a spacious yard for the dog Seokjin already wanted to adapt.
When Seokjin bought it up Namjoon couldn't help but smell down at him, kiss him on the lips and whisper 'one thing at a time.'
So now Seokjin had to wait.
He was happy though.
Yoongi and Hoseok along with Namjoons childhood friend Jackson pulled Namjoon along with them away from Seokjin and the younger ones for some alone time.
Oh but I can hear you call me baby with the music up loud
Seokjin was laughing at something Jungkook said when he felt someone watching him.
The smile was still on his face when he turned his head, looking left then right.
His eyes finally landed on Namjoon from across the room.
Namjoon was staring at him.
And even from this difference Seokjin can see the love shining in the younger's eyes.
The smile on Jins face grew and Namjoon couldn't help but smile back.
Red wine, good times, no I don't mind being with everyone else
As the night wore on Namjoon found his way back to his boyfriends side. Everyone was happy.
Taehyung and Yoongi couldn't seem to keep their hands off of one another while Jimin was on the verge of drunk while Jungkook and Jackson took shots and poor Hoseok was just trying to watch over both of his younger lovers.
Namjoon draped an a around Seokjin's shoulders. "How are you feeling?"
"Good," Seokjin looked up at him "you?"
"I'm good."
"Good." Jin laid his head in Namjoons shoulder, watching their friends.
"Wanna go for a drive?"
Seokjin frowned. "Now?"
"Why not?" He shrugged.
"What about them?" Seokjin motioned to the group in front of them.
Namjoon smiled. "I think Hoseok's almost at his wits end."
Seokjin looked over at him and sure enough he was now holding a passed put Jimin.
Seokjin shook his head. "Let me go help him whole you grab the baby."
"Baby?"
"The one taking shots."
Namjoon laughed.
And then there's night life tonight that I, I want you to myself
Forty-five minutes later Namjoon and Seokjin were finally able to help Hoseok gather his boyfriends.
Jimin had fought the whole time complaining that he didn't want to leave while Namjoon tried and failed to pull Jungkook away from his drinking game he had going with Jackson.
Yoongi who had been drinking water quickly gathered a stumbling Taehyung in his arms and took him out to the car.
"For someone so short he sure can handle him." Hoseok said a little to loudly.
Yoongi looked back at him, smiled and winked at them.
Hoseok couldn't help the blush that colored his cheeks.
They said their goodbyes to Jackson who waved, blew one last kiss toward them and hoped in his car.
And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio
It was another ten minutes before they themselves were ready to go.
"Are you okay to drive?" Seokjin asked as he buckled his belt.
"Yes."
"You sure?"
Namjoon chuckled. "Yes love I'm good."
"Okay." Jin smiled.
Namjoon started the car, put it in drive and drove.
And we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow
"Where are we going?" Jin yawned, reaching over to grab at Namjoons hand.
"It's a surprise." Namjoon laced their fingers together.
"This late?" Jin leaned his head back on the headrest.
"Why not?" Namjoon repeated.
Seokjin chuckled.
"Get some rest I'll wake you when we're there."
With that Seokjin settled deeper into the seat.
Saying everything without making a sound,
A cricket choir in the background, underneath a harvest moon
Seokjin woke up to gentle kisses littering his face. He blinked opened his eyes, smiling when he saw Namjoon leaning over him.
"Where here." Namjoon gave him a quick peck on the lips before pulling away.
Seokjin rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he unbuckled himself. He got out of the car and froze.
"Oh Joonie." He breathed out.
In front of his were hundreds of flowers all illuminated by the brightest moon Jin has ever seen. The stars were shinning like crystals against the darkened sky. Trees lined the outside of the meadow, swaying in the gentle breeze. Fireflies casted a warm glow around them, twinkling as they flew around them. Crickets could be heard in the distance, chirping a beautiful melody for one other.
"Do you like it?" Namjoon asked softly.
"It's beautiful."
"You truly are."
Seokjin looked up at Namjoon. "I love you."
"I love you to."
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
Oh woah, and we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
"Dance with me." Seokjin grabbed Namjoon by the wrist pulling him into the flowers.
"Now?"
"Yes." Seokjin laughed.
"There's no music." Namjoon looked around.
"Sure there is." Seokjin grabbed one of Namjoons hands in his while he gently placed the other around his waist he then put his other hand on Namjoons shoulder. "Close your eyes." Jin whispered.
Namjoon did as he was told.
"Now listen and follow me." Seokjin whispered.
"Aren't I supposed to lead?"
Jin laughed. "Your hilarious Joon."
Namjoon shook his head but then he tightened his hold around Seokjin's waist, leaned down and whispered in his ear. "Lead away."
Seokjin was glad the younger's eyes were closed or he would have seen the blush that graced his face, neck and ears.
I wanna feel it like a kick drum, beating faster in your chest
Namjoon swayed as Seokjin started moving, setting a slow and steady pace.
The longer his eyes were closed the louder the noise around him grew.
He could hear the tree leaves rustling in the wind. The buzzing of the fireflies as the flew around them, the crickets chirp as they called to one another. The gentle sway of the flowers as they rubbed against their legs.
It was a different type of song, one that nature made itself on this beautiful night.
I wanna feel you holding onto me and make me hold my breath
It was beautiful.
Namjoon opened his eyes and met Jins eyes who had been looking up at him with a fond smile on his lips.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Seokjin whispered, not wanting to disturb the song.
Namjoon bought his hand up to gently cup Jins cheek. "It is."
Jin smiled, bright and beautiful.
"God, Jin I love you so much." Namjoon leaned down.
"I love you to." He said against his lips.
Their lips met and at that moment everything was right in the world.
You pull me closer, my head on your shoulder, baby we won't beat the song
Jin pulled away, breathless.
Namjoon wrapped both of his arms around his shoulders pulling him close.
Jin wrapped his arms around Namjoons waist, laying his head on his chest.
Jin felt Namjoons heartbeat.
It was fast but soothing knowing his heart matched his.
They swayed in the moonlight as they listened to the everything around them.
"Jin."
"Hmm."
"I know it's fast and it's okay to say no," Seokjin pulled away from Namjoon, looking up at him with a small frown on his face "but all I know is I want to spend the rest of my days with you."
"Joonie?"
We'll make a fallen star wish, one more slow kiss, what are we waiting on?
"Kim Seokjin," Namjoon got down on one knee, pulled out a small box from his pocket and opened it.
"Will you marry me?"
Seokjin gasp.
The gold band sparkled as the moons light reflected off of it.
Tears formed in Jins eyes. "Joonie."
Namjoon stood up, taking on of Jins hands in his. "Baby?"
A sob left Jins mouth as he placed his hands over his mouth.
"Baby," Namjoon closed the box.
"No!" Seokjin sniffled.
"Okay." Namjoon frowned as he put the box in his pocket. "I'm sorry."
"Joonie..."
"Hey," Namjoon pulled Jin into a hug. "It's okay, I'm sorry. I knew it was to soon."
And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio
"Joonie." Seokjin wiggled in his arms trying to get lose but Namjoon held him tighter.
"Baby, it's fine. Don't worry about it."
The sincerity in his voice made Jin tear up once again.
And we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow
Seokjin cried.
Namjoon frowned not knowing what to do or say so instead he held him in his arms.
Seokjin was so overwhelmed with emotions that all he could do was cry.
His heart was filled with so much love at that moment that his tears were the only source of relief he feared that if he held it on much longer he would burst.
He was crying cause he was happy.
And Namjoon didn't know this.
Saying everything without making a sound,
A cricket choir in the background, underneath a harvest moon
"Shhh." Namjoon soothed as he rubbed a hand down Jins back.
Jin wanted to tell him but every time he tried to pull back Namjoon just held him tighter.
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
Yeah we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
Seokjin was finally able to calm down enough to pay attention to the beating of Namjoons heart under his ear.
It was fast, erratic even and Seokjin knew Namjoon was scared.
He was scared and it was all his fault.
I wanna feel it like a kick drum, beating faster in your chest
"Joonie."
"Hey baby." Namjoon stroked his hair. "You okay?"
"Yeah." Jin nodded.
"Good. You ready to go?"
Seokjin felt his heart squeeze.
And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio
Seokjin was finally able to pull away.
He looked up at Namjoon who had turned away from him.
"Joonie?"
"Come on it's getting late we should leave." Namjoon turned to leave.
Jin frowned.
"Namjoon."
Namjoon stopped but didn't turn around.
"Yeah?"
"Will you please look at me."
And we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow
Namjoon tensed.
He was scared, scared to turn around and hear what he didn't want to hear.
He was scared but really it was no one's fault but his on. He knew it was to soon. Moving in was one thing but marriage was totally different.
He didn't think about how Seokjin felt.
Saying everything without making a sound,
A river rolling in the background, underneath a harvest moon
Seokjin watched as Namjoon turned.
He gasp.
Tears were running down the younger's cheeks.
The moonlight making them stand out brighter then what they actually we're meant to.
"Joonie." Seokjin held open his arms.
Namjoon wiped the tears from his eyes as he walked over to his boyfriend.
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
"Joon," Jin wrapped his arms around the younger as he held him close.
Joon bent, resting his forehead on Jin shoulder.
"My beautiful, sentimental boyfriend you didn't even let me answer."
"It's okay."
"No it's not."
"Jin really," Namjoon pulled away "you don't have to say anything."
"Then how would you know that my answer is yes?"
Namjoon froze, staring down at Jin. "What?" He finally asked.
"Yes."
Namjoon stared. "What?"
Seokjin laughed, he gently placed his hands on Namjoons cheeks, speaking slowly as he stared in Namjoons eyes. "My answer is yes."
"To what?" Namjoon was still in shock.
Either from his mental breakdown at the false refusal or the real answer that he couldn't seem to process.
Jin chuckled as he rolled his eyes. "Yes I'll marry you."
"Okay."
Seokjin raised an eyebrow. "Okay."
"Yeah. Okay, I'll marry you." Namjoon nodded.
Seokjin smiled. "Good."
"Good."
Seokjin laid his head on Namjoons shoulder, once again swaying to the music of the night.
And we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
